He is not listen to my prayer?!

It is a sunny day, its good for hanging around. Susan bring her little girl to a shopping square. When the car heading towards the car park, the queue is so long!

Susan speak to her girl: "Girl, pray to Jesus, ask Jesus to provide us a parking lot." Little girl is so lovely, and listened to her mother.

She quickly close her eyes, close her hands, and pray in her heart: "Jesus, my father O Lord, I'm so happy that I can come to this shopping square today. But there's too many car and we afraid we cannot getting a place to park our car. O father, please grant us a place to park."

But, unfortunately, they round and round the car park, there's too much crowded.

Little girl asking her mother: "Mom, why we still cannot find a place? Is Jesus not listening to our prayer?" She was doubt.

Susan answer her: "Pray again, keep on praying. Jesus is around us, and in our heart."

Dear friends, prayer need to be trained and fostered. Susan train her little girl at her young age.

How to we getting prayer prosper in our life and make it a daily habit? The first thing is we must attend to church frequently. Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)

Some might say, even Christian will not keeping the good deeds always, not prayer everyday. But, at least, at least, they will pray, they will have the knowing of prayer.

Don't ever give up! If Lord did not answer our prayer immediately, we must not give up too. Jesus want to know, who is persistence until the end. The more we pray, the more confident we have.

So bear in mind: Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knoking, and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

Do we need to plan our own way?

George walking on the street, he was just failed the interview. This is the 16 times of failure for George after he resigned from his 7th job. He started to feel that there might be something gone wrong, but he don't know what is that.

During every previous job, George facing lot of complaint. He don't understand why, because he was pray hard to Lord, and let Jesus help him and guide him.

There was a time, when his superior ask him to complete an essential project. He felt tension and knew that God will guide him, and hence he prayed hard. Despite praying hard, he not really focus and study what is the best way to settle it. He thought that the method to settle the project will shown like the light by God.

Since there's a plan from Lord, do we still need to plan our way? Yes, we do. We need to try our best in order our hard work shall work under God's management.

The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the reply of the tongue. (Proverbs 16:1)

心中的谋算在乎人；舌头的应对由于耶和华。(箴言 16:1)

All mans will think they are doing the right way, but always, it might not. So how do we justify the things we do whether correct or not? We must answer 3 questions for our own-self before implement it.

1. Is the thing we do tally with God's truth?
2. Does it workable in our real life?
3. Is my attitude pleasure God?

All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord. (Proverbs 16:2)

人一切所行的，在自己眼中看为清洁；惟有耶和华衡量人心。(箴言 16:1)

What does it mean for "Roll the whole burden of life upon the Lord"? That is, before we implement a plan or method, we shall put our trust in God's wisdom. Nevertheless, we must endeavour and put all our effort to complete it.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will be succeed. (Proverbs 16:3)

你所做的，要交托耶和华，你所谋算的，就必成立。(箴言 16:3)

Why is this happen to me?

'I really cannot understand why it all happen to me!' Sylvia complaining in her own heart.

Cannot deny that Sylvia is a nice worker in her company. She fulfilled her job criteria, when her colleagues ask for her help, she will not refuse simply if she's able to help. Besides, Sylvia is not a person who talk bad on others.

But of course, when it comes to work, everyone will sounds out when the things cannot be done on time nor upon request. Sylvia could not be excluded as well.

She's not a perfect person, but she is definitely a nice person. But why, there's no real friend among the colleagues and her friends circle?

Let's talk about her colleagues. If there's any gathering, like going for a breakfast, visiting someone, or buying something, they would not think about Sylvia. However when they need help, Sylvia will appear in their mind.

Even her superior is buddy with her colleagues, but always make a distance with her.

What's the message bring for us from the Bible:

Since then, you have raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4)

你们要思念上面的事，不要思念地上的事。(歌罗西书 3:2)

We could not avoid others doing any bad things on us, however, we should not depressed upon the incident and make a revenge. Don't ever think that we are useless or ignore others in the future, but we should think positively and always have the hope on heaven.

The Christmas

The Christmas celebration for last year, 2008 was in my church. Butterworth Baptist Church.

Number of the youngsters was presenting the drama, which is describing a guy, who is not listen to the word of God. However, in some occassion, he realized hope is in God. And nothing can achieve without the strength of God.

Even we are not the expertise in acting, but the most powerful from us is: we are base on the trust and faith upon Jesus Christ.

Anne is a lady who attending a church in a village. She's quite ambitious in the church she is now serving. Almost all of the function she will attend, she is leading a choir, and guiding in the Sunday school.

Everything seems going well, and time's passed easily.

One day, a man call Kim, who she's admire for 2 years called her up. He invited her to a party. Definitely Anne is going to attend.

The party looks grand, and all the events is so interesting. Anne is shocked by the talent for those who is perform on the stage. All of the youngster are dressed up nicely, looks fashionable and sexy. Kim brings Anne to the bar corner, and provide her some beer. Anne never drinks in such an occasion, she is so excited, and accept the beer. They start to chat, and drink more and more. Not even chat and drinking, all the person there are touching, holding each other, and even changing partner in the party!

This is the first party Anne attended. But is not an end. Kim has invite Anne for the second and third. Anne was so excited and like this kind of function more than going to the church.

Now, she is still active in the church. But in her deep heart, she's thinking about the party all the while. She ignore the bible teaching even she's teaching the student. She thinking of the rock music, even she is leading the choir. Her attitude looks so well in church, even she is doing the worst in the party.

Bible tells us clearly:

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)

Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' (Matthew 7:23)

For a true Christian, we must listen to God's words, and live out the life which God's love.

'Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But every one who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.' (Matthew 7:25-27)

In the beginning, God created man. But man disobeyed God.

God told us in Bible (Romans 3:23) "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

"For the wages of sin is death" - Romans 6:23

"Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment." - Hebrews 9:27

Do you know what are men's ways of returning to God?

I tell you the thruth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. - John 5:24

And, what is God's way? Man is separated from God (due to sinned). And Jesus Christ is the way to bring us to eternal life.

That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. - Romans 10:9-10
