Nyal Niemuth, formally Chief Mining Engineer at the Dept. of Mines and Mineral Resources, will serve as interim branch chief. The Geological Survey's two existing geologists in the Phoenix area will move into the former ADMMR facilities at 1520 W. Adams St. to join the five ADMMR staff who transferred to the Survey when ADMMR was shut down on January 21. </description>

Additionally, 5 of the 6 ADMMR employees (3 full time and 2 part time) will be transferred to the Arizona Geological Survey. The agreement between the two agencies is subject to final approval by the ADMMR Board, which is meeting today at 4 pm to vote on it. </description>
