The immense silence was broken by Dhoni's splendid and magnificient sixer, and then as if every Indian rejoicly jumped and shouted with joy- "Yeyyy...we did it...we are the winners!!" Thus making it the proudest moment for every Indian, and each fellow citizen was moved by the feelings of natoinalism. This match is not the victory only for the highly dedicated cricketers, but it is dazzling success for all 100 crore Indians, for every heart which beated for victory of India, for every person who believed in India, for every soul which cheered for India and for every sustaining eyes that cried for this moment. It is because of this that today we can stand, facing the world with heads high above, and can say that- "Yes, we are proud to be Indians!"
This match was really a inspiring one. It showed to us what hard- work, consistency, co-ordination, self-believe, determination, patience and calmness can result into. Really guys, if you work hard, no one, no force, no devil can ever stop you from getting there. The only thing you need is to maintain your spirit and never lose heart. This match was a replica of all the above mentioned values. It was really a spell-bounding experience watching this match and this was a drastic win. After 28 years of long wait, Dhoni has given India what it actually deserves, a cup awaited for a long time and now it's back to it's bacon. The whole Indian team has to be credited for this. I would, here, deliberatly like to mention about the coolest captain ever, M.S. Dhoni. He's a man of guts, I must say. The way he directed his team and showcased a amazing confidence is a model to behold. I couldn't see even single line of despair on his face and that's what impressed me the best. He truly proved that if the captain and the foremost leader is confident, then there is nothing that can kibosh the team. He exhibited all the characteristics of a good leader, a good captain and above all a good player. This man changed the history of India forever, he demonstrated once again that Indian is the homeland of world's most ravishing talents. And I still remember his last sixer. The link is here. The Master Blaster of India, Sachin Tendulkar, again corroborated that he's the man not to be trifled with. Playing 6 world cups and still waiting for the victory could not have been a easy task for him. But still, better late than never, he affirmed the fact that he's really the GOD of cricket. He just sways...!!!. And again, how can I forget the sizzling runs scored by Gambhir at a raucous rate! Rocking performance...And there are others who specially need to be credited, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and many others.
After the victory, the sky was full of blazing and splashing colours. It made me feel as if today is second Diwali of the year. And why not, we deserve it. This team has got all things in it- aggresion, love, believe, confidence and above all team work. This showed the world what we Indians are capable of doing. If we show the inhidden fire in us, even the heaven is shaken and the earth is cracked. There's no one in the whole world who can really challenge us. May India continue to go like this at Godspeed and we rock!!!!!

                                                                                                      - VAIBHAV VARUN

Babaji...tussi great ho!!!

*************************************************************************************

Perhaps I questioned earlier- "Is politics so barbarous, sorcerous and herculean that it could perish into a country to demolish it's ataraxis and harmony?" I feel the answer is turning out to be quite obvious........lol

*************************************************************************************

My article starts off like a Classic Hindi Cinema- "Once upon a time in India, there was turmoil of sickness and blasts of severe illness everywhere. People got fed up eating english medicines (perhaps bored!) and there was no option. Similar consequences were follwed by the heroic and legendary entry of the great reliever- BABA RAMDEV. It was a turning point in the film indeed. With his hundreds of twisting yogas, Baba Ramdev was successful in tackling every possible disease that was thought to be incurable. Slowly and slowly, people started believing him, following him. Gradually, he moved on to Ayurvedic medicines rather than limiting himself on Yoga. Crores and crores of people were healed and became the benefactors. But now it seems as if climax is on the peak. Baba is now-a-days becoming a preacher of politics rather than yoga. God knows what will happen next". Is Baba going to stand on for the next elections(means we have one more influencing choice to vote)? Truthfully saying..."Baba aapki mahima aprampar hai...!!!"

Baba Ramdev is one of the most influencing and alluring personalities of India, and not only India he's a International "Rockstar". Owing respect to him, I feel he needs to be creditedfor his considerable work in the field of Yoga and Ayurvedic medicines. In fact, there are lakhs and lakhs of people who have really got a new life just because of him. He's a perfect incarnation of God of Health and is a perfect dietician. He has got perfect taste of what the word 'healthy' really means. He's a impeccable example of what spritual, religious and Yogic life would result. I first saw I him appearing around the year 2005, when I was considerably young to practice all his asanas, yogas, and spritual teachings! I saw him getting renowned and notable day by day. And, why not? He was seen as exigent meliorator for any sort of untune. As the days passed on till date, Baba seems progressing rapidly and scurringly more charming than any other Guru. I never found the crux X-factor of him. But whatever, he sways!!! I have always found westernized Astrologers getting famous and enjoying a lot of money flavour. But it baffles me...a man with just a red gerua and some twisting moves juddering the whole country. Well, it seems that now this fellow is turning out to be most advance poilitical figure in India. Staying up to the yogas was fine enough but now he is supercharged to interpose in country's strategic problems. He's now more seen in Reality shows and news headlines and interviews rather than his own primary places. It is also heard that he gonna form his new political party which would try to bring back all the black money back in India and remove corruption. May he do this. I remember the skit which my classmates performed last week and Ankit performed the role of 'Baba Jham Dev'!!! It was really a noteworthy skit.

Concludingly, I would say that future is in the hand of the destiny but whatever would happen should go on for good. May the blessed Baba take us to the new heights of prosperity and integrity.

                                                                                                                     - VAIBHAV VARUN

Whenever I got to think about Egypt, all that strikes my mind is it's cultural identity, vast spans of sand, pyramids, mummys, the indegeneous music, Nile Valley civilization(perhaps Egypt has 6000 years of recorded past!) but never about the protests that I usually see flashing over my T.V. screen and major occupant of the front page of the newspaper. I have got something to ask- "Is politics so barbarous, sorcerous and herculean that it could perish into a country to demolish it's ataraxis and harmony?" Actually this event has tend to deteriorate my views on politics. I was suggested to write on this topic by Nilay Bhaiya...otherwise the word politics would have really been untouched by my fingers on the keyboard. I would like to unwrap something about Egypt in the next para.
I really spent considerable time on knowing somewhat about Egypt. It is officially known as the Arab Republic of Egyptand is a transcontinental country, and a major power in Africa, the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and the Islamic world. It is famous for its ancient civilization, with famous monuments such as the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx. Its ancient ruins, such as those of Memphis, Thebes, and Karnak and the Valley of the Kings outside Luxor, are a significant focus of archaeological study(well I have got to do nothing with it's archaeological attractions...what matters to me is the appearence of stars in sky in Egypt!!!). Moving on to the climatic factors, most of Egypt's rain falls in the winter months unlike India. However it's a irony that Egypt has been officially named a "Republic" since June 18, 1953, however, it has been under Emergency Law continually since 1967. Since 1981, Egypt has been ruled autocratically by Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, who came to power after the assassination of President Mohammed Anwar El-Sadat. Mubarak was currently serving his fifth term in office (28 years) and is the leader of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP). Prime Minister Ahmed Shafik was sworn in as Prime Minister on January 29, 2011, following the resignation of Ahmed Nazif. On 25 January 2011, widespread protests began against Mubarak's regime. By 29 January it was becoming clear that Mubarak's regime had lost control when a curfew order was ignored, and the army took a semi-neutral stance on enforcing the curfew decree. Some protesters, a very small minority in Cairo, expressed nationalistic views against what they deemed was foreign interference, highlighted by the then held view that the U.S. administration had failed to take sides, as well as linking the regime with Israel. Now that's all I know...wold like to give credits to all my friends and teachers for the valuable information they supported with me.
Terminally, I would like to say a country's prestige lies in it's peace and unity it shows. And all that violates it is it's foe...what else to say...??? I don't have alluring views on politics...
Seeing this on Times Editorial truly amazes me to a great extent, perhaps ridiculously. Or should I say that as the days went on, I feel that 'cricket for cricket's sake' has changed to 'cricket for auction's sake'. Forget those old days where cheering and whistling were the only pleasures of cricket-watching, now you get a "mixed-masala". Now cricket has emerged as a full bag (perhaps a mixed one!!!) of 'mastii', 'mazaa', 'controversy', 'money-matters', 'film-stars'(now this what I have to say that cricket has extended to celebrities rather than players) and how can I forget "the great AUCTION". Actually this what leads to a mind-boggling fan- following of cricket these days. IPL has been rocking the country since its last 3 seasons and we hope to see much more in the 4th season; lots of sixers and hundreds of wickets, scores of boundaries and whatever else you wish. Cricket has its own peculiarities(as we have read it in History), it is the only game which is not time-bounded...indeed. Each and every news channel woes to and telecast about IPL 24 hours and if it's not enough then it's all about talking with cricket fans.
Aha! now I got something interesting to share with you all. IPL's fever soaring high and our exams approaching...what a 'jodi'. Although, cricket doesn't make a larger occupancy in my mind but it really does in others...yeah...now I think I'll really get something "hot" and "fussy" to see around. Students ruffling to see cricket in the vicinity of their exams...quite interesting to see!!! The craze for entertainment(can't even call it cricket) in youths ranges from tattos to whistling their favorite team songs and of course bidding their mere Rs. 10 or Rs.20 money in their pockets. Or seemingly very intangibly quoted by Amul :- "IPL- Indian Players Lottery". And of course, we'll witness sweats and excitement getting crossed over all the winter colds. But still, irrespective of all the above mentioned exciting facts, I miss the old craze of cricket, whose excitement would adhere to our souls and protruded so much to cross all heartbeats just at hit of a bat. Now-a-days, cricket is hugely affected by the money and corruption (now this is what IPL-3 was all about). Players get attracted towards the bundle of notes given to them and then performing well never matters...all it matter is the money given to them. And how can I ever leave the devil of match fixing. Ah!... I don't want to continue with all these filthy matters.

Optimistically, I want to pray God for a honest game this time and not for a pre-decided- "Main Khilari tu anari". All I want to happen is that a Game should be played like a game but not Business avenue and if all this comes true this time then " Cricket dekhna to banta hai BOSS"...:-)

ADVERTISEMENTS- BANE OR BOON?

In this materialistic world, people seem to be more influenced by the modernisation of products through advertisements, even if they are non-aufit. Scrutinizing the fact, I find even the useless products more dominating just because of "AD'S".

Well, starting optimistically, I feel advertisements are of great importance although debating would lead or take us to longer contradictional results. They cause a competition between products of same genre and hence increase their commercial as well as nutritional values as a result of which the companies get more devoted to the betterment of common masses through their diligent products. Ad's also make us aware of new products in the market depriving of which we would still be old-fashioned. For youths, advertisements are like a craze-factor. Each and every dialogue goes intervenous in them. Advetisements are also source for information about new technos and gizmos, colleges and various institutions. They play a important role in making citizens aware of their rights and regulations through various governmental issues and ad's like "Jaago Grahak Jaago" which make us realize what power we can exercise over the shopkeepers and various other post-holders. Also they are good source of income for various T.V. channels and reality shows through which they are able to conduct so well.

On the other hand, there are tens and millions of jests and disadvantages for advertisements too. Let's check them out. Ad fever is so high thet before the exams students may not go for traditional sweets but they'll surely go for Cadbury Dairy Milk, and of course because it's a "Shubh Aarambh". Whether you ought to "Taste the Thunder" or go on to protrude "Youngistan". Or better say that the fever of advertisement is more fluent than swine flu. If I go on to include all the examples, it would be eternity or may be far from that too!!! Advertisements give rise to transient passions in our life as the trend changes within a short period of time. All of us try to become voguish these days although the look may be jokish. These days, the dressing table of not only the women, but also the men is filled with lakhs of taudry things. I feel it's exploiting or crucifying our customs and traditions. There are many papertrails in our day to day life to explain these things.

Well, I have much more to say, but limit stops me over here. Advertisements satisfies the proverb that "All that glitters is not gold"......and rest you all are quite smart to understand.... :-)

                                                                                                            -VAIBHAV VARUN

CHILD LABOUR- THE SHAME FOR CIVILIZATION

Before starting up with my views, I would like to write something very genuinely improvised by a famous personality "Child is the father of man". And why not? After all its the children which take up the entity of future citizens and make up a better world. They play an intangible role in the development of any nation. But all the above stated facts are now-a-days trifled with the very guilty consequences of Child Labour.

Childhood is the period of toys and joys. It is the time not just for mere enjoyment but also for his mental and physical development. It's a period to hang with friends. But it seems as if all the above lines seem true or practically work true only for those who have money. Those who can't afford it are left with nothing in their destinies. It sems as if all the toys are put into hell for them. All the joys are teared like the mere pieces of papers. They have no clothes oh their body for coverage. Little children go on for work sustaining all the severity. Instead of pencils in their hands, they are given utensils to rub. Especially, in a village-dominated country like India, this type of practice is becoming more common day by day. Many a times we get updated by the condition of child labour through electronic media but our senses never react seeing this indesperate condition of future in our country.

Education makes a man dependent, commensurably it increases the broadness of mind, plus it makes a person sociable and moral by nature. A good educated person can govern his life by his own ways. A child who is not literate may earn money for his mere sustainence but he'll never realize his rights. As a result of which he'll be supressed in each and every stage of his life. So, education what we need to give but not the scrubbers. These days b

I feel that for all the happenings, if we all scrutinize carefully, there is no one to claim but we ourselves are responsible. If we wanna change this world into a real heaven, then we'll have to remove this devil of Child Labour..... That's all we can do.... :-(

                                                                                       - VAIBHAV VARUN

What New Year brings to us?

New Year comes with the glittering treasures of joy and enthrallment along with showers of resolutions. 2010 went along taking away thousands of moments of sorrow, enjoyment, some true and bitter experiences and gifting to us new opportunity to endeavor upon what we didn't attempted so far i.e. the year 2011.
The year 2010 made us protrude into many phases of life, whether developmental or degradation. It made India intervened developmental stage both economically and infra structurally. It took us to the heights of appreciation. Whether to talk about the world-class magnificent inauguration of Common Wealth Games or the very motivating Obama's speech on India's status. It gave India a title of emerging superpower. Turning to other side this year saw many changes in educational system too. The replacement of board system with grading system is truly remarkable, although it has its own advantages and disadvantages.
The year 2010 marks the end of the first decade of the century or better called our 'Golden 10 years' because these TEN years saw many developments in each and every aspect of life such as science, technology, economy, health, education, infrastructure, living standard followed by many ups and downs in the world.
All these promotions are very much influenced by the corrupt policies of government. The papertrail was the preparation of Common Wealth Games. Day by Day profit is made commensurable with development. Well I don't have to say much about politics. Keeping pace with developments, there was rise in terrorists powers too. Many naxalites and other groups emerged as a domineering and destructive powers. Well, the only option I have is to forget them all.
Summing it up, If I were to write all the happenings, it would be eternity for me. So..........all I just have to say is "Wishing you and your family a very hearty new year greetings and lucks for 2011".
On this day, 2000 years ago, Jesus was born to Mother Mary and Father Joseph in Manger in Bethehelem. On that day, there was born a personality whose values every person must emaculate.

Christmas brings us joys of the heavens. It brings us enjoyment, piquantness, and much more. It’s so alluring festival. It is a festival not only for mere enjoyment but for lessons of forgiveness and many golden moral values. Here I would like to share some interesting facts about Christmas-

1. 1. 'Klaxon' is a name that does not belong to one of Santa’s reindeer. A klaxon is actually a powerful electric horn. Its name comes from a German word meaning "shriek".

2. 2. In many households, part of the fun of eating Christmas pudding is finding a trinket that predicts your fortune for the coming year. For instance, finding a coin means you will become wealthy. A ring means you will get married; while a button predicts bachelorhood. The idea of hiding something in the pudding comes from the tradition in the Middle Ages of hiding a bean in a cake that was served on Twelfth Night. Whoever found the bean became "king" for the rest of the night.
3. Frumenty was a spiced porridge, enjoyed by both rich and poor. It was a forerunner of modern Christmas puddings. It is linked in legend to the Celtic god Dagda, who stirred a porridge made up of all the good things of the earth.

4. In Greek legend, malicious creatures called Kallikantzaroi sometimes play troublesome pranks at Christmas time. In order to get rid of them, salt or an old shoe is burnt. The pungent burning stench drives off, or at least helps discourage, the Kallikantzaroi. Other techniques include hanging a pig’s jawbone by the door and keeping a large fire so they can’t sneak down the chimney.

5. The poinsettia is a traditional Christmas flower. In Mexico (its original birthplace), the poinsettia is known as the "Flower of the Holy Night".

6. Louis Prang, a Bavarian-born lithographer who came to the USA from Germany in the 19th century, popularized the sending of printed Christmas cards. He invented a way of reproducing color oil paintings, the "chromolithograph technique", and created a card with the message "Merry Christmas" as a way of showing it off.

7. The "Urn of Fate" is part of the Christmas celebrations in many Italian households. The Urn of Fate is brought out on Christmas Eve. It holds a wrapped present for everyone. The mother tries her luck first, then the others in turn. If you get a present with your name on it, you keep it; otherwise, you put it back and try again.

8. In Sweden, a common Christmas decoration is the Julbukk, a small figurine of a goat. It is usually made of straw. Scandinavian Christmas festivities feature a variety of straw decorations in the form of stars, angels, hearts and other shapes, as well as the Julbukk.

9. Father Christmas' reindeers are called Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner/Donder, Blitzen, and Rudolph. Eight of these names are taken from Clement C. Moore's "A Visit From St. Nicholas," and the ninth from the song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (NB. Donder is also known as Donner.)

10. Have you heard of "Animal Crackers"? Are these crackers made by animals? Not really! These are cookies that were imported to the United States from England in the late 1800s. Barnum's circus-like boxes were designed with a string handle so that they could be hung on a Christmas tree.

                                                                 Hope you enjoyed them............................

Now I would like share a true experience with you all. Today on the eve of Christmas, I went to my school, to meet the sisters over there. For the first time in my life I visited a Convent, really it was magnificient!!! And the cake which sisters offered us along with other dishes were awesome. They were greatly prepared and were so tasty that I wish I would have them have them again!!! After offering gifts to them we went to the Church to meet Father. We saw the beauty of Church and was really mesmerised. Father then offered cake that was truly delicious. Sister Prisca told us lot about their lives. We enjoyed a lot.

This was my first year I celebrated Christmas and believe me guys, it’s truly a festival of love, peace harmony, joy and forgiveness.
                                                                                             - VAIBHAV VARUN

EXPRESS YOURSELF

Man is a social mortal. Being a social one, there seems to prevail a tradition amongst us to express ourselves in either way from medievality. If we sum up all the novels, all the poems and all the works of all the great writers, I think we will not only get a bag full of literature but also an assemblagation of expressions they had; their feelings in diffeent ways for enjoyment, enthrillment, peace, love, anxiety and so on….
Perhaps, our senses and their collaboration with mind to recolllect all deep-heartened emotions just with the help of a pen and a paper is quite alluring, captivating and pleasurable to note. According to me, there exists no mind in the world which is a prosaic or mundane one. There exists a world of ingenuity in all of us. The need is to awaken it. Expression is offered as a gift to mankind by God. It’s a way by which we can describe our feelings…..whether ardent or peaceful. When we feel alone and don’t have anyone to hang out with, it’s our expressions or thoughts that help us to get acquainted.
I think it was a piquant intro to my blog. So, how many times have you all got express yourselves? Perhaps, many!!! In this blog I’ll be dealing with many issues and topics and I just wanna say that go ahead and EXPRESS YOURSELVES………!!!!
