Get ready for picture overload!

I ALWAYS have a hard time picking just one or two pictures. Too many facial expression and sweet little looks to narrow my favorites down.

We had gone to the grocery store and picked up some super cute candy for Tyler to have during a little photo session. He was actually excited about having some pictures made .... OK ... I am kidding myself here. He was really wanting the candy that I promised him. Yes, I have started bribing.

I pulled the big sucker out & the first thing Tyler said ... FOR ME MOMMY??

... can I open it now mommy??

... can I have chocolate now??

My sweet baby is growing up way too fast! Every picture I take reminds me of how fast he is growing up. He loves to tell me in the mornings 'mommy look, i grew bigger last night!'

Yes, sweet baby! You are getting bigger!

But you will always be my baby!!

I have been talking about moving for some time now. It always felt like it was SO far away and would never get here. Well, it's here and lets just say, I'm not adjusting very well. Don't get me wrong. I am excited to be starting a new chapter for our family. I am SO happy that my husband finally done with everything. It has been such a long journey that has not always been easy or fun.

When we moved to this cozy little town six years ago we never expected that we would meet such an amazing group of friends. Friends that have become our family.

But as our time here in this cozy little town comes to an end, it brings the sadness of having to say our good-bye and farewells to so many people that have touched us both with beautiful friendship, sweet kindness and have been a tremendous support.

Of course I am sad and heart broken to be leaving this amazing group of friends but I feel so incredibly blessed to have met each one them!

Is moving every easy?

Saying good-bye so hard especially to great friends!!

You guys have touched my heart to the very core and I love each of you!!

I wanted to share a beautiful note that I received this morning from Tyler's teacher. Saying good-bye to Tyler's school ... brings me to tears just thinking about it. I just adore each of his teachers. The love and kindness they have show Tyler has touched my heart and I will forever be greatful for each of them.

WOW! I can't beleive it is already Oct. and Tyler's last day is Friday. He has grown so much this past year. He has enjoyed our class playing with all of his Primrose friends. Tyler, you will have to tell your new Teacher you like to snuggle on her lap for a little bit some mornings before you start your day. Tell her your favorite color is blue, you love to have converstations at Circle Time, you like to dress-up and pretend to be a fire fighter and police officer with your friends. You are an awesome block builder you can make boats, trains and airplans all by yourself. You love to play with play dough, pain and draw using the "blue" markers. You love books about fire fighters, sharks and dinosaurs. You will have to teach your new Teacher the "chicken dance" it is your favorite song to dance to. She will have to run after you outside so you can play hide-n-seek with her. When she is having a rough morning be sure to give her one of your "big hugs"

We will miss you all!!

We are turning the page to a new chapter and a new journey for our family. It has been one heck of a ride full of crazy memories and I would not trade them for anything!!

Tomorrow is the last day ... the last day .... IT'S THE LAST DAY!

We can't go to the park without a juice box. What was I thinking!!

Ah, much better now! Tyler loves the park and we are very lucky to have one just down the street. Just a short wagon ride.

Tyler was so funny this day at the park. He seemed to be very protective of his little red wagon. I knew it really wasn't the wagon he was worried about. It was stuff IN the wagon. Don't mess with his juice box.

Tyler is full of facial expression that seriously crack me up. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to capture a couple with the camera. Today was one of the lucky days.

Everyday I see Tyler growing and learning something new. I am excited and sad at the same time. Not wanting my little baby to grow up too fast but excited at what the future hold for our smart little baby. He is full of energy and life. He makes me laugh out loud and when he wants a cuddle it just melts my heart and I want time to slow down just a little!!

This summer seems to be going by so fast! We have had to sell our house, buy a new house and arrange everything in between. There are too many "to do" list at our house right now. I am trying to slow down every chance I get and enjoy the small things.

Just. do. nothing.

Have you every wanted to do that? Well, I'm doing it today with the cutest little 2 1/2 year old I know.

This is fun! Just sitting on the sidewalk drawing as many sharks, whales and trucks that my sweet little boy ask for. He get so excited and has the best imagination. He totally understands my crazy drawings some how ... he gets it and I love that!!

I love that he has started helping me draw. Alligator in one hand, calk in the other!

This might look like an ordinary fish picture. But this is so much more to ME. This is Tyler's first time at drawing the eye, teeth and the blow hole. Of course it's a whale if you couldn't already tell.

I was so proud when he jumped up and said "mommy, i do it".

This time I was the one with the big happy proud grin. My baby just put all the parts in just perfect!

He is very serious about his drawings!

This really is the best way to spend the hot summer days.

Can you spy something blue and has three wheels in this picture?

Oh yeah!! Someone got a new blue bike and I'm not sure who was more excited by the smiles in this picture!!

That is a "push me mommy" look - just in case you were wondering. OF COURSE, I pushed that baby all around until he got the hang of those pedals. He was just precious!!

I wish you could have heard Tyler giggle as he saw all the little baby chicks. Daddy was right there with him to show him how to pick the little furry guys up.

Be still little babies ... here comes Tyler!!

There were SO many people around the little chicks. It was hard to get a picture of just Tyler. But, I got the moment he was able to touch his first little furry chick ... just precious!

Before long, Tyler wanted in the large bucket. He was not shy at all!!

Then it was off to see the cows ... can I get a MOOOOO

I just love that sweet little smile! He didn't seem to mind at all that he was the only one in the pin with the little pigs. I guess they were asleep or were they?!

It has been how long since I last posted pictures?! WOW ... I need to get busy

We spent a beautiful Saturday morning at a local farm having pancakes with animals. Tyler had a blast!! We were not sure how he would act around the animals but he was so much fun. Full of energy and excitement. Did not hesitate one second when given the chance to pet the cow or pigs. I have so many more pictures to post later. I didn't want to overload the post.

Easter 2011

Check out who was in the local newspaper on Monday morning ... just the BEST little Easter egg hunter E.V.E.R.

When the announcer said ... ONE ... TWO ... THREE ... GOOOOOO!! Tyler took off running looking for blue eggs.

Tyler had plenty of practice running after the blue eggs.

His first practice run was at school and you can tell from his face ... he means business!

Then on Saturday we were off to the big Easter Egg Hunt in town. You can tell from these pictures that Tyler was not sure what to think about the B.I.G. Bunny. He walked up with Brynn, gave the bunny a hug then he was done and ready to find the eggs.

Now, we have finally made it to Easter. Tyler had big plans to show daddy just how you do this Easter Egg Hunt!

As I promised earlier ... more Texas pictures.

Tyler was so excited when Uncle Chris showed him where the food was for Trigger and Star. He just automatically assumes that is his job. At home we let Tyler scoop out the food for Jazz so he is very familiar with the scooper. Just not one THIS big ... You should have seen his eyes light up when he saw the big bins.

As Tyler grabbed the BIG scooper we heard "mine" we just sat back and watched him work away.

One Year Ago Today ... Welcome Home Baby!

One year ago today we welcomed our sweet little boy home!

We were all prepared for a rough flight home. Seriously, I don't even like long plane rides never mind a 13 month old.

I had a bag full of tricks, treats and anything in between. But we were very blessed because we had an amazing flight home.

Of course I over packed .... it has taken me a year to say that out loud and Ray would be shocked that I actually admitted it {{insert laughter here}}

All Tyler needed to entertain him was bottled water and the remote control.

Everyone that sat near us played with Tyler. He learned peek-a-boo pretty quick. Got the biggest kick out of seeing his new friends hide from him. Obviously, he won new friends pretty quick.

Everything went so smooth. The airport, customs and the flight itself. Again, we were very blessed!!

We stepped off the plane to the best welcome party we could have asked for ... grandparents!

Friends waited for Tyler to arrive home.

Proud grandparents ... the big smiles give them away!

It is so hard to believe that it has really been a year. Amazing how fast time goes by.

This morning as I walked into Tyler's room to get him up I heard, "good morning mommy" ... "up mommy, cuddle" That has to be the BEST way to start the day!!

It is hard to believe that one year ago today we were in Korea waiting to bring our son home. Time has gone by so fast and yet it feels like Tyler has always been here with us. I guess he was always here, we had just held him closely in our hearts for a very long time ... we just had not met him yet!

Tyler is an amazing little guy! Everyday he surprises us with something new. He is smart as a whip and boy does he a personality! He loves to read books, loves to dance and sing, he is crazy about sharks and screams when he sees any big machine driving down the street - bus, dump truck, fire truck, tow truck ... you get the picture.

One year ago today we were walking down the street in Seoul.

We have waited what seemed like forever to finally meet our beautiful son. To bring him home was an answer to prayer.

As I was looking through all the pictures we took of our time in Korea I could not help but remember all of the emotions surrounding this very important day.

We were SO excited and VERY nervous but also extremely sad. It sounds crazy but it was just that kind of day.

So very excited to finally meet and hold our son. To begin our journey home as a family was an answer to prayer.

Very nervous ... did I remember everything, are we going to be late, are we going the right direction, are you sure this was the everything, and oh, I'm going to be a mommy!

Extremely sad because we had to say goodbye to an amazing family! A woman that played such a big role in our son's life. A woman that I could never express just how grateful we were for all of the love and care she gave our son! All I could do was hug her and cry!

WE are the lucky ones!! Tyler has truly been a blessing from God ... no doubt!

We're back ... did you miss us?!

We have been in Texas visiting family and boy did we have a great time!! I think Tyler had a L.A.R.G.E. time. He is now head over heals in love with Trigger and Star. Who is this you ask ... well, let me just show you.

I wish I had a little better focus for these fun picture but sometimes you just have to go with the moment and this moment was saying .... snap those pictures mommy!!

We seriously had such a great time with our family and friends in Texas! Good old southern hospitality at it's finest! We enjoyed the warm weather, good cold ice tea and just kickin' our feet up with good friends in front of an our door fireplace. Aside from our allergies deciding to give us problems it could not have been a nicer trip for all of us.

Tyler had his first experience at riding Trigger, which you see pictured here. He also was able to go for a ride on Star, a mini horse you will see later. He went on multiple rides on the tractor, golf cart and riding mower. He went fishing, dug for worms and saw the logging trucks at work. It was a non-stop week full of fun and adventures for all of us!!

Life is good!!

This week I am going to let the candy do the talking. Especially since we have so much of if left over this year.

'Love Bug' ... no, not a good name for this bug we had this year. 'Love Bug' was not even close to the house. It was more like a yucky "Tummy Bug' had hit the entire house. Valentines Day was not even on our radar screen this weekend.

There was not a lot of sweet talkin'. Actually, there was not much talking at all around the house.

But, every once in a while I would see a sweet little smile peak out from around the covers and look my direction from both of my guys.

We both put the celebrations on hold and took a "rain check" for all Valentine Day fun until everyones tummy was better. I had envisioned this day playing out much different. But, I was content and happy because I cuddling on the couch with my two favorite guys ... Happy Valentines Day!

Tyler has a BIG love for hats right now. I am sure he gets that from his Daddy.

Fireman hat, baseball hat, winter hat ... it doesn't really matter what kind of hat it is. This boy loves to wear hats!

I had laid Tyler down for the evening. Of course the hat was on ... don't we all go to bed with a hat on?!

He had insisted on having a book in bed with him as he drifted off to sleep. I could hear him as he talked to all the fish in his little book. Especially the shark!

I walk back in the room to find this ....

The book so nicely propped open in the corner of his bed. Just total sweetness!

I seriously can not plan pictures like this!! It just does not get any better than this!

Our B.I.G. day in court has finally arrived.

He had the Judge at Hello.

It was such a special day for everyone!

That is one HaPpY Family!

I was so excited to have my parents fly in town just for this special Family Day!! It was a wonderful surprise. This was all arranged by my sweet husband and parents to fly into town to surprise both Tyler and myself. I could not have ask for anything sweeter!

Tyler is Mr. PeR-SoN-Al-ItY for sure! He was pointing to the Judge :)

Does anyone notice anything wrong with this picture? This is a great example of where my head was after the proceedings were done ... I am raising my "other" right hand for the picture. At least Tyler has the correct hand up. Much better job than mommy!

Now I have totally confused Tyler because he is raising both hands ... duh ...

I know this day in court was to finalize the adoption for Uncle S@m and all that legal stuff but to us this was finalized the moment we saw Tyler's sweet face. He had us with those beautiful brown eyes! There was never any doubt that he was meant to be with us.

Thank you to my parents and sweet husband .... I am speechless!

Hello Blog world!

I know ... it has been a long time. I did not realize how behind I was in posting pictures until this past weekend. I was talking with a friend about backing up all my pictures onto an external hard drive. He ask me, "how many pictures are you talking about?" I said, oh ... maybe 300. I was serious. Really?! When I completed the entire process I had over a 1,000 pictures successfully backed up. I was shocked ... had no idea. That is just since Tyler came home in March.

I have decided my new years resolution is to get my pictures organized and keep the blog updated.

Several of my friends are doing Project 352 or Project 52 and that involves taking 1 pictures every day = Project 352 or one picture every week = Project 52. I am making up my own Project 52 and that will be (at least) one blog post a week. Sounds simple right ... for me it will a struggle in the beginning.

I will not bore you with 1,000 pictures of my sweet adorable little boy. I will post some of my favorites from the months passed by. We have had too much fun and I have captured some super cute moment to not post any of them. We have had our first Christmas together as a family and someone special has turned 2.

I have been a little distracted and I am loving every minute of this distraction ... I am sure you can understand.

Finding THE perfect tree

We went out this past weekend in search for the perfect tree. I had envisioned taking some fun pictures of father and son on a hunt for our Christmas tree. It did not quite work out how I had thought but we had a great time and Tyler really enjoyed walking around among all the BIG trees.

At least he did walk around which was much better than the pumpkin patch. But, he was not moving a muscle unless he had a grip on mommy's hand. Now ... that could not be any sweeter! I know there will come a day when holding my hand is the last thing on his sweet little mind. I took it all in and enjoyed the morning with my two favorite boys!

We had such a fun time on Halloween. A couple of Tyler's little friends joined us and the boys were just too stinkin' cute in their costumes!! There was no "trick" or "treat" that could pry then out of the wagon. They were only interested in cruising down the street in the wagon.

Tyler's school had a little Parade of Costumes the Friday before Halloween. All of his teachers were dressed up and we walked from door to door getting little treats.

Once Ray showed Tyler how the "trick or treat" thing worked he had a blast!

It was just too darn cute!

In the beginning he was much more excited about the helicopter that was sighted just over the playground. Of course it was a "BIG helicop"

We were S.O. excited about taking Tyler to the pumpkin patch. He loves pumpkins ... no really ... he loves pumpkins. Sure, they are learning about them at school, they are scattered all through the neighborhoods but this little guy is really on a pumpkin kick.

Let me back up just a little and explain how this may have started. I was standing in the checkout line at the local grocery store. Saw this cute little pumpkin video ... only $5 ... why not, it is only $5, right?!

It only took one time seeing this cute little story and Tyler was hooked. He wakes up saying "punkin ... watch punkin ... watch punkin peese". I usually cave in and play it while we both try to wake up. It really is cute hearing him say "BIIIIGGG punkin". He kind of growls out the word pumpkin. Not sure where he heard this but I do giggle every time.

Once it is over I kindly hear "again ... peese ... watch punkin peese" I am usually successful in getting his mind off the video, for now that is.

Then he moves right on to the little book "Five little Pumpkins". I then hear "rea book peese ... punkin book ... book"

As we walk out the door for school the grocery stores add book for October is in his little hands. Not to pulled out under any conditions. You can only imagine how pretty the cover is with all the pumpkins. I routinely get request to"read" this book as well. His teachers get a little kick seeing him bring it in every morning.

So, you can imagine just how excited we were to take Tyler out to the pumpkin patch.

We were both surprised when he became so fascinated with the tractor that took us back to the pumpkin patch. I had thought it might scare him a little. You know, the loud noise and big tractor.

He was so sad when it dropped us off and left us there among all the pumpkins.

We had a great time! Took home way too many pumpkins (HA! You thought I was going to say I took way too many pictures didn't you). I went a little overboard ... are you surprise?!

How do you like that little finger just pointing away?!

I need to explain the one little picture below. He is standing in front of some kind of farm animal that was just waiting for Tyler to give him an apple. Tyler had other things on his mind. More like ... tractor peese nooo gooo!! Translates into please tractor just stay awhile. Turn your engine off and take a brake.

Then at last we are back on the tractor for our final ride back to the car. Tyler is very happy to share his apple with the driver. He had a great time!

I am still going through pictures from this summer. My goal is to get everything caught up ... I am trying!

These pictures were taken in the backyard one sunny afternoon while he was playing on his slide. You can only guess who is waiting for him at the bottom of the slide with wet kisses?!

There is no way I could only pick just one picture to post of him coming down the slide. The entire series just cracks me up! You can see just how determined he is to make it down the slide.

He makes me laugh ~

I just love these little cowboy slippers Aunt Nancy and Uncle Chris gave him. He loves to wear them around the house ... how can you not giggle when you see them?!

I promise ... I was not driving the car and taking pictures of Tyler!!

We were sitting in the driveway loading the car when I saw his eyes sparkle in the sunlight. He was asking for Elmo ... of course.

He loves wearing hats right now. When I tell you he loves hats I really mean that! It's cute until bath time and he does not understand why he can not wear the hat in the tub :/ He has his two favorites right now and this camouflage hat just happens to be one of them.

This is one of my favorite pictures.

You can see Elmo reflecting in his eyes. He takes Elmo very serious, you can tell!

Just a few of Tyler's favorite toys.

He loves trucks ... garbage trucks to be more specific. He will hold his nose and say "phew" when he sees one drive by.

He also loves buses ... any bus will do. Our sidewalk is full of caulk drawings of buses in all different sizes. He does not really care if he knows you or not but if you walk past him while he has caulk in his hands he will ask you to draw bus. No joke. He is not shy about asking anyone to draw for him. Just ask our neighbors. Everything you draw on the sidewalk must have wheels. Draw a shark ... do not forget the wheels. Draw a triangle ... do not forget the wheels. Draw a ... well, you get the message.

He also loves to play with dinosaurs ... RRRRrrroar is all we hear! I love to hear him say dinosaurs. It sounds more like "di-di-dor"

There is really not much to say about the blue goggles other than ... it is just too stinking cute!!

I picked up these cute little goggles at the dollar store and they were the best little purchase this summer. Tyler had so much fun with them.

My camera was usually not ready for pictures like this because I was giggling too much but this afternoon I was armed and ready! The crackers and sidewalk caulk all over his face ... just add a little more color to the picture. He was having a blast and I am just sitting over the side watching this little guy explore.

We were playing outside playing in the water and riding up and down the sidewalk. I captured Tyler just at the right moment ... a mouth full of cheese and a little sparkle in his eyes. I love this picture ... if you look real hard you can see my reflection in his eyes. I just love those brown eyes!

Who said you can not have fun in the rain? Of course this was a different day but the same kind of great fun!

This was the first time I had taken Tyler outside after a good rain. We put all of our gear on and out we went. Looking for that perfect puddle to jump and splash in. Boy, did we find a nice one. He had a blast jumping around in his new rain coat from Uncle Chris and Aunt Nancy. He was just too cute. I know it will not be our last trip outside after the rain looking for muddy mess to get into.

Tyler loves playdough ... I have had to hide the playdough to prevent any melts down moments that might occur because either it is too late and time for bed or time for school. He always seems to spot the playdough at the worst times. He is pretty good at looking around for mommy new hiding spot. We have been at the kitchen table with playdough as early as 5:45 a.m. I just have a hard time saying not to playdough ... who did not have fun playing with that stuff?!

Tyler's little furry friend came home from school one day with a B-I-G owie on his eye ... seriously ... I did not just put a bandaid on there for the fun of it :) I had to figure something out until I could get to the store to find a replacement.

Can you not just hear this little guy ... book peese mommy!! Which means no more pictures lets read a book.
