Finroo is a cool new site (still in ‘beta’ at the time of this review) that sells unique, limited edition t-shirt’s that are printed in bunches of 100. After those 100 shirts are sold (each numbered for authenticity), then that design is no longer printed. So if you’re looking for something personal that no one else is wearing, then these might be worth checking out, as you’ll probably never see anyone else wearing the exact same shirt.

What else makes Finroo unique you ask? Here’s a couple things that I found to be pretty cool: First of all, the shirts are printed on a bamboo/organic cotton combo tee, which supposedly feel pretty comfortable (I’ve got to try one sometime). They also donate $1 from every purchase to charity.

When you visit the site, you’ll notice that the most popular shirts will gravitate toward the homepage, allowing you to make a move before it’s too late and the design sells out. Artists might also want to check out Finroo, as they can score a $4 commission for each shirt sold with their design.

Although the shirts didn’t seem to be flying off the shelf when I checked out the site (probably because it’s so new), I was actually fairly impressed with the designs. You’ll some some sites that seem to accept every design that’s sent to them, but these definitely have some quality artists behind them. I noticed a few colorful, abstract designs that really caught my eye when I visited the site. If you forced me to pick something to gripe about, it could be that all the designs I’ve seen so far are printed on white tees, which might not everyone’s cup of tea. And the prices are a tad higher than some other t-shirt sites. But still, go check em’ out.

If that means anything to you, then you’ll probably want to check out Jon Kruse’s t-shirt site, Mediocore Clothing. The site is all about going back to days when we kids, when cartoons were awesome. While the selection isn’t great, he does have, in addition to the turtle shirt mentioned above, a pretty cool Shark Week shirt as well.

I should mention the 100% Awesome Guarantee too. Have you ever got a shirt that was a little too small, or maybe too big? Or you got the shirt and the quality was just blah? Well, Jon offers a full guarantee that his shirts will be awesome. You can return you shirts for a full refund for whatever reason, even if you bought the wrong size. If every company did this, the internet would be a better place.

They pride themselves on selling shirts of the “clean humor” variety, so you don’t have to worry about wearing these tees around mom. Their ultimate goal, however, is simple: to make you hotter.

One of their shirts that I like, which will no doubt make you the King of Hot, is the “Hill Valley Hoverboard Champion” shirt. Anybody? No? Um…OK, you guys apparently aren’t “Back to the Future II” fans…well, as Mike, the owner of I’m a Hot Tee said on his blog, not many people will know what this shirt is about, but if you’re wearing this shirt and stumble across someone who does, you will no doubt be his/her King of Hot (by the way, this shirt is printed on The King of Comfy, an American Apparel tee…some of their other shirts use other brands, though).

Oh, and since I love you guys so much, I’ve got a little discount code for you. Just use the coupon code “aaron” when you checkout, and you’ll get 15% off of your order.

If you’ve been following my blog at all, then you know that I really appreciate shirts that make you think, that stand out from all the shirts with monotonous and sometimes boring, bland, and uncreative sayings (come on, we’ve all seen them).

That’s why I really took a liking to Cultural Cotton. They strive to produce “culturally relevant” t-shirts that actually mean something. They want you to think about what you’re wearing, and make other people think when they see what you’re wearing. That’s something I definitely appreciate.

Of course, since they want to be socially conscious, they go with American Apparel shirts as the shirt of choice for their designs (since AA doesn’t use a sweatshop environment, and such)…and probably also because they make the most comfy shirts ever…

When I checked them out, shirts were $20 each, with free shipping if you buy two. If you’re looking for shirts that are relevant to today’s society, and actually mean something, give Cultural Cotton a look…and let me know what you “think” in the comments.

Here’s a cool new concept: a t-shirt that you can personalize, and make it different every time you wear it. The idea behind MarkerTees is pretty simple: each shirt you purchase comes with a marker. You write on the shirt, and when you wash it, the marker washes off too, leaving you with a clean slate for a new design or phrase the next time you wear it. This is one of the more creative ideas I’ve seen for t-shirts recently.

They’ve got some pretty good ideas. One shirt has a a name tag design on it (one of those “Hello, my name is ____” tags) , another has one of those yellow faces but without the mouth, and another says “____ for President”. They all leave you with a good oportunity to write something clever and witty (or something dumb).

I’ve haven’t tried one out yet, so I don’t know how well MarkerTees work, but it’s a cool idea nontheless. They run for just under $30 a piece.

That’s right, folks. According to the About page over at FibreClothing.com, their t-shirt designs are so good, they’ll make pants obsolete. Now if that doesn’t get you excited, I don’t know what will.

Haha, alright, honestly, Fibre Clothing has one of the coolest designed t-shirt websites I’ve seen in a while. The slight movement in the background, the menus, the way the colors go together…if the same people that designed the website are working on the shirt designs, then we’re in for some good stuff. I mean, I usually start to roll my eyes and get ready to hit the back button when I realize that a Flash site is loading, but with this site, I don’t mind at all.

Right now, the shirts are priced at about $19 apiece, but they’re currently having a $5 off sale, and it doesn’t say how long it lasts, so you might want to check that out. They print their shirts on American Apparel, some available in both men’s and women’s sizes. There’s only 5 designs available right now, so I assume that they’re sort of new, and while the selection is decent, I’m expecting some really good stuff in the future.

Another thing I like: one of their tees, called “Conflict,” is meant to raise awareness about the tragedies going on over in Darfur, so they’re handing over 50% of the profits from that shirt to the Save Darfur campaign.

While Fibre Clothing isn’t quite good enough to make me get rid of my pants just yet, this is one company that I will be on the look out for.

If you’re into eating healthy and/or caring for the environment, then you’ll definitely love Code Creations. Code stands for Casual Organic Designer Eco-wear, and their claim to fame is that their shirts made from 100% pure organic cotton, hemp, and bamboo. They’ve actually got a pretty in depth explanation on their website about the farming process, just in case you’re curious.

Code Creations has shirts in categories ranging from Vegan and Vegetarian to Eco, Aliens, and Animal Rights (and coffee and chocolate, ’cause chocolate is yummy). If you’re not into the whole save the planet/ecosystem thing, they’ve also some other cool graphic designs that you can get, so you too can have your own bamboo shirt. I haven’t actually worn one, so let me know how comfortable they are. (And about one of the shirts above…I have no idea what “Wonderful Johnson” means.)

Another cool thing is that they donate some of thier profits to help with animal rescue (25%!). Now, I might not agree with all of the messages on all of thier shirts, but they do get you to think a little more about the environment and healthy living. If you’re looking for some t-shirts that are unique, then definitely give Code Creations a look.

Apparently it is an Italian word, whose meaning varies depending on your tone, facial expressions, and probably a bunch of other things. In other words, it’s a genius idea for a t-shirt company.

For example, the shirt below is called “Houston, we have a frustone!”

It isn’t the prettiest store…and I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t find any shipping information without actually putting something in the checkout bag. They also seem to ship from Europe, and charge in Euros, which might make buys a little expensive for those of us from the USA. However, they make their products from bamboo, and try to be environmentally friendly, so if you’re into that, you might want to check these out. They’ve got these bag things too, so if you like that sort of thing, you’ll also want to check it out.

Whatever frustone means, I can you tell one thing: the t-shirts at frustone.com are, without a doubt, definitely frustone.

Baseball fans and New Yorkers certainly know about the recent buzz concerning Jason Giambi’s new mustache.
Fuzzy Ink has released a new special edition shirt to commemorate the stache. The cool part is, 15% of the sales are supposed to go to charity. Now, I really don’t see what the big deal is about a little hair growing on Mr. Giabmi’s upper lip, but if it brings you some sort of amusement, go for it.
