!! I REMEMBER !!

I remember the day when they had announced, “…and the last student who got selected in ING is Abhishek Bothra” and it became one of the happiest night of my life. Since the time was 12 in the night and I waited so long for the result.

I remember the day when, at the time of joining, I had this notion that this was the time I actually waited for. Getting a job and almost with a maximum package is like a dream come true for a MBA student. But , unfortunately things didn't work out for me and after 5 months I left the organization.

I remember the statement my dad had quoted, “ babu, if you are not liking the profile then leave and don’t worry”. But somewhere down the line I knew that he never wanted me to leave, I always knew that if I would have given it a shot, I could have stayed for longer. Nevertheless, what has happened has happened.

I remember those five months when I was sitting almost idle and did nothing productive. Started with some GD/PI batches and tried my luck with coaching institutes, for god sake. Slogged my ass and tried every jack of mine for some job in banks, for family’s sake. At last, I started with an “Advertising” business, with a dream of doing something big, for society’s sake. And like always, nothing turned out the way it should have been.

I remember when, after my convocation, I had a word with Ms Bhumika Bansal regarding some job at NDIM, and after some negotiation she finally agreed and I was offered with a profile of Assistant Professor. Though I got no subject to teach (genuine reasons) but the profile was cool and package was less. But the best part is, I am working again and it is always better to do something rather than sitting like a pampered son. I, everyday prayed that my enthusiasm should never go down. Even if I get to hear some scolding or if I am doing something which I am not supposed to do and I get into bad books of some colleagues, I certainly know that I am on track again.

I remember when , I had promised myself that, I won’t lose my patience now and will give my best shot every day and , touchwood, I’m glad that I am happy after so long, I am still unstable and so is my mind but I now have some goal in my life. Lot more to achieve and lot more to fulfill, motivation and a pat is what I seek. Hope to work out productive this time.

Realization - Resolution

There comes a time when we realize that something is missing in our life, and that realization is normally realized when we listen to some song or we watch some movie, and because of which we recall all the memories where we see our self being happy. But when there is an advertisement or a commercial break in our life, we do not actually realize the thing that we just missed some important part during that advertisement and we shuffle the channels of our life.

In my life, movies play the role, role of writer. As in whatever thoughts I pen down, I’m always influenced by some or the other movie. We as a human being do believe that movies are all imagination ( sabhi patra kalpanik hain, reality se koi sambandh nahi), but some idiots like me go deep and analyze that somewhere in some movies they do portray some characters or put up some dialogues which creates an impact.

Like SHOLAY, the epic movie, there was never the real JAI or VEERU, but we saw the movie and we understood that, no matter what, (Teri jeet, meri jeet..meri haar teri haar….jaan pe bhi khelenge , tere liye le lenge, sabse dushmani), Friends are always important and we should never let them go.

Kuch Kuch hota hai, Rahul told everyone that sab kuch ek hi baar hota hai….THE PYAAR bhi. And we believed him and in fact its true. And the list and the learning goes on and on.

I was watching Yeh jawani hai deewani and I agree to that fact (A dialogue by Naina to Bunny), we can’t do everything we want, some or the other thing will be left undone. It’s better to enjoy the moment. I know, in this cruel world, ‘realization’ wont help me to survive. But I also do not want to let the moment go away like that. So my 'RESOLUTION' would be to live every second of my life being happy and making others too.

Like the old saying, “enjoy today, like there is no tomorrow”.

So I’ll make; 1. My friends realize that how much they mean to me, 2. My Sister realize that she is the person I love the most, 3. My parents realize that there is no life without them, and most importantly to those who made me smile, I’ll make them realize that they are some cherished, unforgettable party of my life.

One should always remember that, we are remembered through are good deeds. We are no machines that always runs with a bang, we are no android that takes every application. Last main hota yahi hai, Oh Shit!! Hang ho gaya. So Be you and Be True.

!! OBVIOUS LOVE !!

Love is obvious in life, it can be either "Dekhte hi ho jane wala love " or " Baad main realise hone wala love" and it can take place because of so many obvious reasons.

Reasons like;

1. You see someone (him/her) smart/beautiful and you feel love which is an infatuation actually but yes, you obviously feel that it is love.

2. When there is misunderstanding between the two and the other gender comes in as a 'Savior' then there are obvious chances of getting attracted and falling in love

3. Love starts with a fight, very true. Unless we don't know a person, there are no chances of falling for each other, and knowing each other is only possible either by friendship or by fights. A sense of bond is obvious in this case.

4. Spending time with someone, at colleges, coaching centers , schools and when it is to bid farewell then someone would obviously feel that he/she was in love with him/her.

Crux of the part is; the word 'OBVIOUS' plays the vital role.

As they say ,"ladka ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte"....!!Obviously!! Either of them will feel something for the other.

You feel , you fall. You enjoy every part of it and the best part is when you meet your concerned person "Chup CHup ke". No meeting can beat the feel which this meeting has.

You eat together and sometimes when you are at home you make sure you manages the time to eat at same time. You walk together whenever get the chance, you share almost all good/bad stuff happens. 'N' number of reasons you have with you to enjoy.

But yes, whatever the reasons are, love is love. Some call it infatuation or some call it reality. It does bring smile on our face and helps us to collect some golden part of it and save it in our memory. Memory which is always hidden from our Husband/Wife.

I wrote this to negate the fact which says , " pyaar sirf ek hi baar hota hai". Sorry!!

I have luckily and proudly experienced it four times and that is the reason of mentioning 4 reasons above. My love stories started with some reason and ended with some reason, which was but obvious.

So everyone of us should fall in love atleast once. Remember 'ATLEAST ONCE'.. rest is upto our capability.

Work and Weather ( Part 2)

I can easily remember the golden days of my internship with Crayons advertising where I use to sit and have written on the same topic with a coffee on the desk and thoughts in my mind.

That day it was raining, raining heavily and we were working, working madly. I am actually going through the same phase today. The only difference is; I now have a cubical to sit, I now write while i’m in a bank and I have no work unlike Crayons.

(we’ll discuss on ‘No work’ in some other of my writing and for some idea you can always read the articles i.e. ‘Mixed feeling’ or ‘Changing Lifestyle’)

I now encounter gigantic towers everyday, giants as in the huge Buildings which have names. Like I sit in NARAIN MANZIL, same way every building/tower here have some names with them. They look terrific when its full sunny day or when its raining heavily.

But today I got the chance to see them covered with the black dark clouds as a background and it gave me the feel of some animated Hollywood shoot. I was so mesmerized to see and couldn’t stop myself to click a picture of the view. I took my earphones , played the song ‘ek ghadi teher ja’ from the movie D-Day, Sung by Rekha Bhardwaj, and started clicking some pictures.

Out of some 4-5 clicks I selected one and I then used a bit of instagram (an application to edit the pictures) and made it more lively. Instagram rocks!!

The weather today helped me to re-click the photography bhoot in me and I enjoyed it to the core, forgetting all the non-sense stuff I do and ignoring all the pressures.

Changing Lifestyle

"A lot can happen over a coffee"

4^th Saturday in office and as usual I am feeling very sleepy and lethargic to work today. Though I have got some follow ups to make but I will do that on Monday with a fresh mind. As I’ve mentioned earlier that I am feeling dull so I had one cappuccino @CCD some minutes back and some quick thoughts came to my mind which I would like to pen down.

Being into corporate surely changes a person and his lifestyle. Same has happened to me.

The learning and specially the earning made me more matured and has changed the way I use to live and to spend.

I like being in formals, talking business, less of leg pulling stuff during office hours, trying to be in limelight and trying to connect to everyone, excel sheets, Daily Sales Reports, coming on time, staying late etc. etc. have become my daily schedule. That was about the living part.

As far as spending is concerned, I now think less while spending. Every 28^th I receive my salary ( though its been 2 months only) I forward major part of it to my dad and rest stays with me. So the rest that is with me is the liquid money jisko main sirf food items main kharch karta hun. I like shopping but I don’t shop regularly. I am a foodoholic so I hunt for good food everytime.

Shoes are my weakness but if I buy them I wont be having enough bucks to spend on other items so I’d b very happy if someone gifts me a pair of shoe.:)

That’s it, yahi sab baatein thi which I wanted to share and after reading this if someone feels to help me with the shopping stuff, I have some list to share too.

!! A SMALL HOPE !!

A Small Hope @ ING

Starting a day again, a fresh day in the bank with some fresh calls in my list. No meetings are fixed as usual but was able to see a hope to pick one ROF* ( relationship Opening Form).

During one call, the client wanted to inquire about savings account and I was pitching for salary accounts as usual. So I went down in the branch to give the lead to someone and met Mr. Rajendra ( Manager Operations). He asked Shikha to handle the query as she is from liability sales CASA i.e. Current Account and Saving Account. During the query session Mr Rajendra asked me about salary account and some more details about the documentation of some company.

Then he made me meet one client of his for the salary accounts and we’ve had nice conversation which gave me a new hope and a sense of motivation which I lost yesterday.

Now I am all rejuvenated and have tighten the lace to work again with the same energy and enthusiasm.

Eagerly waiting for the next week because either it will change my attitude towards banking and its monotonous feedback within me or it will be the same as usual. I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying to god to help me find the better way.

ROF: When a lead is cracked, a client has to sign a form of 6 pages with the first page on the company letter head, which includes the company name, Number of employees, Average salary, turnover and various other details. This form is called as Relationship Opening Form.
So in banking term if a CSM ( Corporate sales Manager) has picked any ROF, is a sign of another step towards the account opening and goal achievement.

!! MIXED FEELINGS !!

MIXED FEELINGS

Finally I am working. Working as an employee of ING VYSYA BANK as a Corporate Sales Manager- ASPIRA. ( ASPIRA is our product name)

This is my first job and the moment I got selected, when they said,”Next who got selected is – Abhishek Bothra” and I was the happiest person on this earth. GD was good, Interview was good, I was confident and I was ready to enter the corporate and deliver the efforts.

To be honest I never wanted to be in banking industry because I knew that the work here is very monotonous and I can finally feel the same feel which I felt earlier. Though my profile is a bit interesting; interesting because I am suppose to roam around in market and hunt for the clients. As the quote says, “We are the hunters and service people are farmers”.

But after working here for two months, one of training and another On The Job, I am bored. Bored of whatever I am doing. I can call it either De-motivation or lack of concentration. I think of something else, I think of something which I could do or could have done. Something that interests me but this really doesn’t work in the practical life because a normal human being has so many responsibilities because of which he/she can always not do what he/she thinks of doing. So, same is the case with me.

Here in bank my profile is challenging as compared to other profile but getting the fresh leads from market and cracking the same for accounts is even a tougher task to do.

I am paid well which is luring me to stay and work. Another reason would be my parents who are happier than ever. So I am all confused.

I know what I have to do here but I don’t want to do, I understand my work culture here which I never wanted to understand, I am giving my 100% and putting all the efforts which I never thought of putting.

I guess either I need some time or I have less time to decide what to do, where to go and how to tackle the situation. The more proactive I will be, the more benefit it will generate for me. Let’s see what happens and where I take myself considering all the circumstances.

10 Things I Hate about Delhi

1. Population – Bhara poora parivaar.

It’s more than what I see. I sometimes feel like; India’s more than half of the population is from Delhi or is born in Delhi. Every place is crowded, almost impossible to find peaceful site. More human, less cows

( please thodi rajasthan se le aao )

2. No Cow Milk – Holy Cow

It feels so awkward to go to a dairy and say “bhaiya gopaljee ka doodh do half litre…. Full cream” and

the worst part is when someone replies , “gopaljee nahi hai parasjee challenge?”

No offences for mother dairy, I agree that the milk is certainly purified, the best among all. But if we kept on drinking dairy milk then denim would go down the waist automatically.

For the youngsters – “It will result in comparatively less stamina during sex.”

3. Pollution – Dhuan Dhuan ho raha hai sama

Number of cars in Delhi is almost twice as the number of people. If I would have to stay here for more years, say 10-15, I would surely die of Asthama instead of cancer or what so ever disease. Every single household has minimum two cars. People buy SAPNO KA GHAR later and thinks of getting a car early. Hats off to sikh brothers , they live on rent but owns the best cars available.

Delhi ke logon – From where the hell you all are earning so much of money.

4. Show off – Hum main bhi hai HERO

The other name for Delhi can surely be the show off city. More the show off, more is the style.

Starting from a kid of 7^th class to a student of 12^th class, everybody here in Delhi believes that funky hair style , ankle length trousers , ultra low waist denims, branded clothes, getting cozy in public place and walking as if they all are some Rishtedaar of john Abraham or some model will make them look good or people will consider them trend setters .

Sometimes I feel like, simplicity never works (reason I’ll give aagey ki list main…plz wait)

5. Money matters – Paisa Bolta hai

Money is worshipped more than god. “Oh My God!” movie ke baad to god has got lesser priority now.

I agree that without it we cannot survive but I disagree to the fact that ‘only’ with money we can survive.

Har kisi ko crorepati ban na hai, and jinko nahi ban na hai they always try to portray ki hum crorepati khandaan ki aulaad hain.

Paisa kya bolta hai : talk with me, else no one will talk to you.

6. Committed Girls ( my personal opinion) – jo pasand hai unhe hum pasand nai hain.

Every second girl is committed here, and I never liked the first girl :P .Jokes apart, having a boy friend is a trend over here, getting pampered, and Blah! Blah! Blah! One thing I never understood that , if you are in a relationship then in which contract its mentioned that only a boy will spend PAISA , because every boy doesn’t have a PAISE KA TREE at his home. So that’s why I said in the 4^th point … SIMPLICITY never works, style maaro ladki hai, style mat maaro ladki nai hai. 95 out of 100 girls are like this only.

As in general also SIMPLICITY never works, sorry for the line but agar aapko chutiya banana nai aata to aap sabse bade chutiye ho.

7. Hum bhi hain josh main, yun na aankhen dikha.

Hats off to all the boys or male personalities in delhi. The moment anyone says a single line or something ulta pulta , they are ready to fight and the patent line they will use is “ yahin ruk , abhi bulata hun” or

“agar ek baap ki aulad hai to haath laga ke bata” .. ab bhai haath nahi lagaya to matlab wo bechara ek baap ki aulad nai hai kya :P

8. Change is everything.

People come and change and those who are permanent , they change everyday. When I came to delhi, I told my cousin that I wont change but I was so wrong because with a heavy heart I agree to the fact that .. yes!! I’m changed. Nahi pata kitna but I can sense the badlaav. I take more tension unnecessarily, I stay serious unreasonably, funny talks are no more funny when its done against me, I became more of a womanizer and less of a FRIEND. Kis reason se change aaya wo pata nahi, but I unchaged the fact that I can’t change.

9. People stay far away, ghoomne niklo to lagta full day.

Agar ghumne ka plan hai to 100 ka note to soch lo sirf conveyance main chala jayega because no place is near to where you stay. If you’re in car make sure that you are ready for the traffic, if you’re on a bike make sure to have someone sitting at the back, if you are in a mood to walk…. CANCEL THE PLAN.

10. I hate you , like I love you

The worst part with delhi is, we know we don’t like it, we know we hate this place, we are aware of all the ill-effects , the controversies, the bad environment , the atmosphere but no one can leave delhi permanently. This place has that charm and attraction be it negative or positive , it holds each and every human being to the core. Mujhe delhi pasand bhi hai aur napasand bhi, that’s why I hate it like I love it.

Best quote for delhi – you can hate this place but you can never ignore this place.

A COFFEE- Coffee with Crayon

A COFFEE

(Coffee with karan?? No, simply No….. Its “COFFEE WITH CRAYON”)

Writing on such topic surely needs a coffee in one hand, if you love coffee then only you can write on it (my perception) because the fact is you can’t love your girl friend unless and until you have one. J

A Coffee is something that subtracts the laziness from each and everyone, something that helps to recollect memories, something that helps to push the ideas from the sleepy brain.

So, with the awaken brain and rejuvenated thoughts I’d like to pen down or would like to share the ideas or thoughts that are approaching my mind.

Monday Morning

Monday morning, today, is breezy and spanking new, unlike previous hot-shot ones’. Though, people are busy working but the point of difference today is the airy and soothing weather. With a cappuccino in one hand and a pen in another, I can write as much as I can, jab tak coffee chalegi tab tak mere haath challenge J

Lucky Workers

How lucky the workers are who are cleaning the garden outside not because they are cleaners but they can sit outside, they can gossip and can enjoy the breeze with a Sutta.

Freezing Cold

Along with the cool weather out the AC’s on my head is icing the atmosphere and forcing me to get a pull-over which I can’t and this fucking coffee is helping me in no ways. I probably should go inside the kitchen and sit on the burner for some heat on the ass effect.

Bunch of Interns

We three ( Garima, mitali and I ) must be thinking that what fun is it, sitting inside , working on the desk, looking at the peacock spreading the beautiful feathers? We are the interns with no work, I mean no work load, though, we are allowed to go and enjoy but I guess it doesn’t look good. We probably must sit and check the CALDATA ( it’s the folder where the stuff of employees’ here is saved and we can check and see what work is required to do over here)

End of thoughts

Finishing the coffee, I’m now left with no thoughts, feeling sleepy again. I can’t even watch some movies on the laptop ( I’m afraid of HR manager here who is sitting right behind me, I deduce that she’s strict)

15 more minutes to go for lunch, so with this piece of writing, coffee with crayons episode first of sharing my views ends here and I now sign off with a quote;

So, I’m just gaining knowledge through “CALDATA”

I’m doing stuff and writing in my own way

THE PRESSURE IS ON

I’ve always heard the fact that, things done post lunch are not tedious or with pressure. Atmosphere is quite relaxing but this thing doesn’t work when you are in office. Office says,

” Relax as much as you can before lunch because after that Bosses are Don and the Pressure is on.”

This is the first time in office I’ve seen some people in tension (obviously because of work load) unlike the previous days and I remain silent again along with a bit of work.

Along with my analysis on Rural Market I found that Mr. Narendra was quite and was silently doing his work, first time saw him in tension.

Amardeep was as usual chilled out, smiling and completing her tasks assigned.

Ms Aastha Kataria ( the trendy lady with a nose piercing, Glad to know her name) is free, with less work. I watched her watching some watches in the magazine. (I know this is an example of wrong English and this has to be something like this “She was checking out some wrist watches” but watches-watches was going so rhythmically so I’d put it like that way only )

Gayetri (Beautiful voice not so loud) was doing hell lot of work since morning till now and Ms.Pragya Sarkar ( The Fifth Lady in the office. She is married, she looks young, she talks well, I’d give 3 out of 10 for the choice of sandals she wore today, a perfect arrogant boss to any junior and a pierced nose …aarrgggg!!! ) kept on forcing gayetri to do the work and she was successful ( SHE is used for both of them)

Varun was quite a surprise element today, he was shouting on the phone, I mean on the normal note its almost impossible to hear him when he speak on the phone. Apart from that he was also doing his regular work.

Ms. Tanisha, i would like to thank her from the core because she was out for some work for last 3 days and I got the desk and chair with a desktop again. (This is the day that the lord has made, let me be glad and rejoice) but that happiness would not last for long.

On the whole each and everyone I knew were under pressure today and were trying to complete their work ASAP. One last thing would like to add , it felt so good that (I cant explain) a person came to me and said “Collect your cheque” though he mistook me for some other guy , but I swear I was one the ninth cloud.

Nevertheless, this day will come too very soon and with this cheqy note I sign off with a stanza;

“Some are good, some are bad

With lots of work they make you feel bad

Less they appreciate more they toss

They can do anything, they are your boss.”

Aao Job Job Khelein/ End of the Silent Day

Starting a new day again and stepping for success in Crayons Advertising ( Yet again a dream ) , When Jha sir calls karan and says “AAO JOB JOB KHELEIN” and putting a smile on my face , I am now energized to accelerate more for work.

Monday is supposed to be a working day (usually hectic as compared to other days) according to the other employees here. But what bad could happen than finding out that you enter the office and you see someone else sitting on your chair, basically that was never my chair , I only sat there and worked for last 7 days :P (That someone else is the real owner and she is a Lady :D, and the best part here is Name Unawareness ) but I seriously got emotionally attached to that desk. Oh God! Losing a desk made me feel like losing a job the very second week of my internship. (NO JOKES APART, My whole zone of work is shifted , ghumta hi reh gaya aaj to office main)

A working Monday is, I guess one of the ecstatic day of my life because Bothra is back and I am relieved to see myself back (Talkative, Extrovert and now looking forward to make people smile) Obviously it will take more time to jell up with people and making them feeling comfortable.

Finally!!

The so called silent days are now gone ( I hope so) , had the conversation with few colleagues and yes I was correct ,they are also new and they were also confused with the environment over here. One thing I can now surely say is I am now making myself adaptable to the corporate world, I know it’s quite early to conclude this but I am sure enough.

Adding some more friends, Office Friends I must say, in the long friends’ list of mine.

All and all a mixed starting of this new day and the first Monday of my office life as an intern was an assortment of activities, from losing a chair to conversing with the employees to feeling fresh after a week to meeting friend of mine from the same batch ( garima, she is an intern too) and having a cappuccino in the last.

Well, a concluding idea for other offices is, please put a Café Coffe Day machine because it helps new employees to feel fresh and to do a time pass when they are new. With this Ending my note with a quote,

Another Silent Day

(Part 2)

I guess I have to make it a schedule of being silent or I should keep a finger on the lips the moment I enter the office. (Like we use to do in our nursery classes)

Without writing much of a gyaan, I begin with the introduction session of the CHICOS and CHICAS of the office with more entries in the article today and surprisingly I know some of the names too.

Mr.Faizan (I hope I spelled it correct) the son of a well-known minister ( Mr.S.c.Ahmed) simple , cool and relaxed guy with a bit of required attitude , one thing which I’ve heard about him is ; he never shows off being a son of a high category personality ( Quite Impressive) and if this is true then ,he is undoubtedly a guy to be friends with.

Mr. Beard ( No name) , tall and a fat guy with a tattoo on his elbow , some spider web tattoo , with a Mexican beard , I’ve seen him circulating circulars most of the time and he sits with the creative team I suppose. ( creative team main hona chahiye mujhe :P )

Not because of creativity, because of tattoos and I am sure most of them must be having nice tattoos.

Mr. Vaibhav, Remember!! The Wikipedia guy, he is the one. (Finally! I had the conversation with him and I was so happy to know that he faced the same dilemma which I am facing i.e. what to talk? With whom to talk? Can I even talk?)

Mr.Varun, with Specs, well built, stylish, Brainy and tidy person in the office, who sits in the same row, next to me and according to him,”less talking is the best part of office to concentrate more on the work assigned)

Mr. Harendra, Soft Spoken, down to earth, Sober and always ready to work. He is also in Client Servicing team.

This was all about CHICOS and not much to mention in CHICAS category because I did not see anybody new except one girl (I don’t know the department) with a tattoo on her shoulder , some sloka in hindi. (Sexy tattoo)

Rest all are the oldies which I’ve mentioned in my previous writing, the same 4 ladies ( Brahma ji ne chup rehne ka vardaan diya hai, the only thing they do is passing smiles) , the same environment , same gestures from each and everyone , nothing new today.

One bad thing about the work culture over here is, employees working here only works nothing else ( I may be wrong ) but this was the thing which I’ve noticed , groups hain but kya hai kaun hai kuch idea nai hai.. Feeling a bit awkward, living a life of a introvert person from last 3 days which I’m not and now I think I have to post one update on facebook which I never wanted to do i.e. “My Internship has got the remote minus the volume button and it is irritating me somehow being mute all the time”. ( koi to baat kar lo yr mujhse L ) I spend my high quality time during lunch time only, I wish I could eat more to enjoy more in the office ( Yeah !! Yeah !! I know office is not the place for entertainment but its even not the place of boredom)

To conclude, I now got some work where in I need to push myself harder to get the work done according to the requirements and I guess today would be the day when I’ll be busy too.

That was more about Being Silent the whole day, lot more to come but till then I sign off: D

Beautiful lines from the song GUNCHA KOI by Mohit Chauhan , which reminds me that falling in love is no harm or no crime . It’s infact a natural calamity that everyone must enjoy and should feel happy about it.

Some must be against it , some must be in favor and some would love to stay neutral , but just imagine a day when nobody calls you , nobody shares a joke to make you smile, nobody pulls your leg or nobody treats you special, what would you call that day, “BULLSHIT” I guess.

I am not saying that the one you love is suppose to love you too, its just the feeling which either of them should have

INTERNSHIP... The Meaning

INTERNSHIP

Write this word and press SHIFT+f7, thesaurus would give the meaning as PLACEMENT, POSITION or JOB.

Sitting as an intern and typing this word with the set combination obligated me to write on this because what thesaurus said and what I face is totally different.

PLACEMENT: We must always keep that in mind, Internship has no relation with Placement, because we’ve been hearing that placement is something that our college provides us and internship is something that our college provides us :P ( sounds same but the difference is , earlier is permanent and latter is temporary). We work for 2-3 months, I mean we sit in the office for 2-3 months and working hours are approximately 20-30 in total. Being an intern we are so lucky because we can roam around, we can poke anyone ( i don’t do) and we can watch movies ( the best part being an intern)

POSITION: Position is nothing if we are working as an intern; we get a system without a net connection ( No access to FB) we sit on the chair and keep looking at who enters and who exits, we can have lunch at the specified time and drink as many coffee as we can so as to be awake and alert. One position during internship is BE THE CHAIRPERSON and we do the NOT SO REQUIRED WORK in the required period of time and then go back to the hostel and feel tired as if you’ve been working since ages.

JOB: No job. Only line that best explains the Job of an intern is “YOU ARE BUSY DOING NOTHING”

( This was the third piece of writing from me and as I’ve mentioned I’m doing this unnecessarily because I’m busy doing nothing, this is my job and I’m placed on this position )

Well, that was the short yet boring explanation of Internship and now I sign off :D

Another Silent Day

I never knew that people ( some exceptional) working in the office are so busy that they have no time to say hi/hello. What kind of busyness is this? They do have time to roam around , they do have time to attend the calls, they do have time to gossip but I guess early in the morning saying ‘HELLO’ would definitely hinder their schedule. ( this is what I felt)

So, sitting idle again with my laptop, let me try to figure out the employees working here(till the time my boss gives me some work) , obviously I won’t be able to know them all( because they hardly speak to me) but let’s see what my observation tells me about them.

Everybody here ( Crayons) got specific work to do;

One person with specs, serious looks, quiet and peaceful (Sorry, I don’t know his name) is a silent observer here, observer in the Wikipedia ( Kuch kuch to karta rehta hai).

Mr. Narendra (My boss, I mean, he is the person under whom I am suppose to work) is a busy and cool person.

Mr. karan another passionate guy under Mr.Narendra and he is always in a hurry to do the work assigned to him (God knows why).

3 lady (again I’m unaware of their names) sits in front of me (I mean I sit in front of them : P ) They look at each other sometimes and they do what a lady is suppose to do i.e. Passing a witty smile and saying something through eyes ( I bet no man can ever make out that they conveyed ) The only time they talk is Lunch time or when they are attending calls.

Lady 1. Smart, Tall, Catchy Smile, Low voice, and always checking out something.

Lady 2. Fair, Cute, grey eyes, mostly in Indian outfits, serious and en elegant employee

Lady 3. Stylish ( the one who enters the office with sunglasses and she removes it when she reaches her platform of work) fair ( I guess she puts a makeup, but it suits her) , and I must say a bit of attitude.

and here enters the fourth lady who sits at the back , with specs , Pierced nose ( the thing I hate the most) Trendy, modish, and ring tone of her phone is sweet ‘I’M YOURS by Jason Mraz’

Mr. Ranjan , President of Crayons, is a gentleman I must say and a chilled out person, and one can always make out when he enters ( because his boots are noisy, like old hindi movies when villain use to enter with THAK-THAK sound )

Mr.Sandeep, works in the servicing team , a friendly Marwari, always ready to gossip and a clean hearted person.

(entry of a muscular guy) Not sure, whether he is popular or not, A dude among all the employees, left ear pierced and some different hair do.

Mr. Diwik, I know him since I was in school, he was my senior and elder brother of my very good friend, a person who seems to be lost but many strategies are running in his mind, he looks the job of internet or online ad’s , a person with a laid-back attitude.

Ms. Receptionist , a confused lady, but a cute one ( the moment I saw her I recalled the ad of OLEY TOTAL EFFECTS :P)

I guess in two days its enough to know so many ‘PERSONALITIES’ altogether, and I end it here with a ringing tone in the phone of the Fourth lady ( Mentioned above) which is , for me, a hooting sound ( As in KBC) and my mind says ‘Oh! Samay samapti ki ghosna.’

Many more updates to come regarding “Another Silent Day” Because I’m sure lot many days of silence are in my list.

First Day at Work

New Phase Of life.

Starting the thing which I always thought of, starting the phase which I always dreamt of, started working the stuff, the stuff which was my hobby a day before and today it’s a step ahead so as to achieve the career objective.

INTERNSHIP, A small stride towards the corporate world/ Advertising world. First day, in CRAYONS ADVERTISING, was good , did some fun filled creative activity. Saw the cool atmosphere, the friendly environment and a boss who treated me like a friend. I guess it was the first day, so the treatment was a bit lenient, I hope it goes on like this only for next 8 weeks.

One thing I did not like was people here did not talk much. They do stare at the new entrant but no activity from their side , may be some were new to the company (someone from the company told me) or may be they have their own comfort zone. I exactly don’t know what the reason was but a zero conversation with others on the very first day. ( Unlike me)

Talking about the work, work culture is superb. There are separate teams to work on separate areas. Like; Creative team, Media Team, Campaign handling team and it goes on. I made one video on tree plantation

( The first professional video) and I felt awesome.

One more thing I’d like to add on ; Got to see the politics , I mean JISKI JIS SE BANTI HAI, USKI JYADA CHALTI HAI, I guess it happens everywhere and I then remember that I told my dad, “DAD, no Sifarish let me do the work on my own” but I guess after some time if things did not go well, I also have to think of some JUGAAD.(this day should never come)

Right now I’m focusing on doing the work , giving my 100% and impressing my boss by working on the stuff which is more or less my cup of tea. So, I guess it’s the time to tighten the lace to increase the pace and its now time to make CRAYONS my playground.

Looking forward to it, and waiting for the positive responses from everywhere.

SILENCE

The Strongest Form Of Communication ??

Finally!! I am feeling so delighted writing again. (after 3 months i guess.)

and even more energetic to write on one strange topic i.e. "SILENCE IS THE STRONGEST FORM OF COMMUNICATION"

Actually, while reading this blog my friends would definitely think that either i'm mad or gone mad. Because it was some 2 weeks before when i wrote my communication test and i did not study anything and this was the topic given to us to write on and to criticize, so, i just wrote what was running on my mind that time and i was able to frame my thoughts in a fair manner.

It was something like this;

"Silence was not and will never be the strongest form of communication. YES, the word SILENCE and its uses are applicable somewhere, the place where students visit most often i.e. LIBRARY.

We use this form of communication only at temples and this should be done to limited extent only because silence only shows that we are feeling or thinking something, it doesn't portrays our ideas or convey the thoughts.

Even the dialogues used in bollywood , "SILENCE SHOWS THE CONSENT", is not acceptable when we are talking of formal/business communication. Unless and Until we use oral/written or verbal communication as a medium to convey, share, transfer the ideas, speech and content, the communication is not considered as the active communication.

It is well known that communication comes from the word 'COMMUNICARE' which means 'TO SHARE'. but silence or being silent is never helpful to share. Silence shows that we are listening but being silent all the time proves that we are more of non-active or marginal listener which indirectly creates a barrier to communication.

It is somewhere written that "GOD HAS GIVEN US TWO EARS AND A MOUTH" which means that we hear twice as much we speak. But the thing is we sometimes forget to speak.

So, lets not forget the thought, lets not remove the qoute , Start talking, start sharing , Start speaking, Be active....TODAY & NOW. "

I don't know about the writing but one thing which is very clear to me now is, i can go without studying atleast in this paper :P

!! DELHI LIFE !!

Life here is tough, tension full, strenuous.

Basically the student life because here no one is mediocre, everybody is master in their own art. For the one, who wants to prove himself/herself, he/she must have to add their extra effort.

Just entering and speaking doesn't help, what one need is to be always ready for counter attack. If one is speaking something, then it should be succinct, precise and meaningful.

Like we people (Small town people excluding exceptionals) speaks irrelevant and we are respected, raising the voice means one is a good orator but people in delhi take it is a

BULL SHIT.

The fact is , speak only when you are aware of whats going on, otherwise practice

"COMPLETE LISTENING."

Normally there are two category of a person, One, who has the knowledge but doesn't show and Second, the one who has the knowledge and shows it like a king. and i happily belong to the third proud category i.e. Knows nothing but i always speak as if i am the editor of let say, TIMES OF INDIA. ( I sometimes believe that i'm actually speaking so good and sometimes motivating too.)

People here in delhi always wears a mask. A mask which hides the identity, the originality, the simplicity. So i got the mask too (obviously not from palika bazar or janpath). The mask helps me to hide my loneliness, the sense of fear, the tension of proving myself.

After adopting this, i actually feel happy and rather free to do the things where i get recognition. and thankfully i made so many good friends who cares for me. ( n i always pray that, they proves me right in every aspect) I can now freely show the actual potential i have to prove myself on every platform.

On this note i'll suggest or i'll promise myself that i will always wear this mask forever and i will give my 100%.

Its been like 10 days in delhi, in NDIM, The student life and The struggling life.

struggling because the area where i live is the area cum swimming pool when it rains. and i then wish, if i could fly or if college authority allows us to go in bermudas.

Coming back to the point, 10 days in delhi and i am learning so much, i am grasping couple of things at a time, i learned what my weak areas are and i became more confident.

I imagine, what would happen to me after 2 years. Either i'll be the same or I'll Turn into a new leaf again.

So, what delhi tought me was listening, learning from others and the most important thing i learned was the term 'CHILLPILL'.

We as a human being takes lot of tension, so do I. But i'll be a bit mean and will say that I'm a step forward. Now after this term i always take a CHILLPILL when i'm in tension and then automatically comes a backup for every problematic stuff.

So, competition is everywhere and there is always a race of coming first. But one important thing one must know is TAKE A CHILLPILL. :)

NOTHING PERSONAL

In my blog there'll be some posts on which you might think that "Abhishek is going personal" but its not true..

All the poems posted are based on imaginary topics, no relation to living or dead, and the explanation written are just like that, nothing serious.

As far as Public Exposure is concerned, i feel that i wont ever write such things which i should not have written.

I write explanation so as to give the feel to the poem.

And i know that i don't have to write these things publically but yes i will never do that to some extent. People should know that I am always not funny, i am always not melodramatic, there are some serious aspects in me too which i try to hide sometimes and finally i fail to do that. :D

The problem is that people take me for granted and they think that there's no harm to harm me.(Some exceptional)

So, its time to retaliate and i just want to say is i'll write what i want to write

WHY IT HAPPENS TO ME

Long ago there was a group called SCRAPPERS in Bikaner Boys School (class 11th and 12th).

That group had six members i.e. Dhairya,Ankur,Dhruvendra,Rajesh,Sanjay and Me. We 6 shared some super beautiful memories together. Memories of Playing cricket at dhairya's place, Eating hell lot of samosa's in school, leg pulling of each and everyone in the class, Birthday party at CHANKYA, Making a model of BANK in projects, Laughing at Dhruvendra when he was told to read something during the class of english, The prank with Sanjay, Financing done by Ankur everytime, doing almost all the course during exams on the PHONE itself. Everything was going good, smooth and without speed breakers ....but only till school time.

By the time when we all were separated in different colleges (Dhairya, Sanjay and Dhruv in ECB , Rajesh went to delhi for his CA and Ankur was here doing Bcom with CA) the scene of misunderstandings started.

I was the culprit somewhere because i didn't give proper time to them when i was in college because of being so friendly with others i forgot that there were some people who need more importance and the worst thing that could happen to me was that, They first deleted me from their list without even sorting out the matter and i felt so bad and never talked to them.

Though Situations went easy as the time passed on and we came in contact again (long story) minus the feel and zeal and friendlyness. This time i was more of "JUST FRIEND".

So, i wrote one poem "WHY IT HAPPENS TO ME" 2 years back after all this thing happened. Actually i dont know that is it seriously a poem or what, because i wrote what i felt.
