Whether local or national, I approach every opportunity as an opportunity to prepare for whats to come. As I reflect on the vision and review the ground covered in 2012, I see great progression. Knowing that it is not by my own doings, but of the those by my Heavenly Father. This is nowhere close to a finished product, and neither are we, but confirmation of the path chosen is looking brighter than ever as we approach the 2013 check point.

What an amazing turnout at last months skills clinic in San Antonio. We are geared up, ready, and pumped for November! EventFULL Week

Last week was a busy blessing! I was granted the opportunity to speak/fellowship at 3 schools and 1 community event. I went into the week really not knowing what I would share... Then at the last minute(literally), The Lord placed it upon me to focus on the importance and value of being a true servant. For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve others. We must model ourselves and adopt the selfless lifestyle that Christ modeled on a daily. Putting others before himself, and showcasing the love of His father in Heaven.
Huge shout out to Theo Home-School Network, McKinney Boyd High, Cockrill Middle, and the Trenton, Tx Community.

Just when I thought I was done... I somehow ended up back on the court this summer, playing in a pro basketball tournament. That tourney then led to me making a verbal commitment to play with the North Dallas ABA team for this upcoming season. Its funny how I seem to just fall into things! My feelings on the game from a players perspective has most definitely change, but the positive aspect is that my daughter along with the kids in my skills academy can watch me play. Open try-outs will take place October 27th, and the season will tip-off in November. Home games will be held at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco...Visit the website for more detailed info. I received the pleasure of speaking at the United Youth Group's See you at the Party night on Wednesday. This event was a celebration of what had taken place earlier that morning across the campuses of several Middle and High Schools...PUBLIC SCHOOLS! Throughout McKinney, Tx, students gathered around the flag pole and prayed in the name of Jesus. We are taking about PUBLIC SCHOOLS here... Maybe I am overreacting, but that is POWERFUL! These are students who have taken the initiative to make a statement on their campuses. It was placed in my heart to deliver a challenge to all the students whom were in attendance to be farmer's and begin to plant seeds of LOVE that will lead their fellow classmates to the Kingdom. To be patience with those whom may continuously fall for the tricks of the adversary. Most importantly, holding one another accountable cleaving to only what is good. The Lord amazes me with His ability to use someone so inadequate for His Glory... I am as lame as they come, but I am grateful to have the spirit of Christ steering me. Let your LIGHT shine! XrossOver San Antonio Clinic #2

Last weekend, we hosted our 2nd monthly annual clinic in San Antonio. Bringing this tool to San Anton was mandatory, it being the home of my Alma Mater and the place that God used to transform my life. This was an experience to say the least... every aspect of it was inspiring and BLESSED! These 15 athletes were gettin' it from beginning to end. The atmosphere was one of high energy and intensity which set the table for everyone to improve... including us as trainers. We caught ourselves in aw during the few breaks they received, stating that the spirit was in the building. Who ever would have thought that you could experience the presence of the Holy Spirit during a basketball training session! Thank you Lord... preparation for October starts now! S/O to Mark at the Factory of Champions for the awesome hospitality.

These 4 musical pieces are on HEAVY rotation... 1) KB: Weight & Glory... This is Christian artist KB's first studio project, and let me tell you DUDE WENT IN! Weight & Glory definitely carries tons of variety from sound to content. Track #3 weighs about 300! 2) Derek Minor: PSA Vol.3: Who is Derek Minor... This is a trilogy mixtape that has only gotten better since vol 1. Derek Minor, formerly known as PRo, is a straight BEAST! He's one of those artist that causes you to make the ugly flown face when he spits...his lyrics are just that mean. It was a battle between a couple of tracks, but I went with track #10 featuring Lecrae(whom we will get more into later). 3) Dwele: Greater Than One... Dwe is a creative genius from the motor city. He has a keen ear for that sound...that simple sound that just sets it off. The thing I enjoy most about listening to his music, is his ability to merge the tracks together. So Soulful...listen and you will agree. It was another tough decision, but I am gonna roll with the finale track that closes the album...track #13 4)Lecrae: Gravity... This is it! This is the #1 itunes album, and it rightful deserves every bit of it. This highly anticipated project is just explosive... I really am speechless...God is blessing! This selection was a no-brainer. Allen Means Business

This past Friday, the fam and I attended the local opening high school football match featuring two heavy hitting programs. Allen High School, whom are the 2008 5A State Champs and SouthLake whom are the reigning 2011 State Champs. Not only did the teams themselves make the game a must see, but the introducing of Allen High's brand spanking new 60 million dollar stadium... And if you didn't catch it the first time it's for high school football. Texas means business when it comes to their football, regardless of what age. I remember refereeing a Ymca flag football game a couple summers back, and the atmosphere was so intense, as if all the big time universities had a scout in the stands.

The process for my pops to get his hands on the tickets was off the wall as well. He had to first sign up to become a season ticket holder, get his name drawn from a raffle, and then pay for the tickets. I thought raffles were used for prizes, not for an opportunity for purchase.

The stadium was flawless to say the least, but the game was a disappointment. Allen dusted them off fairly easy. I can imagine that bar being raised performing in a 1 of a kind high school stadium in front of 18,000+. It's gonna be difficult for any small universities to win them with a stadium tour.

Its simple to put in work when you are comfortable, but what happens when you are thrown into a state of being uncomfortable? Are you still willing to give it all you got when the elements are working against you??? We challenged my athletes this summer at camp, and they willingly answered the call... NO SACRIFICE, NO VICTORY!!! Thank you to all of our supporters, athletes, their parents. Without you this event would not have taken place. Thank you to my beautiful bride Natasha, for without you this organization would not be at level that it is. Most importantly, thank you to my heavenly father who has entrusted me with the vision that will be fulfilled and will come to pass. About a month and some change ago, my family and I were traveling back from San Antonio where we had an outstanding weekend. Shortly after we departed, we endured a terrifying accident that could have ended tragically. By the grace of Holy Father, whom is our almighty source of protection, we all walked away ok.
Lord I thank you for life, I cherish it all the more, and will use every ounce of it in complete reverence and honor to YOU!!!

My former college teammate and brother from another, Isaiah, hit the stage for his sophomore performance on Easter Sunday. Isaiah is a passionate servant of the Lord, and uses music as a way to promote Christ to the masses. Talking to Isaiah after his performance, He states that he's not on stage to entertain...and he's not rapping to fill you with mere music. His job is to showcase Christ and HIS love, getting you more excited about learning and living the word! My heart is pounding hard for the glory of God... and to see my brother being used by the spirit made it even heavier. Check it out.

Today we launched our skills and development pick-up games @ the Douglass Community Center in Plano,TX. This aspect of our program will give our students something tangible to prepare for as we approach the summer basketball season. These games will encourage the athletes to implement the training they have received in a high tempo and high competitive environment. It will also challenge the athletes to approach our skills sessions with more focus. It's very rewarding to see the immense improvement and teachings being displayed in action. This tool also provides us with a guide on the areas of improvement for each individual. These training aids will be highly beneficial for us as trainers, for the betterment of our athletes, and brand moving forward. We appreciate all the parents and players whom participated...and a special thanks to Mrs. Baker for her generous snack and beverage donation. Next run will be on Sunday May 6th @ 3pm.

What makes this project so uncommon, is that it features a cluster of the elect christian hip-hop artists; 116 Clique...providing a soundtrack to this mini motion picture; Man Up. The music is fire and the film real! Highlighting the struggles that we as men go through on a daily. The huge downfall with this piece is that its entirely to short. The CD is only 7 tracks...all bangers though, and the DVD is roughly an hour long including the featured commentary. Its one of those things where just as it gets heavy...its over! All in all, awesome creative package and good product for the soul.

All I can say is... THIS IS A MUST HAVE ALBUM! From track 1 to 15, Trip hits you with thought provoking bars over killer beats on what living "THE GOOD LIFE" really looks like. See the world thinks they are slick by painting the picture with meaningless possessions and filthy lust... leading many to go astray and never tapping into the GOOD that God has to offer us. Trip does it on this project. After hearing his single "I'm Good", which released a month or so ago. I knew God had elevated his artistry and broadened his vision! God pick this up like right now... It was so difficult for me to choose just 1 song to post...but this track gave me the chills...FANTASY!
