While I was commenting a post, I have noticed that my avatar was so boring, so I decided to make it more interesting. Then I remembered a close friend of mine having this cool look-alike cartoon avatar that he has. He told me once about that website of this cool avatar generator but I could not recall what was it. So I decided to look for it in Google.

Changing from keyword to another, I still could not find that website I was looking. However, I came across to this interesting website, BeFunky. Though it was not what I really wanted, I was curious enough to try the website because it claims to make photos funky.

There are a lot of options you can find in their user-friendly application and I was amazed that they have developed such wonderful application in Flash. However, I was not impressed by the result, though it had made a wonderful result to my photo, since I could make similar result if I'll be using Gimp or Photoshop.

Citi pays $18M for questioned credit card practice

Citigroup Inc. will pay nearly $18 million in refunds and settlement charges for taking $14 million from customers' credit card accounts, California's attorney general said Tuesday.

Citigroup will make refunds to the 53,000 customers affected, and pay $3.5 million in damages and civil penalties to the state of California, which had been investigating the questionable practices for three years, the attorney general said.

The bank will also pay 10 percent interest to California customers, who accounted for $1.6 million of the money "swept" out of accounts and into a Citi fund between 1992 and 2003.

This afternoon, something reflective event had come into my mind. Something that I need to inscribed.
As i rode the jeepney heading home, i saw this man who really looked so piteous. He was just looking straight at one side of the jeep. He's maybe 30 or 40 years old. He was tan in complexion. And what made me pity about was that his body is like bending forward. I could see it through his shirt. I felt like I'm grateful for not being like that, but I realized he's more grateful than I. He must have accept himself of what he is and what he was, and then his life must be satisfying already with what he have, and what is now. but what about me?, what about us? Have we accepted ourselves?
I slightly bent my head just enough to see other's shoes, and did i find? I saw this dirty white shoe of this guy's right foot before me. There was something written there, i could'nt understand the other words, except the word nirvana. I then thought, what is nirvana again? I know the meaning, but i couldn't recall. Then I searched for its meaning. It says, nirvana is an ideal condition of rest, harmony, stability, or joy. In Buddhism, it is the perfect or beatific state, characterized by the extinction of desires and passions, and the transcending of the separate existence of the self.
Then what could this word do with me?
I then turn my face to the pitiable man. Did he achieve harmony, stability, or joy? I think he did, and he still is, in fact he smiled a very happy smile. His simplicity and meekness showed that he was in harmony, and in joy because he needed not to stay for hours just to fix hair, like others are doing.He does'nt have to bother himself what to wear, or how to wear, not like people nowadays who are never satisfied of what they get, or what they look like. they spend too much time in luxurious things, things that they need not, but others do. To achieve this infinite bliss, we just need to be satisfied. All we to do is to enjoy what we get.

What have i learned today?

I got late this morning because i expected no traffic would jam my way, but oh! there was. Plus I left home not that early, and not that late, as a result, I was damn late. Well anyway, i can take it as an opportunity, or maybe a luck, because when i came in our classroom, F300, they were already rearranging seats, so that means i will sit at the back, alone. Then, i thought everything would be fixed, but our teacher asked if we have some complains and et cetera, etc. i raised my hand, cleared my voice, ehem, then said, "excuse me ma'am, but it's really hot here."(it's not actually like that though, like what i said, of course i said it in a vernacular manner.) So, i moved my chair a little closer behind the walls, and that made my position at the center, and a position beside a not-so-close friend. She smiled at me, I smiled at her, then that was it. Again, I transferred at the back of my friend-like or FC friend. She giggled and i smiled back. The class went to its normal flow, then dismissed. I said Bye to this FC friend, she "byed" too.
You know what, i just love these people who forced me to smile at them because they made me feel that I'm not a stranger anymore, but i am their classmate, and more than that their friend. I never felt so glad within these days in my new school, every time i enter rooms for my class, i felt like i was someone, someone not me. But just this morning, i am who i am. it occurred to me how sad is it to be in crowd but still alone.
