Thanksgiving pumpkins on the hay!

Round and chubby there they lay!

Tasty and yummy with orange skin!

I wonder whether my pumpkin pie will be in.

I just made up these lines :-). Don't know if you will like it. But the drawing of pumpkins on hay is pretty easy and you can make this cute Thanksgiving card within four minutes.

Lets start.

Start by writing a lot of W on two sides.
Write another set of sleeping Is in the center.

Write two more set of Is on each side and our bale of hay is ready.
To draw pumpkins we write a long O and Cs on one side and turned around Cs on the other side,
We write 11 to make the stem.
Write series of lower case "e" to make tendrils.

Our next thanks giving card is ready.

I have not colored it again. Will post the colored picture soon.

Thanksgiving turkey

I am very fine turkey and I go gobble, gobble, gobble!

Let us draw a very fine thankgiving turkey for our kids friendly Thanksgiving cards. Super duper easy , cute and lots of fun :-).

Start by writing O and a long W under it.
Write a V for beak and a U under it.
We then write another O for the body and three Ws for the neck feathers.

Write two Ls for feet and Is to make feathers.
Join Is with two sets of turned around Us.
Finish feet by writing overturned V.
Write 6 for eyes.

Our cute little turkey is ready! I have not colored it yet. I will post the colored picture later. This is just to get us started with our Thanksgiving Cards Project.

The word "moth" brings up drab brown butterfly like insects sticking to screen door or wall on a summer night. But there's much more to these mostly-night time fliers than meets the eye.

Lets draw this adorable night creatures.

Write two upside down U. Join the free ends of U with sleeping I and ends of long thin U with another U.
Make wings with tilted J.

Make antennas with long thin V.
Make eyes with U.
Decorate wings with O. Make ridges in body with sleeping I.

The very hungry caterpillar

Ever read the cute book ,"The very hungry caterpillar, " by Eric Carl. The caterpillar is so cute and so easy to draw as well , at least the version that I have.

Lets start.

Start by writing O and then Cs as in the second picture.
Make eyes with dots and mouth with turned around D.
Put two antennas with 9.

Color and enjoy your cute little caterpillar!!!

Caterpillars make me hungry. Time to eat.

I have used watercolor to color again.My kids used crayons. I sometimes think that I should put some coloring pages here ( for my kids and may be you can use them too).

Colorful dragonfly

My drawing skills have improved and I am glad that it's getting better. I hope that if you are following my blog your drawing skills must have improved too :-).
Let us draw another dragonfly, super easy, very beautiful and fun to draw (sure to impress).

Start by writing two O ,U and then V.
Write a long thin U.
Write four Us (bring ends of U close together) for wings.
To make legs write two I.

Write turned around L to finish making leg.
Give body and wings a dimension by writing many I.

Color and impress! Our dragonfly is ready.
I have used watercolor to color mine.

Caterpillar

We have caterpillars in my garden. They are adorable. I have drawn it here. We also saw them in California Academy of Science. They are really cute and they eat so much. I sometimes think that if I were a caterpillar I could and I would eat so much too :-D.

Lets draw a caterpillar now. This will be good for my son's science project too.

Start by writing a D.
Write lots of C.
Write a lot of V in the body.

Put dot for eye. Write W for mouth.

Color and our caterpillar is ready.

Aphids

We have aphids in my garden and they are really disgusting. They are so many that I decided to draw one here. I have to get lady bugs to eat them.

In the meantime let me show you how I drew one.

Start by writing O and then write a small V inside it.
Write a turned around C and then a C.
We join ends of C to the head with bent I.
Join the body with small I.

Make the sections in the body by writing lot of I. Make eyes with U.
Write six U for making legs.
Finish legs by writing another set of thin long Us and the write I at it's end.

Color and our disgusting aphids are ready!
I wish they do not eat my apricot leaves! :(

Easter Craft Ideas/ Kids Easter Activity

This is my attempt to make super easy, cute Easter egg crafts in very less time and with materials you already have.

The materials that I have used are hard boiled eggs,water bottle caps,construction paper,some kind of white bean,a black permanent marker,any kind of color (poster or acrylic),glue gun,scissors,wool and pencil.

This is what I am planning to send for the Easter Party at my little one's school. I hope kids will like this Easter craft, and after they are done playing with them they can shell their egg and eat it. My son thinks that these eggs are too cute to be eaten. I hope you will like them too.

Penguin Easter Craft from boiled egg

We are going to snow in two weeks. Kind of late but there is still snow in Tahoe. My kids think that they might see penguins in Tahoe :-D. Well, penguins do live in snow :-), however not in Lake Tahoe. However , mummy can make penguins for her dear darlings.
This again is another very simple Easter craft for young kids. Just follow the directions as in the picture and your penguins will come skiing along.

Cut two heart shapes with black construction paper.
Cut an orange triangle for mouth, and two orange ovals for flippers.
Use a dry erase marker or non toxic water color for makings eyes and buttons.

Stand boiled eggs on bottle cap. Glue wings and mouth and flippers.
Make eyes.
You can put two bottle caps on its head too to make them "Party Penguins."

My penguins turned out simply cool!!!!
I am pleased and so are my kids!

Easter bunny craft from boiled egg

Our quota of Easter Craft is not done yet. Here is another something that we made. It is the cute Easter bunny himself. Now this is my surprise to Wee and her brother. A hippity hoppity bunny in their Easter basket. After they are done playing with it they can as well eat it.

This is again a super simple Easter Craft which you can easily make at home with things you already have at hand.

Stand boiled egg on a bottle cap.
Cut two ears out of felt and glue them on.
Make whiskers out of toothpick.
Stick a bow made of a different cor felt for flower.

Make eyes and mouth with marker.
Glue another piece of triangular felt for nose.

My cute Easter bunnies for my Cuties is ready. They will be surprised when I make something like this for them on Easter.

Hoppy Easter and Hoppy Salad.

Easter Lotus Craft from boiled egg

Kids are challenging. My next challenge was. Mummy I want a flower!! Girls and girly things go together :-). My son roared away with the lion we made for my daughter and now my little Wee is crying for a flower. So here comes another cute Easter Craft.

We take orange construction paper. Fold it into four . Cut different size petals.
Sit the egg on a bottle cap. Glue it on the cap.Make small circles on top of this egg with water color or marker.

Arrange petals as shown in figure . Put a rubber band around it to secure the petals.

Gently open the petals.
Your flower is ready.

My Easter egg blossom is very beautiful. My little Wee was so happy with her "Princess Flower" that she wanted to eat it right away :(. Any ways we made lots more. It is super easy, cute and lots of fun.

Easter Lion Craft from boiled egg

My little one likes lions and so does my friends daughter Jasmine. Jasmine helped me make this cute lion with a boiled egg. It is really easy. You can play with your Easter egg and then eat it too. Hope you enjoy this cool Easter animal Craft.

We need boiled egg. yarn, tooth picks , hot glue and scotch tape.
We need to stick this yarn in the scotch tape as shown in the picture.
Make this long enough to make mane of the lion.

Stand this boiled egg in a bottle cap.
Glue woolen mane around egg.
Make eyes and write w for mouth.
Make whiskers with toothpicks as shown.
Make nose with triangular construction paper.

Have roaring fun with your cute Easter Lion Craft!!!

Bee Easter Craft from boiled egg

I made this with my son and daughter who are still very young. This preschool Easter craft turned out really cool. Most likely it will be gift to all the classmates in my kids class.

We need yellow construction paper cut in two hearts.
Similarly we need two black hearts.
We fold the tips of heart as you see in the picture.

Use two toothpicks to make antennae.
Cut two circles and paste it on top of the toothpick.
Sit the boiled egg on top of a bottle cap.Color with yellow and black watercolor.
Paste wings and antennae.
Make face with eyes and smile.

My Easter egg is BEEutiful :-). Happy crafting.

I found this project on the web but it did not have instructions along with.
This is how I made it.
Things needed

empty tomato can ( I used safeway diced tomato can).
Some wooden barbecue skewers
paper clovers cut out of construction paper (different kinds of green). I would make one of mine a lucky clover.
some tissue paper (any kind of green) shredded into strips.

Take the barbecue skewers and paste clovers on the tip one on each side of one tip of the skewer so that you cannot see the skewer tip. Make many stems of this kind.

Put some shredded tissue paper in the can and arrange clover stems in the empty can. Fill the can with remaining shredded tissue papers.

You can now decorate your can with stickers as my son did or with green permanent markers as his friend did.

We had super fun making this and it turned out really cute. We will use this as a centerpiece. :-)
