Mini Treat Box...

Happy October everyone! I can't believe I am posting after all this time...lol! I wanted to share this easy mini treat box with your envelope punch board. Once you know what to do...You will make plenty like I did. I am thrilled because I am already done with all my boxes to give to co-workers, my soccer gang and my mom's friends. I made 60 of these! So let's get started!

Here is a picture of what the envelope punch board looks like. It can make all different size envelopes, but I love it because it can make boxes and bags too! This is a wonderful tool to have!

This is where you start. You will get a your DP of any kind. I chose the new doodle bug Halloween paper called Ghouls and Goodies. It's double sided. This is a 6" x 6" paper. What is good about this is that if you by a 12" x 12" paper you can make 4 of these with one sheet! No wasting of any kind!

As you can see it's already scored and punched where it should be. The good thing about it is, if you play around with the dimensions, you can get bigger boxes or smaller ones. So here we go. You start on one side...punch and then score. If you look back at the score board you will see that there is one line that you can score with...that's what you will be using.

Two sides will be the same...

Here are the dimensions: punch 1 3/8" then score; punch 4" then score

Turn your paper and then punch 2" then score; punch 4 5/8" score.

You can measure up the score lines to notch on the score board and just eyeball it and punch, but I am a person who rather follow the measurements, so this is what it came out to be.

Once you are done...you will cut the score lines. Please make sure it's the bigger side. If not your box will not shape the way you wanted it to. I tried to take a picture so you can see where I cut. I am a visual person and this makes it easier.

Then you will flip your paper over and paste/tape down your little flaps.

Now you can see the flaps forming to make your box...

Don't forget that the bigger flaps you need to punch out your handles. I used the 3/4" circle punch, but you can use anything you like. I put them together and punched them out at one time. You can make a template if you want to measure and punch out one at a time if you prefer. I just did it the faster way.

Here is what it looks like once you put it together...

This is the top view. If you can see I decided to tape the flaps on the outside. This way it gives it a look of a bag in a box. I only used little glue dots at the corners of each flap and then sealed them down. Once you make it you will understand.

You can decorate to your liking with ribbon, a tag or whatever you choose.

Fill with candy or goodies and you are done!

...TOP NOTE BOX...

Halloween is right around the corner and I wanted to make something for the lady co-workers. I didn't have to make for my soccer team mates, my daughter's soccer team or my mom's friends this year. Thank goodness...cause I am so late!! I wanted to make a box using my top note die. I just made up my own box measurements...5 1/2" x 8" cardstock. Then score at: 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 7". The other way you score 1" on both sides. cut the flaps to create the box...that's it. Here is what it looks like once assembled...

This is what I came up with...just used two top note dies for the top and the bottom of my box. Then I used my circle and scallop circle spellbinders for my cut out and I used my Hallobean from TGF. I colored her up and DONE!!

I did add ribbon to hold the box shut. I created twelve of these. I may make more now. Haha...it's always easier once you know what you want to do.

...SHINE LIKE A STAR...

I made this a while back for a dear sweet friend that celebrated her birthday in March. I wanted to make a special/unique card just for her.

Of course I had to add some coloring to it...so I stamped an image from TGF and added this cute bean to the back of the card.

...IT'S TIME TO CELEBRATE...

Happy 1st Birthday to Shanel...one of my dear friend's daughter. They are throwing her a birthday party, but we can't attend. But I wanted to send her something. So I decided to make a shaker card with her gift. This is how it turned out...

I used lots of micro beads, added flowers, ribbon, a heart charm, bling and used that ever so cute Flutter Anya from TGF. She is adorable. Colored her with my copics and splashed her with some sparkle spray and put it together and I am done. Hope her mom and dad like it :)

Double sided zig zag card...

...HAPPY CHEEKY BIRTHDAY...

I wanted to make a unique card and wish a Happy Birthday to a dear friend! I went searching the internet and found a double sided zigzag card. I figured out how to decorate it too. I decided to use the new "Cheeky Lessons" from TGF. I colored her with my copics and used some stickles. I made my belly band with a punch. This is what it looks like when it's closed...

TGF Composition books...

...SCHOOL IS BACK...

It's that time again...my daughter is going back to school. She will be starting the 8th grade soon and she wanted me to decorate her composition books. I said okay. Then what does she pick? The greeting farm...but the set with 3 girls! I told her that is so much coloring and I am not so good at that. Well I gave it a whirl. Here are the 4 books I made.

I downloaded the different friendship sayings and then printed them out.

Owl Match Boxes...

...OWL you giving a HOOT...

It's almost time for my family reunion again in Vegas and so I wanted to make something cute! I made match boxes with these cute owls to top them off. I used really pretty DP but you can't see it as the owl covers the enter top of the box! I made a total of 26...3 are for friends here.

I found these paper soaps at Pier 1 Imports here in Hawaii!

They come in different smells and I thought this would be a unique gift.

Just in case you get stuck somewhere with only running water...lol!

Oh my goodness...it's been like forever since I posted.

Here comes the bride...

...CONGRATULATIONS...

Happy Hump Day Everyone! Did you survive the elections? Thank goodness it's over. Any whoo...I wanted to share with you a card I made. I will be going to one of my BFFs wedding this Saturday and I really wanted to make her a special card. Her colors are magenta and charcoal gray. I loved the colors she picked, but it was hard for me to figure out what to do. I went to "google" some others cards and then came up with my own. I decided to use TGF image...really cute. Then I went to town...with layers, embossing, bling, sparkle, flowers and I even used tulle. Put it together and voila! my card is complete. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

I even decorated the inside...a little any way.

"May today be the beginning of a love that lasts forever"

I hope she likes her card. I am so excited for her.

I hope this unity will last forever and that the guy she chose is "the one".

...FRIENDSHIP...

How is everyone's week going? Happy Friday! I finally get a chance to share another card with you. I wanted to say thank you to a dear special friend who I met through this crafting/blogging world and is now part of my crafting sisters! She stopped by and shared a few goodies with my daughter and I and I can't thank her and her hubby enough! We are truly blessed! So I decided I better make a card. I used this cute bean called "bright". She was too sweet to pass up! I used some pretty flowers and added some shimmer to finish it off.

I miss all of you. I wish I had time, but at my new job I can't look at the internet at all. so when I get a chance...I will post again and hopefully stop by your blogs.

...HAPPY HALLOWEEN...

It's almost that time for the trick or treat!

I wanted to share with you what I made this year for my fellow soccer players and my mom's friends. My co-worker had received a box like this from her friend and when I saw it, I said...I can make this! So of course I tried it out and mass produced this box about 40+ times. Here's a picture of most of them. Can you figure out what I used to make these?

Here is a picture of three up close...I used orange, purple and green for my boxes.

This is a single box...I used an image from Mindy Terasawa. I bought some cute Halloween paper from Ben Franklin, but then I had to cut it up into thin strips. It kinda defeated the purpose, but oh wells.

Hope you are all having a great October! I am trying to keep afloat and to keep crafting. I hope I can share more with you when I create more and have the time to post!

Before I left the Jury Pool Office...I wanted to make the law clerks something small from me. I saw this great idea somewhere and decided to make them. I decided to make them in different colors and decorate these matchbook post-it-notes with all the different lace ribbons I received from Lacey at Stamp and Create. I also added a mini pen to it as well. here's what it looks like with all of them...

Happy Saturday Everyone! I have been gone for a long time! So much has been going on in my life and I can't wait to update you on it, but for now I want to share with you a bridal shower card. I will be going to one of my best friend's bridal shower today who is the sweetest friend I know. I am wishing her a "happy ever after". I decided to use my flowers and design my own wedding dress. I then added a note, more flowers and used some pretty pink pearls. I made it into a easel card. Her colors are pink and gray. here is what it looks like...

Happy Hump Day everyone! Hope your weekend went well and that your week is going smoothly. This will be a short post, but I wanted to share this card with you that I made for my brother. He was going to a 1st birthday for a little girl and so I made it into a pink and brown shaker card. I used my reverse wonky rectangles for the window, added my beads, some crocheted ribbon, bling and a cute sentiment. I even decorated the inside, but I forgot to take a picture of that...sorry.

...BEAN COLLECTION...
Happy Friday Everyone! I wanted to share a couple composition books with you today. My daughter will be starting 7th grade soon...my baby is growing up! But she still wants me to decorate her covers, so I am happy. I decided to use TGF bean collection for these ones. The first one I used is called: Shiny Bean. I colored her with my copics, used some pretty DP paper, used a border punch, added some crocheted ribbon and used my nesties...here's the first one!

This one is the second book I covered. This one is using Glimmer Bean and Shimmer Bean. Did the same thing for this one. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out!

Shaker Sets...

...HAPPY 4TH OF JULY...
I hope you are spending this time with family and friends! I am down at the beach right now...having fun with my family, but I did want to share with you what I have been working on. Every year we have an annual neighborhood watch dinner and we also have a grab bag exchange with whoever wants to participate. So I try to make our gifts original and handmade. So this year I came up with the shaker checkbook cover w/ matching pen, a shaker easel post-it-note and a mini post-it-note. For both sets I used images from Lili of the Valley. This set I used "Maisie Two Balloons".

This set used "Milly me and my dog". I love the DP I picked up at J's Knicknacks the other day.

...MINI CLUTCH POST-IT-NOTES...

Hello Everyone! My mom gets together with her friends once a month and I decided to make something for them. Usually I only make for special occasions, but I was in the mood to create, so I did. I knew I wanted to use my mini post-it-notes, but as for what I wanted to make, well that was something else. I decided to use my Nesties the Reverse Wonky Rectangles to create this. I made 12.

here's what a single one looks like. I added a sentiment and some crochet trim.

this is what it looks like once it's open. I used mini velcro dots to hold it close. I hope the ladies enjoy it!

Happy Monday Everyone! Can you believe it's July already?! Wow, time really does fly by. Well I had a chance to create this weekend and so I wanted to finish up a few things. I also had a chance to stop by J's Knicknacks and picked up a few things. I found this cutie! I am not into owls, but this one was so kawaii...so I got it. I turned this pull out card into...what else...a shaker!!! LOL! I used my dahlia nesties for the window, added my color beads from martha stewart and added that cute sentiment.

Purple Fun...

...HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY KAYLA...

Happy Monday everyone! I am so glad I got a chance to craft this weekend. My niece's birthday is coming up this Saturday and so I wanted to make some cards for her. One is for my mother (her grandma) and the other one is from us. So this first one I decided to make a gatefold card. Something simple. I used my nesties to create the front design, colored with my copics and used the cute flirty Anya. Her favorite color is purple...I added a pretty purple flower and some bling too. On to my next card. Here I created a shaker easel card. She was so fascinated by my shaker checkbook covers that I made for Taelyn's teachers, that I thought why not make her a shaker card. I used everything purple...DP, beads and colored her with my purple copics...V20 & V25. I hope she enjoys it.

Graduations Galore!

I have another graduation card to share with you. My cousin's daughter in San Francisco has already graduated. I wanted to make her a special card. So I found my graduation Anya digi and made her just the right size, colored her in the school colors and added those shaker beads. I tried to make it simple as I had to send it in the mail and adding too many embellishments makes it very hard to mail. This is my card...sorry the picture is not too clear as I took a picture with my cell phone.

Hello Everyone! Sorry that I didn't get a chance to post before I left for Vegas, but I do have a chance now, so I will. I wanted to create something for my family when we went to our family reunion in Vegas. We have a reunion every year and this time I wanted to give them something homemade. I wanted to use "hawaiian" looking paper as most of them are from CA. I found more paper at Ben Franklin and this is what I came up with. I used the 3" x 3" post-it-notes. something simple and easy to make. here's a picture of all of them...

...TAG and CARD...

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Hope you all enjoyed a long weekend. I had Monday off as it was Memorial Day! This is a very short week for me. I am off to Vegas at the end of this week. A long and deserved vacation! I can't wait!!! Well as you can see I created a shaker tag for a dear friend who will be sworn in on Friday, June 1st @ the Supreme Court. Congrats Jessica!!! I attached it to a lei. Purple is her favorite color...just like mine! Hope she likes it!

Next card is for a graduate from Kamehameha. Her party was this past Monday. I created a shaker card with the same cutie...Cheeky Geeky! I also created one more, but forgot to take a picture of it, but it was just like this one...only pink :)

I hope I can post one more thing before I leave. I am making something to give to my family. We have a family reunion every year in Vegas...that's why we are going! ...MINI POST-IT-NOTES...

Happy Tuesday Everyone...The month of May is almost gone and we are heading into summer! I am very busy with trying to get some projects done. My daughter will be graduating from 6th grade tomorrow 5/30/12 and I decided to make each teacher that Taelyn had from Kindergarten to present and her special counselor who has helped us through the years (especially this year) a special basket of handmade gifts. I think this is the last of what I will be making...lol! I wanted to use my small post-it-notes, but I decided to use two of them side by side. Here's all 8 of them...

here's how I decorated the cover...I added some flower and ribbon.

So this is the final set...I used all matching DP :)

I made a shaker checkbook cover, bind-it-all notes, a credit card holder and the mini post-it-notes.

I hope the teachers enjoy their gifts! We (my daughter and I) have been truly blessed by Kaneohe Elementary School...the teachers, students and staff have been so kind and we are going to miss them dearly! Thank you for all the support! (2005-2012)...here we go to bigger and better experiences!
