ASP Apparel and Underworld Amusements are proud to present: Den of Iniquity Tribute T-shirts!

In the basement of the Black House, Anton Szandor LaVey created the total environment that he felt most at ease in: a seedy dive bar populated by the down and out. But those who populated it were literally his creations, as they were all meticulously crafted artificial humanoids. In the back wall he had a backlit sign reading “Den of Iniquity”, and this new shirt is based on the lettering of that sign. This faux-souvenir lists the address of the former home of the Church of Satan beneath the logo.
A subtle tribute to a man who created his own world.

Designing the ASP Sigil / Logo

Quite a few people have shown interest in the elements involved in the ASP Apparel logo design, a personal sigil created by Ashley S. Palmer.

The main elements in the design utilise the Golden ratio. The golden ratio (denoted by the Greek letter phi) is an irrational mathematical constant, approximately 1.6180339887. It has been employed by many artists throughout history for the aesthetically pleasing effect of the proportions of the ratio when applied to design and geometry.

Proving to be a source of intrigue for thousands of years, the golden ratio is even found in the architecture of places of historical importance and beauty such as Stonehenge, The Great Pyramid of Giza and the Parthenon.

This wireframe image shows the construction of the logo and its relationship with the golden ratio, Fibonacci sequence and formation of Trapezoids, Pentagram/gons and Asps (snakes).

Book & Rifle Club – New Underworld Amusements Design!

Welcome to the first design in the Underworld Amusements Fauxternal Order clothing line, the Book & Rifle Club...
Being fond of the pomp and mystery of fraternal orders but being both godless and misanthropic means that the designer isn't apt to actually join one. With a romantic notion of the days when men would congregate in private under the banner of some exotic name for ceremony and hi-jinx, these designs will be evocative of some occult order without the hassle of monthly dues or pretending to care about charities.

The Book & Rifle Club design is inspired by an old Italian proverb about the things needed to make a good man. It also features something new for ASP Apparel, a custom text area where you can place your city name (real or fictitious) in the design itself!
