I recently attended the ZOMG! Blogger Bash to celebrate the collaboration of the awesome Zoe from The London Lipgloss and Rockalily Lipstick and it.was.amazing! SO many bloggers attended, as you've probably seen from all of the blog posts popping up but I thought i'd do one anyway ;)

It was wicked to meet so many great girls all at once in such a light hearted and easy environment! (Take note Towib..) The bash was a good excuse to have a proper chat with a ton of people but not over twitter for once. For me this was amazing as lets face it I don't get out of Devon much ;)

There were all sorts of bits and bobs to take part in if we wanted to ranging from decorating cupcakes and a crafty cards section to trying on wigs, hats and having our photo taken. Plus we had the opportunity to try out the brand new Rockalily ZOMG! Lipstick , which was after all the whole reason we were there :)

So all in all it was a truly great night and i'd like to thank ReeRee and Zoe for the invitation and throwing the bash! It can't of been easy but you guys did a wicked job! Congratulations Ladies!

my aussie more challenge

I've been really rubbish with this! Partially because i'm pretty forgetful (see wash 6 taken on the train home) but also because aussie shampoo isn't the only one i'm using at the moment. I alternate between using a shampoo that pulls out the brassiness from where I keep dying my hair (and it seems to be working) and conditioner only washes from time to time because the winter chill has really dried it out :( Then on top of that I try to avoid washing my hair everyday, it's hassle and it just doesn't need washing so often.. yawn! Why does this have to be so complicated?

Any who.. you have probably seen similar blog posts by other aussie angels where they are counting the number of washes you can get from one of the new larger bottles. I have been gradually doing the same and considering my sheer volume of hair I think it's a really good thing for me to do! When I have eventually finished this bottle i'm going to do the exact same challenge with a normal sized aussie shampoo bottle I have waiting in my cupboard to compare the value for money.

I'll keep you up to date with my progress with a collective post from time to time similar to this one :)

How are you all doing? I've had a bit of a blog catch up this weekend which means my head is buzzing with clothes and jewellery I need to shop, places I have to go and how to redecorate my lounge (if I could). I haven't had much time to read blog posts recently which makes me sad, but then as you've probably noticed I haven't had time to post either. There is so much I want to tell and show you, even more so after reading so much today!

The main things; my new job is amazeballs! I love it. My style is going down hill as i'm fed up with my wardrobe so I definitely need to do some shopping and quick! I'm in london again this week coming and will be at TOWIB on saturday so I look forward to meeting so many of you again!

One being the fact I'm wearing some lush new pleather shorts that Shaun's mum generously picked me up from New Look and 2 this whole outfit was styles by Shaun. I didn't have a say in any of it! i missed you from far away for far too long

I definitely need to get back into the swing of taking photos, these are horrendous! Sorry guys!

I'm more and more regularly reaching for these super skinny black jeans, i've needed a pair for a while but put off buying some topshop ones which is where I normally would buy my jeans. My sister pointed out her jeans are only £9-£11 from primark and she's never had issues with them so after thinking about it for about a month I investigated and was pleasantly surprised! They're quite thin but that's what I need from a pair of jeans as the weather changes, thicker than leggings but thinner than your average denim. For a bit of extra warmth I wear thick long socks under boots and long tops or jumpers. The thing about these jeans is that they are SO easy to wear and accessorise, there's not an on trend colour trans-season that won't work well with them and that's why i'm a little addicted ;)

Does anyone else feel suffocated by football at the moment or is that just me? It's everywhere. I'm on the train each morning with lads around me talking about the man city /united game, lunch break at work and the same happens, at home I have to watch it, go over a mates for a few drinks and chilled night out and in the background is cheering shouting stamping and 'oh ref ref ref!!' It amazes me how into it some people get. I get that I don't understand it and I don't have the passion but people get so overly emotionally, it's like a new form of patriotism but for each city or so. To football fans.. please know that i'm not dissing football, i'm just amazed at peoples reactions to it so please don't comment defending it because I will never understand ;)

i wanna be a man cub and stroll right into town

Granted I wore a million layers over this before strolling into town but this is the base of the outfit that was disclosed in only a coffee shop and my apartment :) I still have a love affair with shorts and this continues even though the weather is poor. Since wearing this I have actually invested in some primark cosy tights which are ah-mazinggg! Seriously, they are thicker than leggings, softer too and suck your legs in a little bit which if you're like me then that's what you want from a decent pair of tights. I love them.

It is something that I have had to do because of having other commitments. Again my apologies, I did really enjoy designing blogs for a lot of lovely ladies! A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to my fabulous followers!!

I have been unintentionally absent for a little while as have a number of bloggers. Both on here and twitter you'll notice I haven't been updating much over the Christmas period. I think you'll agree that Christmas is a time for family, a break from life where we relax a little too much, eat plenty of rich food and play a collection of ridiculous games. So this is what I have been doing, along with preparing for Christmas itself of course but it's not the only thing that has stopped me from being in touch. For a week Shaun and I stayed with his family in an incredible farmhouse near loddiswell. I have photos to follow because it really was gorgeous and so very festive, we couldn't of picked a better setting to spend the holidays. There was one draw back though which slightly explains my absence; we had no phone signal and the smallest amount of Internet connection I've ever known! 0.07 download.. It was impossible to do anything with that. But hey it was sort of nice having a little break from technology .. Sort of ;)

I'm going to follow on with some pictures of my Christmas and leave it at that. I'll be back to normal very soon! If you have done a post on how you spent your Christmas this year feel free to pop a link in a comment, I'd love to have a read :)

i forgot to tell you the happy ending .. you

So I failed ever so slightly with updating regularly didn't I.. My apologies for that. Everything has just happened all at once and I have been super mega stupidly busy! What is stopping me from blogging you ask? Well..... I've got a fabulous new job so have been travelling to and from Fantasy Shopper for numerous meetings and awesome things. I've also been terribly sick which has slowed me right down so when not working or fantasy shopper'ing i've been sleeping as much as my body will allow. I also have a number of design projects on the go as well as christmas projects so it's all a little hectic!

This is the outfit I wore last weekend to go christmas decoration shopping. Being my second christmas living away from home, I didn't really have many decorations of my own so I set off with my bestie to fill the car boot with festive goodies, spend too many monies and have a jolly ol' day!

This is the outfit I wore out to a friends birthday /another friends leaving do last weekend. I'm liking a lot of black in my outfits at the moment, usually with a touch of colour which in this case is simply nude /cream. The outfit really worked because as usual I didn't want to feel over dressed and I managed to keep warm thanks to the jacket (and vodka and lemonade). I don't really have much else to say about this outfit, simplicity doesn't need explaining I suppose. Though it might be worth knowing that I only bought the necklace recently so if you like it then primark may still have it in.

Since Shaun has been absent this week I opened my Christmas workshop in our lounge, it has made me very excited having all of the bits and bobs about that i'm using to make my wrapping paper, christmas cards, gift cards, decorations and presents! Yes i'm a very busy bee at the moment and today has been extra hectic trying to get things done before a certain somebody see's them! Looking forward to showing you some of my creations, though others will have to wait as friends and family do know about my blog and occasionally visit, I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise :) So the presents will remain secret until after christmas i'm afraid. They are great for birthdays and other occasions so it won't be a waste I promise.

I'm also well on my way to filling the other halves stocking now which is fab as i've never put together a stocking before. There's something so lovely about discovering little bits across different shops that I know he will like. I also think doing this sort of thing can show how much you know about a person :)

The planning of SW1 is still under way and with such a great amount of interest in the meet we are currently talking dates. Presenting Ashleigh's £100 outfit challenge entry for h&m.. I like it! Hope you do too :)

I knew as soon as I began this challenge that I wanted to make an outfit using a black midi skirt. I fell in love with it's femininity straight away. I decided to opt for the slight mix of feminine and masculine materials because I think they look great together and can really dress up and down an outfit. The jumper is one of my Autumn favourites from H&M's collection and I knew I wanted to layer it with a plain white shirt. You could even pair it with a mustard shirt to match the animal motif, however I couldn't find one and I do think the white shirt breaks it all down a little so it's a muted outfit, perfect for a date, for a meal with friends or even shopping. I saw these wedges in my local H&M last week and knew they would be comfortable. They're super light and have a chunky platform both at the front of back which makes them easy to walk in and perfect for any occasion. They also do a lovely grey colour! I don't think I'd personally buy the tights from H&M as you can get a lot cheaper at somewhere like Primark (I could have chosen a little something else too, damn!). I love the rings. I think it's important to add a little bit of colour into a black and white outfit; even if it's just a nail colour or even a lipstick. I love the way the owl's eyes match in with everything. I didn't choose a necklace because of the animal motif; you don't want to look too overdone!

total: my outfit comes in at a total of £99.91 so I shall leave it at that! Huge thank you to Abby for involving me in the £100 outfit challenge!

Hi all! Hope you have had a fabulous weekend! :)

Gogo philip is a vintage inspired jewellery designer that I have lusted over on asos from time to time knowing the pieces are intricate and of high quality. Take the chain of this necklace for example, the detail of each individual chain is just gorgeous, I have never owned a necklace like this and I must be honest it isn't something that I'd of picked out for myself but it has significantly grown on me. It is so easy to wear and looks lovely worn with a white button up shirt hidden beneath the collar. I have yet to wear the egyptian cuff that gogo philip sent but I can imagine it with my black chiffon long sleeve dress and other similar simple items. It is the kind of piece that would make simple, one colour outfits a little more interesting.

The range on asos will be growing in the coming months as gogo philip launch the new collection. If you guys have any gogo philip pieces let me know or show me any posts on them. I'm starting to give them more of my attention now, especially the small star and lightning necklaces!

My other newbie in this post is my awwwwesome coat! It is soul cal from republic and i've been dying to share it with you ever since I bought it. The thickness is perfect and because it zips up as well as having the toggles it's lovely and toasty! This coat will definitely serve me well in the coming months.

my christmas wish list

It's becoming more apparent that I am difficult to buy for.. but I don't really understand that! I'm always talking about things I want :P So to make it easier for friends and family and to give you guys some ideas, here is my massive wishlist! It ranges from cheap as chips to a less sensible £225/£219 (yes you guessed it, that'll be the lulu guinness lips clutch and amazing michael kors watch) But to help along the way it is complete with links, pictures, sizes and all ;) Easy!

Of course there is lots lots more I would like, as with most girls my list is never ending but this will do for now ;)

Annoyingly, taking outfit photos since the clocks went back has been pretty awkward for me which is why there haven't really been any on here.. apologies! i'm craving: affordable fashion

I feel like its been forever since I last blogged, but in reality it's only been 5 days. The weird thing is that I didn't really notice, I have so many things going on in my life at the moment I actually struggle finding time to do the one thing that is the reason I'm so busy. I owe a lot to be blog, it's bought me a second income (sort of), opportunities such as visiting london and bristol here and there, involvement in things like fantasy shopper and I'm always meeting / talking to new people. My blog definitely needs a bit of nurturing, especially seeing as I went and gave it a makeover recently. So my pledge to you that I will try to blog more regularly :)

In saying that, this post is about an online store that I have ordered basics from a number of times before but on recently visiting their site i've noticed they have massively upped their game. Chiara fashion is affordable fashion down to a t, literally and I love it ;) Too corny? Good..

I am still loving the colour wine and although it makes me look as pale as a babies backside (evidence) I can't pull myself away from this rich luxurious colour. Odd seeing as I have always hated red, my nan has been trying to make me wear it for years! (and years and years..) I can picture myself wearing and layering a lot of the pieces above with one another and because of that I know I could get an awesome outfit for under £100! So.. southwest blogger meet: an awesome update!

Thank you for all of your interest in my previous blog post :) Our baby southwest blogger meet up for Jan/Feb 2012 has developed into something fabulous! We have gained a sponsor who is full of ideas, well connected and also the founder of fantasy shopper!

We have the opportunity for our venue to be the exeter castle ballroom which is gorgeous, I think you'll agree. Along with attendees such as some of your favourite everyday gossip/ celeb/ fashion magazines, goodie bags for everyone, stylists, talks if you fancy and much more! This of course, is only possible if you guys want to attend!

The meet up will take place in early 2012 so we're talking January /February but the exact date has yet to be decided. So if you have any prior commitments, holidays/etc at any point in Jan/Feb but would like to attend then let us know the dates in a comment below. It would also be perfect if those of you who are interested could pop your email address in a comment so that we can keep in touch and send you regular updates on SW1

there's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start

Luring you in with a picture of the aussie hunks.. ;) It's going to be a photo heavy one! Okay I lie, there's only thirteen but they're big'uns and the event was amazing as are the photographs so enjoy :)

As you may or may not know, I became an aussie angel a few months ago and was assigned to the miracle moist tribe, This meant that I got to go up to london for the aussiversary party! The night was fabulous, it took place on the rooftop of the century club, a new experience for me. I met some truly amazing people (of what I can remember!) and the experience along the way was just great. We had hair stylists, people doing nails, makeup, champagne flowing and the place was littered with aussie products and australian themed decorations. There are so many wonderful things I could say but i'm running out of words for 'awesome' ;)

Josh from James Brown's Great British Hairdresser was a featured stylist at the event (the last photo). Not many people knew who he was but I watched the show right from start to finish so was a tad starstruck! Until the champers and rose took it's hold at least and thats when we snapped this picture, and I began talking to him.. if that's what you can call it.

The dress I wore is my new favourite! It's the aubergine asymetrical dress from love, I teamed it with a forever21 necklace and h&m heeled chelsea boots i'd picked up earlier that day along with some tights and my h&m black leather jacket for the stroll over. I'll show you in more detail next time I wear it, promise :)

Teeny shout out to the wonnnnderful people that made this event and my whole weekend what it was.. Holly (aussie), Steph, Carla & Sinead! You're all awesome :) And not forgetting the lovely Ling, Sam (photographer) and the hunks ;)

the £100 outfit challenge from daisybutter : monki

Given the opportunity, I would shop at Monki every day, and every night, for every occasion... Too much?! I love layering up at this time of year, like every other fashion-conscious yet practical girl out there, but I also enjoy mixing textures and colours for a unique, eclectic look. Little touches like clashes of texture makes an outfit stand out from the crowd while you go about your usual - fabulous - day, as well as giving you an I've-lived-and-experienced, "devil may care" edge. I'd wear this outfit for everyday: to Uni, a coffee date or just to see a friend: I love the clashing velvet (even though I cheated with that item!), two knits, and some patent loafers.

calling all southwest bloggers

I will most likely be attending the christmas meet up in bristol. BUT a few of us have had some ideas pushing about on twitter to do something early 2012 a bit further down in the southwest and i'm currently in talks with a couple of companies about attending! Seeing as Tamsin is the lead on this one i'll let her take it from here! :)

"Hi i'm Tamsin! I am a Londoner and Essex girl, born and bred, but earlier in the year, I moved to Dorset to start teaching at my new school. It's poles apart from my busy, bustling lifestyle I'm used to, but I am learning to love it. Since living in the SW, I've definitely found it harder to get back home for some fab events going round the bloggosphere such as TOWIB, and I know a large number of bloggers in the SW feel the same, especially as TOWIB is such a success.

SO. I've decided to create an event for the SW bloggers who find it hard/too expensive to get to London (and any others who'd like to come!). At the moment, venues being looked at are in Plymouth or Exeter, as we need a city in the middleish with a good main train service. A date for this event is looking at being in early 2012, so there is loads of time to book trains and hotels if necessary to make it as cost effective as possible for you all. Hopefully, one or two companies will be there which will be fab! As far as venues and ages go with bars, I'm going to make sure that anyone under 18 is more than welcome to come, but obviously drinking won't be allowed for you guys unfortunately.

All I really need now is an idea of numbers so I can inform a venue when I do book somewhere. So if you're interested, please let me know in the comment box. Please link this blog post up to any other bloggers you know in the SW who may want to come..all are invited! the £100 outfit challenge : bershka

Evening girlies! I have my second £100 outfit challenge. It feels a little odd putting an outfit together this way. Since fantasy shopper I am so used to layering the tee and shaping it so it fits around the jeans or shorts etc and there just not being a model in the photos. It makes it easier to invisige an outfit this way I think. But hey ho this is what I see when I look at bershka at the moment.. sleek leather trousers with uber soft and flattering oversized tees and shirts. That put together with some amazing gold and black accessories I found on the website and we have a definite winter warmer swanky outfit for me. I have lots of birthday dinners and drinks coming up and this is absolutely something i'll be attempting for my casually-dressy look that appeals so much these days.

I'd like to introduce something that has been invading my schedule, assisting me at my expert procrastination skills and reducing my imaginary bank balance ever so slightly.

We all love a good bit of shopping, it's fun, relaxing and who doesn't love to gawp at pretty things! In steps Fantasy Shopper.. where I have been and you can shop using fantasy money to buy all sorts of bits to fill your fantasy wardrobe and the bits you really like you can even click through and actually buy them, for real! So you've built up your fantasy wardrobe and now what? It's time to create outfits to go to fantasy events and style other outfits for yourself, access other peoples wardrobes and style outfits for them all the while, liking and commenting on peoples creations and that you lovvvve those boots with that skirt. We can comment on bits and bobs throughout the different shops whether it's love or hate, let your followers know and see what they have to say about those scandalously high shocking pink heels. Our feeds are also updated with other peoples purchases, meaning you can click along and grab them too or comment on their shopping habits ;) By doing all of this liking, commenting, styling and following you collect badges for the many accomplishments and goals hit which will earn you more money!

The possibilities are endless, as is the time spent on the site! (Especially mine) On top of all of that there are more cities, to shop in, the stock is updated regularly with new items that come in store, as are the events and there is just so much more that it's impossible to mention. You really do need to experience it for yourself to understand how awesome it is :)

In some ways Fantasy Shopper is like polyvore, but it's much more interactive and a lot more fun! I've grown to love my fellow fantasy shoppers, know their style and the way they must wear things in real life.
