Take boys*, add in some camping, a little life experience, a pinch of maturity and stir. Great things bubble forth.

That is the simplicity on the near side of complexity. It is the simplicity on the other side we need to find.

The complexity in the middle is often confusing and overwhelming to parents, leaders and youth alike. There are scads of programs and awards, rules and regulations, hopes and dreams, failures and successes.

A Newbie's Guide to Scouting will cover what a parent, a leader and a Scout need to know to find the simplicity on the other side of complexity.

This website is being developed, but I do hope you'll subscribe and check back often until it launches in a few weeks.

There are a couple of Scouting blogs here and here to keep you busy until then.
