This exemplary and unique festival is celebrated to honor the brave deeds of the heroes of Rajasthan who lived and fought during the medieval era. The Marwar festival is celebrated during the months of September and October. The celebration is in the Hindu month of Aswin in the time of Sharad Purnima.</p>

<p><strong>Nagaur Fair</strong></p>
<p>The Nagaur Fair is the second biggest fair in the country. It is also known as the Cattle Fair of Nagaur. The fair includes trading of camels, horses and bullocks which is conducted every year. Different types of items are traded during the fair. Some of the most popular types of items include spices, horses, iron crafts, wooden items and various types of camel leather items.</p>

The biggest chilly market in India can also be viewed in the Nagaur fair.</p>
<p>During the fair, the cattle are beautifully decorated with colorful embellishments and artificial ornaments. Fascinating decorations are used to embellish the cattle. The cattle owners also wear attractive clothes and accessories. The fair also showcases several exquisite forms of entertainment which include folk stories, juggling, puppetry shows and many more. The Nagaur Fair is one of the most entertaining and colorful festivals in the city of Jodhpur.</p>

The Mahamandir temple is located on the Mandore road. It is situated at a distance of 2 kms from the city of Jodhpur. The temple is renowned all over the world for its magnificent architectural beauty and size. The entire temple includes 84 pillars and each pillar is ornamented with detailed pictures and carvings. Most of these carvings and pictures include the different yogic positions in the art of yoga.</p>

<p>Santhoshi Mata temple in Jodhpur is considered to be the original temple dedicated to Goddess Santhoshi Mata as there are many temples dedicated to the goddess across the country. The temple is situated in Lal Sagar which is quite near to Mandore. Mandore is located about ten kilometers from the city of Jodhpur. Santhoshi Mata is worshipped mostly by women. The temple became famous after the release of the bollywood movie-“Jai Santhoshi Maa”.</p>
<p>The goddess of luck, prosperity and health is worshipped on Fridays as it is considered to be the most auspicious day. According to legends, believers and devotees who worship Santhoshi Mata for 16 consecutive Fridays are believed to be blessed by the goddess with health, wealth and good fortune.</p>

The Adhar Shila temple or the Baba Ramdev temple is an ancient temple that is located on the Massuria hills. The temple is located in between Nagori gate and the Jalori gate in the city of Jodhpur.</p>
<p>The Ramdev temple is a symbolic representation of devotion and divinity. However, the temple is surrounded by many legends which lend it a mystic aura. The entrance of the temple includes a small board which reads-“enter at your own risk”. The Baba Ramdev temple is mostly visited by people who are fascinated by the mystic aura that envelopes the holy premises of the temple.</p>

<p><strong>Ganesh Temple- Exquisite Temple in the Ratanada Hills</strong></p>
<p>One of the most beautiful and large temples in the city of Jodhpur is the Ganesh temple which is located in Ratanada hills. The hill is named after a dog called Rata. The history of the temple can be traced back to around 150 years when a huge statue of Lord Ganesha was discovered. The statue is eight feet in height and five feet in width. This huge statue was placed on the Ratanada hills and a temple was built in its place. The temple is located 5kms from the main city of Jodhpur. The statue of Ganesh was discovered by a teacher named Radidas from a place called Gorunda.</p>
<p>According to the Hindu myths, Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvathi- the god and goddess of Hindus. Lord Ganesh is the God of all Gods with an elephant head. According to the legend of the temple, the idol was discovered by the teacher on the Ratanada hills. The temple was then built on the hills. Today the temple is visited by millions of tourists from all over the world.</p>
