This is my food and scenery post for when I visited Vancouver earlier this year. I definitely ate out a lot in Vancouver because the food is sooo good!

Bubble World. Haha I love tea and bubble tea. Brown rice matcha was really good!

Cactus Club Cafe

Hi Genki - traditional Japanese food and REALLY good. Servings are pretty big. Make sure you arrive early, they don’t take reservations and lines are usually long, but worth the wait!

Hanwoori. Probably my favourite Korean restaurant in Burnaby. I love their Gamjatang (I take it mild though, can’t take spicy food)! 

Joey Burnaby. Their pasta is not the best and a little too salty for me. Moroccan Chicken was good though!

Les Faux Bourgeois! Great French restaurant. A must! Reservations required.

Soirette. Their macarons are a little to sweet for me.

Thomas Haas. Best macarons and creme brulee!

Zakkushi. Really good Izakaya type of restaurant. Charcoal and grill.

I’ve been travelling a lot lately. And the thing with travelling is that you want to keep everything at minimal and keep it light. I wear cosmetics and I also use brushes to apply them. So when I got the Sigma Make Me Classy Travel Kit I fell in love! It comes with 7 travel-size brushes and a case for the brushes, which then becomes a brush holder! This way I don’t have to worry about getting my brushes dirty or use a cup at the hotel to hold them. The fact that it’s also a hard case (which is 7 inches tall) my brushes won’t lose its shape. I put a brush protector from Sephora on it as well.

With the cherry blossoms in bloom, Christine and I decided to go out early in the morning to take some photos. The light was just perfect this morning with nice weather we’re having too! She’s like my muse, I love her! I did a previous session with her before, which you can see here.

We all have our cravings. One of my cravings includes mini cupcakes!  Especially the moist and light flavored ones. Of course, if it were a craving I would want to eat more of it! With So Into Cupcakes’ mini cupcakes, I can indulge and eat as many as I want. I do try to limit myself to twelve mini cupcakes… And I’m not just saying this. There’s always a box of cupcakes from So Into Cupcakes in our fridge. You can even ask my sister . I just love how moist and light they are! And having it as bite-sized is even perfect! I ate these lil’ bad boys after I photographed them. They also come as regular sized cupcakes. Sometimes I order them for children’s portraits because kids love them! You can see here. They also have seasonal flavors that are not included here. For March, they have the green tea flavor! They’re also perfect for weddings and special occasions .

Nothing was added to make them look good, they already look like that!

Spending a Sunday afternoon with Hannah, Mark, and Mya is always a pleasure! I love capturing Mya grow, from Hannah’s belly to 10 weeks old to now, soon she’ll be walking! She is just so adorable, especially in her tutu! A fun family portrait session. All three of them are so fun to photograph, very easy-going and funny. Mya was being a “diva”, so I thought the black and white photo was perfect for the one shot!
