Brandi Nicole Jans to Coach Storm 18L and 12L

Announcing Brandi Nicole Jans as our new 18 Lightning coach and 12 Lightning Co-Coach. Brandi Nicole Jans is a former player from Glendale Community College and University of Central Arkansas. She has been the current head coach at Moon Valley High School for the past 5 years. Coach Jans has been affiliated with Arrowhead VBC where she was an assistant coach on 18's and also a head coach in the 12's, 14's and 16's age level. When asked about her coaching philosophy and system, Coach Jans best describes it as; I teach teamwork, sportsmanship, hard work, and leadership through volleyball. My goals include the development of excellent volleyball skills, as well as helping these young ladies to develop into responsible adults, and providing the lessons that will help them serve as leaders in the future.I aim to help athletes build their self esteem, confidence and self discipline.

Tammy Butler Storm 14M Coach

Tammy is a Arizona native, married 16yrs, and has 2 children ages 16 and 12. She is currently in her 24th year of coaching and in her 9th season as the Varsity Volleyball Coach at North Canyon High School. Tammy also coaches the 7th grade volleyball team at Mountain Trail Middle School where she teaches P.E and has been teaching for 19 years. In her prime, she attended Grand Canyon University on a volleyball scholarship and earned her BS in Education. Tammy most recently came from Arrowhead VBC. We welcome Coach Tammy Butler to the Storm volleyball family and look forward to her success within the club!

Chelsey Thompson Storm 14M Co-Coach

Chelsey Thompson was a 4 year student-athlete at Notre Dame Preparatory where she won the 4A-II state championship and earned MVP of her season.Her senior year of club she played as an outside hitter for Storm Co-Director, Terri Spann at Force VBC. One of her strengths as a player was her team leadership and dedication to the game. Once she graduated in 2008, Chelsey went on to play at Providence College on an athletic scholarship. She has been a well respected volleyball player in the valley since 2002 and is now looking forward to starting her coaching career at Storm.

Fundraising Opportunities!

If you are looking to lower your club fees, we encourage you to fundraise individually and as a team. Club season is about to start so I wanted to give you a head start! Your first fundraising opportunity is through Auto Glass Shop. If you or someone you know is in need of a new windshield, encourage them to go to Autoglass4class.com.

Order a new windshield, tell them you are helping an athlete with Arizona Storm VBC and give the name of the player. They will donate $50 for each replacement. The $50 dollars will come straight to the club and go into your daughters account. It's a start, hope you will take advantage of it!

AZ Region Club Night Approaches!

If you are interested in learning more about our club, we encourage you to have the opportunity to meet us personally! This is a great opportunity for you to watch good college volleyball with a few of our current and previous club coaches from Storm participating in the matches. While there, AZ Storm will have a section promoting the club. We encourage you to ask questions as we know it can be a stressful time when looking into different organizations. Find a coach in a Storm shirt and ask away! Storm is a great program with numerous strengths and we want you to learn that first hand and in person. Hope to see you out ther Storm Family!

April Kane named Storm 16L Coach, Assisted by Lisa Ramirez!

Hey Storm Family!

We are pleased to announce April Kane as our new 16 Lightening coach. April has been a successful coach training numerous athletes in the valley for over 10 years. She most recently coached for Desert Sky VBC. April is a passionate and knowledgeable coach that loves to train a fast offense which is phenomenal training in preparation for our players seeking a collegiate career. April is also the sister to our 12's coach, Shannon Nelson. We are excited to add another fabulous coach into the Storm family! April will be assisted by Lisa Ramirez, a current defensive specialist at Grand Canyon University!
