Thank God For Women

2010-11-09T19:57:00.001-08:00

One of God's greatest creations is that of a woman.
She is an awesome example of radiance, magnificence
And stunning beauty.
She is your mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt or friend-
Always manifesting elegance and confidence that only she can convey.

The world would be an empty place of existence
Without the touch of a woman…
Who would mend your first broken heart?
Who would chase your fears away?
The world is a much better place
Because of a woman's true inner being…
One of courage, determination and that of pure grace.

Be thankful for all of the positive women in your life,
For somewhere along the way …
They prayed for you-
Stayed when others left you-
Comforted you-
Held on when no one else believed in you-
Took pride in you-
Never lied to you-
Respected and protected you-
Nurtured and never forsake you-

Who could not love, honor and respect
A person who would give their all to you?
Let us honor all women not just on this day, but every day-
For some woman, somewhere has loved, honored and respected you …

Why not thank Him for one of his greatest creations?
For if it were not in His divine plan and some woman's caring heart-
There would be no you or I,
So, why not thank God for women?

Loving You.......

2010-11-09T19:55:00.003-08:00

Years ago I heard a statement that in order to let others love you the way they are supposed to you must first learn to love yourself. At the time I took this phrase a simply a passing thought. But most recently I have analyzed myself more and more in a search to discover who exactly I am, and what my purpose is here on earth. I think at one point in everyone's life they go through the "what is my purpose" phase. Some people keeping searching all their lives, and some people finally figure things out. Personally it has been a long road toward that self discovery for myself, but praise GOD I am now entering that realm! I am beginning to see myself through GOD's eyes, and the view is simply astonishing! I am learning more and more about myself everyday!! We each need to begin today looking at ourselves and others through GOD's eyes, we each need to begin to think GOD's thoughts, and feel GOD's feelings......if we all could do this, what a wonderful world it would be! Begin today to change the world.....Simply by Loving You!!!!!

Promise Yourself

2010-11-09T19:52:00.001-08:00

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only of the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press onto greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give as much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

You Are……… My Butterfly
You brought colour to my life….
You helped me to select the sweet from the bitter
And savour the moment.
You showed me how to take things lightly
You helped me soar above
My worries.
You helped me spread my wings
And notice the flowers.

You are my butterfly, and I love you.
You showed me it’s true that if
You chase a butterfly, away he flies;
But if you sit still, he brushes your cheek
With his wings and changes the
Monochrome vistas of grey
Into a suffusion of colour.
Never were poppies so crimson
Or daffodils so yellow
As now.

Green apples and honey
Mint and liquorice and ginger, and
Stamens of the honeysuckle
Were never so real.
You are my butterfly.
Diving into the cool water
Feeling the warmth of a puppy
Touching an empty cocoon
Listening to the rain
Seeing the sun set
Hearing the rustle of leaves
Were never so aesthetic and sensual
As they has become since I
Met you.
For you are
My Butterfly.
You are my inspiration, the love of
My Life.
My Butterfly.

If you cannot on the ocean
Sail among the swiftest fleet,
Rocking on the highest billows,
Laughing at the storms you meet;
You can stand among the sailors,
Anchored yet within the bay,
You can lend a hand to help them
As they launch their boats away.

If you are too weak to journey
Up the mountain, steep and high,
You can stand within the valley
While the multitudes go by;
You can chant in happy measure
As they slowly pass along--
Though they may forget the singer,
They will not forget the song.

If you cannot in the harvest
Garner up the richest sheaves,
Many a grain, both ripe and golden,
Oft the careless reaper leaves;
Go and glean among the briars
Growing rank against the wall,
For it may be that their shadow
Hides the heaviest grain of all.

If you cannot in the conflict
Prove yourself a soldier true;
If, where fire and smoke are thickest,
There's no work for you to do;
When the battle field is silent,
You can go with careful tread;
You can bear away the wounded,
You can cover up the dead.

Do not then stand idly waiting
For some greater work to do;
Fortune is a lazy goddess,
She will never come to you;
Go and toil in any vineyard,
Do not fear to do and dare.
If you want a field of labor
You can find it anywhere.

When Things Go Wrong
by Author Unknown

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
