I remember the days when just about everything I thought about had something to do with my blog. I always wanted to make it prettier, have more followers and cooler products to review and giveaway. Nowadays I might make a post once in a blue moon on some boring Friday night like tonight. I miss feeling like "I'm in the loop" in the bloggy world. I'm know soooo much has changed since I was really into it a few years back and it makes my head spin trying to comprehend it all. As for me, I try and stay as busy as possible as often as possible.

I absolutely LOVE my life as a military wife. We live on base and there are so many things here to do. I have become a Zumba queen! I go to class usually 3 to 4 times a week (for FREE!) and I am able to bring Taylor with me. I get in a fabulous workout with some awesome ladies and Tay gets to socialize with her little buddies. It's a win win for everyone! We also love to spend time at the pool whenever possible (thank you Hawaii weather!). There are parks on just about every corner and of course the beach and ocean. I am so HAPPY here! I don't think I'll ever love another base as much as I love this place. We definetly got spoiled by coming here first. Can ya'll understand why the blog has fallen away? lol.

My newest venture as of late is becoming a brand spankin' new Scentsy consultant. I absolutely adore my "job". So far I've had one party with a good friend here and I'll be closing it up tomorrow. I'm super excited that she gets freebies and that i make a little bit of cash! Yay! So my monkey and I flew into Cincy a little over a month ago for a wedding I was in and we've been staying with my parents. I love visiting here wth my family and friends...I really do but ohmygosh do I miss my husband! and Tay misses her daddy. Its hard being away from him when he's at home and not deployed. We definetly didn't have extra cash to blow on commercial plane tickets so Tay and I flew military here. They arn't the most comfortable planes but they're FREE! Sometimes its just hard to make it on them because I'm a low priority traveler. We're trying to get back to Hawaii as soon as possible so when a flight is leaving the base nearby here and heading to where I need to go I hope I'll be on it! I miss my life back home. I have made some amazingly aweswome friends and its beginning to grate on my nerves not being able to spend time with them.

Miss Taylor has also began showing some really bad behaviorial problems. I'm guessing it has to do being away from home and being away from her daddy. Some days I just don't have a clue how to parent her. I know being defiant is typical of a 4 year old but Tay is at an all new level. She has hit, kicked and bit me in addition to her all out shrieking....and that was because I asked her to put her jammies on. Anyone have any super mommy advice for me? She usually has an "episode" like this once a day.

Time for this mama to go crawl into bed and get some GOOd sleep! Night lovers!

Its so amazing to think of all the things my now 4 year old can do. In just a few short years she goes from a 6 pound teeny tiny baby to a walking, talking, I candoitbymyself kiddo. Tay really does make me one proud mom. I love seeing her learn new things and listen to people and give hugs. It just warms my heart!

Just recently she started gymnastics with other 3 and 4 year olds and absolutely LOVES it! She is definetly the chatter box of her class but she also follows directions extremely well. Its so much fun to watch her giggle and play alongside her friends. The other activity she just began is peewee T-Ball which is beyond adorable. Last week the coaches had all the kids out on the field and were teaching them how to run bases. Tay will get a T-shirt as will mama since I'm the assistant team mom! Yay! This means that I helped other parents sign their kids in at the first practice, I'll help get kids organized for pictures and be in charge of goodie bags at the end of the season. Sounds tough right? :-) I'm really looking forward to it though and even more excited that my husband will be able to come as well.

I am on a mission!

Since we have moved to the island I have not had Taylor's pictures taken and just recently I have found an AMAZING photographer who takes gorgeous pictures. They are bright fun and funky. I found Laurenland when my neighbor won a photoshoot for her daughter. I absolutely fell in love!

Is Cam not the cutest thing EVER?! She's such a beautiful little girl.

This is what winter looks like here in Hawaii (on the days we don't have a constant downpour of rain). Tay and I decided to head to the North Shore the other day for a change of scenery. This picture was taken from my phone at Pupukea beach, can you imagine what it would look like if these waves were breaking on the shore? I am so amazed at the power the ocean possesses.

The hardest thing since we moved away from home is making friends who I can TRUST. Almost the women I have met here are so catty and seem to really enjoy trying to create drama. Here's my little story if you will.... After asking a "friend" for advice on a certain extremely difficult subject (in confidence) that had to deal with another friend, it gets back to that person that I'm talking bad about her and her family which was sooooo far from the case. I was upset she got the information the way she did but happy she got it none the less. It's just so depressing that I confided in a person who I thought was a good friend and they couldn't respect me enough to keep their mouth shut. This incident traveled from 4 females until it got to the person who it had to do with. Is there nothing better to do then to talk about other people? sheesh! Sighhhhh.... I'll never have friends like I do back home. I've learned to keep my mouth shut and not trust anyone else here like I did with that person. Bottom line is I'm 28 years old, I'm a mom, I DO NOT DO DRAMA!

It sure as heck does not feel a thing like Christmas! I have my tree up and the house decorated and a yummy Christmas scent in my Scentsy burner but living here where its warm all the time does not do a thing to make the holidays seem like they're really here. Its flat out WEIRD! Haha!

Taylor and I were actually gone for about a month and a half. We decided to fly space A and head home to Cincinnati for a visit. It was alot of fun and Bobby even took leave for a few weeks and joined us. On our way back to Hickam we ended up taking 4 different flights to get here. Flying space A is quite an adventure! My favorite part was when we caught a hop from March AFB to Travis AFB in California and Tay and I got to ride in the cockpit in a C17!!! It was an amazing experience to be able to see everthing they do and of course see all of Cali from way up in the sky.

Now that we're back at Hickam I have been trying to get my house in order. Its been an ongoing battle thats for sure. When we got back I swear our luggage was throwing up crap from no where! I've just about got it all under control now and all the laundry is done and has been put away. Sooo my biggest pet peeve with living here are the bugs. There were lots of dead ants and cockroaches upon our return to the island. It grosses me out....not as bad as it does my husband...but still ick! Anyone have any good natural detterants they use? I am willing to try anything!

On a positive note, Bobby will finally be off of working nights come January. I can not wait!!!!!! His schedule changes every 3 months and this is my most hated shift, so woohoo on that!

Yawnnnnn...I'm off to bed. I'll definetly try and post more buuuut ya'll know how that goes. :-) nighty night

Not long ago I was invited to attend my first ever promotion ceremony...for the military. My neighbor and good friend was promoted to Sgt. in the Army. I am so unbelievablely happy for her and she is so deserving of her new rank. It was an awesome moment to be able to experience.

I am really wanting to make some extra money and I have been looking into different avenues that will work for me. I'm going to be be in my friends wedding this May and would love to save up some money to have a fabulous little vacation away from teh island (how weird does THAT sound?!). I have thought about babysitting in my home, work at home jobs and of course doing the little paid surveys on occassion. I ended up finding a mystery shopper site where I got a free 1 week trial. I have already spoke with 2 different companys and have my first 2 shops set up! Granted I'm will only make $20 doing them plus reimbursement from the items I have to purchase but its a start and its not far from home. There are some jobs out there where you can make some good money! I love how I can be on a schedule that works for me and my family and I can even take Tay or the hubby with me. I'm just hoping that the surveys and writing are all worth it. Heck I've definetly blogged on here for alot less or even nothing at all so $20 in my pocket is a good thing right?

Soooo am I crazy or what?! A few weeks ago my friend and I went down to the North Shore Pier and got to go swim with some amazingly awesome creatures. I had never been out on a boat in the ocean and I can not thank my dear friend enough for bringing some Dremamine! There were 10 of us who went out and 6 people had their heads hanging off the side of the boat...I am so glad I wasn't one of them! Once we got to the spot where the cage was I was so shocked to see so many sharks swimming around. Once my turn came to get in the cage I was even more amazed to see so many sharks up close and personal. There were many times where they would just come up and bump the cage and swim all around and under us. I kept checking to make sure I had all ten fingers and toes! The sharks we saw were Galapagos and were all male. It was an amazing experience and I hope to do it again before we leave the island in 3 years!

It has been so long since I have seriously blogged that I feel like a complete newbie! Haha! You wouldn't think so much has changed in the blogosphere in just a few short months but mygoodness it has! Everyone has cool new layouts, new products, new ads and not to mention all the new blogs that have popped up! There are some seriously talented folks out there. I'm a complete amature with online media and all this blog stuff but I really do love it and something that I've missed like crazy since we had the big move. I'm planning on looking into a new bloggy design since I have began my new life here in Hawaii. Do you all know of any fabulous designers you would like to reccomend?

My oh my it has been a loooong time! I have seriously missed my blogging but being new to the military and moving so far from home (not to mention a little issue with gmail) it kinda got put on the back burner. Now that we are all settled into our new fabulous home I hope to jump back into the swing of things and get my blog rolling again.

Welp, we have been here in Hawaii almost 3 months now. We arrived on April 18th and spent a month living in a hotel on base which wasn't the most fun. Once we finally got our place, our car and all our household goods things were great. Bobby likes his job so far, although he hasn't done much yet since he's still going thru some training. Hickam AFB is beautiful! Actually its the whole island....no matter where you look you see either beautiful mountains or the gorgeous turquoise blue of the ocean. Theres a great beach right on base that I love taking Tay to. The waves aren't too crazy there so its perfect for the little ones. I have never seen the ocean before we moved here so everyday I am absolutely floored when I see it. Theres just sooo much water! We have yet to snorkel, or surf or really do much anything else then hang at the beach. I am over anxious to do everything right away. My husband is always asking when I'm going to stop acting like a tourist! haha!

All in all life is good. I have met some fantastic people and I can not say enough good things about my neighbors. It's nice to be able to make such good friends so quickly. Tay also has lots of little friends she plays with on a daily basis, shes the youngest of her crew by a few years, which can be frustrating for her but she does well. It's been a great start to life as a military family and I am sooo looking forward to what the next 3 years will bring for us.

Oh sweet relief!!!

So I have been freaking out about this moving thing and not having Bobby home to help with everything. Yes, the military will pack and move us but theres still alot to do. I just found out today that he WILL be able to do RAP! We'll have to buy his plane ticket here but I am sooo okay with that! So after he graduates his security plus class (which ends next Friday!) he'll be able to come home for 2 weeks! On Monday I'm going to Wright Patt AFB to get started on mine and Tays passports and get our dental checks done. I have appointments scheduled with our civilian doc for our physicals to get that paper work done. I am finally feeling like I am making some sort of headway with all this stuff. The only thing that makes me nervous is they say it can take up to 8 weeks for our passports to get in. Time is my biggest enemy right now. I wish his class would have gotten their short sheets months earlier like the other class did...kinda makes me jealous. lol. Anyways our move is getting closer and closer and I can not wait to live with my husband again! We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past sunday and I realized that he has been gone 1/2 of our first year as a married couple. Just thinking of that kinda makes me sad but I have to look towards the future and how great the military like will be for our family....at least I hope so.

Bob Evans - Fit from the farm giveaway **

Not long ago Bob Evans launched their new fit from the farm. All items on this menu now have 650 calories or less which means that you can now have delicious tasting food without all the added calories and fat.

As much as I love to cook (haha...not) I don't do it as often as I should with Bobby being gone so Tay and I eat out quite a bit. We usually go to Bob Evans at least once a week. For the past few months I have been working towards losing weight. I joined the YMCA back in October and since then have made my commitment to getting healthier. My absolute favorite item on the fit from the farm is the marinated boneless chicken breast which comes with a baked potato (plain) and steamed broccoli florets. This totals at just 403 calories which is amazing for all the food you get to eat. I of course HAVE to add butter to my potato and a little bit of salt to my broccoli but all in all its alot better then what I could have had. Now miss Taylor is in LOVE with fruit so she wanted to help me out and try and the fresh fruit plate. It came with grapes and honeydew and cantaloupe and a few other fruits and a dish of lowfat strawberry yogurt which thrilled her to no end. My little 3 year old cleaned her plate and only had 353 calories which reminds me that I don't even want to think about the calories we ate tonight (thanks Skyline!)

In addition to the yummy dishes I spoke about there are salads, soups, pastas and breakfast items available. The new menu insert lists calories, fat, saturated fat and sodium levels for each item. This a is need to know information for anyone who is watching what they eat.

We have had so much freaking SNOW! Yes, I think its pretty when it starts to fall and everything is covered in a pretty white blanket BUT ohmygosh I hate hate hate shoveling it! Yesterday a neighborhood kid came by and asked if I needed my driveway shoveled. I handed him $10 and said have at it! I keep telling Bobby how lucky he is that is is missing out on it all annnnd he agrees lol. I seriously think I have seen enough of the white stuff to last me a while. I mean we get snow every winter here but the past few snow storms have been right on top of each other. Just as it begins to melt the clouds let loose again. There is no down time! haha! Yesterday we got about 10 inches on top of the foot that was already out there and Friday we're supposed to have even more! Oh joy! I just keep envisioning Hawaii's beautifulness that I will get to live in just a few short months. I think it will be a very welcomed change for all of us. So when I'm stuck outside with my big 'ol shovel I imagine a sandy beach, clear water and a margarita in hand and I am good to go!

How you can crush on these adorable brothers? On occasion Tay and I will catch an episode on the Disney channel and she totally gets a kick out of them. I can only imagine what I have yet to endure in the coming years. This DVD is a must have for any Jonas Brother fans. It includes 7 episodes from their Disney Channel series along with a never before seen DVD feature, "You've just been JoBro'd!-surprising Jordin Sparks,". When purchased this DVD also contains 3 magnets featuring each of the Jonas Brothers. What Jonas fan would not love that?!

The Boys are Back - Brand new DVD release

Clive Owen stars in this very moving yet funny film. The Boys are back is based on a true story about that begins with the death of Joe Warrs (Clive Owen) wife which was extremely heartbreaking. Joe is then left to care for a 6 year old and a teen boy on his own while juggleing the demands of a job and running a household. There are plenty of wild and funny antics that go on throughout the movie but also an intense bond that builds within the three. I throughly enjoyed the movie but I did find that mood was mostly somber throughout the film, even during some of the sillier parts. In the end, I still consider this movie to be a "feel good" type of film. It will definetly lift your spirits and touch your heart.

Carolina Pad review and giveaway

I can only wish that I knew about Carolina Pad when I was in school! I remember there were not too many options for fun and funky school supplies 10 years ago. You could either have a plain 'ol colored notebook or one with a picture of a fluffy cat. I can't imagine many high school seniors wanting to carry that around. Don't get me wrong, Carolina Pad isn't just for teenagers they have all kinds of fabulous collections that are perfect for everyone. I think all the designs are very fashion forward.

I think purchasing new binders and notebooks for that special person in school right now would be a fabulous way to brighten up their day. It gets old staring at that same binder or notebook day after day. Plus it might be that extra needed push to get thru these long winter months.
