I really love them, but their quality is crap. And crap is still a very kind word to describe them. Sequins came falling off from the first second I put them on and by now they even have several holes. And it’s not like I’ve been doing anything particularly straining. Unless the target audience the guys at Zara had in mind when they made these pants was someone merely standing around all day. And I guess even then the sequins would fall off.
Nonetheless, I was compared to a mermaid, which I thought was pretty cute! ♥

There are lots and lots of amazing dresses online now and I was very tempted to order again. I have wanted to show you this new addition to my wardrobe for quite some time now and this turned out to be a great opportunity. Never before have I owned a maxi dress, but something about this black one intrigued me when I stumbled upon it on Tobi. I haven’t heard about their online shop before and have to admit the only reason I clicked on their banner ad was the fact that they offer 50% off your first order. Their clothes are already very affordable at full price, and even though not everything they offer is exactly my style, the discount was a welcome opportunity to try something new. Turns out I really like this new dress, its side cutouts, twisted parts, open back and the fact that it’s so light and airy, yet heavy enough to fall nicely and not make it feel like something I would wear on the beach. Guess I’ll be checking back to Tobi’s online shop from time to time and see if I can find more gems like this one! ☀

I am absolutely in love with my new doorknocker earrings by ASOS, aren’t the birds on them just lovely? (If only they weren’t clip-on earrings. Who had the idea of adding clips to heavy earrings? It just doesn’t work!) I couldn’t resist wearing bright pink lipstick and even painted my nails in a rosy shade (with confetti topcoat ♥), but managed to avoid a cuteness explosion by choosing my all-time favourite chained clutch that I bought last spring and still absolutely adore. I love the pale lavender colour and wide v-neck of this nowistyle cardigan so much that I chose to keep it buttoned up and wear it as a blouse. To add fierceness and balance its volume, I paired it with a tight black pencil skirt and decided to keep the accessories minimal. I added my Classic Specs glasses I got at the brand’s Brooklyn showroom this February and painted my lips a bright red to pull the whole look together. Voilà, a feminine and sexy yet very wearable and easy outfit that the team at nowistyle liked so much they used our pictures for the product page. ♥

If there’s one thing I can never have enough of, it’s sunglasses. Here are the most beautiful versions I found this spring for you and everyone who – just like me – is always on the lookout for a new pair of pretty shades.

Corner embellishments are very big this year and as I’m pretty sure you have noticed at first sight, I also have a huge thing for cateye glasses, with the Tom Ford Nastasya in rose gold definitely being at the top of my wishlist this season. I have also included my all-time favourite pair of oversized black cateyes by Dior - they’re literally the perfect size and shape to go with everything! ♥

This dress. I fell instantly in love and bought it only to find out there was literally no occasion where it would be appropriate (this might be the reason it was on sale at that time and still available in my size).

Really, I have tried several times and have always felt either underdressed or overdressed. The only time it kind of worked well was at a fashion show in New York. Great, but how many times am I going to want to wear the same dress to a fashion show? And I guess taking pictures for the blog on a Sunday afternoon, as much fun as it is, doesn’t really count as an occasion. Still, none of these things could ever derogate my love for this dress. I love the raw unfinished edges, velvet ribbon detailing and layers of pleated chiffon.

Culottes! ♥

I didn’t know how much I missed them in my life until  nowistyle sent this gorgeous pair for me to style.

Given that it was my day off I chose to go all casual/girly and pair them with a flowy vintage chiffon blouse and my favourite silver McQ flats. The pink clutch I’m carrying was a present for my 19th birthday, making it almost six years old and one of the oldest staple pieces in my wardrobe, together with these shorts (which are by far the oldest, dating back to 2004) and this coat (from 2005, I think). The shorts will fall apart pretty soon, but I like the idea of keeping the coat and clutch in my life and wardrobe forever, always reminding me of all the adventures I went on with them over the years.
Now I want to know about you, lovelies! Which are your most treasured pieces that you’ve kept in your wardrobe for years and what makes them special to you?

Their summers are so cold compared to those I am used to and I don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t finally considered getting a lighter coat. In the end, I got three of them (I am not someone who wants to wear the same coat everyday, see). I made sure I chose the prettiest I could find, so since then there hasn’t been a single season I haven’t worn them. The block stripe pattern of this black and white coat makes it turn heads everytime I wear it and even though I don’t find it especially unusual, if you’re attention seeking, this one is for you. The monochrome stripes are a great starting point for mixing patterns or just – which is one of my favourite things ever to do – adding a pop of colour with a pair of bright shoes or a sophisticated handbag. And they also work exceptionally well with patterned scarves. And I believe I really should try this coat with that skirt some time. What do you think? ♡
