BatteryTimer shows remaining battery time to complete discharge. It can be installed on any S60 3rd device with 320×240 and 240×320 pixels screen resolutions while offering the control of operating time remaining to complete discharge, providing the estimated future date&time of the battery being completely discharged and presenting how long the battery holds its charge on average.

The iON provides data in three ways – the main application, the standby plug-in and dedicated power saver.

During the installation you will be prompted for accepting required installation on your device memory not an additional card (uses small amount of memory, about 150kb). It also needs background ‘Core’ process which must starts automatically each boot time and utilizes device CPU in less than 1% once per minute.

It takes a while for iON to provide first estimation after installation or reset (if there is a small battery usage it could take even a few days). In that case the application shows ‘calculation in progress’ instead of estimated values. The most accurate readings will be after 3-5 full charge/discharge cycles. So please be patient.

Then if I want to send a reply I have to type the entire SMS via T9 Mobile Dictionary on or for some of you who does not use T9,I can imagine you clicking each button four or five times to get a single word!!!

For security reason, the application can only be auto-started at the machine boot-up. Once the application is installed, a user cannot find it anywhere in the “My Own” or “Installed” folders. The main reason for this is that it prevents the phone-picker from un-installing the application and/or finding the existence of the application on the phone if the phone is lost. In order to enter the application, a user has to “dial” a password (which is defined by the application) plus a “#” character in the active idle screen. The default password is “123456, which means, if a user wants to enter the application, the user needs to input the following character sequence in the active idle screen (like the way a user gets the IMEI number): 123456#

Once the user has entered the application, the user has the freedom to change the password to any other ones (which consists of numeric numbers from “0? to “9?). Then length of the password should be no less than 6, and the maximum length is 10.

NOTE: Since it only accepts keys when “Phone” application is in the foreground (idle screen), it is strongly recommended pressing any of the keys to bring up the dialog for inputting phone number first, then key in the password. The following key input sequence is accepted:
1123456# or
1223123456#
if the password is “123456, Only the last few digits are compared with the saved password in the application.

If you ever come to a point when you need to hard format your phone or maybe upgrade to a new firmware, I'm sure definately would like to save the current settings of your phone. So this is what you should do;

How to backup phone settings to MMC.

Menu>Extras>Memory>Options>Backup phone mem.

Once the formatting or upgrading is done, you can then restore back the settings by doing;

Restoring settings after phone format.

Menu>Extras>Memory>Options>Restore from card.
