Well, July is mostly gone now. It has been hot most of the time, and I mean Hot (hottest - 106 just last Wednesday). I don't do well in the heat. I had a deep brain stroke that wiped out a part of my pituitary gland that regulates body temperature. Now if it goes hotter than 86 or lower than 60, man I feel it.  I didn't mean for a quarter to pass by before I posted again, but that's what happened! I'm making the Raincross Quilt Guild's Block of the Month into baby quilts each month instead of blocks for an eventual quilt. Why?  Because I seem to get behind and never finish the BOMs. So since I want to make at least one baby quilt each month for St. Anne's, I'll have one done.  Just needs to be 36" square. At last! My SAHRR flimsy is done.  I finished it last Wednesday, but didn't have time to post it. Here it is: Round 4 was to use curves, I let the curvy lines of the flowers fabric of my Kaffe Fasset pieces stand for that. And Round 5 was to use two colors. I chose to instead use two fabrics. Nearing the finish of my SAHRR.  I've decided to  use my creative license to interpret the rounds.  I'm so behind with my SAHRR. I've finally finished Round 3 today. I opted for the cornerstones to highlight the animal block I chose - duck's foot as the State of Hawaii bird is a Nene goose. The prompt was an animal block. I looked and looked but came up with nada, zilch that I wanted to make.  Then I thought of the state bird of Hawaii - the Nene - and I found one called Duck's Foot. My quilt guild is doing their annual Block of the Month.  January's block is posted.  While I worked on my 2025 quilt, I didn't get far as reality put a hold on my quilting as I tried to fit 7 days of activities into 5 (care give my mom 2 days).  Thus I only did 3 months of the twelve and have made myself another UFO.  So what to do about the 2026?I'm still quilting and trying

October is behind us.  Does that put us in the Winter months?  I think it does. The skies have been foggy in the mornings - a thick fog that doesn't go away until near noon.  Back to quilting.  After my mishap, it was slow going to return to working in the sewing room. Since I could only piece, I began two more projects. One is a scrappy star quilt and one is a square in a square. And then I bought the latest issue of Quilter's World and a third quilt block was started. There are so many very nice quilts in this issue that I think I'll have a lot of ideas
