I decorated the tree with the kids last week. It wasn't without incident though. I nearly poked my eye out when assembling the tree together. But that's a story for another time. I've always loved decorating the Christmas tree and still do. My girl started off the decorating this year and we all finished off the tree when my oldest came home from school.

Fairy Princess, The Destroyer

I made a felt crown for my beautiful princess this morning. Knowing she would probably destroy it by the end of the day. I took a few pics of her wearing it. The lovely crown unfortunately didn't even make it until evening. About an hour later, she had pulled apart the little embroidery design on the front. Oh, well... Note to self, don't bother embellishing anything, until she gets older.

Little Guy Stands Up

So my little 9 month old is now able to stand up on his own. It's wonderful to see how proud and happy even a baby gets at its own accomplishments. As for me, although it's my 3thd munchkin, it never get tiresome to watch them achieve major milestones. I think he will be walking by Christmas...

I'm one of those people that prefers cooler weather to the oppressively hot and humid weather of summer. I get physically ill during the heat waves that we get here in Montreal. Autumn is my season, possibly because I was born during this season. I love the clothing, being able to wear cute scarfes, hats and gloves. And of course all those cute choices in coats. Most of all I love the crisp air and the changing colors of leaves. Going for a long stroll with my camera in toe is always a favorite activity. Then going back home, having a hot coffee and eating pastries while editing all the photos captured on that walk is a perfect way to end the day.

Happy week-end!

I had a little time to take some nature related pictures. I should say I made the time. I really miss going for nature walks alone with my camera. It's one of those things I need to make the time for, even if there are a million things on my to do list, and the kids are screaming for mommy. Especially, if the kids are screaming for mommy!

Both images have been added to the shop as 8x8 prints.

Mini Session With My Munchkin

I set up a quick photo session with my youngest to takes pictures for his baptism invitations. This is the result. I selected the first one for the invitations. It is a happy occasion after all, so a smiling photo is probably best. Although I have to say, I adore the expression on his face in the second photo.

September is just around the corner. Nights are getting fresher. Fall is my favorite season. It's the cooler air, the color change in the leaves. It's also the cozy feel of a warm sweater. Fall is when I start thinking about knitting projects too. But there are so many other cool things to make with yarn. A few quick and simple projects caught my attention online. If I get the time, I will be trying one or two of these.
