Orkut rolled out Android application for orkut users

Here some good news for orkut lovers and Android users, orkut rolled out an Android application for orkut users. This orkut android application allows orkut users to interact with friends by adding main options in that application itself. The options which includes in android applications are scrap notifications, direct photo uploads to your orkut albums, and a phonebook synced to your orkut friends' phone numbers and status messages.

Download Orkut app for Android:

To install the orkut for Android application visit Android Market from your Android device and search for "orkut" under the social applications category. You can also directly scan the QR code below to install it.

Note: This application is available only for Android devices running version 1.6 or higher.

Adding Google Buzz button to blogger blog

Google recently launched "Google Buzz" in Gmail which enables us to connect with people and we can share whatever we like through Google Buzz, which is available in Gmail. After launching Google Buzz, most of the Tech blogs and well-known blogs start adding Google Buzz button to their blog to share their blog post easily through Google buzz button.

For Wordpress user they can easily add Google buzz button through some plugin. I think some plugins already available to add Google buzz button to wordpress users (I am not sure about it). For blogger blogs it is not like that, we need to manually add some bit of html code to our template. If you're not aware of how to add buzz button to Blogspot blogs, then here is a post that helps you to add Google Buzz button to your blogger blogs.

Steps to add Google Buzz button to Blogger Blogs:

Login to your blogger blog
Navigate to Layout --> Edit html
Check Expand Widget Templates and search for the below code

After finding the above code add presented below code right below the above code.

The html code is not displaying correctly in blogspot blog so, I uploaded to box.net server you can download the code here.

Now change my blog URL i.e http://atechblogger.blogspot.com/ to your blog URL. That's it, now your blog also start showing Google buzz button.

Opera 10.50 beta now ready to use

Opera today launches opera 10.50 beta web browser with some newly added feature. This opera browser is currently available for windows user. As I already told they have now added some new feature to their browser, some features looks, they steal ideas from Firefox browser because in Firefox browser recently added new feature called "Private Browsing" which enables user to browse the web without leaving any trace in their system.

In the same manner Opera is also added this feature to their new launched browser opera 10.50 beta by the name "Private Browsing" same as we seen in the Firefox browser. It also do the same task as we seen in the Firefox browser. In addition to this they have also added few more features they are as follows..

Where's the safety mode in youtube?

Google launched safety mode for youtube users, but where it is? I am not getting any safety mode in youtube. Wheather it is based on Geo targeting? If so, they have not mentioned anything about this in their official announcement. In my opinion it's not based on Geo targeting and it is available for all the youtube users. I checked the "Safety mode" option as soon as the official blog posted on safety mode for youtube, but when I visit youtube their no such option and I waited for more than 4hrs after the annoucement, but no use at all. I haven't see any "safety mode" option in youtube.

This is the full screen shot of the youtube website taken at 1:19Am the next early morning of the announcement. You can see the announcement in the Right side what I have marked in Red rectangle and below the youtube site (footer section) where the safety mode option is available to activate, but in my case this option is not visible. I don't know the proper reason maybe they may not yet full launched.

Google is developing a mobile software to translate language!

Google an Internet giant now concentrating in mobile fields, Google recently launched a mobile handset named “Nexus one” and now they are ready to move further step by developing a mobile translation software. This translation software helps to translate language instantly to the other languages as they like.

This mobile software is building on the technology what they are using in text translation. Language translation software may be ready for use within a couple of years according to Times Online report. If the Google succeed in this project, then it can have an ability to transform 6,000-plus languages!. This means we can easily communicate around the world without the language fear. If it comes to market, then it may be a big news.

Google has already developed a vice recognition system that enables the phone users to conduct search by the voice itself, instead of typing. We can be found similar system in our Nokia phones too.

Google’s head of translation services, Franz Och said:

We think speech-to-speech translation should be possible and work reasonably well in a few years’ time.

Clearly, for it to work smoothly, you need a combination of high-accuracy machine translation and high-accuracy voice recognition, and that’s what we’re working on. If you look at the progress in machine translation and corresponding advances in voice recognition, there has been huge progress recently.
