A quick glance at this vehicle and one would think it was a regular stock 350z. Under the hood of JW’s 2004 350z lies a Vortech Supercharger, Nismo R-Tune 350z Headers, and Nismo S-Tune Catback Exhaust. To help put the power down to the ground we went with the Competition Clutch Stage 4 sprung clutch assembly with the Competition Clutch 14lb flywheel. Once the clutch receives 500 miles for the break-in procedure, this set-up will be hitting the dyno for base numbers. We are predicting around 350whp-375whp before tuning is performed.

Layton’s RSX makes great power on a stock K20a2 engine with the Jackson Racing supercharger and AEM Methanol Injection. The 300whp/205tq that this set-up made finally roasted the stock clutch so we upgraded to the Competition Stage 4 Sprung Clutch and lightweight flywheel. With the addition of a better tensioner pulley this set-up is running stronger than before.

The last dyno tune that was performed on this car was back in January, which led to 300whp/205tq at a fluctuating 10-11psi on methanol injection. The temperature were 70 degree’s and 10% humidity which yielded roughly 78 degree IAT’s. With the addition of the clutch, lightweight flywheel, and tensioner, the engine finally held a steady boost pressure of 11.5psi and made 295whp/201tq in 102 degree weather with 42% humidity and 100-110 degree IAT’s. We believe in ideal conditions as we had in January this set-up would be around the 315-320whp marker which is very impressive for a Jackson Racing supercharger on a stock K20a2.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Dyno Day!

From simple stock set-ups making 160whp all the way to sleeper Turbo GMC trucks making 620whp… the dyno day was a huge success & a lot fun for everybody! The weather was beautiful despite it being 102 degrees and we had roughly 60-75 cars show up and had 20 cars hit the dyno. Special thanks go out to Jason F. who took care of the food & beverages, our staff who helped out (John, Creighton, Will, & Luke), and everybody that came out to support us.

We are currently working on the HD video’s and hope to have them on the site very soon. Please keep checking back for updates!

JS’s ’97 GST has very basic upgrades. A front mount intercooler, manual boost controller, and upgraded 16g turbo. Tuned via ECM Link (DSM Link) we manged to go from 191whp/170tq at 6psi to 240whp/237tq with tuning and 11psi. The wastegate on this set-up is very weak as you can see from the fluctuations on the dyno chart. With the addition of a stronger internal wastegate and additional tuning this set-up should be able to make around 280-300whp safely.
