For anyone who is in love or who has been in love or who wants to be in love, I recommend that you see Like Crazy. It's a truly intimate portrayal of young love and all its ups and downs. The film is beautifully shot and perfectly acted (all the dialogue is improvised, so amazing!). Like Crazy gives you a charming yet bittersweet view on love. And all its "gory bits".

I don't know about you but I am ready for the cooler weather! I probably say that at the end of every summer but this summer's humidity was off the charts. I want cozy sweaters, scarves and warm, rich, deep colors to occupy my wardrobe once again. The outfit above is definitely my go-to ensemble for the fall and winter season. I'd wear this apple picking or to a haunted house or through a corn maze. Basically, I just love fall!

For August I choose the color beige for my color scheme of the month series. I feel that beige is a nice color to end the summer with. It's a simple reminder of the beach, the golden sand and ultimately the summer season itself.

I know I can't be the only one who drools over beautiful kitchens, right?! To make a meal in any of these kitchens would truly be a dream come true. The thing I love the most in these pictures is the Smeg fridge! The things I would do for a Smeg, man. I also love the idea of a clear fridge door (though, you'd have to keep your fridge pretty neat!) And I can't forget to mention all the gorgeous tile work. I especially love the subway tiles (who am I kidding, I am OBSESSED with subway tiles).

Update on the pup!

Brutus is getting bigger and bigger by the second! He is still a bit nippy but he's learning not to bite too hard. As you can see, he's been loving the beach this summer. He got to hang out with his sister Sonnet and his biological mama Marsha.

I think he looks pretty handsome in his new collar. He doesn't wear it very often; only when we go out and about. For the dog owners out there, check out Lupine collars... they are great! Very durable and they have a lifetime guarantee (even if chewed)!

I don't know why but I have a fascination with Newfoundland. It just seems like such a warm and cozy place to live. I can imagine living in some little cottage by the sea, drinking tea and reading a book by the window as I watch the snow fall.

The moment I saw this picture on Pinterest, I knew it had to be featured in this edition of Color Inspiration. It has an obvious dark and brooding quality to it but I also think it's very beautiful. I wouldn't want to go swimming there or anything haha but it would be nice to look at from afar!

I have loved this song for what feels like forever. It's over six minutes of glorious piano and heart-wrenching lyrics. I believe my heart first fell in love with this song when it was used in the Another Earth trailer (you can learn more about this movie here). This song just gives me so many feels I can't even explain them. When you listen to it, you will know what I'm talking about!
