Twins Of Fortune

Little brown eyes,
Skipping tiles,
Weathered shoes,
Lips to the flute,
Tattered clothes,
But heaven's notes,
A telling smile,
Without guile,
Carefree life,
Passes by,

Spoilt child,
Unruly, wild,
Sad brown eyes,
Linking unknown ties,
Beautiful house,
Without home,
A heavy sigh,
But lonely night,
He cries,
Tears not dried,

Two lives,
So apart,
Intertwined,
Broken hearts,
Fate stares,
Destiny tears,
Colour from black,
Music from notes,
Ocean from tears,
Q from U,

But I guess they always knew.

Bleed Love

A distant voice inside cries,
Cries to be rescued.

You take me into your arms,
Your cozy and warm arms.

The Moon

A rainy august day, twenty years ago,

He’d come home, asked for her hand,

Promised her father, that he'd never leave her side.

He hadn’t wanted to go, held her tight,

But his nation needed him, needed him to fight,

He made her promise, to never allow tears in her eyes.

They made the full moon their anniversary,

Every fortnight, at midnight was their time,

A ritual that kept them together, forever tied.

Barefoot, at night, she looked at the sky,

He was guarding a military camp, but he saw it too,

That one moment, distances were gone, she was by his side.

Blanket draped and nursing a coffee, she waited at the porch

For the man she loyally and eternally loved,

Had a picture of him, that she would hold close to her heart,

She’d feel him tickle her, make her laugh so hard,

His voice would whisper to her, as his hands caressed her hair,

He'd kiss her forehead and she'd sleep in the arms of a man who wasn't there.

There was blood on his shoes, bodies by his side,

Sometimes when it became too much, he'd sob quietly into the night,

He wanted to be in her arms, feel her warmth again,

He wanted to escape the hate around him and love her once more,

When he couldn't sleep, when nightmares invaded his dreams,

He’d take out her prized ribbon; he’d sleep imagining that she was near.

The moon still gives them hope, something for the future,

Every fortnight, they look toward the mediator of their love,

Cool white rays of light; they remove the darkness of their night.

Scarlet Grace.

The rain stings your face
as you scream into the night
hands held up, you fall to your knees
break free girl, of these chains so tight.

Death holds you by the throat
pins you down and bullies you
all you need, is scarlet grace
from the tree of Golgotha, to renew.

To save you, he was speared
As thorns bore into his skull torn
he chose to go to hell for you
than remain without you in heaven.

Light pours from his bleeding scars
joy and happiness to fill you now
this is all he ever knew
to save, forgive and love you.

So have hope, keep believing
you are everything to him.

Atop that tree,was a tiny parrot
with wings that were beautifully shown
Humble and happy
she always sang a merry note.

But There he came, armed with a gun
so awestruck by her beauty
pinned her neck and held her tight
and took her home in a cage, so glossy.

Poor parrot!
she tried to soar away
to feel the wind in her face
to be free again

She was fed and nourished
on food and water alone
but her heart still wanted to smell the trees
to catch another worm all alone

Days passed, she kept no count
as her body wasted away
all her former glory was now,
a shadow, dark and silent with nothing to say

He pitied her state,
and let her go
told her to fly away
Dazed, she just didn't know

She'd forgotten to fly
Forgotten to live
Freedom meant nothing now
she walked back into the cage, her last breath to give.

No one will know what you are going through

Life will seem meaningless

But there is hope for you

I see you tears, your broken heart

You cry out for help beneath your silence

Still try to cover it with a smile

Fear not my child; I won’t abandon you to the violence

Your life is precious to me

I’ll look after you as you sleep

I love you my pearl and nothing ever can change that

Listen to my voice, precious, feel this love so deep

Keep hope my sparrow

Not Alone

I can’t take this anymore

I refuse to close my eyes

Don’t want to hide behind a door

Not while this world screams out its fears

It batters me with its pain

The agony it hides, like me

This terrible loneliness

This void in my heart, sucks out my very being

Even then I know

Even in this I see

I am NOT ALONE

There are so many of you out there like me

You see the uncertainty in my eyes

When I talk to you

I fear you will be lost in this storm

And I know it scares you too

Don’t want to lose sight of you

I want to hold you troubled soul, just to console

But what can I do? I’m just as screwed up as you!

Even then I know

Even in this I see

I am NOT ALONE

There are so many of you out there like me

Though I’m supposed to know

The answer to what everyone’s looking for

The knowledge still ain’t real to me

Love Survives

These besieged walls

Cry tears of blood and pain

Lives, like lights, fade

As butterflies get crushed by the rain.

Hungry stomachs run amok

Ostracized by civilization

They consume what they find

Eat dog or child, reach satiation.

Jaunt, weak and orphaned

Zrano staggers along

Fed by hunger, he still runs

On these bloodied streets all alone.

“Zrano!” the old man cries

“I’m hungry and starving my child

Give me some of your flesh

That I may feed myself tonight”.

Zrano replied “No! My old man

I got to run,

Lily, she’s waiting for me now

We have to catch up on a lot of fun”

Zrano went to that place

Where he’d first seen Lily

A faint white bloom, in the swamps of gloom

He’d brought her water, loved her truly.

Unlike his city

Zrano stayed sane

This was his secret

To not let a flower die in vain

Sanity was his survival

Love was his vital tool

Innocently he loved a flower

While the world thought he was a Fool.

A Child's Eye View: Its a Beautiful Life.

The other day I was traveling in a school bus on the way home. Normally I travel by the city's transport buses, but today I just happened to be on a school bus. And I must say it was amazing to see the joy and the innocence that the kids radiated and also the huge amount of noise. So loud yet so completely soothing. 30 different groups of children all talking at the same time, some crying, some screaming, and still some more clutching stomachs in their melodious laughter. It's beautiful to see and its one of the things that Gives Me Hope for humanity's future. No matter what the circumstances, or what difficulties you have, a child's sense of wonder just dissolves the frowns on your face. It’s amazing to know that in such a grim and heartless world, there can be beings from our very own species that can possess the ability to make the most mundane things funny and the most irritating things, a joy.

BirdEye

In today's world it’s very important to maintain your view on everything that goes on around us. It's important to keep it all in your Line-of-Sight. Some might take a Bird's Eye view and think that they're on top of the world. They'll look on from above, semidetached, while simultaneously looking for prey to hunt.


Yet another worm to be squashed

Completely on the opposite pole is the Worm Eye view, taken by crawlers, who love the ground and rather not climb the climb because it looks rather scary.

No Tree Too Tall

Then there are people with the Ant's Eye view. They are people who would ave been worms if not for their sheer determination to survive and their total willingness to do hard work.

But what I'm most impressed by is a child's eye view. There’s nothing that he can't fit into his imagination. A bald man might be an alien or a clown to him. A pile of blocks become an impregnable tower that is soon smashed by his mighty powers. His toothbrush can brush, paint, conduct music, and become a gun or a wand. He counts the number of blue cars on the road and compares them with his tally of red cars. And then proves that blue cars are more popular. He sits on a bike and pretends to ride it while his little sister sits behind him waiting for her school to come. This is the eye of a child, to see things that are not there, to speak with true intentions, to know not and keep asking, to not letting one's feet see rest and most of all to love and trust unconditionally. Of all the creations that god hath made, a child indeed is the greatest. That is why, it is A Beautiful Life.

It’s been three years since that wretched accident

I still curse the day of that incident

It all started as little flame

Which swallowed you without a trace

The ambulances arrived as the fires blazed

And on and on the red lights and sirens blared

Before one glimpse of you I could see

They ripped you away from me

Pulled me back as I ran toward you

As over your head they put a white sheet new

I paused as they closed the doors and drove away

You just couldn’t be dead

I just knew

It just couldn’t be true

The pure agony, I felt it

The raw pain, I dealt with

It ripped my heart away

Filled me with the utmost pain

The tears flowed

Finding no reason to stop

As I remembered the times we shared

It showed me how much you cared

I was the only one who knew my life

The only one who knew how I survived

Even with each passing year of sorrow

My love for you grew on

I guess you knew

I guess you saw that I still loved you

So you came back to me

You came back!!!

Back to life and

Back to my life

Like a ray of light

You swallowed the darkness inside

Now all I can see is you

I don't know if your return is really true

Now you are by my side every time

Don't know if it is a toy of my mind

But I don’t care as long as

You are here

As long as

You are near

You dance beside our bed like you always did

While I lay listening

To the rustle of your clothes

The tinkle of your earrings

And I sleep peacefully today

Knowing totally in a way

Why I Write?

I don't live in a particularly grim world, because I believe that my future is in safe hands. But there are times I just want to give up and just let those walls down for a moment and then cry my heart out to someone. But I just don't see anyone who'll want to hear the outpourings of a grieved soul.

So sometimes I turn to music and I try to lose myself in the beats, in those strums, in the loud guitar riffs that set my heart pumping. I get lost in the world of notes and forgot all of my troubles, till l turn off the music. But as the music switches off, my memories turn on, and send me lower than I was before.

Everything I have tried to set my heart right, has failed me. Love, friendship, laughter, movies, music, even my own poems.

Except God.Once I touched the folds of the divine garment, I was able to let go of the disease that had my heart its home. I was able to stand up again.

This is love. To experience death by an inch, only to be saved by that divine friend who was willing to give up his life for you. This is Love. To know that you're loved and and to know that you're now free of that void in your heart that you carried for so long.
This is Life. To know that you were saved only because your creator who died to save you. This is Life. To know the touch of that savior.

He weeps with me. He smiles at my victories and my joy. Most of all he listens and he knows what I'm going through, Because there is no Thought, no Emotion, No feeling that He doesn't completely know about.

This is why I write. To tell him what I feel. I do this not for his benefit, but for mine. Now I know that he knows!
