My Thoughts:

I finally got my hands on this book! I've wanted to read this book since February when I had to choose between Partials by Dan Wells and Dearly, Departed and let's just say I kind of want to kick myself in the butt for not choosing this book! Dearly, Departed is an excellent book for zombie lovers like myself, but I was a little wary at the concept of the Steampunk, new era setting, but I think the concept gave it a very original story. The story is written from five different POV's that I sometimes found confusing and made me go back and look at the beginning of the chapter, but overall I enjoyed seeing the story from different peoples point of views. I really enjoyed Bram, Pam and Nora's point of view over Wolfe and Nora's father because honestly Wolfe's oh-so-evil thoughts were kind of disturbing, and Nora's father was kind of a drag from the action the other characters had. Overall Habel's characters were written beautifully and they all had a particular voice to them, like Pam's badassness, Ren's adorable geekyness, and Chas's way of putting things you could say. I also had a love/hate relationship with Bram and Nora's relationship, since you see their thoughts of each other from both points of view, and know they like each other the whole time; it drives you nuts because they have doubts about the other person’s feelings. But overall the romance is sweet and innocent. I recommend this book to fans of Carrie Harris and Amy Plum.

What I gave it: 4.5/5 Stars

My thoughts:

Katie McGarry book Pushing the Limits was both heat breaking and a hopeful story for all people both teenage, and well beyond the age of a teenager. McGarry book explored the world of death, betrayal, hope, sacrifice, and forgiveness, and I think that those qualities is what makes her book so bittersweet. The main characters of the story, Echo and Noah, both have suffered a great deal in recent events before the actually story. Echo, with her brother dying two years before in Afghanistan fighting in the war, and her mother’s attempt on her life, but Noah with his parents dying in a fire, and his two younger brothers being thrown into foster care system. During this whole book, both the characters fight emotional battles, and well has physical and mentally. This story was beautifully written with lots of romance. The only reason I didn't give this book a full five stars was because I think McGarry developed Noah and Echo's relationship a little fast, but overall it had a good concept. This book had me thing a lot about forgiveness, and I found myself tearing up a bit in the end after the story played out. I recommend this book to people who personally enjoyed authors like Simone Elkles, Nicholas Sparks, and Sarah Dessen.

This book is via NetGalley, and I really appreciate them letting me read this book!!

My Thoughts:
I gotta say I already loved Will and Sam but this book just completely solidified that bond!! Like poor Sam hadn't been through enough in her young life, crazy Hans kidnaps her and STEALS one of her eggs! That is such a personal violation it's right up there with Rape! I felt so bad for her!
"It put my step-mother's annual heartache about a miscarriage in a completely different light. I hadn't understood why she felt sad about someone she'd never met. But I got it now. She grieved for someone she had seen, if only in her imagination." I LOOOVE this line!
This is the 3rd book in a FANTASTIC series if you haven't checked them out yet I HIGHLY recommend doing so NOW!!

This series is really fantastic and I recommend that anyone who has any interest in paranormal try it out! Kiersten is a wonderful writer and she really draws you in.

Hey our lovely fellow Bloggers/Followers, I am REALLY sorry about how slow I've been with reviews in the past month! I'll Have FIVE more coming up some time this week when I get the time to post them, and I promise I'll remember! Or you can just yell at me or something you guys are creative!(:

I read Legend about a week ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about it since! If you're an old follower you know my favorite genre is Dystopians/ Post Apocalyptic world, but this one is unforgetable! The story takes place in Los Angles, California in the year of 2130, and follows the stories of Day, who is the Republics most wanted crimanal, and June, the Republics little military prodigy. Well, what gets the story going is the death of Junes brother, Metias. And the supposed murderer is of course, Day. Unfortunatly after that, everythings gets to literally be one hot mess with the characters. June is responsible for tracking down Day, and eventually, BAM! They fall for each other. This book does have some romance, but not very much in the kissy kissy department, more like 'I have to save you,but you're really saving me.' department. But that what made it a great story line! It was suspenceful and had a couple of action scenes with the Republiv V.S the Colonies spies, then why did I give it 4.5 stars instead of five to this great book? The reason behind that my dear people is because honestly, the plot is a little predicable *insert sigh here*. Don't get me wrong, this book was great, it was just literally nine times out of ten I was right where the books plot went with things. My suggestion is to just wait for it in your local library or borrow it from a friend due to the fact the book is just a little over three hundred pages long! Enjoy!

My Thoughts;
I have never reviewed an app before, so this was a first for me, but as both an iphone and android user I USE apps like this one EVERY DAY! I really liked this app because as a reader it was perfect for me, but I also have a dorky side that loves ALL THINGS ZOMBIE!! (I already had 4 other Zombie apps! :D ) It was so much fun that I had to include others in the fun, Soooo.... I also got Rachel, My husband Torey, My son Dylan and My Daughter Haylie in on the action! One thing we all agreed on was WE CAN'T WAIT FOR PART 3!!

My Thoughts:

I waited for a while to get my hands on this book, and it was TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT! I loved it! I was already totally in love with Will and Alona's story, and this book just fueled that fire! When Alona learns that not only her mother but also her father is moving on from her death, she kinda loses it! And she has pretty much every right too! After all she IS / WAS their only child! But Will doesn't see it that way, and refuses to help her, so in true Alona fashion she takes matters into her own hands... AND ends up in BIG TROUBLE! I cant wait till the next book to see where Will and Ally (ALONA) go after all the major changes they have been through, But sadly the next book Body and Soul does not come out until May 29th 2012! So I guess it's Another LONG wait for me!

My Thoughts:
Lauren Kate deserves some serious props for this one!!! She must have researched her A$$ off!! Luce's trek through her past lives covers some serious history, and I loved it! The constant need for costume changes for Luce cracked me up. Bill, her Travel companion always has something snappy to say along with his attempts at history lessons.
Now Daniel too, was on his own search through time trying to catch up with Luce, but to me it did not raise my opinion of him anymore then it had been, I am still not a fan of Daniel's! That was until he went back to the beginning (the VERY beginning) that changed my mind just a little bit on how I see him as selfish and kinda a drama queen (lol JUST a little bit). Run my errands and do my shopping like I always do on Tuesdays! And If I am real lucky get in some Library time too! (Not just the "rush in, drop off, grab a quick book and check out" kind.. "The wander around for half an hour or more checking out new stuff" kind of time)

2. Pudding or Jello?
Hmmm well now that depends.. I like BOTH! So it depends on what flavors you've got to offer..
For Instance I HATE INSTANT PUDDING! and I LOVE COOK'n'SERVE, but you couldn't get me to eat Tapioca or Banana Pudding if you PAID me!

And I don't think I have found a flavor of Jello that I DIDN'T like yet :)

My Thoughts:

This cover screams many words to me but the loudest one is Bad ass! Back when this books cover was finally revealed it was my first reaction to it, and the cover totally gave off the right vibes! This book was awesome, and it was everything you would expect for the last book in this series! The books plot I was actually really impressed with, because each scene and chapter flowed smoothly into each other and it kept you guessing! I absolutely hate see through books, because there't no fun in a book that you can predict! Lili did a great job with pulling the heart strings as well, between everything with Graves and Christophe I was jumping back and forth between both boys! But in the end Graves finally won my heart, due to the fact that in the end we get a bit of a surprise with him and everything isn't having a happy ending yet (Plus I am a total sucker for the brokened heros!). And yet you wonder why I give it 4 stars if this book was that great? Well, my reasoning behind it was because IT HAD SO MANY LOSE ENDS! Well I supposed this is a good thing, because she could always start the books up again *fingers crossed*, but it just feels like Reckoning shouldn't have ended the way it did. Other than that, I recommend this series to everyone!

Just another school day around here they all start and end the same way pretty much. I never was one to be discriminating against Mondays :)

2. What is your favorite kind of milkshake?
mocha chocolate coffee we make ourselves at home! Its Very YUMMY!

3. What monthly bill do you most dislike paying?
Even Though it's one of the lower ones The water bill, Because of 2 reasons:
1. The old lady that runs the place is a grumpy mean old bitty!
2. I know for a fact That we are being seriously OVERCHARGED! because it's impossible for a family of 5 to have a $125+ bill some months and a 26$ bill other months but a local business that runs water 24/7 and makes ice by the gallon runs between only $60-$90 a month, and normally I would say maybe I am just Paranoid or something but after hearing a few other people say similar stories and finding out "big Players" in town Politics have bills that average $20 a month .... I am just a little TOUCHY! I just Love how things work in VERY small towns! NOT!

My Thoughts:
It's funny, the best way to quickly describe this book is Harry Potter meets "The Bodyguard" , I know it sounds silly but it's REALLY great! Tessa who is a God's Honest GOOD GIRL (for a teenager these days) gets stuck with the total BAD BOY, Rich BRAT type, Hayden as her bodyguard all, because someone is after her and her life is in danger. But wait that's not all... she's a witch and didn't know it too. So who's after her?? Oh no biggie, just two sides of a war between witches who are going to fight over her to have her join their side!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I really could not put it down, it kept me up all night! The end was very final, but I am still hopeful that Veronica will turn this into a series, because I would love to see more of these characters and this type of witches! I always love when an Author creates a whole new type of story instead of the same ol' same and that's EXACTLY what she's done!

Bedroom... With all the company (expected) for Thanksgiving focus has been on Food, Food, Dishes, and Food. (and keeping the downstairs clean(ish) with kids home from school all week). And stuff (aka. Mess) has been really piling up in my bedroom!

2. What food makes you think of Christmas?
Cookies!!

Because I bake cookies by the ton for friends and family every Christmas!

3. If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
I think 30... The age I am now. I might think differently when I am older, but for now I think it's a very good age.

4. What was your first paying job?
Babysitter! :(
I was "pimped" out a lot as a babysitter, not to mention stuck watching my own little brothers on a daily basis, but as an up side... I had a steady income at age 13! :)

5. Have you read the Twilight series?
Ummm Is the Pope Catholic ????

Ok I think I've said this before but I'll say it again.... I am a SNOB... a COVER SNOB that is! I ALWAYS judge a book by its cover, I am NOT PROUD of this fact. I know its wrong, and I am ashamed of it but I can't help it. That being said... I DID NOT think I would like this book! I got it in the mail and took one look and thought BLAH and decided I was not in a rush to start it (I am very sorry for that NOW) I know Authors work their a$$es off trying to put together their work with the perfect title and perfect way to present it to readers, but sometimes I say it doesn't do their work the JUSTICE it deserves!
Why am I telling you this? Because here's my point ... I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! I HATE IT'S TITLE AND COVER!!
But anyways.....
I don't think I ever cried as much as I did with this book with any other, And YES that was a good thing, I connected with this Character Mykaela on a level I didn't think possible. She's my new friend and she just told me the heartbreaking story of the last 4 years of her life, and I hung on her EVERY word! That's exactly what reading this book is like, a friend telling you a story (smartass comments and insults included).
The places Mykaela visits in Europe sound AMAZING and beautiful, and now I really wanna go(even more than I already did). Mykaela is from SoCal just like me and parts are set in Cali, which I always love when a book is set at "home" for me. Some people might have a problem with the underage drinking that goes on, but personally it speaks to the reality of the story to me.... Anyone that believes teens don't drink is seriously deluding themselves :)
All in all This was a fantastic read, and I really hope this book gets a lot more attention, because it deserves it! It's storytelling at its finest, and friendships like they are MEANT to be!

My Thoughts:

This book had a lot more major potential in my opinion. The main character, Savannah or Sav is the daughter of a witch and vampire. Nice twist right? Yes it is, but unfortunately it just didn't have the amazing effect to the story. The author could have had thrown in a few more twist in the story, especially in the beginning which was slow. I like the idea of a half witch/vampire, but she could have thrown more of the Witch side of the character into the story little more, like adding an accidental magic fluke or something. Her character development was great though, we saw how the character progressed from the quiet girl who took her bullying, to the "Ice Princess" faze where Savannah didn't let anyone push her around and told them what was wrong, & strong female heroines who don't take crap is what I like in a book. The forbidden romance was originally drew me to request this from NetGalley, even though the cover did attract me, the forbidden romance of this book was good. As the main man in the book, Tristan kept asking even though he knew the consequences and I thought it was really sweet for him to do what he did (Sleeping outside!) just to get a little more time with the girl he like. I thought it was a great read for that aspect to the book, and her only flaw in it was how slow it was. This book is a great read to have, but it didn't have the I'm-going-to-die-wait for the second book. I look forward to the second book in the series, and I hope that maybe this will develop into a series I will look forward to seeing the third or fourth!

My Thoughts:
Personally as an Anita Blake Fan I was really happy to finally have her get back to real killers and crime fighting. This was book #20 in the Anita Blake : Vampire Hunter series and these days I find myself, fully endorsing the first 12 books then I follow that up with a big BUT. As in but, the next 7 books are more sex than story and I really did not like Books 17, 18, and 19 very much at all!! So I am really grateful that this book had real story to it and brought back a bunch of characters we hadn't seen in a while that are oldies but goodies!

My thought:

Crossed was an ABSOLUTE let down from Matched! This book had so much more potential, and it was a total snoozefest! Crossed picked up right where Matched left off, and honestly it it seemed like it went absolutely no where. I get that this is the middle book, and that it's the bridge between the first and third book, but she could have brought so much more action in the landscape the characters are in. Besides the lack in action, I will give Condie some points in the character department with the new ones. There are four new characters introduced to us in Crossed and Condie did a fairly good job in creating them, and giving us a bit about how and why the characters ended up in the tangles of Crossed. In Crossed, we learn new secrets about both the characters Ky, Cassia, and even Xander although he has about only 7 pages of a cameo in the book. It's narrated by both Ky and Cassia, which was great, but I found myself looking back at the beginning of the chapter to see which persons view it was because honestly Cassia's and Ky's voice sounded to alike! I actually liked Ky's narration better because for a few chapters Cassia get's whiny and it annoyed the heck out of me! All I know is that the next book better be sooo much more or some fans (like me!) will be irate! I would put more in my review, but since this is a new release (and it is already kinda long..) and know some people haven't read it so I'm going to shut it! This book wasn't for me, but I hope others will enjoy it!
