Snowy Day

FINALLY we had lots of snow! It has been snowing all day and I'm really in a winter wonderland mood. We have been outside having really fun taking these photos, but now I'm ready for the sofa and a big warm cup of my favorite tea!!! And maybe some of these goodies :)

Today I felt very creative! I was cleaning my boy's room and got tired of all the tiny things everywhere.

And then this amazing idea came to my mind. My boy LOVED it and I must say I'm a little proud myself :)

Winter Birthday Party

Yesterday we had a birthday party celebration for my daughter with a winter theme. I must say we picked the right theme because it snowed all yesterday!! We had snowflakes both inside and outside ♥

Sweet Anna from Around My Table helped me with the invitations, place cards and the cup cake signs. If you want special designed help with your birthday party she's the one! Thank you again, Anna ♥

It is so wonderful that a new year has begun. I am really excited about 2012. I have decided to learn something new and do things I've never done before. I just can't wait! I love to challenge my thoughts and my head...!

Gingerbread Cookies Decorated

Finally we got the ginger bread cookies decorated. Of course, my kids did most of the work. I almost feel bad to eat those little artworks! Tonight I guess we'll try to make some homemade caramels.

First Snow

Hiiii everyone!!! I sure have missed you and I'm SO glad to be back! I have made lots of photo presents including photo books, photo calendars, christmas cards and other photo gifts. Now I just have to buy some other kind of presents also, but I'm on track now.

And we just got our first snow :) It was so beautiful yesterday morning so I brought my camera outside and tried to catch the loveliness. Do you have snow? Snow or not, I want to wish you a BEAUTIFUL weekend and hope you have some time to enjoy the magic! And a big welcome to my new followers :)

Healthy Goodies and a little Blog Break :)

Sometimes I want to reduce the sugar intake and I constantly have my eyes open for healthy recipes on goodies that can replace the ones filled with unhealthy fats and sugar. This recipe is so good and is everything you need if you WAAANT chocolate and it only contains healthy ingredients.

4 tbsp cocoa powder

1/2 cup flaked coconut/ 1 dl kokosmasse

1 1/4 cup cashewnuts/ 3 dl

2 tbsp pine nuts

1 1/4 cup dates (remove stones)/3 dl dadler

1-2 tbsp agave nectar (not necessary, can use honey also)

1-4 tbsp of orangejuice or applejuice

Make flower of the nuts in a GOOD blender or a coffee grinder.

Add pine nuts, dates, cocoa powder and flaked coconut and mix it in the food processor or blender.

Add agave nectar, apple or orange juice a little at a time. Do not take too much juice. Just what you need to mix it all together.

Make cute balls and enjoy the good conscience you get while eating these...:)

London Restaurant Recommendation

Babbo Italian Restaurant is located in the heart of Mayfair (39 Albemarle street). We came there a Thursday evening and were met by an intimate and wonderful atmosphere. It definitely was popular in the area because the restaurant did not have one free table. So it is important to book a table in advance. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff treated us so well. We had a great night and we would love to come back.

It's Friday everyone and I'm so ready for it. I guess you are also. It sure has been a busy week so I haven't got around to visit you very much. I hope you have the most lovely weekend and I'm so grateful for all of you that are following me. A big welcome to my newest followers also :) :)

A glimpse of Mayfair, London

Mayfair is such a great area and I wanted to catch the wonderful atmosphere. These photos were taken on our walk around Mayfair after the afternoon tea.

Below: This is the most charming hair dresser window I've ever looked into...

Mayfair is the most exlusive area of London and expensive restaurants and glamorous shops are side by side along the charming roads. I've never lived in this area before and it was quite an adventure. I have travelled a lot, but I have never met such polite people anywhere (except Scotland). It makes London one of my favourite cities to visit.

The most heavenly brownies

Are you ready for the best brownies ever and the simplest and fastest recipe you ever could find? In 5 minutes you are ready to put it in the oven and it tastes sooooo good. The best brownies I've ever had!!! Even my husband liked them and he is not into brownies or chocolate cakes at all :)

Hope you all had a beautiful weekend! I was baking these brownies, of course, and also made another chicken and nudles meal from Jamie Oliver. I was so proud of myself creating a meal that left me (and my family) in heaven!!!!

Beautiful London

Last time I visited London we went to the Tower of London. We went early in the morning and were the first family to enter. It was so quiet there and such a great atmosphere. It was the highlight of the trip actually. The pictures of beautiful Tower Bridge are taken from inside Tower of London.

And now...I hope you have another fabulous autumn weekend and treat yourself very good!!! (drink at least one cappuccino or a wonderful cup of tea and smile..)

Exactly one year ago I was in breathtaking Tuscany. I will always remeber that as a very special trip, because I took my first photos with my new camera. It was the beginning of a passion I didn't know was in me. I thought I knew myself pretty well, but life has little surprises along the way. And that is just WONDERFUL!

Pompeii and vulcano Vesuvius

Did you know that Vesuvius is the only active vulcano in Europe (besides a few on islands) and the most dangerous? In 79 AD it buried all of Pompeii in ashes. Today there are thousands of people living closer than Pompeii. Scary, isn't it? It was strange to be there and look at all the cities located so close to this big vulcano. But, it was also very interesting to visit this place in Italy and learn about the history.
