This is another response to my own post “Have Questions? So do I…”

So the question I have is how do we know if we are alive or not? Personally I think that being alive is experiencing the unpredictability of life. Life throws many things at you, weather it is something that forces you to change jobs, a sudden decision to cook or go out to eat, or a major event like a death in your close family / friends.

Alot of people would argue that being alive is the not the activities or things that happen to you, but the being able to feel, touch, move, or create / destroy material items.

To me this is just a bunch of electrical nerves reacting and our mind interpreting them. In a sense what I just described is more like dreaming then living. When you dream your mind creates the simulation of those nerves reacting so it seems like you are awake and performing the action being depicted.

In truth there is no way to tell if one is definitively alive or dead. From our own view, if death is like an everlasting dream, then the person that dies never even knows that they are dead. Just like when you are in a very good dream and you cant tell if you are really dreaming or if it’s real. I could be dead right now and this all be part of my dream. If that’s the case then when I wake up I will have a million dollars and everything else that I have ever wanted!

The average mind is actually fully capable of creating a world’s simulation. The beauty of a world simulation from one point of view is that the simulation only has to create the part of the world that the person in that point of view sees. For instance, if that person is in Hawaii, the simulation would only need to create the plan ride, island and place that they are staying, and the other people around. A simulation would not need to be running for russia and canada and anywhere else because it isn’t seen by the subject and therefor doesn’t matter. The reason I made this point is because some people do not believe that our minds have the capacity to create a never-ending dream world and those people are the ones that will also suggest that being alive is the electrical interpretations.

Personally, I don’t want to know if I am actually alive or not. I would rather be blissfully ignorant, at least for now will my thought processes mature to the point that my mind would be able to accept the harsh truth if I am not.

Please post comments so I know if I explained enough on this one.

I had a strange thought the other night while lying in bed. I thought to myself “what if people learn to ignore?” My answer is yes.

Nobody can deny that children are more susceptible to paranormal activity. Why are adults not?

I think that people learn to ignore a variety of different things as we grow older, one of them being paranormal activity.

Think about it this way: if you put a dollar on your kitchen counter, you notice it every time you walk by; after a while, you will walk by without noticing it at all, then a little while longer you forget its there all together. The only thing that changed was the amount of time that went by.

Now take paranormal activity: when you’re born and very young you start to notice things, but of course don’t remember them. As you grow you are still noticing or seeing things and starting to remember. Parents telling their kids that nothing is there along with trying to explain the occurrences with logical reasons cause the noticing of the paranormal to diminish. By the time a person is in their teens they don’t notice things at all and forget about it completely.

It may seem kind of confusing but I am unsure of how to word my explanation. People can learn to do anything, so why not learn to ignore? After all, isn’t ignorance bliss?

If people did not learn to ignore it, I would put money on it that almost everybody would take note of the paranormal.

The thought of anything paranormal usually makes a person scared. Why? Because all they see are movies about demons and evil spirits as well as so little knowledge about the paranormal. We know very, very little about it. Even when something is discovered, most people have ignored the paranormal for so long that they don’t believe it is real and still try to explain the happening with logical reasons. Therefore, very few discoveries stick even when there is no logical reason that can explain the occurrence that is being put forth as evidence.

However; even though most people ignore the paranormal world, it is gaining interest as people start to realize that not everything can be explained. More and more people are starting to view it differently since all the ghost shows have become popular. Hopefully this interest continues to rise so that we can learn what really goes on in the paranormal world as well as what spirits, entities, and demons are truly capable of. I think that we could learn so much from the dead, and I mean literally if we could talk to them.

What do you think about this?

The earth generates a magnetic field that never fails, stops working, or is disrupted by anything currently known to man. So why hasn’t anybody tried to harness this field on the ground level and turn it into energy useful in today’s society? They are afraid to. The few people that have probably thought about this thought the same end result that i have. The overuse of this technology, if developed, would ultimately kill the planet more-so then nuclear weapons ever could. If the magnetic field was harnessed to the point that it is terminally disrupted, the earth would burn to a crisp like popcorn left in a microwave too long. This would happen because the earth’s magnetic field protects it from outside radiation and microwaves that are constantly sent at us by the sun and virtually everywhere else in space (although on a much smaller scale).

This idea is theoretically possible, even though most scientists would disagree. Any time that there is a difference in anything (temperature, electricity, wind speed, radiation, magnetic fields, etc) there is a potential to create energy. If you look at a map of the magnetic field that is close to earth’s surface, you will see immediately that there are these differences. Even though they may be very slight, the thing to ask yourself is how much energy is flowing through that point? There is no way to truly understand how fast the energy flows through an area in magnetic form, only the overall level of that amount can be measured currently. How fast that energy is replenished is the key factor into how much energy could be utilized.

Did you know that a Sterling Engine can run off of any temperature difference even if its as small as one degree? Google it!

There could be the creation of an engine that runs off of magnetic energy just like there is one for temperature. But we have to ask ourselves – “Would it be worth killing the planet in the end? Would we be able to recreate the magnetic field if the disruption were to occur to save mankind?”

This is an idea that i have in my mind of how to do, but i will probably never build it, just because i know the end result. It is still fun to me to express the thought and get feedback on the idea in itself. One day i might build it, but i am not rushing it.

Any comments and opinions on this topic are more then welcomed. Do you think the would could restrain itself from the greed of monetary gains to keep this technology at a low enough level to not cause disruption? Why do you think one way or the other?

Have you ever been laying down in bed with the lights of and suddenly become frightened for no reason? Frightened so much that you had to run and turn on the nearest light? No noises, no shadows, just overwhelming fear?

It was probably a negative entity that your body was picking up on. The human body is very sensitive to entities and spirits even if your mind isn’t, even if you are a skeptic or notice the signs. Examples of the signs that an entity is around could be anything from feeling a static charge in the air that makes your hair stand up on end, sudden cold sensations (unless you are under an ac vent ), fear or panic, sudden emotions that did not come from within you (like deep sadness), or even an upset stomach or pain. It works the opposite ways with positive spirits, except all the feelings and signs would be positive, like feeling warmth and safety for example.

My main question is this:

Why did you run and turn on the light or even have the urge to? What was the result when you turned on the light? Did the feelings go away completely? If so, WHY?

I have a couple theories on this. The first, is that the result is caused by physical reasons, and the other is caused by psychological reasons.

For the physical reasons…

Light is emitted when photons (a positive energy) are stimulated by a light source, such as a light-bulb. When you stimulate an area with photons, it causes the balance of energy to change, thus overpowering the negative energy. If you have a very negative entity, like a demon, then lights will have little affect because of the massive amount of energy and power that those types of entities have. If its a weaker negative entity, then turning the lights on would have much more of an impact.

Also, turning on a light uses electricity. When you use electricity, it produces a slight emf (electro-magnetic field), which is the type of energy that supposedly makes up entities. If you suddenly put in a small emf near an entity, it could be enough to disturb the field generated by the entity.

For psychological reasons:

Turning on the light is more to people then being able to see. Beings the sun is the only reason we are able to live and is made up of pure light, people have a connection to light that cannot truly be measured. Every time a person has a light on around them, it gives them a positive feeling because of the connection to the sun. So if you are having negative feelings and you turn on the light and feel better, it could simply be a psychological affect.

Having light on around a person could make them feel safer because when humans were primitive, they were at their most vulnerable at night from predators. Over many generations people have it ingrained into them that it is not safe in the dark, so having the light on would make them feel safe.

Also, if someone finds comfort in light, then it could give them strength by having lights on around them. This strength could also ward off negative entities because they are afraid of positive energy since it is their opposite. It would take alot of spiritual energy to ward off a strong negative entity, trust me on this.

Now here’s where it gets interesting…

How does all of this work together? Does a physical act actually cause an affect or is it simply a psychological appearance that is caused the affect when it really did nothing? Did turning on the light cause the entity to be disturbed and vanish, or did it just make you FEEL like it did? Did the psychological affect of turning on the light give you the strength needed to overpower the negative energy? The questions could go on forever.

However, i think that all of these things work together perfectly. I think that in any situation it is irrelevant which cause has the ultimate affect, as long as the affect is a positive one. I have come to understand that some things will never be able to be understood, if that makes any sense. So basically i have stopped trying to figure out how this happens, but am trying to focus on why it needs to happen and how energy balance is affected or changed. That could give me insight on how the spiritual world is laid out. Knowing an approximate layout for the spiritual world could open an unlimited number of doors to understanding the other side.

I wrote about this to make people aware of what is going on when they have a situation like i described. knowledge is power, the more power a person has, the safer they are from weaker negative energies. The stronger ones take much more honed skills to ward off. I will post about that on a later date…

Any comments on this are welcomed!

Thanks for reading,

I have been working on getting another site up and running and its been really interesting for me.

I really like the layout of the site i just made, so i will changing over this site to it. It will not be a blog style site though. It will be forum style based. It is easier to use and has a more customizable structure so i will have the flexibility i have wanted for a while now. As much as i love wordpress, it’s just not what floats my boat.
I will probably be working on the new site layout today so if you see the site go down for a bit dont worry it will be coming back!

Note: Current posts will be copied over but the comments will not be. All other data will be lost in the changeover.

EDIT: I have decided not to change the layout on this site.

So, i know there have been a lot of people asking me when i am going to be posting again and i haven’t had an answer for them… but now i do. I will be doing my best to post once per week, if not more. I have been pretty tied up lately with so many things going on in my personal life.

Someone close to me is no longer here, now working a new job, and creating a site for a newly created gaming clan that i am part of… all of that with some time in there for my wonderful wife has led to no time to blog. However, now that things are seeming to slow down, or i am just getting used to it and using my time more wisely, i will be starting to post again. Since i have been creating a site for the gaming clan, and i am using wordpress on it as well, it made me think about this site and all of those that enjoyed reading what i post.

By the way i am surprised anyone wants to read what i have to post anyways so it has always been a bit of a shocker when people i have never met before comment on posts… its a good feeling though knowing that my post was worthy of somebody’s valuable time.

You can all look forward to seeing more posts from me!

I thank you for your patience and encouragement.

My mind always seems to come alive at night. I can go all day long without much thought, but not at night. When the sun goes down my mind starts winding up. I suddenly start having visions of different ideas, concepts, and questions. At any given point at night, my mind might be going over hundreds of thoughts. Most of the time I can’t even make out my own thoughts because of all the mess.

I used to have a ton of trouble with this. I couldn’t focus on a single task for more then a few minutes before I got bored with it. I could be working on a volcano project for school and then find myself thinking about how fast the world is spinning or something else completely off topic. Over the years, I have been able to string together what I call thought-paths. I have been able to discipline my mind into thinking about what I want it to, for the most part anyways. Or rather, thinking about things in a more organized manner. I have been able to link the transitions my mind goes through pretty effectively.

For example: I could be playing with the household dog and come across a “sticker” in her fur from the plants in the yard. I would start thinking about how she picked it up, probably playing in the yard. I then start trying to remember why I don’t remember seeing her play in that area of the yard that day. This leads me to start thinking about what I was doing around that time. I remember about that time I was looking up information on the computer. This lead me to think about my blog and things I needed to do, such as make a new post. I start thinking about the universe and people, when I think about black holes. When I think about black holes, it reminded me of the post I had made about some of my questions, thus reminding me that I should link whatever post I make about black holes to that post. Thinking about links made me think about link exchanges, and thus made me think of dmoz, and dmoz makes me think about google (google owns /operates dmoz). Thinking about google leads me to go over to my computer and check the adsense account to see if I made any money from my blog. In this example, I went from a sticker in the dogs fur to checking the adsense account in under a second. It’s kind of mind numbing isn’t it?

I have this happen thousands of times a day. This is the main reason I have such a strong sense of logic. I have been able to actually see a fraction of how my own mind works. Since I believe that the human mind is driving by logic, I can apply the fraction I have learned from my own mind to everything else. I can work things backwards well, and solve any problem I come across.

I also think that this is the reason I get bored with everyday tasks. They get to be so repetitive that I lose interest, and thus have a problem with motivation. I also think that this is the reason for my procrastination. If I wait until the last minute to do something, it is exciting to me to figure out how to get everything done in a short amount of time.

I think that with the proper method of thought, any person could figure out any question. The mind has to be completely open to the random thoughts our minds have to solve most major problems. This is why most “main-stream” idealists haven’t produced many new ideas. They have improved upon thousands, but they are not created anything actually new. For instance, the upcoming energy crisis in the United States. There are thousands upon thousands of ways to create cheap, abundant energy. The problem is that these “main-streamers” do not look at all the options with an open mind. They simply look at the same few time and time again. Using dams on rivers to produce electricity with turbines and pressure of the water, burning some kind of fuel, wind power, and solar power. All of these work to a degree. Dams flood a lot of area to make a lake big enough to produce the right pressure, burning creates tons of smoke, and depletes oxygen supplies, the other two do not affect the environment directly. I have had an idea that I have been tinkering with for quite some time. It is a magnetic-driven motor that does not require any kind of outside fuel source to run. This will be able to produce all the power we could ever need by the time I am finished with it. I hope to be done with it by the end of the year. I was working on it for several weeks daily, but have been so busy working and preparing for our wedding and move that I have not had any extra time to fiddle with it. The idea works in my mind and when I figure out how to manifest that idea correctly, I will have it completed. Which brings me back to my mind…

Just like that in this post, my mind started rambling about something seemingly irrelevant. If you look closely in this post you will be able to see the path my mind took.

Another part of my mind that seems to be a gift and a curse is my ability to visualize anything I think about. Every time I look at something I can see its internal structure working in my mind. For instance: when I put the key to my truck in the ignition and turn it, I see the electricity flow through the ignition assembly, down to the starter solenoid, from the solenoid to the starter, thus causing the starter gear to slide out and rotate, thus turning the engine over as the fuel system start to inject the gas and the valves start working and the first cylinder fires… I can see all this happening in my mind from one small little action. This happens with anything mechanical or electrically driven. Extremely vivid and accurately, these visions in my mind are not limited to anything.

Here recently, I have been able to apply this ability with my sense of logic on several different topics. With these two abilities becoming stronger every day, all it will take is one more ability and I will be able to think my way through anything (or so I believe). I believe in “trinities,” or sets of three. Three sides to a coin, three points of the triangle, etc. I am using all the questions in my Have Questions? So Do I.. post to work on strengthening these abilities and trying to find the third side to my coin.

I think that I covered most of this, hope you enjoyed the strange glimpse of the way my mind works…

It sure seems stranger every day… But it just might keep you entertained!

So Do I..." href="http://www.aspidercaughtintheweb.com/mind-bending/have-questions-so-do-i" target="_blank">Have Questions? So Do I…

When I look at this question, only one word comes to mind. Everything.

If a black hole in the universe is said to compact and destroy everything that it pulls in, then its opposite would be everything that is still there. I do not know much about black holes, but what I do believe is that they have an extreme amount of gravity. It has so much gravity that it actually traps light rays, thus giving them the name “black hole.”

Obviously, nobody has been in or even close to one; so, everything right now is just theory. Something I have never heard anybody talking about is black holes growing in size over time. If it is not growing, then where does everything go that gets “sucked in?”

I picture the black holes to be much like a toilet. When you push the lever, the water (and whatever else) disappears. The size of the toilet doesn’t change, but you cannot see where everything goes. I think that black holes are actually much like this, only with a lot more stuff. Where it goes I do not know, but it seems like it would be an interesting ride!

I am currently reading information on black holes, string theory, superstring theory, and M theory. When I get more information I will update this post.

I guess there wasn’t really much I could talk about on this one. The opposite of a negative is a positive. The opposite of nothing is everything. If a black hole is a symbol for nothing, then everything is the opposite.

One question I am curious about is what a black hole actually does. Not how it works, or what happens inside or around one, but its function in the universe. Does is transport everything here to another place or time? Or does it compact everything until it breaks down into nothing? Or does it do something else entirely. I personally think that something else entirely will end up being the correct answer… I have no idea what, but the first two seem way too obvious for me.

I think I just caused myself more questions then answers!

Oh well… Thanks for reading!

So Do I…

The question is “What are we (humans)?”

In my opinion humans are nothing more then extremely sophisticated computer systems.

I have several reasons for me to believe this as a possibility. First of which, is based on my understanding of how the brain works. My next reason is based on what I know know about computer systems. Lastly, I base this as an idea that makes logical sense. This is not on explanation of why we are here, how we came to be, or any other question of that type. Simply, what we are.

In my understanding of the human body, the brain receives, interprets, and sends electronic signals through the nervous system to basically control everything about us. These signals tell our lungs when to breathe, our feet to move when walking, and when our hearts should race. The brain receives trillions of signals every day, and uses the information it received to dictate everything else. For example: You are out in the sun in the middle of summer and after a few minutes you start to sweat. The mind has received signals that your skin was too hot, or your blood temperature began to rise and thus initiated a method of cooling to try and restore the proper temperature. It reacted much like the household thermostats do: picked up a variance and then took action to correct it. Only with the human body, there are too many sensors sending signals to count, and different methods of cooling that the mind must choose from as to best fix the problem.

The basic computer has several components: the processor (brain), motherboard (nervous system/nerves), inputs, and outputs. When someone gets onto a computer, they use an input device (like a mouse) to start up a program (like a web browser). When that person double clicks that program, the signal is sent through the input to the motherboard, through the motherboard to the processor, and the result is then routed back through the motherboard to an output (like a monitor). In short, the computer received a signal, interpreted that signal, then sent a return signal. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Everyone knows the kinds of things that computer can do when they are pushed to their full potential.

My logic behind this is kind of cloudy even to me but I will try to put it into writing.

There are so many similarities between humans and computers that if you had a powerful enough computer, I think that they would have the same kind of stats (if they could be evenly measured). Something that floats in my mind is that people have designed computers; and sub-consciously, we designed them to be like us because that is all we know. Is it all that surprising that the human body and a computer system are so similar? Or does that just make sense? The only thing that I am confused about is the full potential of the sub-conscious mind. Will there ever be a way to test and find out the capabilities of it? Or would it be something that we would not want to know?

Basically, we are nothing more then highly advanced computers with unmeasurable power. A household computer processor works with “0 & 1 (on & off)” and the human brain works with “Yes, No, & Maybe.”

This is my opinion only and if you have any questions, or “tid-bits” that you would like to put into this topic, leave a comment.
