<p>You mistreat your eye when you read under really horrible lighting conditions.  When doing any kind of <a href="http://www.eyeexercises.net" target='_blank'>eye exercises</a>, it should be done in the proper lighting.  When you are younger you need to develop good routines and stick with them when you get older.</p>
<p>A lot of individuals will examine text when they are exhausted.  These are not good habits to get into.  If you are exhausted, you wouldn&rsquo;t make an attempt to go on an all out workout, so why do this with your eyes.  Your eyes respond quickly to eye exercises.  When you are in a comfortable position you can read for longer periods of time.</p>
<p>Let&rsquo;s examine how you are sitting when you read.  You should sit up straight with your head in an upright position. <p>When people read they have to learn how to read correctly with the right lighting.  If a person reads rapidly, this harms the eyes.  Reading fast doesn&rsquo;t give the eyes the right amount of time to adjust to the material.  When you read rapidly, this can damage the eyes.  When you read at a slow pace this gives the eyes a chance to relax and focus on the material naturally.  Someone had bad eyesight for 40 years and it cleared up just because they started reading slower.  So eyes&rsquo; reading too fast is not good.</p>
