Secret Recipe, Suria Sabah

Went out with my 2 beautiful best friends, Intan & Macy last Monday. It's been a while since the 3 of us last met. We decided to hangout at Suria Sabah.

We had brunch at Secret Recipe which is located at 2nd Floor. At first we went to One Station but after they informed us they don't have mushroom soup at the moment, we decided to go here instead. Both of these food outlets were just next to each other with a shop in between. Forgot what shop was it. Nvm.

Brownies Walnut with Vanilla Ice Cream - RM 8.50

Intan ordered this because she had eaten at home so this was her dessert.

Price is quite expensive. Loved it! The soup tasted very good.

One word: Yum-meh!

I was so full after finishing my laksa, so I asked them to tapau it. I ate it at home and memang tidak ada rupa kek sudah. Hihihaha. Lepas makan pergi shopping kan. Imagine la macamana kena bawa jalan itu kek.

Kon Lau Mee with Fish Soup (Milk)

The soup was nice. The noodles were a bit dry. What I did was, I poured a bit of soup to the noodles to make it not too dry. I always do that when eating Kon Lau Mee. I love to eat this kind of soup. You can get it at Restoran Atong in Donggongon, Penampang too.

Kui Tiaw with Ham Choi Soup

Marcie ordered this one. Last time I went here, I ate this one. The taste was not bad at all. Tasted like Ham Choi Soup :D

What A Day

This beautiful morning Marcie and I went to an exam together. I woke up late so the plan to have breakfast at Pipin's have to be cancelled. So, Plan B was Damai for breakfast.

Then, we went to Damai (again) for lunch at Upperstar.

As usual, it is quite hard to find a parking space there. What happened was some a**hole with his a**-Ninja car took an available parking space where we were the ones who saw it first. So what if you have big car! I swear if I was driving my dad's Mazda Fighter at that moment I will knock you down for sure and come let's go to the police station and you will definitely be f*cked up.

Using his a**hole brain he took that space by entering from the opposite way. By right, that space was supposed to be mine. That fucking road is a ONE-WAY road you a**hole.

Luckily I was in a good mood today, so I just let him go. Let that a**hole, his a**hole wife and also his a**hole still young son. I am saving your face by not telling you how wrong you are in front of your wife and kid! I am really doing you a favour. *sigh*

After making a few rounds around the car park (while cursing in the car with Marcie), we finally found one. Thank you God for Your blessing even though we have cursed.

When we went into Upperstar, the place was full with customers but we managed to find a spot for us. The waiter took our orders and I was impressed with the service today as my order arrived in a very short time.

My Fish and Chips RM12.95

Tasted as usual like what it tasted like because I always order this one. Sometimes the size of the fish fillet they give is small but sometimes bigger. Today they gave big ones to me. Didn't really like the coleslaw because not enough mayonnaise bah. I like my coleslaw with lots of mayo bah! The chips was so-so. Not even crunchy and not even golden yellow too. I can fry better than that.

Marcie's Panne Chicken arrived 5 minutes later and I was so darn hungry I forgot to take a picture of her food :P All I can tell you was it tasted so good. Better than my mine! And the price is only RM6.95.

We ordered Iced Lemon Tea for drinks. That drink really quenched the thirst away. Awesomely sour and not too sweet just right for my taste. Yummy!

Alright, back to that stupid son of a b*tch.

What I want to say is, f*ck you inconsiderate people. I hope one day when you do that, in that process someone will knock your car down and hit you big time. Lucky you I was in a good mood today. I am not one who is usually very patient when someone took a parking space in that way. I do believe in Karma.

P/S: Sorry for my improper words. I am just mad when people do stuff like that especially on the road. Don't you? Please don't tell me it is okay for other people to that kind of things towards you.

Hello! Gong Xi Fa Cai! Today on the 1st day of Chinese New Year, my 2nd cousin (Elron) got engaged to my colleague (Laura)! So happy for both of them. : D

This was my very first time representing 'rombongan lelaki' during an engagement ceremony.

Bambangan and I

Hi, today I helped my mother in law to make a Kadazan traditional side-dish which is called Bambangan. I never saw how Bambangan was made. I only know how it was made and today I had the chance to make one! Actually, I only helped with the grating part. Teehee.

According to Fascinating Malaysia:

Bambangan is a type of wild mango with brown skin and a somewhat pungent smell. This is not eaten fresh as a fruit but made into a pickle or cooked with fish for a distinctive flavour.

So, here are the ingredients that you need:
1. Bambangan
2. Bambangan seed
3. Salt
4. Chilli (optional)

I will try my best to provide the step by step for you :)

1. Peel the skin.

2. Cut it into small cubes of half inches.

3. Cut the Bambangan seed into half and take the inside of it. Then, you need to grate it.

4. Pour in salt according to how you want it to taste like. Mix all the ingredients together.

5. Put it in an airtight container or jar. And voila! After 24 hours, you can enjoy delicious Bambangan. Some people prefer to wait until 1 week. The reason why you need to wait at least 24 hours is because the seed will still taste bitter if you straight away eat it (like what I did just now.) I swear I didn't know this until just now! Hahaha. You need to give the time for all those ingredients to mixed together overnight.

He Jia Fu Restaurant, Luyang-Likas

Today is Friday so as usual lunch break is 11.30am until 2.00pm and as usual also me will go outz tzo eatz somewhere furtzher tzhan tzhe offize wiz friendz. Partners in crime are Maryam and Izy, as usual. What's with the as usual huh?

We decided to try a new spot which is He Jia Fu Restaurant located opposite road side of Razz Ma Tazz. It is a Chinese Muslim Food Restaurant so you can bring your Muslim friend to eat there as well because it serve no pork and it is a halal restaurant. Where else can you find people like this if not in Sabah. Sabah is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. Heh.

Sorry I forgot to take the picture of the restaurant. Will do so in the future. I apologize : (

Maryam ordered Wet Butter Chicken with Rice - RM7.50. The butter tasted so yummy! Not too creamy because usually butter broth have butter-y and creamier taste but this one nailed it! I would love to try this one on my next visit. I love the wet butter broth. I really am in love with it.

Izy ordered Fish Noodle Soup - RM8.00. I think the soup they have is herbal soup. When I tasted the soup, I can taste the herb. Nothing special with the soup. Tasted like just ordinary soup.

As for me, I ordered Fried Penang Kui Tiaw Seafood - RM8.00. I was shocked when I saw my food in front of me. I was like 'how will I even finish THIS?' but....... I managed to finish it. I love KUI TIAW. The taste is not bad. I just want to ask this:

Here is the thing: Penang Kui Tiaw means Kui Tiaw + Clam + Taugeh + Scallion. Not all restaurant cooked it that way and it is supposed to be cooked that way because that is why it is called Penang Kui Tiaw. If you don't know how to cook Penang Kui Tiaw, better don't put it in your menu. You can just say Fried Kui Tiaw full-stop.

We also ordered a side dish which is Chicken + Mushroom Dumpling - RM6.00. It tasted so-so. Nothing special for me.

The price there quite reasonable like normal price or standard price in KK city area.

I noticed that the noodles that they used are made by themself. If you choose to sit near the kitchen, you can see through their transparent plastic wall. You can watch their worker doing his magic with the noodles. His hands worked like MAGIC! I can imagine him doing kung fu noodle style. Hahaha. The noodle man is a Chinese btw. Wearing kopiah some more. Reminded me of Kung Fu Panda's foster dad, Mr. Ping the Goose. Hahahaha.

According to Izy, that place is surely full-house during the night. It is a famous restaurant after all. Is it a new restaurant? I am not sure myself. Maybe next time I can interview the workers or the owner there.

P/S: Waitresses there should at least know how to speak in Chinese for the convenience of their Chinese customers :) For the time being, I don't see any of the waitress converse in Chinese.

Recently I passed by that asshole shop and what I saw made me almost do a happy dance in the public, in front of that asshole shop. Almost, silly.

Previously that asshole shop rented 2 spaces/ section of shop or whatever for their business. Hello? Bigger place. Larger area. Get it? But, now that asshole shop is opening 1 space/ section of their shop to people for rent. Half of their shop. Hahahaha. Ha! Take that!

Currently their shop consist only of 1 space/ section la. Tidak ada bisnes la tu kan. HUAHUAHUAHUA. Mau gulung tikar sudah.

Sekarang baru kau tahu. Padan muka. Itu lah layan orang macam tahi, bisnes pun lama-lama jadi macam tahi.

My 1st Post in 2012

Yay! Hooray! It's the year 2012! Thank God for I am still alive until this day. And a few weeks time it will be the Dragon year in Chinese calendar. I was born in the year of the Dragon. What about you?

Quick updates from me.
1. Today is my last day of holiday.
2. Will officially start my 1st day of work in 2012 tomorrow.
3. Is so excited because this year I will be having my big day. Stay tuned for when is the exact date. Might be posting some stuff here and there to ask for opinions from you.
4. Suffering from this Vertigo. It's been 3 days. Saw a video from Youtube in how to cure them. Tried it just now and for now I'm all good.
5. Missing Zumba classes so badly. Not sure when will my class be starting this year. Have to ask my colleague tomorrow.
6. Gained a few kilograms and I am blaming my fiance for this. Hahahaha :D Let's lose those extra weight in order to look good in pictures ok mister.

Hi! I hope it's not too late for me to wish a blessed Christmas to each and everyone of you!

Please do bear in mind dear people that Christmas is not about Santa Claus is coming to town or Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer or etc.. Christmas is actually about remembering the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus Our Saviour. All those Santa Claus, Christmas Tree and so on are just those business-oriented people wanting to gain more profit during festive seasons.

I am not saying that it is a wrong thing to do to have a Christmas Tree in your house but please do keep in mind the real meaning of Christmas alright?
