Taking A Few Days Off Due To Illness

Because of illness in my family I will be taking a few days off from blogging. My children are sick and they need my constant care and attention. Everything has been put on hold until they get better. This also includes the long list of chores my hubby has to do, including installing the new bar faucet for the bathroom sink. We'll just have to put up with the leaky old one until everyone is feeling better.

I found this video on YouTube. Yeah I know I should have been doing other things besides playing around on YouTube, but that's besides the point.
After I watched it it got me to thinking yeah there are lots of things I love about Facebook, but there are LOTS of things that are annoying about it.

I agree with a lot of these, but mainly what I hate about Facebook is the friend suggestions on the sidebar. Just because someone I know is friends with someone doesn't mean that I have ever met that person. What do you hate most about Facebook?

I was driving down the road the other day and I noticed a car pulled over to the side. There was also someone standing in the middle of the road looking up at the trees. I pulled over when I saw what he was looking at, a bald eagle.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween! Don't eat too much candy. I know we always have so much left over candy, because I always buy too much, that I end up eating way too much. I bought too much again this year and I'm probably going to have to get some weight loss pills because of it. Happy Halloween everyone!

Talk about a matching outfit! Lindsay Lohan matched the color of her hair to her dress. Why did I ever think of doing that, oh wait maybe because it looks a little weird. Hey could you imagine if she wore this outfit to a night club. With the lights and shinny floor tiles they have in there a person could be blinded by her outfit...I'm just saying.

Do you read gossip magazines? I do and I have to admit they are entertaining. It's interesting to find out who is dating who, who's wearing what, and who got weight loss surgery Mexico. Sure I know almost all of the stuff they say in gossip magazines isn't really true, it's a twisted version of the truth, but they are still fun to read. Heck sometimes I even read National Enquirer just because it's entertaining, not that I really believe that there is a Bat Boy living somewhere in Montana. Do you read sometimes read magazines like this?

If you click on the photo you can just make out the head of an osprey sitting in it's nest. This is actually a photo I took about 7 or so years ago. I was cleaning out my storage room and there was a lot of boxes labeled "photos". I grabbed the box cutter, opened them up and found all kinds of wonderful old photos I had. It was great reliving all the old memories from looking at the old photos.

Because of a oncoming storm it got really dark out the other day, but what was really weird about it was there was a patch of sun shinning on the distant mountain. It made it light up like it was almost glowing.

I have a lot of stuff to do today, pay bills online, check out some life insurance quotes, and of course clean which is a never ending battle. I also want to try and get some blog hopping in today. I feel so bad because it's been so long since I visited and all my regulars spots. Sorry guys! So what are you doing today?

My daughter is going on 16 so it's been a while since I had to buy little girl clothes. I do have a couple of nieces and for Christmas this year their mother asked if I could get them clothes instead of toys. Since it's been a while since I bought little girl clothes I wasn't sure about sizes or even styles nowadays so I had to do some research on how to buy clothing for girls.

I did find out that one of the most popular "it" items for girls clothing this year are North Face Denali jackets. Not only are they cute, but they are also very practical , which is a plus when it comes to Christmas gifts.

Remember those lace fingerless gloves Madonna wore in the 80's? Well it looks like they are making a comeback. Celebrities like Rachel Bilson, Rhianna, and Drew Barrymore has been spotted wearing them. Sure there were some good things about the 80's, the music rocked and finding low cost health insurance was easy. I don't know about you, but I think that the 80's fashions should remain in the 80's....I'm just saying.

Christmas Shopping

I safely made it back from Christmas shopping yesterday, barely, but I did. I couldn't believe how many other people were out Christmas shopping. I've never seen so many people purchasing Nintendo Wii's before at once. It seemed like every third person I saw had on in their cart. There must have been a big sale on it or a promotion of some kind. I never saw any ads on it, but it seemed everyone was buying one. Maybe they used some call center services to promote them? We already own one so I didn't need to pick one up for Christmas, but I did pick up a Nintendo DSI for my daughter for Christmas, which was almost as expensive as a Nintendo Wii. Christmas is very expensive and I'm not even a quarter done yet. Thank goodness it's still two months away.

I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow and I'm dreading it. I love Christmas, but I hate Christmas shopping. This is the reason why I'm trying to get it done early. Of course I always say that and right up until the very end I'm still shopping. This year I plan, okay hope to get most of my Christmas stuff done early enough so that I can actually enjoy the holidays. I have a couple of presents bought and I already chose the Christmas invitations I want to order, now just to get everything else done in the next two months in the tricky thing. Leather Shorts

I'm pretty sure it's Fall and soon to be winter so why in the world are celebrities like Ashley Greene, Whitney Port, and Ciara wearing shorts let alone leather shorts. I guess leather is a Fall material, but as shorts....really? Even if I wanted to wear those I would have to go on a diet. My backside is just a little to large to squeeze into leather. Not So Much A Good Weekend

I mentioned that I was taking the weekend off to rest and relax. Well I kinda did that, not just because I wanted to, but because I was sick all weekend. It really put a damper on my restful weekend. Hubby had to work all weekend so he really couldn't help out around the house much, but he did do a few things like order new furnace and AC filters. Thankfully my teen aged daughter was home this weekend and she help me out a lot. Thank you so much Aurora, you're a wonderful daughter!

Sisters....you either love them or you hate them. Okay, maybe you can do both. I have three sisters and I love all of them. I'm close to all my sisters, but I'm closest to my sister Sharla. We're close in age and I guess you could say we're best friends....whether we want to be or not. The best thing about sisters is that you can always depend on them, and in turn they can always depend on you. Sure sometimes they drive you batty and makes you wonder how in the world you can be related. Heck sometimes you even wonder if one of you were adopted, but all in all you love them. You would do anything for them, and you know they would do anything for you. For all of you who have sisters out there just remember that you may not always get along, but you will always be sisters through thick and thin.
