Canon 50mm f1.8 was the first lens I ever bought that didn’t come with my camera and it was $125! I have been using it for a couple of years! My dad bought me my first DSLR and it was a Canon Rebel XT with an 18-55mm kit lens. I guess you can say that’s how I started getting more and more into photography. About two years ago I bought the Canon 50mm f1.4, it was good but I wasn’t too impressed by it, I was still using my f1.8 even then. Then just late last year I just purchased my Canon 50mm f1.2L, oh I am in LOVE! I had to upgrade because I am now photographing more weddings than last year. Last year was my first year of booking my own weddings! I photographed 5 on my own and this year I have about 15! I was a little overwhelmed but happy. I still second shoot for other photographers because I find that there’s a creative outlet in being a second photographer at a wedding. But enough about me, I can talk about my photography career in another post, and let’s get back to my favourite lenses!

I think having a silver reflector is a little too much for portraits, but then again, it really depends on how you use it. 

You’ve probably seen Ilinca a few times on my blog here and here. What can I say? She’s really easy to photograph and she also dances, so it’s easy for her to move and do her thing while I photograph her.

So, I wanted to share with you that one of the images got published on Toronto Sun!

We’re basically changing the Lightroom logo with my logo.At the top corner beside the Apple logo, click on Lightroom, then hover down and click Identity Plate Setup.A window should pop up, like the screenshot above. You can either do a text style or graphic style with the radio (circle) buttons above the black rectangle. Edit the text as if you would edit any text. Select the text to change the font, color, and size. You can even change the font on the modular navigation for Lightroom.

If you want to use a graphic logo, just select the circle “Use a graphical identity plate” and from there there should be a “Locate” file. Make sure your logo either has the same background color as the Lightroom background (in this case, black) or your logo is a PNG file. The best height for this is 45px.

You can save it from the drop down where it says “Custom”. In case you feel like having a text identity plate or a graphic identity plate. Hey, you never know right? ;)

Et voila! The above image is a text identity plate and the below image is a graphical identity plate (which, I also use as my watermark)

As some of you may know, I LOVE shoes. Remember my Louboutin classic black pumps? Yes, well now I have a classic NUDE peep toe! Valentino D’Orsay Couture pump in patent leather with signature bow detail. I fell in love with it once I walked in the store! Tried them on, walked around, and they have it in MY size! The heel height is perfect for me – I find the comfortable heel height is when I can still tip toe while wearing the shoes. Yeah I kind of went crazy and did a full out photo session! Haha. This is Faves Fridays post! My new favourite nude shoes! They’re more feminine than my Louboutins, but I love them both the same!
