TNPSC VAO Exam 2017 -2018
This is one of the most preferred choices in TNPSC conducted examinations. Generally, it is called VAO Exam or Village Administrative Officer Exam. This exam is conducted annually by Tamilnadu Public Service Commission. The Exam for this year will be held on 11th February 2018 at about 495 vacancies. The notification will be announced on 14th November 2017 by Tamilnadu Public Service Commission.

Combined Civil Services Examination - 4 (Group-IV). Applications are invited only through online mode up to 13.12.2017 for the years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 for the Direct Recruitment to the following posts included in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service. It is mandatory for the applicants to register their basic particulars through One Time online Registration system on payment of Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) towards registration fee and then should apply online for this recruitment. (The One-Time Registration will be valid for 5 years from the date of registration. Thereafter, the registration should be renewed by paying the prescribed fee.)

College teaches you how to think. However, unless you are engaged with your campus Career Center, college teaches you virtually nothing on the subject of career development. Think about how many courses you took in your major, and then think about how many semester-long courses you took on career development? A rare few colleges offer, at most, one or two courses on the topic. You spend time more time at work than in any other aspect of your life, but college teaches you barely anything on how to start, build and manage your career. Without the Career Center, you will be left on your own to figure out what you are suppose to do with your life. The transition is difficult because there is no syllabus for success. Here are my 50 tips to prepare you for the realities of working.

Go to the Career Center on campus at least once a semester and then every month when you are a senior.
Believe in yourself, believe in something and have someone believe in you.
Success comes from inside of you.
In addition to your college degree, employers will want to see multiple internship experiences. Your competition has them.
Start building your resume early in your college career. Don’t wait until you get back from spring break of your Senior year.
Be nice to your faculty. You’ll need them someday to serve as a reference for graduate school or a job.
Get clarity and focus on the three types of jobs you will pursue: 1) Ideal Jobs, 2) Back-Up/Realistic Jobs, and 3) Survival Jobs.
Come up with your own personal and professional definition of success and don’t let anyone else define it for you.
Your first job is a period of adjustment. It’s like being a freshman all over again. Be patient and learn the ropes.
Think of your first job as a stepping-stone that can help you get closer to your Ideal Job.
Show up early and stay late.
If you are self-aware, self-confident and self-disciplined you will go very far in life.
Take advantage of everything that college has to offer. Suck the life-force out of it. If you do, you’ll have no regrets.
Most jobs today are not for life. The time to start preparing for your next job search is the day you take your new job.
Eliminate poor grammar and slang from your speech.
Resist the temptation to use work time to conduct personal business like email, phone calls and combing the Internet.
An employer cares about how productive you are. They don’t really care whether or not you’re professionally fulfilled.
Starting at the bottom is not beneath you; it’s expected.
An employer wants to know, “Can you do the job? Are you willing to do the job? Can we stand you when you do the job?”
Don’t get sloppy with your behavior. It can run you into trouble later on.
Share your life, but don’t over-share.
Stay focused and don’t get distracted by Facebook or other social media sites. Cut your addiction to the Internet.
Know when you need to work independently and know when you need to be a team player.
You can never say “please” and “thank you” enough – it goes a long way.
If you perpetually smile and look people in the eyes you are likely to get the same in return.
Employers hire for attitude and train for knowledge. Enthusiasm is the road to success.
Clean up any “Digital Dirt” that’s on the Internet. Your online reputation IS your reputation. Create it, build it and protect it.
Keep your commitments. Habitually cancelling is a C.L.M., Career Limiting Move.
Keep in mind that success is the first attempt after failure. We all have made mistakes. Don’t sweat it; just learn from them.
Devote a great deal of time to practicing your interview skills. Have a Mock Interview at your campus Career Center.
You won’t reach your career goals if you let someone else drive your career. Go from passenger to driver.
If you take your career seriously, others will take you seriously. If you care about others, others will care about you.
Ask for help, but don’t suck up too much of anyone’s time.
How you dress is a reflection of your self-image. Dress for not where you are, but for where you want to be. Be neat.
Have a clear vision for your life. Set personal and professional goals every year and develop an action plan to achieve them.
It is highly likely you will go on to graduate school. Carefully pick the right degree and program. It’s expensive if you don’t.
Network your brains out and carefully build your LinkedIn Contacts. You will be changing jobs, and you’ll need their help.
Givers Get! It starts with you.
Most communication is non-verbal. Pay attention to what you say. Pay closer attention to what you say when you’re not talking.
Have regular meetings with your boss to discuss your progress. This can save a lot of misunderstandings and headaches later.

Stay in your first job out of college for one year, preferably two to three. Anything less is job hopping, and it doesn’t look good.
The world is very small and increasingly interconnected. Play nice. Don’t burn any bridges.
Don’t chase after money. It tends to be a poor long-term motivator. Do what you love and the money will follow.
Pursue meaningful work that makes a difference. The meaning of life is to make a difference. Do work that you value.
Build an emergency fund just in case something goes wrong at work. Find a financial planner and start investing immediately!
Set up a budget and stick to it. Don’t get into credit card debt. Always live below your means.
Don’t wait for opportunities. Go out and hunt for them.
Where you go in life is up to you.
Go be somebody.

Search engines start at one website with a large number of outbound links (usually a directory)
They follow every link they come across, indexing each page they arrive at
Once a page has been indexed they follow all the links from that page
And so on until there are no more links to follow

Unless today is your very first day on the Internet, you might have heard that inbound links into a website are extremely important in establishing its search engine ranking. If a search engine can't find you by itself through crawling the web, then your website doesn't have any inbound links. Media Streaming is delivering audio / video content continuously over the web. With broadband spreading in every corner of the world and latest compression / delivery techniques, Media Streaming is becoming more popular. Dedicated High End / High Bandwidth servers that enable constant delivery of such content are called as Media Streaming Servers. Media Streaming Servers are used in two ways 1. On demand audio / video streaming 2. Live Streaming ( or ) Web Casting On Demand Audio / Video Streaming: This type of streaming is used to deliver pre-loaded media files. For example, play list of selected songs, pre-recorded events, pre-recorded training sessions, video tutorials, how to do video manuals, movies, trailers, prayers, masses etc. You can start and run your own FM and TV channel over the web and reach millions of audience at the lowest possible cost. Live Streaming ( or ) Web Casting This type of streaming is used to deliver live media contents over the web. This includes, live events, marriages, press releases, CEO meets, reality shows, sales events, symposiums, online lectures etc. Technology Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) is a protocol used for streaming audio, video and data over the Internet, between a Flash player and a server. The RTMP protocol has three variations: The "plain" protocol which works on top of TCP RTMPT which is encapsulated within HTTP requests to traverse firewalls RTMPS which works just like RTMPT, but over a secure HTTPS connection. The raw TCP-based RTMP protocol maintains a single persistent connection and allows real-time communication. To guarantee smooth delivery of video and audio streams, while still maintaining the ability to transmit bigger chunks of information, the protocol splits video and data into 128-byte fragments (except for audio which uses 64-byte fragments). Fragments from different streams are then interleaved and multiplexed over a single connection. With longer data chunks, the protocol only carries a one-byte header per fragment, thus incurring very little overhead. Schematic view of how Media Streaming Works ADALMA uses YBox Streaming Server environment which is built on a high end, high bandwidth platform. YBox Servers are pre-hardened and fine tuned for peak load performances. YBox Streaming Servers allow streaming in multiple mounts simultaneously without any data congestion. YBox Servers are known for their rugged and fail proof architecture. Types of content that can be streamed Streaming Audio/Video (FLV and MP3) Recording Client Streams (FLV only) Live Stream Publishing Advantages and Applications Media Streaming can be effectively used to cut cost, save time and to enhance the user experience.
