And truthfully the saying has merit; don't fret over the little things. <i>Especially</i> the little things you have no control over. Why worry and stress over tiny things like rain on your grocery shopping day, or a toddler who splashes in a mud puddle 2 seconds after you dress him.<br /> <br /> I was once a worrier, I worried about little thing, big things, and things that didn't even necessarily have to do with my life. <br /> <br /> And then I had kids (Oh the number of times I've used <i>that</i> statement) and I realized that nothing matters anymore. Well not nothing entirely, but unless it had to do directly with the health, safety, and well being of my precious babes then it really was not a big deal. <br /> <br /> We get muddy and deal with it.<br /> We spill mustard <i>ALL</i> over the carpet and deal with it. <br /> We dump out full containers of baby powder and baby lotion, break mommy's sun glasses (on accident) and eat an almost <i>entirely whole pie</i> while mommy is in the shower.<br /> <br /> And I simply choose not to let it get to me. I mean realistically I live with a 3 year old; these things are gonna happen, no need to get upset and let it ruin my day!<br /> <br /> I love my kids more than anything and messing up is part of life. However that is <i>NOT</i> why I choose to do it! I went in to this pregnaancy thinking baby # 2 is gonna be just like baby # 1... I mean seriously they are babies how different can 2 babies be?? Oh my, it only took about 24 hours for me to answer that question....</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">They can be as different as night and day! And my two boys sure are!</div><div style="text-align: center;">My oldest was the most easy going babe you've ever seen. Didn't need to be messed with or fussed over, was content to sit and watch the world go by. My baby on the other hand must be in <i>someone ANYONE'S </i>arms to be content! It took me about 2 days home alone with the two of them to figure out I needed a&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">change!</div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: center;">&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">And I found the sleepy wrap!<br /> <br /> My O My how we love our Sleepy Wrap! I can tell you that product is named accurately! As soon as I put my little one in it he gets heavy eyes and drifts off to dream land.<br /> <br /> It was pretty simple to use, once you get the hang of tying one long piece of fabric around your waist and shoulders! I have to agree with most others that the tighter you tie the fabric around yourself the more secure the baby is going to feel. I made sure the wrap was tied tight and when I pulled on the straps ( before the baby was inserted ) it had a little bounce back to it.<br /> <br /> I never felt as though my little one was going to fall out of the Sleep Wrap, or that he was in any way not safe and secure. I have to think he felt the same way, every time he gets a little fussy I put him in the wrap and he imminently calms down.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align: center;">Not to mention I can run around like and chase after my crazy little toddler.<br /> <br /> Comfort is also high on my list! My back is always hurting me when I have to lug my little kiddos around. I was looking for something that would be easy on my back. And let me say I found it! I carried my babe for 3 strait days in the Sleepy Wrap on vacation a few weeks ago and didn't have a bit of pain. A major plus in my book!<br /> <br /> The only down side I have experienced is that being one very long piece of fabric, it is difficult to tie in public. It tends to drag on the ground while you are tying it, and for me this was usually a parking lot. We spent the next couple of days sight seeing around San Antonio we went to a cool wax musueme, Which Roo was NOT thrilled with in the least. I think he spend the majority of the time with a blanket over his head. We toured the Alamo did some shopping and took the boat ride/tour down the River Walk! We also drove just outside of town to some awesome Natural Caverns and took a tour of them!<br /><br />We were sad to see everyone go, but glad we got to spend some good quality time with them!! With my first child I knew his age by week down to the <span style="font-style: italic;">day. </span>I could spurt out with no problem "<span style="font-style: italic;">Why thank you we think he is adorable as well, and yes he is 23.4 weeks old today!"<span style="font-style: italic;"> </span></span><span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Ugg</span> I would have to get out the calendar to tell you exactly how many weeks and days this little boy is! BUT I do know that he is 4 months and <span style="font-style: italic;">approximately </span>2 weeks old... (sigh) <span style="font-style: italic;"> <span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></span></span></span>Does this also mean if I am blessed with a #3 that I am going to go through his life knowing only his year and <span style="font-style: italic;"><span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">approximate</span> </span>month? I <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">believe</span> it is a <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">possibility</span>!<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">anyways.....<br /><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"><br /><span style="font-style: italic;"></span></span></span></span>He is 25 inches long 14.5 pounds and I didn't quite catch his head circumference because by this point I was dragging <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Roo</span> out of exam room 3 gently reminding him for the 50<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">th</span> time that we don't just wander off<span style="font-style: italic;"> <span style="font-style: italic;"></span></span>when Mommy's head is turned.<br />He is a little on the small side in weight, head <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">circumference</span> and height are doing great going right along the 50%, but weight is going up the growth curve a little slower. The Doctor isn't worried so neither am I!<br /><br />So after shots, crying, and stickers we headed to the grocery store to get some... <span style="font-style: italic;">baby rice cereal!</span><br /><br />Yep, we got the go ahead to start rice cereal whenever we wanted! And to slowly introduce fruits and veggies after we notice he tolerates the rice cereal!<br />I was <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">originally</span> going to wait until around 5 months to start solids, but I just <span style="font-style: italic;">love</span> and I mean <span style="font-style: italic;">LOVE</span> feeding babies food!!<br /><br />It went well, we got lots of good pic's and some video and he got more of it down the front of him than actually <span style="font-style: italic;">in</span> his mouth! This kid loves all things crafty! Crayons, Paint, stickers, markers you name it we have it!<br /><br />And my how attached to it he is... this darling little piece of paint splattered Terracotta has been his sleeping buddy for the last 2 nights! Always have and most likely always will! Now I have always just frosted my cupcakes with a butter knife, that is until my mom bought me the book Hello Cupcake!<br /><br />Now mind you I haven't tried any of the fancy creations... yet.... but I have to say I found a new handy trick to icing cupcakes, and making them look nice and cute!!<br /><br />I LOVE this book! It gives such great ideas using simple easy to understand instructions! They don't use fancy equipment and explain this so that even the most novice of bakers can create astonishing creations!
