So I've been a bad bad nerd. I totally have been neglecting this blog for like 3 months, but alas it was for all good reason. As you can tell I simply took the hiatus to pursue my dreams of becoming a most powerful Pokemon trainer. That ended horribly when I found out on that Pokemon don't actually exist. *tear*

To be honest, I was swamped on working on my Senior Capstone thesis near the tail end of last semester, to which I am glad to inform you my over 50 page paper is dead and published. YIPPPPEEEE!

Oh, and for your information the Pokemon hat was my Chanukah gift from my nerd brother Adam Del Re (please refer to EPIC FRIENDS POST #1). It's pretty darn EPIC right? Jealous? Oh, and I would like shamelessly promote Adam's EPIC blog at the url of: http://adamdelre.blogspot.com/

Anydoodles, I have been trying to think of a way to restart my blog posting. To start off again with a bang so to speak. After too much "over-thinking" I realized my arch nemesis PROCRASTINATION was winning this battle. So here I am, being productive and punching PROCRASTINATION in the face. HUZZAH!

So what's new? Well I am in my last semester of college! WOOT! I literally have 3 months left of school. CRAAAZY! Then off to follow my nerd dreams with my lunch packed up, and my boots tied tight! Besides for school, I've been working like crazy to save money for my post grad life. Currently I am a Head Resident Assistant, Dishwasher, Restaurant Supervisor, Front Desk Clerk of my school's Dining Hall, Tutor, and full time student. So busy that I haven't read a comic book in over 2 months. *GASP*

With that scary fact aside I do have a couple of cool nerd updates. If you ACTUALLY read my blog you will know of the comic book I am working on with my good friend/artist Nicholas Rocco. Well Nick and I have taken a small break to focus on other things but Nick did have time to draw me a most BADASS interpretation of Scott Pilgrim! Take a look...

The Rath of LEIKAM!

Wowza did I have a wacky weekend that was chalk full of comedic textbook adventure. Just like a Ben Stiller flick; oddly frustrating yet surprisingly enjoyable. Anydoodles, let’s begin with the set up. This weekend I was invited to go to a Residence Life conference on Saturday at SUNY Purchase with my supervisor and two fellow Resident Assistants or RA’. Jen, our supervisor, and Dave and Christian. The trip is a 6.5 hour trek, so the four of packed up and left early Friday morning.

Our adventure begins with our ride down. Actually it was quite pleasurable, and it was even splashed with a little excitement of a viewing of the state border patrol full on frisking drivers at the pit stop (note: my school is near Canada). Other than that, our ride was simply just a ride down. Upon arrival we checked in at a dingy hotel called the La Quinta Inn which also oddly had a 4 star restaurant attached to it. The Mark Charles was its name, and rest assured I will get into the Mark Charles later.

Jen being our supervisor got her own room, and Dave, Christian, and I all got one to share. When entering our room…BAM…giant ass hairball on Dave’s bed. EFFING GROSS! After that tasty discovery, we decided we were too hungry to think about the piece of Danny Devito occupying our room, and so we went to Cheesecake Factory to relieve our empty bellies. That is where we met our server…LEIKAM!

Yes, that is his name folks. Or as we nicknamed him, Abraham LEIKMAN! Mister LEIKAM was the epitome of bad service. Like effing horrible from the get go. He was awkward, inappropriate, and a horrible listener all cast into a Gollum like appearance. I can only illustrate his weird ways via the situations we had to uncomfortably endure. First off he never made any eye contact with any of the men at the table, which left Jen with some truly awkward attention. He also called Jen “Hennifer” which was creeeeeeepy as heck. Next when ordering a bottle of wine, LEIKAM 1.) recommended the most expensive bottle, and 2.) rolled his eyes in the most obvious way when we decided to order against his recommendation. I mean, we are poor college students. When finishing our order I also asked for a soft beverage, and honest LEIKAM exasperated the loudest sigh I ever heard. Who knew Cheesecake Factory served judgment with there service? The tip of the iceberg was when desert time approached. We told LEIKAM we just wanted the check, to which he arrived 5 minutes later with desert menus, completely ignoring what we had clearly stated previously. Once we told him no for the second time, his response was. “Where are you eating…the Cheesecake Factory.” To which Jen quickly retorted with “I’m a Vegan, and Christian is lactose ill-tolerant,” and LEIKAM quickly chuckled a fake laugh of defeat, and just got our bill. Nice try LEIKAM! From now on the rest of my RA Adventure team, and I will forever curse his name out in frustration. Well done sir, you deserved that tip. LEIKAM! *shakes fist in air*

Next is ROIDS. ROIDS was the server/bartender at the Mark Charles restaurant attached to the La Quinta Inn. ROIDS also looked like your stereotypical gweedo, who also appeared to be on…well…steroids. As a fellow hospitalitytarian I started conversing with ROIDS about his place of work, the Mark Charles, but before I go into our conversation let’s begin with a quick digression about the Mark Charles. The Mark Charles was located in the middle of nowhere with only the hotel as its source of business. It had 8 wait staff to a 25-30 top restaurant (which is WAY too MUCH), and it also oddly had the BEST liquor inventory I have ever seen. The question I proposed to ROIDS was do you get good business at the Mark Charles? He responded sternly with “WE GET GREAT BUSINESS.” I then quickly shot back with…”Well it sure is an interesting location.” To which he aggressively retorted “OUR LOCATION SUCKS!” Not gonna lie I was a wee bit scared after he yelled that. Calm down ROID ROGERS , because potentially punching your customers in the face is not very hospitable. When it came down to the bill we all (Dave, Christian, and I) pulled out credit cards to pay. ROIDS again almost ROIDED out. “CREDIT CARDS! THIS IS GOING TO BE ANNOYING TO CLOSE OUT” He took our cards with an angry swipe, and the real kicker was he told us our meal was cheaper than he thought. Exactly 25 cents cheaper. Le sigh. After leaving we told ourselves we will never eat at the Mark Charles again. Just think of what can truly be in the food, because I’m not eating some ROIDED out sautéed chicken breast.

After a long night of craptastic service served with a capital C, we all retired for the night only to wake up at 6:30am for the RA conference. The RD2B or as I would like to put it the R2D2 conference went swimmingly. From 8am-5pm I got a whole days worth of information to gear me towards a potential career path in Residence Life, and even more importantly I got some tidbits on how to also professional apply for a job at Marvel Comics. HUZZAH! At the end of the conference we all kept joking about how we should pretend our car broke down so we can stay an extra day in the city. Well guess what…our car broke down.

This entailed waiting 2 hours for AAA only to arrive just as the car came back to life. The mechanic had no idea what was wrong, to which he suggested we do not drive home that night due on the unknown car ailment. Then I made a phone call to the lovely Ida Rosenberg, who went beyond her motherly powers and got us a most amazing hotel room, in a most amazing hotel. I’m talking about waitering to your hand and foot kinda service. They gave us a great deal, found us a mechanic the following morning, and every staff person acknowledged us with a smile and a greeting. Now that’s hospitality at its finest.

The following day was spent trying to find a mechanic and a rental car. We decided to go to the Avis car rental service. Ironically at Avis we so conveniently stumbled upon even more craptastic service served with a capital C! Jen wanted to rent a car for a week since she would already be coming down next weekend for the Thanksgiving break. The price was at $380 with insurance included, but the teller forgot to check Jen’s age in which she is under 25, and just like that the bill turned into $700. We immediately pulled out of that idea, but the Avis guy nonchalantly said it’s too late…he already printed the contract. Wha…wha…WHAAAAAA! After a minute of pure terror the Avis attendant said “kidding.” Phew. I don’t care you who are mister Avis man, but for all that is holy we did not need another LEIKAM on this trip. To be honest, maybe this whole trip was the wrath of Abe LEIKAM. I mean he was gypsy-ish?

In the end this trip was redonkulous. Not bad, not amazing, but without a doubt interesting. There was definitely a splash more of stuff that happened, but there is to much that I cannot share in this already too long blogpost. With that, I suggest if you ever happen to see me in person just mention the code word “LEIKAM” because then you are officially welcomed for story time. You bring the popcorn.

A Very Dapper Page

HUZZAH! I just got my very first original comic book page, and I couldn't be more honored to have it come from the new original graphic novel by Jim McCann and Janet Lee; "Return of The Dapper Men."

I got a pre-realese of the book at NYCC, and folks I'm decreeing nerd law that you all must go out and buy the book. Mister McCann truly weaves a magical endearing story that is only best matched with the fantastical artwork by Miss Lee. The cool thing about the art, is each page is made on its own separate piece of wood. Using the process of "decoupage" Janet draws the initial pages, and then applies cut outs of the art layer by layer to the plank of wood. The backdrop of the wood adds texture, and flavor to each page. Personally to me this revolutionary approach to comic book art engineering adds an incredible dynamic and originality to the whole story. To sum it all up, I truly feel "Return of the Dapper Men" is already an instant classic, and once officially released it should most definitely find a home on your bookshelf, because the story will for certain find a home in heart.

The Adirondack Park is a publicly protected area in northeast New York. It is the largest park and the largest state-level protected area in the contiguous United States, and the largest National Historic Landmark. The park covers some 6.1 million acre, a land area greater than Vermont, or of Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier, and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks combined, and...I live in it. Oh, and that is where this above picture was taken if you couldn't have guess Dick Tracey.

A Cookbook for the Playboy Gentleman

A cookbook made for the sophisticated gentleman, to woo the eager gentlelady. Yup folks, this is a Playboy cookbook, and not just any cook book...its a gourmet cookbook. I found this badboy in my college library, and its all mine to keep. HUZZAH, gonna get my Playboy cooking freak on! Anydoodles, published in 1972 this book was never EVER checked out of the library, and that pretty much explains how I easily obtained it. When I first saw the book in the library stacks it didn't appear to be a Playboy production, but rest assured it truly is...

HAH! I would like to also acknowledge that....dammmmmm....that is one sexy logo.

Upon skimming the book, I can confirm to you all, that it truly is chalk full of sexual innuendos. You can't get more obvious than this...

When it serves 10 to 12 does that make it an orgy?

How about naturally activating those sexual aphrodisiacs with oyster pancakes...

Oyster Pancakes? Really? Really? How about Oyster Fritters you dumb horny man of a food writer.

Oh, and lets not forget about buttering up that gentlelady with snails cooked in almond butter. Like that sounds good...

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

My nerdites, I won a bet. Probably the most rewarding, nerdtastical, in your face winning bet of my life. A bet that comes once in a nerd lifetime. What did I win you ask? I won *roll snare drum* an entire sketchbook filled with 110 fictional characters of my choosing, drawn by my good friend Victor Fuste. HUZZAH! IN. YOUR. FACE. VICTOR!
I look adorable all animated. Now where can I get free Esurance?

I'm not going to go in to details of how I won the bet due to the fact I love Victor very much as a friend , and plus I don't want to embarrass him. ZING! Oh, and I also don't want Vic to stray from finishing/giving away the book. I know its gonna be very hard for him...he just might cry. DOUBLE ZING!

With that, I will tell you that Victor is one heck of an amazing artist. Actually he is just an overall amazing person. I am very honored, proud, and other non-named mushing feelings to be his friend. I have always said to him and his wife that I plan on being in there lives for a good while, and "that's all I have to say about that."

Now 110 drawings is quite a lot of sketches folks, so I would also like to really give nerd kudos to Victor for beginning such a task, and already completing 60% of the bet. HUZZAH PRODUCTIVITY!

A 10 Year Tic-Tas-Tic Thank-You

10 years. 10 years today I was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. Today is my Tourette Syndrome Anniversary. For you uneducated folks out there Tourette Syndrome by definition is a neurological disorder marked by uncontrollable movements of the head and body, which also includes sounds and words. For example like unnecessary cursing (copralalia) and repeating of one’s words (echolalia), and let’s not forget about OCD. In the end I have the whole darn package, and I am not afraid to admit or talk about it. To be honest if anything I am quite fascinated about the disorder, the brain is one of the most amazing things in the world. I often tell people I use more than 10% of my brain, and that’s why I have Tourette Syndrome. Oh, and lets not forget about how I can move things with my mind or read your thoughts.

Anydoodles, when most people first meet me they would never guess I have this disorder. Let’s just say I hold it all in pretty well. To elaborate, you can never get rid of a tic (spasm), it will only build up and get worse unless I release it at a later point in time. As I have grown up it’s actually been easier to do this, but most importantly it has been easier to understand the importance of being considerate of others. I know it’s uncontrollable, but if anything its manageable, and that’s what brings me to this blog post.

10 years I have had this disorder, and 10 years I have had some of the most amazing people in my life to believe in me, to love me, and to push me where I never thought I would get to. In sense I want to immortally thank you all via this blog. Now it would be virtually impossible to remember to thank everyone (especially all my peeps out there) on this post so I apologize in advanced if I didn’t mention your name specifically…don’t fret you are all loved.
I would like to first start with my family. These past 10 years were hard, real hard for them, and I cannot express how thankful I am for their patience, kindness, sincerity, and yes…tough love. My two brothers were especially good about it. My older brother Lee , as much as we don’t get along, has shown to ALWAYS be that typical “big brother.” Folks no lie, if someone EVER teased me in High School, Lee would be the one already putting on those boxing gloves to go fight the schmuck who caused me the grief. With that, all of Lee’s friends became one huge supportive boy band of older brothers for me, and I thank you Tomer, Jig, and Mike to name a few. Now Josh (my twin) probably had it the worst…we shared a room, and that doesn’t mesh well with two growing teenage boys. Thankfully my twin is half deaf, so it wasn’t that bad (I hope, *GULP*), but in the end my lil bro to me has the biggest patience in the world and I thank you for it broham. Now my parents. Myyyyyyy Parents. Probably the two strongest people I have and will forever ever know. To have seen their child go through so much is probably the most painful thing in the world. Especially the tough love department, that shit is hard for both parent and child. Now, a lot of what they taught has made me, me. Mom. Dad. I am proud to be your greatest accomplishment, and I am proud to be called your son. Oh, and yes I am being incredibly modest…I am purdy darn badass in the accomplishment category.

Going through life there is a point in time where you meet someone who becomes your role model. Who molds you into the person you become in the future. That individual for me was a man named Peter Cherney. Peter was a friend of my mother in college and just out of a random act of kindness, Peter became my my role model. A person who took me under his wing, and sorta adopted me. A man whose patience shows no bounds. I can simply go on forever here folks. In the end Peter taught me to be me, to forget the Tourette, and as time went taught me to love life for what it is. Thank you Peter…for everything.

Now to my friends. Let me first start by saying, I fully acknowledge to you all that I, Zack Rosenberg can get annoying at times, and with that folks, kudos to all of you for understanding that sometimes it was just as hard for me as its for you. GOOD FORM MY PEEPS, GOOD FORM INDEED! With that, thanks for being there when it was hard, when it was funny, when it was painful, when it was interesting, and especially when it was awkward. You ladies and gents are essentially my life…my second family. Thank you.

To wrap up this soppy post, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. To be honest I wouldn’t want to take back these past 10 years at all. It was one heck as long roller coaster, but like I said it made me…me. Lastly to any other newly diagnosed or struggling Touretteians out there. Keep up the good fight, and ALWAYS remember you never alone. There are millions of people out there ready to be there right with you. To laugh, cry, and listen to you. To especially love you for whom you are, so remember that. We have Tourette’s, but Tourette’s doesn’t have us.

P.S. I want to send all my love to all the family’s affected by one of the most tragic events of our nation. It truly affected the whole world, and I give you my greatest gratitude, sincerity, and respect to everyone who shined as a hero, or mourned a loved one. You are stronger than I can EVER imagine. Greatest Birthday Gift...EVER!

I have to say that I have the most fantastic group of family and friends. I am truly so lucky to have such amazing people in my life. Anydoodles, three days ago was actually my birthday, HUZZAH, and with that, it was full of some of the most fantastical/nerdtastical birthday gifts EVER from said family and friends. Which included and are not limited to half of the Toy Story Replica collection, an official S.H.I.E.L.D badge, $23, and a gift that made me scream like a little girl watching the Twilight movie (awesome visual right?). Now who gave me such a wonderful gift you ask? If you were guessing my parents, WRONG TREBEK. Ironically when my parents did see this glorious gift, even they were jealous. Digression aside, the real winner for the top spot of my birthday winner winner chicken dinner gift list goes to my boss from Marvel, C.B. Cebulski. Boy was he sneaky about getting it. Like he truly did his secret Weapon X research to find what I wanted. Working in the Talent Management department, and being the new SVP at Marvel, C.B. pretty much has the power to make any comic book fanboy dream come true, AND HE DID IT FOR MY BIRTHDAY! That in mind, during the summer C.B. and I randomly got into a discussion on our favorite artists, and on my list was Gabriele Dell'Otto. Even looking back now, C.B. even asked who I would like Gabriele to draw. WOW...my mind must have been clouded by some sort of Jedi mind trick. Coooooooool. In the end, with his research done C.B. got the most perfect thing. Please enjoy...

Epic 2010 Summer Recap

First off I am so sorry my nerd peeps, I know, I am the worst OCD blogger ever! 11 days 15 minutes, and 12 seconds since I have updated this blog with a new post, but alas I have just been so busy saving the world, editing comics, crocheting, and working two jobs that I haven't had any spare time to write. Now that the world is saved, that I am no longer at Goodburger home of the Goodburger, and will be wrapping up my Marvel internship tomorrow *tear* I just thought it would be nice to share with you all a recap of the most EPIC summer of my current life. So where to begin?

I guess I will just start with NYC. Growing up in West LA I have always loved the city life, and no city life is like NYC...especially if you don't have a license. Anydoodles, on the few days I had off time, it truly was never a dull moment. Even when I felt one ounce of boredom, just walking around became the most rewarding experience. One prime example was finding random ass farmers market in Lincoln Center and enjoying my favorite lunch of the summer. French bread + Comte Cheese + Blueberry honey + Apple = YUM! Another win was finding those random comic book stores, and meeting my own nerd kind while drooling at stuff I cannot afford. Literally the entire 45th and Lexington Midtown Comics location knows who I am. Hehehe...I be a comic shop "normie." Also upon walking around I found some kick-ass video game stores. Thousands upon thousands of games from when I was a wee lil pup. The end result is me using any spare money I have to purchase games of my past, and realizing I have an unhealthy Megaman obsession. Another amazing aspect of NYC are the people. Three incidents stick out the most to me, and are as follows. 1.) Crazy schizo lady that had a conversation with Adam and I without letting us speak at all, oh and pretty much scaring the shit out of us. 2.) Stinky old lady on subway whose smell still haunts my nasal cavities. Oh, and the bad thing is Chris and I made it a game to see how long unsuspecting subway victims last near Miss Stink-a-Lot. FYI...record was just around 1 minute. 3.) Rocking out to the original Pokemon theme song with two 9 year old boys on the 6 train. Yes, I know...EPIC! Now the most delicious experience of NYC is well...the food. Some of my fave dishes include: Double Cooked Sliced Pork Belly with Chili Leeks, Sweetbreads Satay with Chunk Peanut Sauce, Jellyfish with Scallions and Sesame Oil, German Strawberry Beer from DBGB, Zaitzef Kobe Burger on Portuguese Bun, Sweet Crispy Pork Belly with Mint, and of course a Goodburger cooked rare with the Works, No Tomato add Crispy Onions.

Now onto the beefy summer stuff. My two jobs. As most of you know I was C.B. Cebulski first ever intern at Marvel. Heck he made me his assistant. Talent Management Assistant...I like the ring to that. Anydoodles, before I go on with Marvel, I still needed a paying part time job, and found it at Goodburger. Yes, the home of the Goodburger. The job was any normal food service job, and I truly loved the regulars, and my co-workers, but the most rewarding experiencing is the one celebrity that came in when I was working. This man...
Chef Robert Irvine from Dinner Impossible or Food Network's resident Terminator.

First off, Chef Irvine was uber nice, polite, and reserved. He also ordered a double cheeseburger, fries, and rootbeer. The best part was that upon his departure he pulled me aside, asked my name, how old I was, and told me quote "Well Zack you have fantastic people skills, and will definitely be going places. Keep it up kid." Hands me a $50 dollar bill and leaves. Talk about a rewarding compliment. As for the rest of Goodburger it was simply take orders, serve, make beverages, clean, repeat.

Now onto my MARVELous experience at Marvel Entertainment. *roll snare drum* First things first...I WORK FOR MARVEL COMICS! *faints* I did this last year for the first, but what made this summer so epic all starts with my boss, who couldn't be the most EPIC boss in the world. C.B. Cebulski. Writer, editor, and talent scout for Marvel. You name it, C.B. has done it. Each week I find out something new he worked on that either was a huge apart of my childhood, huge event at Marvel, or him being responsible for the biggest names (Talent) in the bizz. Most importantly was C.B. being promoted to SVP (Senior Vice President) of Creator and Content Development. HUZZAH! It was so big that he was even crowned his new title...
Oooooh shiny.

As C.B's assistant I did numerous super seekrit projects, edited books, moved into an entire new bigger/better office, wrote recaps for "Powers," handled most of the submissions process, and occasionally did a Starbucks run for a Venti Iced Green Tea Lemonade Sweetend light on the ice. For all my efforts I was rewarded with dozens upon dozens of trades, free beverages, and tastings of some of the most interesting Kit-Kat flavors. Like really interesting. Like Mixed Juice, Milk Soda, Double Butter, Maple, Blueberry kind of interesting Kit-Kat flavors. Though one of my most rewarding aspect of the summer was my con experience working for C.B./Marvel at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). I got to do so much cool stuff. From working the panels, giving swag at the booth, helping out with portfolio reviews, getting the artist alley scouting training, and finally meeting the talent and getting some artwork. Adam and I met the fantastical Terry Dodson...
Yes Adam and I got that typical couples sketch. Emma Frost and Scott Summers. I know we truly are nerd brothers.

Nerd digressing, my new favorite SDCC friend was Janet K Lee who is providing the beautiful artwork for Jim McCann's first OGN "The Dapper Men." I cannot emphasize how good this book will be folks. Make sure you buy it, and look for the blogpost on it once it is released in October. Oh, and check this photo of Janet, Me, and A Dapper-Man...
I also got some most bodacious artwork thanks to C.B. from Humberto Ramos, Skottie Young, Reilly Brown, and much more! I love mein job and mein boss

Another high point of SDCC was the "Scott Pilgrim Experience." On the first day of the con Adam and I by nerd fate met the Editor In Chief of UK's "Empire" magazine. Upon talking he provided us with VIP tickets to go see Scott Pilgrim early, and also VIP tickets to go to the exhibition shin-dig thing Universal was throwing for the movie. In the end, I got to see the movie with the cast in front of us (I made friends with Edgar Wright's mom!), meet the cast, make exclusive t-shirts, play the video game, and make a flip book. WOW WHAT AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME. Don't believe me? Check out my primo pass...

Most importantly, with all the EPIC things that happened this summer, I will never forget all the friends I made, my co-interns. You will always be my best buds/buddettes, and I truly love yah all. Adam, Chris, Andrew, Devin, Jackie, Jeff Jenny, Sam, Idette, Nicole, Jon, Toby, Wendy, any other persons I might have missed (sorry), and to everybody at Marvel..THANK YOU FOR THE BEST SUMMER OF MY CURRENT LIFE (awww...memories)!

What's next you ask? Well I have a wedding in Syracuse (Mozel-Tov Bryan and Alice), RA Training, a full school year, graduation, and hopefully my return to Marvel with a full a time job. Maybe someday I just may be the next Editor In Chief. *cue Halluah Anu Anu music*

Mega Man Universe! WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!? Let me first digress, and say I love Mega Man. Let me say it again. I love Mega Man. One more time...I LOVE MEGA MAN! Mega Man is the game that broke my video game virginity, so that in mind folks, the series really holds a special place in my nerd heart. Heck I own all the games, artbooks, and a wee bit of the rare Japanese models made way back in the day. Anydoodles, this very day of July 19th, 2010 Capcom released a new Mega Man teaser. DROOL...

*Mouth drops to the floor* This trailer is effing sick. I am still recovering from the nerd heart attack. This dual layered question must be answered right MEOW! Why can can the blue shell head turn into...

• Ryu from Street Fighter?
• Arthur from Ghosts n' Goblins?
• Then an 8-bit, 2-D version of himself?
• ...and then finally into his bastardized American version from the original Mega Man NES game?

Oh, and what's up with the kid sleeping on the bed? So help me God, if Capcom pulls a "Dallas" and the story of this game was all result of a year long dream I may just Hulk out. In the end Capcom, you got me hooked, like really hooked. Gah I am already getting hot and bothered for this game. Capcom...I WANT TO BE MEGAFIED RIGHT NOW!

So we all know I'm a nerd, and darn proud of it, right? I mean if you are reading this blog and had no inclination, well then, you're an idiot, and I hope you OD on Chemical X. Yes, I just made a Powerpuff Girls reference, what of it? Anydoodles, working for Marvel Comics has a ton of perks. Heck all and everything I get from working at my dream job is rewarding in every way. Even the free labor. Because when your handed a free bountiful box o'comics, free labor just looks like a minor ancestral setback. ZING! Did I just make fun of myself? Why I am I talking in the third person. Weird.

Back to the subject at hand. One such rewarding perk as a Marvel intern is the sheer amount of nerds present at work, and with such a sheer amount of nerds present in a safe nerd environment, you can imagine the sheer amount of nerd rants.

Such rants include...
-Emperor Palpatine and Yoda sharing office spaces
-Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) losing it
....and Beast.

Now if you are wondering, this is the Beast I am talking about, and the Beast you all should know and love.
Isn't he just the cutest furball? Well sorry folks, that is about to change.

As of recent Beast has gone through a secondary mutation. Becoming more cat-like, agile, and stronger while retaining the kick ass keen genius level intellect. I guess you can say he went through puberty for like the third time, and became this...

Meoooow!

To be honest, most nerds I feel were quite content with the change. It brought new questions about other mutants, secondary mutations, and just made Beast a bad-ass ball of blue hair. The character is just so well conceived. People just relate better to a deep/complex character. The sixth smartest man in the Marvel Universe is at the same time fighting his animalistic nature and the urge to join the Broadway show Cats. But then all of sudden comes a new rendition of the blue feline....

Is that a snout? Instead of meow mix, is Beast starting to get a hankering for oats and apple cores?

Ummmm...urm....saddle up?

Scratch that, who would want to mount a blue steed no less ride it into the sunset. Oh, and if your thinking it, STOP! Get your mind out of the gutter...PRE-VERT!

I just wondered if euthanizing laws apply to a beas...*cough*...horse.

What is going on here? WHY DOES BEAST LOOK LIKE AN EFFING HORSE? I mean this is just some oddball artwork hands down. SHEESH. Good friend, nerd brother Adam Del Re (Epic Friends Post #1) and I couldn't stop venting about Beast's apparent Mr. Ed makeover. In the end nerds, I just hope to Gosh someday this does not happen...
