There's something about a gumball machine that grabs the attention of children, and if you're like me...even adults! When we're out and about, my kids always ask for a quarter when they see a gumball machine. They get especially excited when visiting their cousins who have a gum ball machine of their very own! That's why I knew they'd be excited to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review the Junior Carousel Gumball Machine from Gumball.com!

Founded in 1993, Gumball.com is the #1 ranked bulk vending depot. They are the original online distributer of all things related to vending machines, including gum balls! Visiting their site for the first time, I was amazed with their large selection of vending machine products including not just gumball machines, but also snack machines, bill changers, etc. They have something for everyone!

We were sent the Junior Carousel Gumball Machine with Gumball Refill Box to review.

When the gumball machine arrived, the kids were instantly drawn to the colorful box and wanted to check it out. I couldn't blame them...so did I!

As I pulled the machine out of the box, I was happy to see that it comes completely assembled. It was also evident that it is fantastic quality. It's made with an all metal base, lid and coin mechanism and comes with a glass globe. It's nice to know that this is made well and is something that will last!

It holds small gum balls, candy or nuts only (gum balls must be smaller than .62 inches in diameter). We put in the gumballs which couldn't have been easier. By simply loosening the top we were able to open it, put them in and then gently tighten it again. I love the look of it with all of the colorful gumballs in it...it's what captures the kids attention every time they see it!

It is such a cute machine. I was happy to see that it wasn't too large. At 12 inches tall, it's really the perfect size for a home. We set it right on our kitchen counter and it has worked out very well. It looks really neat sitting there as well and is always a conversation piece for anyone who is visiting.

Of course, the kids absolutely love it...especially the fact that it takes real money! They each have their piggy banks and at least once a day, they ask me if they can take a coin out and put it in the gumball machine. I like that it accepts all types of coins so they can use any of them that they want. For those who prefer not to use coins, it can also be set to "free spin" as well. We use it as a fun reward after the kids pick up their playroom, eat all of their dinner, etc. What's fun is that they can easily use it themselves. I love that there's a carousel door with an easy lift-top...it helps to keep gumballs off the floor!

It's really been a lot of fun for the whole family, not to mention that the gumballs are really yummy! We've been very happy with the quality and fun design...it's the perfect size for home use. I'd definitely recommend this to other families with children...it's been a hit in our household for sure!

Potty training is a milestone every parents goes through with their children, and it's not always an easy one! That's why it's important to find the right tools that make the process go more smoothly. Thankfully, potty training both Kaelyn and Kaden went very well. They caught on quickly, but I always have wished that there was a more fun way to get them interested in the potty to begin with. That's why I was excited to learn about the new Story Time Potty from Summer Infant!

When the potty arrived, both Kaelyn and Kaden were begging to try it out just from looking at it on the box. The fact that it was so intriguing before I even took it out of the box was definitely a plus. One important things about potty training (besides having the child ready) is that they are excited and want to do it! Based on the reaction from my kids, the colorful and fun design of this frog potty was very appealing.

Pulling it out of the box, I was happy to see that there was little assembly.... especially since I had two very eager kids wanting to test it out! In no time I had the potty put together and ready to use. The interactive story panel slides into place, and the frog eyes and mouth stick on.

One thing that impressed me right away was the quality. This seems to be very sturdy and well made...something that will hold up to a lot of use (which is great for families with more than one child!). I also LOVE the fact the pot is easy to remove. So many potties that I've seen require you to take off the top to get to the dish. This one simply lifts out for easy dumping and cleaning. I love that!! Even Kaden has enjoyed helping out which is nice.

Of course, other than the adorable frog design...the two things that caught my kids' attention right away were the book and interactive story panel. This is one of the most unique features on a potty I've ever seen, not to mention the neatest. What a fantastic idea and a great way to engage children while training. My kids LOVE it!

As they sit on the potty, they grab the story and push the button on the panel which reads the story to them. This would have been a great training tool while training them, and will definitely come in handy once we start training Caysen. There are so many times we've grabbed books while potty training, but having the recorded short story that they can listen to makes it even better!

And, even though both Kaelyn and Kaden are already potty trained, they sure enjoy using the potty more now that they have this fun Story Time Potty to use. Kaden is especially difficult to get to go to the potty when he's playing or busy. There are times he waits too long and has accidents, but not anymore! He loves the Story Time Potty so much that he is sure to stop whatever he's doing to use it. As a boy, we always make sure that whatever potty he's using has a high front so he goes in the potty and not out. Thankfully, this one seems to be high enough for him, as we've had very few instances where he didn't make it in. YAY!

Aside from being a great potty chair, it is also made to grow with your children (recommended for children 18 months - 5 years old). The top and base easily come apart so that the top can be used on an adult potty. This has been especially nice for Kaelyn as she's bigger and prefers the big potty. What's neat is, the book and interactive story panel come with the top so she can still enjoy that neat feature of the potty.

The base then can be used as a step stool, both for getting on the potty as well as at the sink to wash their hands.

Overall I've been thrilled with the Story Time Potty from Summer Infant! It's great quality as well as fun and engaging for the kids. It would definitely be great for potty training and something I would recommend to other parents with little ones.

Brolly Sheets ~ Waterproof Sheet Protector (Review)

Although Kaden has been fully potty trained for just over 6 months now, he still has an accident at night every now and then. We've tried the traditional mattress protectors, but have found that he is not a fan! They are not only uncomfortable, but they also rustle and make noise every time he moves. We've been looking for a better solution, something that would be easy to change and more comfortable for him to sleep on. Thankfully, we've found that and more with the Waterproof Sheet Protector from Brolly Sheets.

The idea for a Brolly Sheet was born, when founder Diane Hurford was night time potty training her daughter, Mia. In need of a way to make night time accidents less of a hassle...not having to completely strip and remake the bed each time....she created a waterproof mattress protector that her children could sleep on. Something that was comfortable and easy to pull of and replace with another in seconds! Available in several fantastic colors, Brolly Sheets are made to match a child's decor and bedding while being a terrific alternative to traditional mattress protectors.

When asked if we'd like to review a Brolly Sheet, it couldn't have been better timing. We were in need of a better solution and were hopeful that this was the answer we'd been looking for! When the Brolly Sheets Waterproof Sheet Protector arrived, I was a little disappointed that there was a mix up with the color I had requested (I got pink instead of blue). However, Even though blue would have matched my son's decor and bedding...the truth is, the pink one works just fine for what we need it for.

Taking it out of the package, I was impressed with the high quality. This 100% quilted cotton comfy top layer is soft and something I had a feeling would be more comfortable to sleep on than the noisy, traditional mattress protector we had before (there's no PVC or vinyl!).

I put the waterproof sheet protector on Kaden's bed and found it was very easy to do. There are wings on each side which I tucked in tight on each side of the mattress to keep it firmly in place. Seeing just how quick and easy it was to do...I could see why this was going to make night time accidents much less of a hassle. No more having to take the time to completely strip the bed and remake it when I can just take off the Brolly Sheet (and some day when I have a spare, just replace it with a clean one)! Washing this easy to clean sheet protector is much easier than washing all of his sheets every time he has an accident.

In the time we've used them, we've found that the Brolly Sheet is super absorbent...the middle layer especially (with a capacity to hold up to half a gallon of liquid when wet)! There's also a waterproof backing layer - a combination that is sure to keep any child's bottom sheet and mattress dry.

Aside from being incredibly easy to put on and take off...it's comfortable for Kaden to sleep on which is most important.

We have been really happy with the Brolly Sheets Waterproof Sheet Protector. Knowing how sensitive little ones' skin can be, I am very careful about the products I use on my kids. I am always on the lookout for the most natural and effective shampoos, lotions, etc...which is why I was thankful when introduced to mahu baby products.

When the products arrived, I was immediately drawn to the sleek design of the bottles. I have a 2 year old son who struggles with eczema and a 6 month old who's skin is obviously very sensitive. In fact, something I learned from the mahu website is that baby's skin is 20%-30% thinner and much more sensitive than adults. That's why it's so important to only use the best of the best when it comes to baby's skin. And, when it's good for baby, that also means it's good for my kids and me too!

Dealing with Kaden's eczema, I have done my best to keep soaps and products with chemicals away from his skin. The mahu Baby Bath, Body Wash & Shampoo is soap and sulphate free. Using it the first time I fell in love with the soft natural lavender scent. It's so yummy! This products has been great for use with all three of my kids and seems to safely, gently and naturally cleanse their skin while also relaxing and soothing them before bed with the lavender scent! Another great part about it, is that a little bit goes along way. It really lathers up and leaves the skin feeling great.

After bath time, we've been using the mahu Baby Body Lotion which is equally as impressive! This lotion has the same lavender scent and I've found it to be light and quickly absorbed into the skin. It seems to moisturize and conditions the skin well...all while helping to ease poor Kaden's itchy and inflamed areas from his eczema. I love it!

Both of these products have been great and much appreciated in our household. I love that they are all natural, recommended and designed by experts (midwives) and so gentle on my kids' skin. I would definitely recommend them to other parents.

As a busy mom of three young children, my days are always busy. As a parent, you can probably relate to having a cluttered, unorganized, and sometimes downright dirty car! It's inevitable with children that there will be spills, crumbs, and toys around the vehicle...especially when traveling! As someone who likes to try to take care of our vehicles, while also keeping things organized and in their place...I was thrilled to learn about two new products from Prince Lionheart.

For those who aren't familiar with Prince Lionheart, they are a family-owned and operated business and have been since 1973. Although times have changed over the years...their commitment to these core beliefs remain the same. I'm a huge fan of Prince Lionheart and their quality products. Having owned several of their products and being very happy with them, I was thrilled to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review two must-have items for summer travel... the Prince Lionheart back seat ORGANIZER and Two-Stage Seatsaver!

We learned the hard way when it came to protecting our seats and upholstery in the car. When Kaelyn and Kaden were young, we simply put their car seats in the vehicle with a towel underneath. Although this helped with the messes, it did not help protect the seat it self. We needed something thicker and more durable to help prevent depression damage. That's why the Two-Stage Seatsaver caught my eye right away when it arrived!

This seat saver is unlike others that I've seen, as it is actually a Two-Stage Seatsaver. Prince Lionheart has created a product with parents in mind who have both rear facing car seats and forward facing car seats!

The bottom tray is used alone with rear facing infant seats and the back attaches to the bottom tray for use with forward facing toddler and booster car seats. What a GREAT idea!! I love that there are two steps to this seatsaver and that it is so easy to put together and take apart.

We are currently using the Two-Stage Seatsaver for Caysen who is still rear facing in an infant carrier. The bottom tray helps to keep his car seat level and in proper position which I appreciate.

Used with forward facing car seats and booster seats, the kick plate helps protect the upholstery from shoe scuffs, dirty, and wear. I love that it is a product that grows with the child and can be used for many years. We have the quality to be top-notch. The high density foam construction is durable and helps to prevent the depression damage I mentioned earlier. It also helps protect the seat from messes and is very easy to clean.

One thing that has been especially nice about this seat saver, is that it has a non-slip bottom which keeps it in place and doesn't slip and slide around. Just one more way that Prince Lionheart has gone above and beyond in creating such a useful, safe and high quality product!

As I said, aside from taking care of our vehicles and keeping them clean, I also like to contain the clutter and keep things as organized as possible. We are going on a vacation next month, and I was trying to figure out how we were going to keep all of the kids stuff - snacks, movies, toys, etc. together and easily accessible (off the floor and seats) when I was introduced to the handy back seat ORGANIZER from Prince Lionheart!

Keeping the family car neat and organized is often a struggle for parents, so when this product arrived on our doorstep, I had a feeling it's just the solution I was looking for! I was right!

Out of the box I could tell the quality is great...very durable and something that will last us a long time! It's also very easy to "install" and get in the vehicle. YAY! As a busy parent I like when things are easy and don't' take much time. Once we had it in the car and got the kids' stuff in it, I was amazed just how functional and organized it really is! Now we have a place for everything... pacifiers, snacks, drinks, dads, toys, and more! Everything has it's own place and is easy to get to. Oh, and it looks great with the interior of our car...I love the black/gray!

Prince Lionheart even though to put two top pockets that zip. Believe it or not, this is one little way that parents can keep their sanity in case of a car seat meltdown (and I'm sure we've all been there!). These pockets are designed for distraction toys (capitalizing on the element of surprise) affording children a moment of intrigue with a new toy they didn't even know had been brought along, all while parents enjoy a moment of silence. How neat is that?! I thought this was genius!!

I am absolutely loving this back seat organizer! It has helped keep our car more clean, less cluttered and best of all... the kids and us are able to easily find what we need because everything is organized in its place! I love it!!

When the 14' JumpSport Elite Trampoline arrived, we were all excited to get it put together and check it out. It arrived in four large boxes, which initially had me wondering how many parts there were, and how difficult it would be to put together.

Thankfully though, there was a user-friendly manual included with step-by-step instructions on how to put it together (with helpful pictures). With two people working on it, it took around 2 hours to put together. This was actually less time than I had expected it to take...and the best part...it really was very simple! In no time the trampoline base was assembled. The part that took the longest was installing the springs and getting the enclosure put up.

We had several little ones excitedly awaiting assembly so they could be the first to test it out!

Putting it together went smoothly, and once I saw it completely assembled...I knew this was going to be our new favorite thing to do outdoors...not just for the kids, but my husband and I as well!

Isn't it a beauty?! I absolutely love the rich dark blue powder coat finish. It blends in nicely with the yard and is very attractive looking.

Before letting the kids get on and start jump, jump, jumping away...I took a moment to check out all of the many features that make this one of the world’s safest backyard trampolines. I was (and still am) very impressed with the quality of this trampoline. So much thought went into making it safe for users of all ages...which is top priority for this company.

I really appreciate having the frame pad which is UV and water resistant. It's a 21-ounce PVC outer covering with full width, 1 inch thick, gym-quality EPE foam core! It's thick and covers the springs and frame completely. I have peace of mind when my kids (as well as my husband and myself) are using it that we are safe from possible injury due to coming in contact with the frame or springs of the trampoline.

I also LOVE the Safety Net enclosure! It was probably the most time-consuming part to assemble, but SOOO worth it and shows just how dedicated JumpSport is to safety! I would not use a trampoline without it. It's secure and ensures that anyone jumping on the trampoline is safe from falling off and getting hurt. The net features an overlapping entry which makes it easy for people enter and leave the trampoline, while still keeping those inside, safe. Even the poles that hold it up are padded!

Of course, once I had checked it over...the kids (and adults) couldn't wait to try it out! Although recommended for ages 6+, this trampoline really is fun for the WHOLE family! The day we put it together, we had lots of family over...and the children and adults all had fun...hours of fun! The 2-step trampoline ladder we were sent made it easier for kids and adults alike to get on and off with ease.

From the day we put up the trampoline, the kids, family and friends have been able to enjoy jumping, flipping, and bouncing for hours on end...and the fun has not ended!

Whenever the weather is nice enough to be outdoors (which has been on and off this spring between rain and tornados!), the kids are always begging to go out and jump away. How can I say no?! It just means I get to go out and jump too! After all, it's not only fun but a great healthy alternative to television and video games, right in our own backyard! The kids and I are able to go out, have fun and be active any time we want to! It's been wonderful!!

Knowing that this trampoline is safe...even when the kids jump into the net or fall on the frame padding...is one of the best things about it! JumpSport has definitely lived up to their reputation of making safety their top priority...it's evident in their high quality, safe products for both children and adults!

I also love having something the whole family can enjoy doing together. And, when we have visitors...it's the center of fun for everyone. Have you ever wished you had another pair of hands so you could get more done in a day? I sure have! As a busy mom of three little ones, I find myself trying to balance playing with the kids, taking care of the house, making meals, etc. The problem is...there is only so much I can do at once. As hard as I try to multi-task, it seems even the smallest things like answering the phone while doing laundry is a challenge. That is, until I learned about the new phone from VTech!

With the newly revamped LS6475-3 Mult-Tasking Headset Phone, mom's no longer need to drop everything each time the phone rings. As a mom who is always looking for ways to make daily tasks easier and my routine run more smoothly, I was thrilled to learn I was going to have the opportunity to review and test out the new phone system from VTech.

When the newly revamped LS6475-3 Multi-Tasking Headset Phone arrived, I couldn't wait to try it out!

As I took it out of the box, I was thrilled with the appearance right away! I love the sleek, modern look. It fits in well with the other decor in our home and I don't mind having it sit out on the counter for people to see. In fact, when people do see it, they comment how nice it is!

Of course, the main reason I was so excited to try it out, was for the multi-tasking ability it could offer me so I hooked it up, and began checking out all of its amazing features! I am on the phone a lot, and had a feeling this was going to be the answer I've been looking for! First of all, the fact that it comes with two cordless headsets is fantastic! We have one on our main level and one on our lower level. It has worked out great! With no cord, I'm able to grab the phone and continue to do things while I talk.

This phone goes beyond your typical cordless phone system. My favorite feature is the that it comes with a comfortable cordless headset (similar to what people use with their cell phones in the car). I have always thought it would be great to have something like this for our home phone, as multi-tasking would be easier when I get a phone call. It has been terrific!

There are multiple headset wearing styles which means the user can customize it to their needs and comfort. The box included 3 different sized over the ear hooks and an over the head band. Also included are four different ear buds to ensure a comfortable fit for all ear sizes. I prefer the ear hooks, and my husband prefers the head band. Either way...it has allowed us to talk on the phone without stopping our work around the house. I can now be playing with the kids, doing the laundry or even cooking supper all while talking on the phone. I LOVE that it helps me juggle it all!

In using the phone, I have been thrilled not only with how versatile it is, but also the high quality sound. There's HD Audio which makes calls rich and life-like. The frequency band has been extended allowing for the signal to be reproduced and tuned for a fuller and clearer sound. This is especially nice when I have a lot of noise in the background (which I have a lot with three little ones :)).

Another feature that has made my life easier as a busy mom, is the Voice Announce Caller ID! I can't tell you how many times I've been busy with the kids, nursing my 6 month old, or doing something else when the phone rings. I often ignore it because I don't want to stop what I'm doing and figure it's probably not important. The problem is, I've missed many important calls by doing this. That's why I love the voice announce caller ID feature! When we have a phone call, it audibly announces the name or number of the caller on all of the handsets and base units. That way I do not have to find the handset to see who is calling and it makes screening calls so much easier (especially with all of the telemarketers we get calling us daily). Now when I am busy and hear the phone ring, it quickly tells me if it's my husband, a family member, or a number I don't know. Another feature I now, couldn't imagine living without!

I wasn't sure how often we would use the Push-To-Talk Intercom, but have found it very useful in the time we've had the phone system! It gives the phones walkie talkie functionality which has been fantastic with having one phone on our main level and one on the lower level. It allows us to instantly communicate within the system without needing to shout through the house.

The digital answering system has also been much appreciated! With 14 minutes of recording time, the answer system answers the calls that I can't. There aren't any tapes or moving parts which I likea s well. It includes a large backlit message counter alerting me of the number of messages waiting.

If you're a busy mom looking to simplify your life and make multi-tasking a bit easier, I would definitely suggest the new LS6475-3 VTech Two Handset Cordless Answering System with Cordless Headset! The features are amazing, and the fact that it can be expanded to a total of 12 cordless handsets and 2 cordless headsets means anyone can enjoy the added freedom to having a private, hands-free conversation anywhere in their home or office!

As a mom, this is now a phone system I could not imagine living without. It has been perfect for my busy days and I know other mom's would appreciate it as well. With Mother's Day just around the corner, I think it would make the perfect gift idea and is a mommy-must have in my opinion!

Little Tikes TikeStix Clubhouse Review & Giveaway

Growing up I remember building forts with my brothers and friends. It's something almost everyone I've ever talked to recalls about their own childhood. There's something exciting and fun about building a fort and pretending to camp out, read, use it as a garage, etc. My kids often grab pillows and blankets and do the same thing...that's why I knew the new product from Little Tikes would be a big hit around our house!!

Since 1970 Little Tikes has been offering families an amazing selection of innovative children's products that encourage them to get up and be active while playing. Offering everything from baby toys and children's furniture to riding toys and workshops...they have created a line of products that parents can trust and turn to time and time again.

Over the years we've owned several Little Tikes products (a brand I grew up with as well). Having always been very impressed with the quality, educational value and overall appeal...I couldn't have been happier to learn about the new Little Tikes Preschool Construction Line, TikeStix!

Having children who enjoy pretend play, constructing and being creative...I knew this would be a toy they'd love and couldn't be happier to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review it!

When the box arrived, I was happy to see what a nice size it is. It is made so we can easily store the pieces in it when not in use which has been terrific!

Opening up the box, we found everything we needed to start building. The Little Tikes TikeStix Clubhouse includes 1 Fabric tarp, 8 Fabric clips and 41 Interlocking colorful pieces.

There were many ideas as to how the TikeStix could be used included in the user-friendly manual, and we decided to start by building a clubhouse per the request of the kids who always like to have a fort build for them to go and read and play.

As we began, I could tell that the pieces fit well together, even for Kaelyn's little hands. It's really great for developing those critical thinking skills and basic mechanical abilities. Recommended for ages 4+, Kaden had a bit more difficulty getting them to click securely together...however that is to be expected at just 2 1/2 years old. He still has a lot of fun constructing with this neat set.

Once we had the pieces together, they held strongly in place (each piece is very durable...exactly what one would expect from Little Tikes!). There's even fabric and clips included to use as the roof to the clubhouse which gives it that extra touch that makes it so much fun for kids!

The kids were thrilled to see it all put together and couldn't wait to get inside and start using their imaginations as to what they were going to use it for. Many times I have found them reading inside (they LOVE cozy reading areas!), and other times I find them pretending they're camping out or using it as a house. The options are absolutely endless!

In fact, The TikeStix Clubhouse Building Set can be used for much more than a fort...children can build an endless number of creations with this innovative construction play set. All the TikeStix playsets are interchangeable for kids to expand their building, so they can create things like airplanes, ships and more!

In the time we've been playing with the TikeStix Clubhouse, we have been thrilled with the endless possibilities it provides to engage our kids in imaginative, creative and fun play! I struggle with dry, cracked skin on my hands and feet many months out of the year. Along with mild eczema, this is something that I've dealt with for several years and am always looking for a something that will give me some relief. That's why I was excited to learn about Toe Juice!

It actually helps to repair the skin more quickly.

As I said, we were sent a few of the Toe Juice products, and I began using it on my dry feet. I have one spot in particular near my ankle that gets very sore and raw. I was hopeful Toe Juice would help...and it has! My skin is noticeably softer and does not seem to feel as dry and raw anymore. It does have a strong smell when putting it on at first, however it quickly goes away. Overall, it seems to be very effective for what I've been using it for, and I'm happy to have it on hand to use with rashes, bug bites, etc. I will definitely be trying it on my eczema flare ups that I get on my arms, as well as my son's eczema flare ups as well!

I have always been fascinated with Science, especially when it's made to be fun. Having taught several different ages, I know kids are the same way! They love science experiments...especially those that involve magnets! There's just something fascinating about them (even for adults!). The latest at-home science kit from The Young Scientists Club explores how magnets work through hands-on experiments. When I learned of the Attracted to Magnificient Magnets Kit, I was very interested in learning more and couldn't wait to review it with Kaelyn.

This science kit is in The Magic School bus line of kits, so not only do kids learn and explore magnets, but they do so with the well-known, kooky Ms. Frizzle! Students are taken on a wild ride learning all about magnets. Through a magnetic scavenger hunt, build a compass activity, making magnetic slime, designing magnetic faces, and more...children are introduced to magnets and shown just how exciting science can be!

When the kit arrived, I was happy to see that everything fit inside a nice sized box. It's a smaller size, so it's easy to store when we're not using it.

Of course, we couldn't wait to check out everything inside! This magnified kit includes a colorful poster with a racing track, game board, and experiment diagrams. Everything is included...right down to the paperclips and straw! This is great for parents who want educational, fun activities on hand to do with their kids...especially with summer nearing!

There was also an easy to follow booklet with each experiment laid out in detail. It made it easy for me to get the supplies ready to go. We followed each step and had a blast learning more about magnets.

One of the first experiments asked kids to explore which metals stick to magnets. Before I could even explain the activity, Kaelyn and Kaden were already busy doing just that. The moment those magnets were in their hands, they were excited to see everything they might stick to in our house. It was a simple, yet fun and educational activity for us all!

She was excited when the magnets would attract to something!

Since receiving the kit we've been able to try out several of the activities, including one that reminded us a lot of a Magna Doodle toy. We took the iron filings included in the kit and with a magnet, moved them around to make hair, beards, etc on the faces on the poster. It was a silly and fun time! :)

Kaelyn and Kaden also enjoyed learning more about which pole of one magnet attracted to the North pole of another magnet.

I have been thrilled with this science kit! It has been super fun and very educational. The kit includes many experiments and provides discussion questions as well! It's not only fun for parents to do with their school-age children (recommended for 5+), but also would be a fantastic addition to any homeschool or classroom!! I could sit and watch my kids play all day if I had the time. It's so neat seeing them use their imaginations, be creative and have fun! I am always looking for high quality, open-ended products that encourage them to play in this way...which is why I love HABA!

As many of you probably know from past posts I've written, we are a huge fan of HABA toys. The quality and open-ended play they provide is top notch, which is why I was excited to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review a couple of their new products.

New in 2012, we were sent the Moover Doll Pram and Salad Bowl in Summer Charm.

Kaden is all about pretend play in the kitchen, which is why the Salad Bowl in Summer Charm caught his eye right away! Not only was it play food (one of his FAVORITES!), but he sees me eating salad almost every day for lunch, so this was something he had seen and could pretend he was doing as well now!

As we pulled the contents out of the box, I was amazed with the quality of both the food and the salad bowl. The salad bowl is shatterproof and made of melamine. It's incredibly durable and something that could easily be used with real food as well - it's that realistic!

Kaden was tickled to have such a real looking bowl (not the typical plastic you usually see with play dishes). He was also very excited to see the yummy veggies. I have come across different felt play food before, and these are definitely steps above the rest. The 5 felt veggies included in this set are once again, of superior quality! They are not something that will tear or fray...they were definitely made to last!

Kaelyn and Kaden both have enjoyed throwing together a delicious salad with green olive slices, salad leaves, mushroom slices and white onion rings and tomato and serving them to their stuffed animals, dolls, friends and family members. It has been a joy to watch!

We were also sent the Moover Doll Pram to review. This arrived packaged nicely in a box. When I learned more about the Moover, I thought of it as being the typical wooden toy that would have many pieces to put together. Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong!

In fact, the Moover Doll Pram is ready to go right out of the box...no assembly required! I was thrilled! As a busy mom, I don't have a lot of time to spend putting things together, so I appreciated the fact that it was already done for me!

Kaelyn loves playing with her dolls and stuffed animals and has always wanted a stroller of some type to stroll them around the house in. She was beyond excited to see this Doll Pram and got her baby in it right away!

I absolutely love the quality! Made of high-quality birch veneer, it's sturdy and something that could easily be passed down from generation to generation! The classic, yet modern design is timeless and it's so adorable with the heart shaped window. I just love the detail that went into making it!

The size is smaller than I had expected which was a nice surprise as well. It's big enough for both Kaelyn and Kaden to push around, yet small enough that it doesn't take a lot of room either. It's perfect! Both kids have enjoyed pushing their dolls around in it...doing the same thing they've seen me do with their baby brother in his stroller. They tuck their babies into the pram so they can sleep and enjoy the stroll. I love watching as they imitate our behavior, which is so essential for a young child to do.

The Rinse Hopper Ultimate Diaper Changer ~ No More Wipes! Review & Giveaway

One of the things all parents with an infant know, is that they need their diapers changed a lot...and when I say a lot, I mean at least 10-15 times a day! There are times my 5 month old will need his diaper changed 3 times in just one hour! That's a lot of diapers, and also a lot of wipes! The problem with many of the wipes we find in stores is that they can easily irritate a babies sensitive skin with wiping that many times each day. I hate the idea of making Caysen's skin uncomfortable and am always on the lookout for a better way to keep him clean without irritating his delicate skin.

Thankfully, two parents have found a way! They have created a new way to go about the daily diaper change using water instead of wipes. The Rinse Hopper gets baby's bottom clean without the chemicals and wiping. When I first learned about this product, I was very interested in learning more and couldn't have been happier to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review it.

When The Rinse Hopper arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality as well as the size. This is durable, easy to keep clean and something that will last us a long time! The size also makes it easy to keep in the tub or near by for when we need it.

One of my first thoughts is that the Rinse Hopper looks a lot like a baby bath, but a little bit smaller. The difference though, is that it has carefully placed drainage holes so all unpleasantries quickly wash down the drain! What a fantastic idea! It could easily be used as a bath tub for your little one as well if you're looking to wash them up quickly.

The Rinse Hopper makes it possible to get little one's bottoms clean, all while using water and no more baby wipes! This is much better for Caysen, great on our wallet, and environmentally friendly as well!

After reading more about the product online, I was excited to give it a try. I found the Rinse Hopper couldn't have been easier to use...in just three easy steps we had Caysen's bottom clean. The first time I put it in the sink (I typically put it in the bathtub, however).

Once I have Caysen's diaper off and have removed as much of the mess as possible, I place him in the Rinse Hopper, raise his shirt and pour or spray warm water on the messy area until clean (I always test the water temp first!). I then simply dry him off with a clean, dry towel and put a new diaper on him. It's really that easy.

We don't have a sink near his changing station so that's the one down side to the Rinse Hopper, however the fact that we're able to get him clean without making him sore and raw with wipes is definitely worth it. I've enjoyed using it and he seems to like it too! :)

Designed for newborns up to 18 months, the Rinse Hopper is definitely a product I'd recommend checking out to parents who would like an alternative to baby wipes and use something more gentle on their little one's bottom.

Build-A-Bear Workshop Review

As many of you know, our family is a big fan of Build-A-Bear Workshop! Years ago, I knew they offered a fun experience for adults and children alike, but it wasn't until we had kids who could enjoy it too, that I saw just how special it truly it is! Build-A-Bear Workshop offers children (and adults) the opportunity to make their own stuffed animal. Whether it's something for yourself, or someone else, it's a great way to make a personal and meaningful gift for a friend.

We have visited Build-A-Bear Workshop several times and the fun of getting to make their very own animals is something that never gets old for Kaelyn and Kaden. Everything from picking out a new furry friend to having a hand in stuffing him/her, bathing them, dressing them and naming them makes it an extra special experience unlike any other.

We live quite a distance from the nearest Build-A-Bear Workshop store though, so this means we aren't able to visit as much as we'd like. Thankfully though, they offer a super cute collection of featured pals right online. I used to think the only way to make a stuffed animal was go into an actual store, but their online selection and super user-friendly site makes it easy to purchase and make adorable gifts with the click of a button! You can even customize them with a song!!

In the month of April, Build-A-Bear has been featuring some adorable animals... here are a few:

We were excited to learn we were going to have the opportunity to review Twinkle Butterfly and Rainbow Hugs Bear!

As always, each new friend arrived in a Build-A-Bear Workshop signature box. This makes getting them in the mail that much more fun and so much like being able to get one right in the store! What child wouldn't love to see one of these land on their doorstep?!

As we pulled each of the animals out of their box, I was impressed with the quality. I have reviewed many Build-A-Bear Workshop animals, but the quality never ceases to amaze me. So much time goes into the details....it's awesome!

Kaelyn was especially thrilled about Twinkle Butterfly. What I love about Build-A-Bear Workshop is that not all of their animals are bears or typical animals. This one is very unique, and the fact that she's purple is what stood out to Kaelyn.

I love that she has sparkle and is so pretty. She even has removeable wings so changing her clothes is easy. It's probably one of the neatest Build-A-Bear Workshop animals I've seen to date.

Kaden is a little boy who loves bright colors, and was all smiles when he caught a glimpse of Rainbow Hugs Bear. This bear is extremely colorful, not to mention so soft and cuddly. He enjoys carrying it around, giving it hugs and sleeping with it.

These are just a couple of the many great options to choose from right on the Build-A-Bear Workshop website. Their collection of cuddly friends is outstanding! And of course, if you live near a Build-A-Bear Workshop, you can always go into the store and make a friend of your choosing. If you've never done this before, I highly recommend it.

Glad Black Bag Art Auction

Glad Black Bag has been encouraging moms to celebrate life's wild moments this month. They understand that life can get wild and messes happen when families are having fun, which is why they want to make cleanups easier than ever and have fun while doing it. The Picker Sisters teamed up with Glad Black Bag and Keep America Beautiful this month to celebrate and cleanup life's wild moments and find great ways to reuse trash. Afterall, "one person's trash is another person's treasure", right?!

I think it's really neat how they've found that things that are created or broken in our biggest celebrations can be repurposed in new ways that honor the memory, but create great style. How creative! Between the Picker Sister's expertise and partnering with celebrated mosaic artist Jason Mecier, Glad Black Bag showed the beauty and benefits of turning trash into treasures. He created four works of art utilizing people's trash which were auctioned on eBay for consumers to bid on from April 16 to April 26 (all proceeds benefited KAB's Great America Cleanup). How about you, have you ever been upset over a broken glass or spill on a chair? Life is full of these moments (especially with little ones). If so, you may want to take the same approach to reusing discarded items and making something beautiful out of them. If you are seeking an eye for design, the Picker Sisters have provided a few tips and tools to help you spot potential items for your house.

1. Items should be beautiful and practical. For instance, using an old trunk as a coffee table. I think this is a fantastic point, and something my parents have done with some of the pieces they got from my grandparents when they passed away. They use an old chest as a bench. By throwing some padded pillows on the top...it's a very attractive and useful piece!

2. Another tip is to mix the old with the new, modern with antique, etc. It brings freshness to your style.

3. Freshen up pieces, don't throw them out. If you have dining room chairs that have endured more spills than you can count (sounds like our household!), think about reupholstering the cushions with a new print or maybe a spill-proof material. After reading this tip a while back, I've been strongly considering this with our kitchen bar stools that have fabric on them!

4. Keep your eyes open and draw inspiration from everywhere (magazines, the Internet, nature, etc).

In celebration of this fun celebration and cleanup of life's wild moments, we were sent a box of Glad Black Bags to review. With the weather getting nicer outside, we have a lot of yard work to do which I thought these bags would be perfect for (not to mention the household cleanup we always have on a daily basis).

Although my husband works from home, he travels around and meets with his customers almost daily throughout the week. He is constantly taking notes during their meetings on things that need to be improved, ways to follow up, etc. Having a paper notebook that is durable and a size that's easy to carry around with him is a must. Finally, there's Kaelyn (my 4 year old) who absolutely loves to write. Mother's Day Gift Idea: The Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Printer ~ Review

As a busy mom of three little ones, I'm always looking for ways to make my day to day tasks easier. I've learned one of the best ways to do this is start by being more organized, and am thankful that Epson is there to help!

For those who visit here often you know we are huge fans of the Epson Brand. I have owned several of their products and have always been very happy with the quality and ease of use. I enjoy browsing their great selection of printers often, and recently was drawn to their LabelWorks Printer LW-400. What better way to become more organized than being able to label things easily?!?

We were sent the Epson LabelWorks LW-400 to review, and I couldn't have been happier! I had a feeling this was the answer I've been looking for.

When the LabelWorks printer arrived I was happy to see that along with the printer were three different tapes to help me in testing it out. There was the 18mm black on silver tape, 12 mm iron-on (fabric) tape, and 18 mm iron-on (fabric) tape.

I was immediately impressed to see that this label printer was not only going to help me stay organized with labeling different things in my kitchen, storage closet, etc...but I could also use it to label my kids' clothes as well!

Of course, once I had checked it all out...I couldn't wait to see how it worked! Thankfully, after reading through the user-friendly instructions provided I got started in no time. The LabelWorks LW-400 can be ready to use in a matter of minutes in just two easy steps. First, I began by installing six AA batteries (which are not included with the printer). I then installed the 18 mm tape black on white tape that was included.

My kitchen is the room in my home that needs to be organized the most. I have been wanting to get my containers of sugar, flower, oatmeal, rice, etc...labeled for a long time so I had fun getting started with the Label Printer from Epson! To begin, I turned on the unit and was immediately impressed with the back-lit screen which makes it easy to see everything. I then browsed through the 300+ different symbols and 75+ different frames. I love that the LabelWorks printer lets me customize each and every label I make. It was neat to see how many symbols and frames there are. Whether you're printing off labels for office items, household items, electrical, or something else...this label printer has it all!

I found the household symbols and a picture of candy. I used that symbol and then found a font and style I liked. Once I had typed in the word candy next to the image, I simply pressed the green print button and it quickly printed out.

I was amazed with the quality of the label. The printing was exceptional and the label it self is something that adheres well to storage containers, files etc.

I also did the same with many other items in our kitchen, as well as my husband's home office and our storage room. My husband's office was in need of some major organization. Thanks to the specialty label print models like cable and wire wrap and tab, we were able to get things organized and label everything he needed to.

I am still working on the storage room, but thanks to the LabelWorks LW-400 it will take no time at all to get everything labeled and easier to organize and find. A job I once would have dreaded is something I look forward to now!! I am also planning on doing the kids' playroom as well which aid in cleanup I think.

Using different tape colors for different applications has also been a lot of fun, and so easy to do! I've used the Metallic silver tape for gift tags and of course, the white iron on for some of my kids' gear. For instance, Kaelyn's vest for church on Wednesday nights was constantly getting mixed up with the other children. Now that I've added her name to it though, we have had no problem at all. Best of all...it was so easy to do!

Overall I've been very impressed with the Epson LabelWorks LW-400 Printer. The quality is fantastic and it is very simple to use. With all of the different features and options, as well as variety of tapes, I am on my way to becoming more organized and staying that way! Whether you're wanting to organize things at home, at work, or even your your garage...this label works printer is perfect for every job. The one thing I appreciate most about the 2-in-1 Recycler is that it keeps recyclables off my counters by giving them a place to live in the kitchen. I no longer have them sitting out until someone has time to take them to the garage, I can simple put them in the bin, hidden and secreasing the clutter in our home.

Another neat feature is that the bottom has a tilt out bin which can hold a standard 8-gallon trash bag. If you like to put your recyclables in a bag, or want to use it for trash...this is a great feature to have. There's even LinerLock bag management so your bag stays put and does not slip. I LOVE it!

I absolutely love that there two compartments in one. We can choose to either use one as our recycle bin and the other for trash...or even better for our household...use both to sort our recyclables (plastic, glass, etc).

Both the top bin and the bottom bin have a convenient handle and can be taken apart. This is great when the bins fill up and they need to be transported to our garage where they are stored until pick-up.

I have found it much easier to carry out our recyclables a couple of times a week, rather than every time we use something. It has made recycling easier and more convenient which is great for any busy household.
