How film and digital come together on a wedding day

On a wedding day I carry both 35mm film cameras and digital cameras, using each in the way it serves you best. Film slows everything down just enough to notice the light, the atmosphere and those fleeting expressions; digital lets me move fast and never miss a moment.

Together they give you wedding photography that feels cohesive – not like two different photographers – just your day, photographed with as much care as you put into planning it.

My style, my home, and where I’ll travel for you

My wedding photography is art-led, colourful and full of energy. The kind of wedding photos that feel vivid, nostalgic and like you want them all over your walls. I’m based between Cheshire and Manchester, and a lot of my weddings happen here because this is home.

But if you love what I do and want it for your wedding, I’m just as happy jumping on a train to London, driving out to the Cotswolds or getting on a plane for a destination wedding. The place matters, but the people, the atmosphere and the way it all feels – that’s what I’m really there to capture.

Weddings move fast. Blending film and digital let me slow them down just enough.

One of the funny things about weddings is that after months of planning one day, the real experience is a blur of a million tiny, joyful, unscripted moments all at once. That in‑between look from your partner, your best friend doubled over laughing, your parents seeing you for the first time.

I photograph weddings on both 35mm film and digital, using each in the way it serves you best. Film gives everything more texture, depth and nostalgia; digital lets me move fast and never miss a beat. My job is to use both, together, to give you a vivid way of remembering what happened and, crucially, how it felt to live it.
