With the New Year comes resolution, and ours was to trade in our old played out tunes for some new ones. For help, we asked a few of our favorite kids from the brands we carry what they’ve been bobbin’ their heads to. Now our iTunes is overflowing with rad jams and yours can too.

UNIT:

Australian moto brand Unit is blowing up faster than Lady Gaga, thanks in part to two super controversial campaigns; the Australian Advertising board even banned their “fruitloops” ads. Unit will be exclusively launched into the U.S. by PacSun this year.

VANS:

2010 means more Vans than ever at PacSun. No color, fabric, or style will be spared in Vans’ onslaught of PacSun’s shoe wall. 200 stores will feature 14 men’s skus in Spring.

WESC HEADPHONES:

WeSC has covered your DJ bases (and basses) with the new PacSun exclusive Conga headphones. They’ll initially come in 6 different colors for Spring and expand to 10 for Summer. Kick out the jams!

VOLCOM SANDALS:

Throw those plain jane flip flops away. Metal and glitter’s where it’s at. We’re diggin’ rivets, studs, spikes, glitzy glitter and any other embellishments we can add to our leather sandals. O’Neill, Roxy, Reef, and Volcom (pictured) are providing the fancy footwork for Spring.

BULLHEAD JEAN:

Spring’s all about acid wash and destructed skinny denim, along with the new boyfriend jeans for the girls.

REBELUTIONARY STATE OF MIND:

PacSun just launched tee shirt brand Rebelutionary State of Mind. The brand uses awesome prints that go way beyond the shirt; they even design the packaging to give you a tee that looks good in or out of the box.

BLACK POPPY:

Ever wished that one of your school obligations was to hang out with the skaters and founders of Element? Wish no more… Element’s been quietly taking over school curriculums for some time with seminars and tours. Now they’ve launched a website solely dedicated to their involvement with schools.

Element’s This is my Element gives students a hands on introduction to business, as well as a nice motivational speech. Element founder Johnny Schillereff says, “A big part of my motivation to create Element was given to me by a speaker at my high school during some challenging times in my life, so it’s become important to me to encourage the youth in the same way. We’ve taken a positive and active role mentoring the youth for many years now and know first hand that it makes an incredible difference.”

The only way school could be better is if we went to Rock n’ Roll High School. Sadly, that film was made in the 70s, the Ramones are almost all dead now, and the California bureaucrats won’t even allow us to buy soda at school, let alone rock out to our hearts’ desires. Oh well, Element’s surely the next best thing, and we’d be willing to go through the torments of high school bullying all over again just for a chance to take one of these seminars. Bring on the swirlies and noogies!

SHORTS:

We hope your New Year’s resolution was to start wearing slim denim shorts more often. If not, that’s fine, it’s never too late to start. Shorts rule for warmer weather, and girls can dress them up with leggings to add some pop.

No longer will squeezing be the sole property of the ketchup packet. Move over squeeze, make room for dip. The new packet’s like a combination of a bbq or ranch container and a ketchup packet.
