Two of Bhanu Kapil's book were published by Berkeley's Kelsey Street Press: The Vertical Interrogation of Strangers (2001) and humaninal [a project for future children] (2009). Other works are: Incubation: a space for monsters (Leon Works, 2006), Schizophrene (Nightboat, 2011) and BAN (forthcoming: Nightboat, 2014.) Bhanu Kapil teaches through the monster, memory and experimental prose [performance] at Naropa University, in the year-round BA, MFA, as well as the Summer Writing Program; she also teaches part-time at Goddard College. In 2012, she was a delegate to the World Conference of Cultural Psychiatry at Queen Mary's College, London, where she gave a talk on resilience factors and narrative in [for] [with] non-white clinical populations.

Melissa Buzzeo is the author of  a forthcoming book from Nightboat in 2014—a seawreck-in-language which investigates impoverished speech and the concept of debris: a waste economy, changing as well as For Want and Sound (Les Figues, 2013), Face (Bookthug, 2009) and What Began Us (Leon Works, 2007). She teaches creative writing and architecture at Pratt Institute and lives in Brooklyn.

Anne Boyer's works include Anne Boyer's Good Apocalypse, The 2000's, My Common Heart, The Romance of Happy Workers and a forthcoming novel, Joan. Her latest work, A Form of Sabotage, was recently released in translation by the Turkish collective Kült Neşriyat. She is an Assistant Professor of the Liberal Arts at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Jackqueline Frost was born and raised in the Deep South, and now lives in Oakland, California. Her first full-length book, The Antidote, is forthcoming from Compline. Her poetry and essays have appeared, or are forthcoming in Rethinking Marxism, Lana Turner, The Death and Life of American Cities, Poetic Labor Project, What is Called Violence, Queer City, and LIES: a journal of materialist feminism. She works as an oyster-shucker and a research assistant in antique literatures.

Robert Duncan (January 7, 1919 – February 3, 1988) was an American poet and a devotee of H.D. and the Western esoteric tradition who spent most of his career in and around San Francisco. Though associated with any number of literary traditions and schools, Duncan is often identified with the poets of the New American Poetry and Black Mountain College. Duncan's mature work emerged in the 1950s in the literary context of Beat culture. Duncan was a key figure in the San Francisco Renaissance.

Jasper Bernes is the author of a book of poems, Starsdown (ingirum, 2007) and two small chapbooks, Desequencer (Taxt, 2009) and We Are Nothing and So Can You (Tenured Ninja, 2012). After spending many wonderful years in the Bay Area, he now lives in North Carolina, where he is a postdoctoral fellow in the Literature Program at Duke University. Recent poems of his have appeared in The Capilano Review, The American Reader and Everyday Genius.
