I don't know what I'll remember more about Sam and Neal's wedding at Crewe Hall... Sam being super excited in the morning (and the weeks and months beforehand!), her reaction when she realised the 'surprise car' Neal was arriving in was in fact a helicopter or just the way these two look at each other. It was just an incredible day from start to finish.

Debbie and John were married back in August. Their ceremony was held at Manchester Town Hall, followed by an intimate reception back at Debbie's family home in Cheshire. They booked me quite late, but I'm so glad I was still available as it was an absolute pleasure to capture their wedding day for them. Mainly because they're just so lovely, but also because their day was so personal, so intimate and so very 'them'. Just the way it should be.

This is an unusually personal post for my blog but hopefully something enjoyably different... For about three months I'd been planning on documenting the arrival of our newest little boy by photographing from the first contractions through labour and birth, capturing his first seconds in the world - all with Sophie's consent of course! Most people were a little horrified that she was allowing me to take my camera within 100 miles of her while she was in labour but she was completely up for it...

I make no secret of the fact that Belle Epoque Brasserie in Knutsford, Cheshire is one of my favourite wedding venues and a year ago today I was there documenting the wedding day of Lucy and Griff. After a morning spent at the hairdressers with Lucy, her mum and sister, then a trip to the pub to see Griff and the boys, they were married in Hazel Grove before heading over to Belle Epoque.
