Ethiopia - hostel security

2026-10-15T07:26:15.916+01:00

Ethiopia – From Dr. Elfneh “While I was in Ethiopia, communication was almost impossible, beyond that, I have struggled with a deep sense of disappointment and hesitation as I struggle to find solutions. I have returned completely bewildered by the widespread corruption, injustice, and systemic collapse across the country's social, political, and spiritual institutions.

At present, it is virtually impossible to accomplish anything in Ethiopia without paying bribes; if you refuse to comply, progress simply grinds to a halt. This reality explains our inability to make any meaningful headway with our work there this year. “

It was felt imperative that due to the civil and political climate in Ethiopia the girls in the hostel be given added security from illegal trespassing, and repair the perimeter fence and surrounds.

Philippines 2 “Footsteps Protected, Future Rooted”

2026-09-28T10:06:29.355+01:00

Today, marked the significant community service in one of the remote areas in our province. It’s a three in-one event; preparation for present and future - , life awareness , necessitous living, and tree planting for a biodiversity support. One Hundred Twenty-Eight (128) High School learners received new slippers. Slippers used as a teaching medium for life awareness. They felt blessed upon knowing that a generous and kind-hearted individuals like you from afar can grant their wish for a cushion to their feet and ensuring every safe step. These learners come from poor families. They walk through rough uphill-downhill paths to attend school. Many of them have worn-out footwear. They are determined to pursue education despite some difficult challenging factors. Receiving new pairs of slippers set to ease the learners’ daily journey and encourage them to remain committed to their education. The school administration and the Inner Wheel Club of Central Bukidnon through kind-hearted channels DT Odette and IPP Glo Tan are expressing our big thanks to you sir for the real blessings that we received.. Respectfully yours,

Philippines - Back to school project

To help and aid parents for their school expenses for their students in the maginalized barangays where most peoples income is low & cannot suffice to the school needs needed especially during school opening days!! – also education on positive use of leisure time.

A simple gesture can make a big difference.

Through the Early Learners Welfare and Safety Initiative, spearheaded by our Immediate Past President, Glorecita Tan, our young learners received practical essentials to help keep them safe and comfortable—especially on rainy days.

The initiative also reflects IPP Glorecita's commitment to addressing the welfare and safety needs of young children through practical and responsive service.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generous support of David Tyler Trust & A Ray of Hope, UNESCO whose kindness helped bring this project to life. Service with purpose. Service with heart.

We have been creating skilled women that are now less depended on their husbands all of the times, women that widowhood is no more the end of their life, women that are forging ahead in good and bad times. I believe the world can only move forward through the contribution of women. On this occasion it was a mixed group who benefited from historical workshops, artefacts displays and home cooking demonstrations.

Through the 4 day unique Ashram Life Experience, the goal was to give our children an opportunity to step away from chaos and immerse themselves in a structured, serene and spiritually enriching lifestyle that combines meditation, yoga, mindful routines, spiritual learning and community living to holistically nurture the mind, body and soul.

Their day began at 6am with meditation, followed by yoga, eating breakfast and all meals mindfully in silence, shram daan, gaushala + unidiversity visit and spending time with Swami ji. They also participated in outdoor activities like Ganga snaan and Ganga Arati at Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh

It was a life changing and fulfilling experience for the children and they have returned with many learnings that they wish to apply in their day to day lives.

Uganda Health Camp

2026-03-15T13:22:00.000+00:00

Uganda – health Camp – from Sophie -I am pleased to inform you that the community health camp was successfully held, and the turnout was overwhelming. A total of 502 persons with disabilities and other vulnerable members of the community attended and received much-needed services. Your generous support through A Ray of Hope made this possible, and it brought vital health services closer to the people who need them most. On behalf of Feeble Care and the entire community, we sincerely thank you for your kindness and commitment to uplifting vulnerable populations.

Sophgenyi Feeble Care Initiative successfully held our Community Health Camp at Mparangasi Health Centre III in Kyabigambire Sub-county, and the turnout from the community was truly impressive

The Camp reaffirmed an important principle: essential services must be brought closer to the people, particularly persons with disabilities and other vulnerable populations who often face structural and physical barriers when accessing healthcare.

Community members accessed medical consultations, medicines, counselling, and health education delivered by dedicated medical professionals.

We also conducted a blood donation exercise, demonstrating the community’s spirit of solidarity and commitment to saving lives.

Importantly, the camp went beyond health services. Redeem International was present to sensitise widows, widowers, and orphans about their land right and to inform them about how they can receive legal support when their land has been unlawfully taken from them. Land security is fundamental to dignity, livelihood, and justice.

I extend my sincere appreciation to all partners and supporters who made this impactful outreach possible:

Hoima District Local Government for providing medical personnel, technical guidance, and essential medicines

The Reproductive Health Unit for delivering vital health education

Redeem International for championing justice and protecting vulnerable families through land rights awareness

Our generous donor, David Tyler Trust; A Ray of Hope, for supporting this initiative

The dedicated team at Feeblecare and all volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the camp a success

When institutions, civil society, and communities work together, we move closer to a society where healthcare, justice, and opportunity are accessible to all—especially #PWDs and other vulnerable groups.

Nepal - Optometry Eye Care

2026-02-23T11:29:00.002+00:00

Nepal – from Sunita Health Camp for eyes. I am very thankful to be part of an educational development project through a free eye check up camp which is held in shiksha sadan secondary school with the help and coordination of surdristi eye care. The main purpose of this project is to promote early detection of vision issues, increase awareness about eye health. Good vision is essential for effective learning, concentration, and overall child development. Many school-aged children suffer from undetected eye problems that affect their academic performance and quality of life. We propose organizing a Free Eye Check-Up Camp for 60 students of Saraswoti Primary School, Banepa. The camp will be conducted by qualified optometrists and ophthalmic assistants, providing comprehensive vision screening, eye health education, and referrals for students requiring further evaluation or treatment. This initiative aims to promote early detection of vision issues, increase awareness about eye health, and support families who may not have access to regular eye care services. The program will include basic coordination with local eye hospitals for follow-up care and provision of free or low-cost spectacles where necessary. By ensuring every student can see clearly, we help create a healthier, more focused learning environment and contribute to the overall well-being of our community.

Nepal - science laboratory set up rural schools

2026-02-14T09:53:00.001+00:00

Nepal from Binod - The Science Lab Support Project is designed to strengthen the quality of science education in remote and underserved schools across Nepal by ensuring access to essential laboratory resources. Many schools in these areas continue to rely solely on theoretical instruction due to the absence of proper laboratory equipment, limiting students’ ability to fully grasp scientific principles and experiment-based learning.

To effectively target support, the project will collaborate with local stakeholders, educational authorities, and community representatives to identify schools with the greatest need. Once selected, these schools will receive comprehensive laboratory sets aligned with the national curriculum, along with guidance on their use and maintenance. Where necessary, the project may also coordinate training for teachers to ensure they can confidently facilitate practical science activities.
