Please note: This story on Michael Patrick McManus is rapidly developing. Please check the Michael Patrick McManus tag for the most up to date information.

We here at ASP love the American justice system. It really is a great thing. I think it is safe to say that a small tear comes to our eye when we see criminals being lead into court house showing us such a fine example of the walk of shame with a. . .jockstrap on their head? No, it really isn't a jockstrap. Wait? Could that be? It's General Douchy McChinPubes! Michael Patrick McManus had his first day in court!

Well! Isn't that just special? He is clean shaven, in civilian attire, and lacking the CIA with general star ball cap he was wearing the first video ready to see da man to find out just how much cash is going to have to fork over to free his hind parts from the cold clutches of the jail cell he called home over the weekend. The "jockstrap" on his head is just a bandage he picked up from the prison medical ward because he had a bit of a panic attack. I guess Bubba came to pay him a bit of a visit and it scared him just a bit. I can imagine him flopping around trying to get out of Bubba's bear hug and he manage to bang his head on the sink, then the john, then the bars. Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark!

My buddy TSO over at This Ain't Hell, who should get a friggin medal for all the research did on McChinPubes, got a copy of all the court docs filed today. I embedded the good stuff after the break, but here's the good stuff. And when I say good stuff I mean, holy crap you've got to be kidding me there is something WRONG with this guy good stuff.

MCMANUS was previously convicted in U.S. Federal Court in California in 2002, arising out of federal criminal charges originating in Louisiana, for impersonating a U.S. “Air Marshal” and also impersonating a U.S. Army Major, both in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 912, He received a sentence of two years probation, which was later revoked for violations. At the time of his offense relating to those criminal charges, MCMANUS had been wearing an unauthorized U.S. Army Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) of the unearned rank of Major (and with fraudulent U.S. Army identification papers naming him as an Army Captain) with attached unearned patches, insignia, and awards, on board a commercial aircraft in New Orleans and also falsely represented himself to the flight crew as a current member of the U.S. military and an “Air Marshal”, and where he attempted to gain access to the plane’s cockpit. Due to the suspicious nature of his uniform and his suspicious claims to the flight crew, he was not permitted by the flight crew to remain on the flight. He was later arrested in California and convicted of these charges there.

Okay so first retard claimed to be an air marshal. Um, I'm pretty sure those guys have ID and have to present it to the flight crew if asked for it. I'm also sure that it is a pretty small community relatively speaking and that the flight crews have gotten to know them over the last few years. If you're gonna trust them to have a gun on the plane and defend you when the next shoe/gun/boob bomber strikes, I'd kinda like to know the guy, see pictures of the kids, and buy him a drink from time to time.

Next our brain child is wearing the uniform of a Major, but has ID saying he is a Captain. So, what? You just got promoted and didn't have time to make it to the DEERS ID card center to get your new ID? Please, that is the first stop everyone makes when they get promoted once they get promoted. I don't know about the rest of the people in the military, but I'd feel retarded pulling through the gate handing them an ID that says Corporal but I'm really a Sergeant. Poor Lance Corporal gate guard is going to say, "Have a good day, Cor-Sergeant. Uh…." Good on the flight crew for picking up on his retard games and kicking him off the plane.

It gets better! I was right when I said that there may be a chance he was in the Army at some point.

5. Official U.S. military records, which include MCMANUS’ form DD-214, indicate MCMANUS entered on Active Duty with the United States Army on November 11, 1984 and separated on March 31, 1987. During this period, MCMANUS attained the rank of Private First Class and a pay grade of E-1. The form DD-214 further indicates MCMANUS was awarded or authorized to wear only the following awards: an Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Expert Marksmanship Badge – Rifle; and Marksman Marksmanship Badge – Pistol. MCMANUS’ type of separation is Defined on the DD-214 as “Discharge” and the character of service is defined as “Under Honorable Conditions”, which is not the same as an “Honorable Discharge”.

So he enlists in the Army and does less than three years and never makes E4. It doesn't take a real quick witted person to figure out that he wasn't the best soldier on the planet. From what the FBI affidavit says, he made E3 before getting busted down to E1 and getting kicked out completely. Great job! But do you see any mention of a Distinguished Service Cross in his awards? How about a Bronze Star? Silver Star? Purple Heart? I don't either. Lying sack of crap.

The federal magistrate granted him a $25,000 unsecured bond. I would have liked to have seen him rot in jail, but oh well. Perhaps his stay over the weekend taught him a lesson or two. But judging from his list of priors I bet we'll see him pulling more crap like this in the future.

And how about I leave you with a little more required reading of the political nature? Guess where McManus worked for a bit spreading his lies about his awards and being an officer? Houston City Hall.

I've been writing about the military dating scams for far too long. Far too long. I've recently decided to stop just talking about it and actually get involved. I have a little extra time on my hands since I'm alone in this here garage for a few months.

So, I've started to converse with these morons. Interestingly, they're starting to disappear. It's amazing what happens when you challenge them. The key is to stick to one of just three questions to assure yourself that the person you're talking to is a fraud:

1. What is your AKO?
2. What unit are you in?
3. Send me a picture of you holding a sign with a heart around my name (for the ladies).

That first question is the kicker. I asked one guy to tell me his AKO and he sent me his first name. I asked him what that was and he said his user name. Ladies and gentlemen, that's not an AKO user name. The unit one is fun if you know anything about the military, but if you're not in the military do some research if he answers that. It's not hard to figure out if the unit he claims to be in is actually deployed (as most of the these scammers claim to be).

One such guy I've been messing with lately scams women by the name of "Jakson Adams," a Soldier who doesn't exist by the way. I traced his IP back to Africa and asked him about that.

Hello CJ,
I still defend my self and you don,t know anything about me. stop saying what you don,t know and don,t think you can put me to fear. I am who i am as i stated, and stop talking rubbish. You said i should,t contact the ladies again and i think you must come and get me rather than wasting your time over where you are. I reply this mail to you because i wanted you to come traced me.

Grammar is a major indicator of a scam. Very few Soldiers type as bad as EVERY SINGLE one of these scammers does. So, I asked two simple questions: What is your AKO and what do you do in the Army? His response? "I don,t have time for you." That was cut and paste by the way, comma and all. I explained to him that if he didn't answer these simple questions that the good "Jakson Adams" would be exposed as a fake. He didn't seem to care much.

Tell everyone that am fake. I don,t have time to prove my self to you. If i do what will i gain by wasting my time to prove who i am. I have a lot to do and please tell everyone that am fake because that is your job. try and contact [name deleted to protect victims] to send you my picture so you can past it at all the dating site including my name. i think that will make sense, don,t write to me anymore because i will not reply. i have giving you the go ahead and do what ever.

Well, "Jakson Adams" did provide some pictures that he most likely got from elsewhere on the internet. I'll publish those at the end of this post, but first my continued pressing into who this dude is.

You will just change your name to another fake Soldiers name. You just wasted more time not telling me what unit you are in. The picture you sent Trish is not you, it is a REAL Soldier. Someone worthy to wear the uniform. Someone who isn't a criminal panty waste who doesn't get scared from his own shadow like you are. Why is your email coming from Africa if you're an American? Can you explain that to me? That seems weird!! Oh wait, you AREN'T an American.

When you change names, I will find you again and post that name. You will change again and I will post it. I will continue to hound you because I now have your IP address and find you wherever you go! Maybe you should just start finding real ways to make money by actually working for a change. You can start by cleaning up elephant poop.

Hehe, I said elephant poop. He didn't like it, either.

You are a fool to tell me to start cleaning up elephant poop. I can see you don,t have anything better to do. Just write back to me and let me know the kind of job you will like to do. I said this because you are always on you computer doing nothing and i suggest you need a job. waiting

Well, you know me. I'm not one to leave a good scammer waiting. He has a lot of women to get to and no time to be waiting around on me.

Me: I'm in the army, unlike you.
"Jakson Adams": So you think i don,t know who is written to me? I do and just pretend i don,t know.
Me: Yeah, you're a great pretender. Like when you pretend to be a soldier.

For some reason, I haven't heard from him since. The same goes for "Christain Browning" that I was talking with for a LONG time on Yahoo Messenger who also "didn,t have time for me" when I continued to press for his AKO. He has oddly disappeared from Yahoo as well. Here are the photos of "Jakson Adams" being circulated among various women.

Now, "Jakson," if you're a real Soldier, I challenge you to leave a comment to this post and prove me wrong. I'd hold my breath, but I'm not ready to beat the crap out of Murtha's hellbound soul just yet.

Now as for the photos, a dead giveaway that they've been stolen from another person's blog or Facebook page is the size of the images. Typically, they won't be bigger than about 130kb, the size that most Facebook photos are edited to. If you the REAL Soldiers in these photos, please have them contact me.

The Company Commander and the First Sergeant were in the field. As they hit the sack for the night, the First Sergeant said, "Sir, look up into the sky and tell me what you see?"
The CO said, "I see millions of stars."

1st Sgt.: "And what does that tell you, sir?"

CO: "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Theologically, it tells me that God is great and that we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it tells me that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you, Top?"

1st Sgt.: "Well sir, it tells me that somebody stole our tent."

America is proud of those who have had the courage and made the sacrifices to serve in the United States Military. Unfortunately, as we know all too well, many veterans today still deal with mental and physical disorders as a result of their military service. These diseases range from mild to extreme and some are better known than others. One example of a lesser-known ailment that veterans encounter is related to toxic exposures. During the course of all United States conflict, and even in peacetime, military servicemen and women have often been exposed to harmful substances. One of the more common toxins that still affect veterans even today is asbestos.

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral with a stringy consistency. Even ancient civilizations found that asbestos possessed an exceptional capability to prevent temperature transfer and the capability to insulate. By the time WWII and the Vietnam War came around, asbestos was being used in thousands of manufacturing compounds. Among the more mainstream uses of asbestos was within military infrastructure. Asbestos was used in thousands of different products encountered every day by military servicemen and women. Asbestos could be found in naval ships and shipyards, aircraft constructions, and nearly any compound that required a resistance to heat and fire. Products such as attic and piping insulation, drywall compound, floor and ceiling tiles, air cell pipe covering, caulking, plastics, joint compound and even some brands of glue contained asbestos.

In the late 1970s, certified scientific evidence began to surface regarding the health hazards of asbestos exposure. Asbestos fibers are microscopic, but extremely resilient. When asbestos fibers are inhaled, they “cling” to internal tissue [known as the mesothelium] which surrounds the lungs and abdominal cavity. Over time, these fibers irritate the mesothelium, sometimes causing plaques to form on the surface of this tissue, which often causes respiratory and other problems. Even more harmful is that these plaques can eventually become malignant. It is at this point that an individual may receive a diagnosis of the rare and aggressive cancer mesothelioma.

Unfortunately, it was not until after many naval and other military personnel were exposed to asbestos that the truth of its potential danger surfaced. Symptoms of asbestos-related illness may not manifest for 20-50 years following exposure, making the symptoms difficult to relate to asbestos exposure, which likely occurred many years before.

If you or a loved one knowingly worked with asbestos, you should closely monitor your respiratory wellbeing and consult a medical doctor that is familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of asbestos-related diseases. Early detection of asbestos health disorders can help doctors in identifying the best possible mesothelioma treatment options for you.

In terms of mesothelioma cancer and the military, the rates of mesothelioma navy cases remain the highest, but veterans from all branches are at risk.

I got word this evening that Michael Patrick McManus was arrested this evening by the Houston FBI on charges related to the Stolen Valor Act. This is a huge victory for every single person who has served in the military. A big thanks goes out to ABC 13 in Houston for pushing this. Please visit their site for their full coverage.

People who claim to have served, especially those whom wear our awards for valor, are have a special place in hell waiting for them. McChinPubes not only claimed to be a general grade officer, he wore medals for valor and our honored injured. My stomach still churns every time I see a new comment our the two older posts.

Here's to a long prison sentance, a hefty fine, and other not so pleasant prison experiences.

This is addressed more for the female military members like Army Sergeant, but it is open to everyone to debate (WITH CIVILITY) in comments.

When you read something like this, do you feel that the female military members' position is championed? Do you feel that you are represented by these Senators? Do you feel that it adds or detracts from the mission and your public perception as a member of the military? Do you feel that it adds or detracts from the feminist push to equalize the rights of the sexes in the military?

I'm very interested in your thoughts on this issue. It kind of ties in to the order that Maj. Gen. Anthony Cucolo gave that females who get pregnant are open to charges and so are the men who get them in that condition.

What do you think about these causes being pushed within the military from outside forces?

As I sit here awaiting my turn to pee in a cup for the 100% company urinalysis, I started reading through some historical and inspirational documents. I was reminded of a letter that President Abraham Lincoln sent to Mrs. Bixby, a five time Gold Star Mom during the Civil War. Many of you have probably read this at some point in your lives, but if you havent I thought it appropriate considering the circumstances in which our country currently finds itself and wonder if there is a modern day Mrs. Bixby or Abraham Lincoln out there.

Executive Mansion, Washington, Nov.21, 1864.

Dear Madam,

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln

Many of us have seen the MSM misrepresent or not even report the good things that our military is doing in Iraq. We see TV shows and movies on the big and small screen that stand on either side of the issue. Some are very elaborate and in your face while others are more subtle. The latter was the case in last nights episode of CSI: Miami.

I don't always watch the show, sometimes I watch "Castle", so I didn't know that Cain's son had enlisted in the Army and been sent to Iraq. At the end of the episode they showed Cain signing into a video conference on his computer. The picture we see on the computer screen is Cain's son, in battle fatigues and in Iraq. There are the usual parent/child pleasantries and concerns passed from one to another. They could have ended the scene with that, but they didn't. They go on to have Cain's son talk about rebuilding the schools and how happy the kids are to have them.

It was a short statement, but for me, very emotional. (I actually had a tear well up in my eyes.) The eloquence and simplicity in which it was done was a thundering message to those that have been there and done that. Even if the rest of the world misses the message, and I don't think they can, at least those standing the line know that someone knows of the good they are doing and is making an effort to show it.

Bar-S Foods, makers of quality meat products including hot dogs, lunch meat, corn dogs, sausages and bacon has kicked off a social media campaign for 2010 centered around the utilization of social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Flickr and YouTube. An essential feature of the company's social media marketing campaign includes visits on Super Bowl Sunday to selected military bases to show support and rally Americans behind our troops. To thank the men and women in service in California, Colorado, Florida, and North Carolina, Bar-S will be sponsoring their Super Bowl events, while capturing footage and photos for consumers to view online with social media sites. For Super Bowl party goers, Bar-S will also be providing printable coupons during the week prior to the game on both social networking sites Twitter and Facebook — where fans can print a coupon worth $1 off two packages of Bar-S products.

The military bases participating:

Marine Corps Recruit Depot – San Diego, California Buckley Air Force Base – Aurora, Colorado. Naval Air Station – Pensacola, Florida. Fort Bragg US Army Base – Fayetteville, North Carolina.A major push of the Bar-S launch is an online community website, www.TheMeatLife.com]. This website is a destination for everyone from head of households looking for grilling tips and recipes to football tail-gaters looking for party tips, as well as funny, meaty videos. "This is our first large-scale social media campaign and we have received great responses from fans so far,"- Leslie Pellillo, Division Vice President, Marketing, Bar-S Foods.

Further integration of the social media campaign includes tapping into bloggers composed of heads of households, mommy bloggers, foodies, and recipe lovers. Throughout the year, the social media campaign will promote events, contests, coupons, giveaways and viral-videos that will encourage consumer interaction with Bar-S products. "The goal of this social media launch is to promote brand awareness and consumer engagement, as well as to integrate traditional marketing mechanisms with cutting-edge, interactive social media networks," – Leslie Pellillo, Division Vice President, Marketing, Bar-S Foods.

Bar-S Foods began operations in 1981, and is recognized as one of the ten largest privately held companies in Arizona, ranking among the top 40 largest meat-processing companies in the United States. They received the Rachel Ray Best Overall Frank Award for their beef franks, as well as the 2009 and 2010 Chef's Best Award for Best Bologna. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, and has annual sales of approximately $500 million.

Sleepy’s, the mattress retailer, is partnering with Give2TheTroops to give the men and women who serve our country a little piece of home. Beginning January 28, consumers who visit a Sleepy’s store and purchase a Tempur-Pedic pillow will automatically send a travel pillow to the troops overseas in a care package from the Give2TheTroops organization.

<img src="http://www.zenogroup.com/ComfortOurTroops.jpg" "border=0/>

To give troops a soft spot to rest their heads, Sleepy’s, the family-owned east coast mattress company, has developed a pillow donation program in partnership with Give2TheTroops, a non-profit organization which sends care packages to the military. Through a program called “Comfort Our Troops,” when consumers purchase any Tempur-Pedic pillow at one of Sleepy’s 700 retail locations between January 28 and February 28 Sleepy’s will send a travel pillow to troops overseas via care package from the Give2TheTroops organization. The pillows will be packaged with other “comforts of home” such as snacks and toiletries.

”Sleepy’s is proud to engage our community to support the men and women who serve our country through the ‘Comfort Our Troops’ program,” said Adam Blank, Chief Operating Officer at Sleepy’s. “We hope that when they lay their heads down, they are reminded how truly grateful we are for their service.”

“A cozy bed is one of the things that our soldiers miss the most while they are away,” said Andi Grant, President and Founder of Give2TheTroops. “The ‘Comfort Our Troops’ program is a great way for people to give our soldiers a little piece of home and help them sleep a little easier.”

To purchase a pillow in support of the “Comfort Our Troops” program, please visit one of Sleepy’s 700 retail locations beginning January 28. For information on the program, please visit Sleepys.com or give2thetroops.org.
