I plan on going to the park office and see if I can find pictures of this place when it was still occupied. These appear to be massive pillars, but they seem like they are not at the front of the house.

This whole house is being consumed by nature. It is huge and must have been grand. The Pawlings (later, Wetherills) were wealthy and successful.

I haven't found the right time to document this place, and since it is behind a fence it is going to be tough.

Wetherill Barn - Pawlings Farm

This is a huge barn, in pretty bad shape. The park wants to rebuild this whole area. Right now, most of the structures have barbed wire around them, making photography a challenge.

The span of this tree is enormous, with many branches coming to rest on the ground, only to bounce back up. This was an interesting knot about 5 feet above ground.

The house here is well-kept, has electrical service and a window-unit air conditioner. I don't think anyone lives there now, although tenants do live on the farm.

One can only imagine what was witnessed by this tree during 1777-1778 - I shot this on a hot August morning, with the cicadas timbals singing, not much like when the Continental Army. was present.
