First of all I would like to apolagize for posting so late, Don't worry I have a bribe for that later.

Anyway I have been so busy with a couple of new projects, I really haven't had a chane to do much, trust me being a success online is not as easyas some claim, nevertheless I'm a stubborn guy.

My new project Exclusive-Reviews is coming a long fine, a bit more work then I expected but all good, though I may have to hire a freelance writer for that. Hopefully that should be completed with a couple of weeks, nothing great but it's something.

I have been so busy I haven't been able to do much with TheMillionDollarBlogSite but remember it's a place to promote your blogs for FREE so why not?

New Project

Hi guys sorry I haven't updated for a few days I have been busy working on a new project.

The project is bascially a website which will have a newspaper style layout and will review blogs and websites (I am hoping to expand to more stuff later). The site will be updated weekly and will have about 5 websites and 5 blogs per week. Currently I will be offering FREE reviews to some people including all those on my mailing list. I will contact you guys whwn it's ready and give you first glimpses.

So hopefully should be finished in a week or two, I'm also working on another project but that won't be ready for some time, so I have been quite busy.

Google Ups Bid Prices!

Today I recieved an email from Perry Marshall, a expert in term of Google Adwords. Anyway the email was a bit alarming and I had to go and check my Google Adwords account to make sure I wasn't affected too.

The email:

Last Week a whole slew of advertisers woke up
and saw their 5, 10 and 25 cent clicks go up to
$5.00 and $10.00.

Reactions to this were typically curses and
statements like "This is totally asinine" and
"Who do these people think they are, totally
screwing up my business and giving me, like,
no explanation whatsoever?"

Welcome to the land of Google, who pretty
much leaves it to others (like me) to explain
to their customers the logic of what they do
and how their system actually works.

I picked up the phone and start comparing notes
with Bryan and some of my coaching members....
Plus we had a Roundtable meeting Thursday and Friday.
By Thursday afternoon we'd pretty much cracked the
code on this thing.

I sent a detailed update to Renaissance Club
members on Friday morning, and got even more
confirmations, based on a lot of experimentation.

-->Here's the deal:

If Google thinks that your website in general has
"a lot of content" or "a fair amount of content" then
you probably didn't get whacked.

If Google thinks that your website in general has
"very little content" or "no content" (as defined by
what their bot thinks when it spiders your site),
then they just jack your bids way, way up.

The easiest workaround is just put your landing
page on a different site, i.e. one that has a lot of
articles and stuff on it, and normally they'll accept
your bids. Instantly, if you do it from a different
Google account.

If your landing page has no links on it, which is
generally the best way to make a landing page,
it might also be good to add some. (Not that
those links need to be obvious to the naked eye.)

If your site has no content, then.... you'll need
to add some. Surely this can't be terribly hard!

The overall picture here is that Google wants the
right (paid) side of the page to deliver an experience
more like what they already reward on the left (free)
side of the page. Which, I guess, is a whole bunch
of free information and not asking people to do anything,
like opt-in, register or buy. Google's guidlines say this,
too, BTW.

Now when I'm advertising and paying for the clicks,
I prefer to decide what the visitors get. And you should
too. But at the same time, Google gets to decide what
the rules are and they don't even even have to tell you
what they are.

Hey, at least I told ya. And remember, you can have
plenty of content on your site and still maintain control
of the user experience from the landing page. This you
must do.

On this change in particular I've seen a LOT of
people angry about Google's attitude that they
think they own the world.

The reason Google has this attitude is... because
they DO own the world. At least a big part of the
Internet world. Right?

If I were you I would not expect Google to get any
friendlier anytime soon.

What you can expect is that the game will
get more mature with time, that it will be harder
for new people to enter markets easily. And people
who continually sharpen their axe will win big.

Remember this: Every time Google makes a
Big Change, the weak-willed get thrown off the
bucking bronco and the strong become stronger.
You get to decide which you are.

I strongly suggest you too check your Google Adwords acounts if you have one.

Making Money online is a Slow Process

A lot of people try to get started online making money and after a week or two or a month they end up questioning why they are not Millionaires yet...

Regardless of what you may have heard about any internet entrepreneur's there success and wealth was not earned over night or within a few months. Just like anyone else they went through all the same steps as the rest of us. The reason why they eventually made it to the top is because they never gave up!

The journey to wealth online will not be easy and definitely not quick. I too felt the same when I first started but eventually I started making money. I didn't give up instead I asked myself what was I doing wrong? This led me to doing further research and involved a lot of reading and actually purchasing a few books only later I realized a lot of the information was freely available, I was still happy with my purchase.

Armed with the new quality knowledge gained I created another website this one much better then the first one. Basically I see it as a cycle of trying, improving ad then try again. Keep at it and eventually you will succeed.

Affiliate Site + Adsense Do Not Work

I have seen a lot of new websites developing lately for the sole purpose of trying to sell affiliate products and then they make the mistake of placing Adsense on the same website. These two do not go together!

Why? Well because say for example you selling Digital Camera's through an affiliate and a potential buyer comes to your website they see a camera they like they decide they will purchase it and then there eyes catch a glimpse of and Adsense ad which says something like "Digital Camera's Reviewed- Don't buy any camera's until you read our reviews here. Free service", and your visitor decides to go here instead.

You lost your potential affiliate sale of around $60 to $1 or a few cents... Think about it this could happen to every potential buyer and you are making small amounts of money instead of a possible larger sum.

So If you are making a site soley to sell affiliate products Don't Include Adsense.

Backup your HARD-DRIVES!!!!

A lot of people like myself are often warned to make a backup of their hard drives in case any thing goes wrong, but we always tend to ignore it or never get round to doing it. Well I suggest you do it now at this very point. Why? becasue the other day I was sitting just blogging away at my computer when sudenly switched off. I put it back on and it wouldn't recognise my hard drive so I called in an expert. My hard drive somehow died...

So I lost everything on my computer believe me had a lot on there, al my personal docs, my websites, new projects everything. So now I am working to tryand recover what I can from wherever I can and I'm going to have to start a-fresh.

Make sure you make backups.

Forums
These are abolutley great why because you can find forums about absolutley any subject you want. This means that all the members will have that same subject in common so you are bound to get traffic from them. Don't spam though just put your link in your signature, get involved in topics from time to time, and if they have an advertising section post in there. There's many more advantages to forum's you can get feedback, get content, meet new people etc.

What did Materazzi say to Zidane?!!!

This is the question that every football fan wants to know, What did Materazzi say to Zidane? Last night Italy were crowned as the 2006 World Cup winners, and Zidane ended his career in the worst way possible.

Zidane and Italian defender Materazzi were seen to exchange words and then suddenly in a moment of madness Zidane headbutted Materazzi to the floor and was sent off. And now everyone is dying to know what was said between them to drive Zidane to do what he did, he knew the stakes the world cup final and an end to his career, so it couldn't have been a "you've gone fat mate". Neither of the players will speak about the incident.

There have been a lot of speculation about what was said some say he was called "a terrorist" others say something about his family was said. If it was a racism remark I will be deeply disappointed, FIFA are trying a lot to kick racism out of football but if this is coming from the players, it brings shame to the player, his team mates and the country. However we do not no the full details yet, so until the truth is revealed people will keep speculating.

Zidane was a great player and I still have great respect from him, however we will have to wait until the truth comes out for everyone else to make their judgments. Zidane also won the player of the tournment award.

This is most controversial event in football since Maradona's "hand of god" incident.

Time will tell what was really said...

TheMillionDollarBlogSite Update

Just a quick update on my MillionDollarBlogSite I created, I have made a few changes. The other day I asked a blogger if he wanted to put his blog on my FREE Pixel site and he said "NO" so I was curious to know why. He said becaue he wasn't bothered about random traffic he would rather put his link in a Blog Directory because they have catagories and so he could at least get some form of targetted traffic to his blog.

This gave me an idea I thought how could I implement catagories into my pixel site? After some brainstorming I realised if I split the whole thing up into sections, and Bloggers can post their blog pixel in the correct section. So I found the 6 most popular catagories and put thes on. This will at least bring some tragetted traffic to your blogs. Remeber It is completley free, no strings to put your pixels up, make sure you put it in the right catagory and hurry becasue once your catagory is full you won't be able to put yours up...

Also I would appreciate it if you could spread the word and let other bloggers know.

How I got started and a valuable Lesson for new guys

My biggest mistake when I first started with trying to make money on the interent was taking on too much. I first started when I brought the Rich Jerk Ebook sometime ago I actually purchased it at 3AM I couldn't sleep and my part time job really wasn't earning me enough.
Anyway so I'm reading it till 4AM and then you know whne you just vision so many ideas, they just seem to flow. I really wanted to get started but I knew it would be better to get some sleep.

I woke up again at 7AM had a shower, some more ideas flowed to my head, hda breakfast and started up the laptop again. I read the book again a few times and decided I was ready I found the cheapest hosting and domain and purchased it. I then created a website soley to sell the Rich Jerk as an affiliate, my first mistake was I thought I could make it to only target the UK market. I then decided to create an Adwords campaign, as I recieved a free £30 coupon with my hosting I thought why not. A week later I had no sales hardly any clicks, and really nothing, I was crushed the vision in my head was not coming true. The main thing I did was not give up.

Next I got involved in the Rich jerk forum, this was the best thing I ever did, I realised I was not the only one who wasn't making money there were a lot of other people too. Then there was the experts on the forum who basically taught me much more valuable information. I did some more research, armed with this new knowledge I quickly had more visions of success. Again I purchased another domian and hosting and created another site. I now had a total of 5 projects running at the same time and guess what, they all failed...

Again I stopped to think what was wrong, this time I abandoned all my projects, posted more posts on forums as to how to improve and what went wrong. This time I learned a lot more, looked at successful sutes and did a great deal more research. I then created another project, rather then buying another hosting and domain, I simply changed the domain of the old website to my new project. I took all the feedback I recieved and implemented it in my new project.
One of those was to work at one or two projects max at a time, so I decided one will do for now, a week later I made my first sale of $22, finally from then on I knew things could only get better, and then my journey began....

Lessons to be learnt:
1. Don't take on too many projects at once
2. Do a reasonable amount of research first
3. Never give up
4. Forums are extremley valuable
5. You will get there eventually

Adsense Secrets - Part 2

If you have not read Adsense Secrets - Part 1, please do as this is a continuation of that.

3. Images
As you know images attract peoples eyes more and can help increase your revenue from Adsense. How? Because more people seem to click the ads because the images draw their attention, let me show you an example.

Here is an example of what I mean this would increase your click through rate. Remember to put a border around the image to be on the safe side as Google requires content to be separate.

4. Channels
C channel are very important when trying to maximize your profit with Adsense. These basically provide you with the ability to track the performance of your Ads. Each indivdual Adsense coding can be placed with a tracker so you can find out exactly how much each Ad is earning you.

This allows you to test and change the adverts, the piece of Adsense ad that is not earning you enough should be changed, the colour, the ad format, the positioning, until you find the right combination that earns you the most money. This should be done for all your Adsense ads, if they are not doing good change them and try again, keep repeating this process until you find the highest earning combination.

5. Google Search
A lot of people don't use the search bar on their websites because they feel it may not generate them enough revenue, but believe me it does, this earned me a lot of revenue in one of early websites. So implement this too!

Few more Advice

Before doing anything with Adsense coding check Google's T&C's, because if you get banned it is virtually impossible to get unbanned again.
You are only allowed 3 Ad units and 1 Link unit per page
Never click your own Ads

Adsense Secrets - Part 1

WHAT ADSENSE SECRETS??? There are none. I'm tired of people trying to sell Adsense Secrets books when there are none, in my opinion the most important aspect of making money online is TRAFFIC.

Let me put it another way, you have just designed the best website in the world, you decide to give these people $50 and they explain to you to put your Adsense "here" exactly as they tell you to, perfect your going to be rich soon, NOT!!! Why because unless you have traffic, people actually visiting your website you are not going to make a cent, let alone dollars. You see where I'm coming from. And yes these books may reveal to you information that you never knew about but a lot of this information is freely available on the net so why pay for it.

Now I haven't read any of these books but I'm willing to bet the following information I am going to provide for FREE is what the owners of these books call "Secret".

1. Content
The main content of your website will determine the amount of money that you will receive per click, because Google will place adverts relevant to your content. There are some keywords can can earn you $30 dollars per click and some that will only earn you a few cents per click. Inorder to find out which keywords pay high you can use Yahoo's free bid tool. Simply enter the keyword/ phrase that you will make your website about and it will show you how much advertisers are paying for that paticular keyword/phrase. Obvioulsy the higher the better for example , a phrase like Car insurance get $10, this is more likely to be higher in Google, whereas a keyword such as Make money online would only get you $1 per click. So make sure you choose your content carefully.

2. Ad-format
I have read and find out that the best type of Adsense format is the rectangles, the large and medium ones, they seem to be easier to read. The colour is also important, the best approach seems to be to blend the adverts in with your website colour scheme, use the same colour links, text etc. Finally the Ad should be placed around the center of your page along with your main content. Another good place to put your Adsense code is placed at the top left side of the page, obviously because this is the first place where every visitors eyes will go first.

Ok so its been just over a week since I started this blog, I'm really enjoying it and it feels great to help other people too. I have learnt quite a lot over the past week, and will continue to do so. I've become a member of many forums and have come across some interesting bloggers, I also found out the owner of Problogger.net makes a 6 figure income just from his blogs... Truly amazing and inspiring.

Well to give you some idea, so far I have made $25 dollars in adsense, I have used no paid advertising, and it's only been a week so far so good. Hopefully as I start to build up traffic this will increase.

I'm also fed up of these people trying to sell books which contain Adsense "secrets", there are no secrets, so my next post will be on Adsense watch out for that.

5 Tips to bring FREE traffic to your blog

This question is asked by many new bloggers and so here I attempt to answer it. This is also the most tedious and boring part of online marketing. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

There are many free ways to get traffic to your blog.

Blog Directories

These are websites that just contain links to various blogs in different categories, simply add yours to their directory. Most of them are free but some may ask for a reciprocal link, meaning you have to put a link back to them in your blog. Which is quite simple really, just add the code they provide you with in your template depending upon where you want it in your blog.

Here is a list of some major ones you should add to:
www.blogcatalog.com/
www.bloghub.com/
www.blogwise.com/
www.blogrankings.com/
www.weblogalot.com/

This is just a list of some directories. Go into Google and type blog directories and add your blog to as many as you can.

Link Exchange

Find other blog’s that are about the same topic and exchange links with them. Find a way to contact them form their blog and then send them an email explaining that you would like to exchange links with them. This way you could get traffic from their blog.

Forums

This is a great way to get traffic to your site and some other stuff too. There is probably a forum on everything that you could think of and usually there are a lot of active members on them. Get involved in them but remember to add a link to your blog in your signature. I have had a lot of traffic from many forums. Forums are also great for finding content to write on your blog, what is everyone discussing, what product do they want most etc.

Article Directories

These are websites where people post their articles, you can write about any subject you want. This brings traffic you your site because each article you write contains a “about the author” box at the bottom, here you can again add a link to your blog. So say someone reads your article on blog tips they like it and at the bottom they see “visit my blog to see even better tips” or something similar, bang! More traffic.

Comments

Again find blogs that are related to your subject and post comments on other blogs along with a link back to your blog. Don’t simply write “Nice post” or “Great blog” as it will be very clear that you are simply trying to steal their traffic. Instead try and write a few sentences about the post or their blog. Remember to include the link back to your blog.

Added Bonus

Remember by adding all these links to other sites, you are automatically improving your PR (Page Rank) at the same time. So even if you don’t see immediate high traffic it will still benefit you in the long term. The more links you have the higher up you will be in the Google search engine. Another chance to bring traffic!

As I mentioned this is a long boring process, but unless you are willing to pay for paid traffic, these are just a few methods to try.

Yesterday...

Yesterday was a great day for me I have learnt so much about internet marketing simply from reading on the internet. I feel a whole lot smarter, but way off from the top guys. Anyway I'm currently implementing some of these ideas, so a bit busy with that.

Its all a bit too much, scattered information here and there so I haven't been able to post here. I will break all the information up in to small sections and post them here so watch out for that. I will also make sure its able for newbies like myself to understand.

I also made my highest earning of $25 in adsense. That is slowly improving weekly, but it's not constant, some weeks its down, others up. I still have to implement some new ideas for that too, would really like to make some useful money from adsense, at least to cover my costs for now.

Was working on some ideas for my own business, I plan to make a new restaurant/club. This is quite a long time away, still have uni to finish and experience to get. But I'm still enthusiastic about the project even now.

One more thing for all you other young entrepreneurs. Don't Give up!

Ok finally I have a book that I have been reading over and over again. It is called The Rich Jerk basically he is an anonymos millionaire who has made millions possibly billions online. It is an excellent book and I have learnt a lot from it and I am currently in the process of implementing a few ideas. I will post my results and progress on here, though I do feel this is the start of something great!

I still haven't heard from that estate agent's, dissapointed about that was really looking foward to that job. Still I applied to a few more will see what happens from there. Went work yesterday, was really boring as usual, really want to get out of retail work. Also got my first year university results passed everything so well pleased about that. At the moment I'm just looking for a car, didn't realise it would be such a long process, well especially when you got limited finance.

Anyway i know every one is waiting for some knowledge about making money online, I will start writing more tips and advice, as I said the book I purchased had some great infoI will try and re-write some of the good parts in my own words.

Football, job, and life

Today I found out you can earn a lot as an estate agent, I applied for a job hwere I would get £10k, company car and a bonus for just three months! how cool would that be. This was even for school leavers, if only i'd known back then. Hopefully i'll get the job.

Anyway Japan lost Brazil really wanted them to go through but oh well, so most of the teams are knocked out, now its should get intresting. England play Equador on Sunday, come on England!.

Also been busy with the internet, wrote some tips for blogging, not that im an expert myslef well not yet anyway. Also trying to promote my other venture, http://www.themilliondollarblogsite.com, Yes it is a rip off of the original milliondollarhomepage, but hey it could work. So if you want to advertise your blog for only $1 per pixel go ahead! Other then that been a usual day, getting people to your blog can be exhausting after a while.

Some Blogging Tips

Tips for your blogs

1. Get a better URL

Your blog address is important it is more likely to bring traffic if it memorable, It also tells the potential viewer a bit about what the blog is about. A lot of the good blog addresses in Blogger are gone so just get the best one available that you can and I will show you how to get a better URL.

Say for example you decided to make a Make Money Secrets blog and the only address you could get was something like jakesmakemoneysecretsonline.blogspot.com
with this URLdoctor you could get a blog address like jake.hasasecret.com

Which one sounds better to you? You still can use your original blogspot address as well, so you can try using both URL’s in your Adwords campaign and see if one works better then the other.

OK to do this go to http://www.urldoctor.com/ and fill in you details it’s pretty easy. For the option part, click on the +2500 options above and pick one out of there. Within 24 hours your new domain should be active.

2. Get an Opt in list script

Capturing emails is a great way to bring back traffic to your website as well as promote your other products/services. (just make sure it doesn’t become spam).
I use http://www.notifylist.com/ It is very easy to use, Simply copy and paste the code they provide you with in your template depending upon where you want the form to be shown on your blog.

This one however doesn’t offer a great amount of features, If anyone knows a better one please let me know. Thanks.

3. Analyse your blog

A blog is just like any other website. It is important to know all about your traffic and where it comes from. I use http://www.statcounter.com/ It’s free and provides a good range of data. Simply sign up add the code to the bottom of your template and your done. You don’t have to display a link back to their site if you don’t want to.

You can then look at where the visitor came from, how long they spent, what page they left from, what path they took on your website, and much more. Great information to analyse and optimize your blog.

4. Be different

Before you make any modifications to your template I strongly suggest you make a backup of your current one. You will also have to add any add-ons you had again.
Simply go your dashboard, go to template, copy and paste all the coding into notepad or Microsoft word and save it.

When you look at many blogs after a while they all look the same (because of the limited templates blogger provide you with) and put you off regardless of the content. So unless you know to code one yourself your will be another one of them.

They are simple to use once you download the code simply copy and paste them into your template in blogger. (remove the old code first).

5. RSS

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication it is basically a way for you to tell readers “what’s new” on your website. It announces any change that you make to your blog, by creating a “feed” that can be picked up by the spider from an aggregator.

An aggregator keeps track of your links to favorite blogs, much like the bookmarks section of your browser. It's different than a bookmarks section, because the aggregator can alert you to the frequent updates to blogs, which your browser can't do.

A good free aggregator can be obtained from http://www.rssreader.com

Why is RSS important for me?

RSS is important because first it allows people to subscribe to your blog, and every time you make updates they will be notified and come back to your blog, bringing return traffic. Another reason is to establish your readership, the stat counters will give you information about how many people are visiting your blog, but this will give you details as to how many people are actually reading your blog.

How do I get RSS for my blog?

The best free service I have found is http://www.feedburner.com

It is simple to register a pretty straight-forward process. Once registered add your blogs and your done. Then you simply need to add coding for readers to subscribe to your blog do this click on the publicize tab at the top. Then click friendly graphics in the sentence
“Chickletize your web site. Encourage people to subscribe to your feed by posting a friendly graphic in an easy-to-find location”

Here you will get the different type of aggregators and their codes. I put all of them in my blog, however it is up to you which ones you put. I suggest always putting the standard one, as this is the official logo now. Once you select the one you want to put the coding is at the bottom of the page, again simply copy and paste the code in your template depending upon where you want the button to show on your blog.

Feed burner also allows you to select an option where it will automatically ping your updates for you when they are made.
They include:

· My yahoo
· Bloglines
· Pubsub
· Ping-o-matic
· Newsgator

And you can add up to five more of your own.

I was excited about this blog so I decided to call it First Post, lame I know.

Anyway I'm John Kyle, I'm a student attending Westminster University in London. I am studying for a marketing degree. Just like every other person I want to be successfful and rich. (don't get me wrong, I'm not some lazy boy who wants something for nothing, I do have a part-time job too) I come from a poor background living on a council estate.

I have been surfing the internet ever since I was 12 and I have learnt a lot and Its actualy fun just surfing the web and educating yourself. I've come to learn that there is a lot of money to be made on the internet and as I spent so much time on it anyway I thought I'd try and make some money out of it. I have made a few websites and made a few quid but not a lot, Its not even entirley about the money I'd actually get a buzz of everyone talking about me on the internet.

Then came along the rapid growth of blogs, and blogger. A completely free way to express yourself, something I really need to do, Just let out all my thoughts. At the same time I'm going to make this a diary of my journey to becoming wealthy. Along the way I know I will learn a lot of knowledge and so I will also provide this knowledge for others in my position to learn too.

I can see the headlines now, from council boy to a wealthy young entrepeneur.

And so my journey begins...
