First Christmas Commercial of the Season!

Hello fellow Vintage Christmas fans!

I'm really hoping to jumpstart this blog and get more readers and likes on my Facebook page! So, on October 3rd I saw my first Christmas commercial of the season. It was for the Kansas Lottery...a commercial they used last year actually. The Christmas side of me was thrilled thinking about the warm, cozy holidays to come. The Halloween side of me was screaming "NOOOOO!!! It's not even HALLOWEEN yet!!!" I then became a bit distraught realizing I haven't made one Christmas present purchase yet. Not one! So thanks Kansas Lottery for making me feel like a complete blockhead. I suppose I should do some shopping soon...

So, I guess this could lead to a great discussion! When is it too soon to start advertising for Christmas? Heck, there are Christmas in July sales and some craft stores keep their Christmas merchandise up all year long! That leads to another question: when do you start shopping for Christmas presents? Are you the type that finds gifts all year long, or do you wait and buy it all at once? Do you wait until the last minute to buy your gifts? I usually try to have my shopping done before the end of November. Let me know your thoughts...when is it too soon to start advertising for Christmas and when do you start your Christmas shopping? I'd love to hear from you!

I haven't even visited this blog all year. Lots of things have happened over the past year and I've really been focusing on my Halloween blog. Would love to spend more time here as well though as I find myself daydreaming of all the vintage Christmas ideas and postcards and ornaments etc... Christmas Time Is Here Again!

Hello everyone!

I hope this post finds you healthy and happy! Do you have your Christmas shopping done yet? I'm proud to say that I finished the last of mine on Friday! I started much later than I like to, but I went on vacation right after Thanksgiving, so that put me off schedule! I had a great vacation...my husband and I took a road trip to Michigan to visit some of my family. What a wonderful time we had!

I had hoped to post more on this blog before Christmas, but like everyone else I know, Christmas somehow creeped up on me this year! I have tons of ideas to post about though, so that will give me some posting projects for next year! I'm super excited to get this blog into working order and I hope you will continue to enjoy reading! Please share the blog with your family and friends! I would love to do guest posts as well. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory? Type up a post and send it to me...I'll feature it! :)

Welcome to A Vintage Christmas!

Hello everyone!

I want to welcome you to my new blog! I have always loved Christmas and the feeling of coziness and love of family that comes along with it! Now that I'm older, I have fallen in love with the vintage style of Christmas. The old postcards, ornaments, trees, etc...! I always found them to be really neat as a kid, but have a stronger appreciation for them now! So, in this blog I want to focus on the vintage side of Christmas, but I'm sure I'll be blogging about every aspect of Christmas before long! lol! :)
