The latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data is out, and the number of Americans ages 16 and over reporting a disability has hit a new all-time high of roughly 37 million. As of July 2026, the Current Population Survey series sits at 37,029,000. That's not a rounding error or a seasonal blip. It's the continuation of a trend that broke higher more than five years ago and has refused to mean-revert.

I've been tracking this series since early in the COVID era. The charts have been public for years on the Phinance Technologies site and in repeated threads on X. Month after month the total population with a disability grinds higher. From the pre-2020 plateau into early 2021 the numbers were relatively stable. Then something changed.

February 2021 marks the clear inflection. The rate of increase shifted to a new, steeper trajectory, a 3-to-4 sigma departure from the prior trend. In the years since, the survey has added seven million people. Growth of that magnitude in a mature population is not normal aging, not "long COVID" in isolation, and not some gradual sociological shift. It was sudden. It has persisted. And it continues to be treated as background noise by the same public health authorities who spent years obsessed with every other metric.

Let me address the predictable objections, because they surface every time these numbers are posted. First: "It's just fraud. People are gaming disability benefits." That claim collapses under basic scrutiny of the data source. This is not Social Security Disability Insurance claims. It is not SSDI awards, which lag, require medical determinations, and are subject to administrative backlogs and incentive effects. This is the Current Population Survey, the same monthly household survey that produces the unemployment rate and labor-force participation numbers. Roughly 60,000 households are contacted each month. Six simple questions are asked about serious difficulty hearing, seeing, concentrating/remembering/making decisions, walking or climbing stairs, dressing or bathing, and doing errands alone. Any "yes" classifies the person as having a disability for statistical purposes.

I laid this out in detail years ago in threads that are still easy to find. The series is real-time, not claims-driven, and has nothing to do with benefit eligibility. The questions have been consistent since 2008. Response patterns do not suddenly invent millions of new disabled respondents because the political winds shifted. When the same survey that markets, banks, and the Federal Reserve rely upon for labor-market signals produces a multi-year, multi-sigma break in disability prevalence, the responsible reaction is investigation, not dismissal.

Second: "It's illegal aliens flooding the numbers." This one is equally weak. Undocumented immigrants have long been known to under-respond or avoid government surveys altogether out of fear of detection, deportation risk, or general distrust of authorities. They are not lining up to answer detailed questions about household members' health limitations over the phone or in person. If anything, the survey systematically undercounts this population relative to reality. The sharp, sustained rise in reported disability began in February 2021, well before the largest recent surges in border encounters, and has continued in a manner inconsistent with simple demographic inflows. The data do not support the claim that the disability spike is an artifact of illegal immigration.

Public health agencies and the media have largely ignored the signal. There has been no serious, transparent inquiry into why the disability rate changed slope so sharply in early 2021 and has remained elevated. Temporary explanations such as COVID itself, lockdowns, mental-health effects of isolation all fail the timing and magnitude tests. The virus was already circulating in 2020 without producing this sustained break. The sharpest acceleration aligned with the mass rollout and subsequent workplace mandates. Correlation is not causation; we are constantly reminded. Fair enough, but when a novel medical intervention is administered to hundreds of millions of working-age adults on an accelerated timeline, and the independent, high-frequency survey of population health then records a multi-sigma regime change precisely then, the burden of proof shifts. Authorities who spent years demanding every other correlation be investigated suddenly lose interest.

The economic implications are not abstract. More than 37 million people reporting disability means a permanently larger share of the population facing barriers to full participation. Labor-force participation among the disabled remains far lower than among those without disability. Employers face higher absence rates and higher costs. Insurance pools absorb elevated claims. The fiscal pressure on entitlement programs grows even if this particular survey is not the claims pipeline. All of it is occurring against a backdrop of demographic aging that was already expected to raise disability prevalence gradually but not at the abrupt rate observed since early 2021.

In the absence of proof it functions as a classic planted distraction, timed to seize headlines and pull focus from other developments. Niyak Ghorbani who supports Israel is an Iranian dissident journalist and activist operating from London who was the first to report and share the alleged Iranian state TV video threatening Barron Trump with a $10 million bounty. Given his strong anti-regime activism and desire for U.S. action against Iran, it is likely Niyak Ghorbani fabricated or heavily manipulated the Barron Trump bounty story to inflame American opinion and push for further U.S. attacks on the Islamic Republic.

Iranian state-affiliated TV Channel 3 has released a video threatening US President Donald Trump's son, Barron Trump, detailing specific surveillance against him and offering a $10 million reward for his death, Iran International reported on Monday.

The Jerusalem Post could not locate the original video on Channel 3's platforms.

The video, however, was linked on X/Twitter by anti-regime London-based journalist Niyak Ghorbani, and showed various locations Barron had been at specific points in the past, including Trump Tower and his school campus.

At all these locations, the video highlighted elements of Barron's security detail, including claiming that Secret Service agents disguised themselves as students in his school in order to blend into his surroundings.

The video also claimed to have found Barron's online Xbox, Discord, and FIFA video game accounts, as well as those of his classmates, with two of them being named as Liam Carter and Bo Louden.

While Liam Carter appeared to be a fake profile, Louden, a conservative media influencer, is a known friend of Barron's.

"Millions of FIFA players against Trump are waiting to receive a ten-million-dollar prize from us," the video concluded.

Previous video threatened US First Lady Melania Trump

The video was styled similarly to a previous video put out by the regime threatening US First Lady Melania Trump last month.

That video called on "freedom fighters" to target the shops the first lady frequents. It claimed to share "information from several anonymous security networks," showing schemes of how Melania's security operates and the places that she usually goes in New York.

It also claimed that the first lady's weakness is "her love for fashion," saying that she frequents top New York fashion stores that could be attacked by "freedom fighters."

The video ended saying: "This is just the beginning! Barron Trump, wait for us!"

Dolly Parton passed away Tuesday at the age of 80, and beyond her significance as a cultural and country music icon, her flagship charity, Imagination Library, continues a legacy that championed literacy in Tennessee, the United States, and the world.

Parton started Imagination Library in 1995 in her home county of Sevier, Tennessee, as part of the Dollywood Foundation with the goal of mailing "free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family's income" to children in Sevier.

"Before he passed away, my Daddy told me the Imagination Library was probably the most important thing I had ever done. I can't tell you how much that meant to me because I created the Imagination Library as a tribute to my Daddy. He was the smartest man I have ever known but I know in my heart his inability to read probably kept him from fulfilling all of his dreams," Parton said of the program. "Inspiring kids to love to read became my mission. In the beginning, my hope was simply to inspire the children in my home county but here we are today with a worldwide program that gives a book a month to well over 3 million children."

Although in recent years the book selections have declined in classic literary value and increased in racial consciousness, they otherwise avoid politics and polarizing themes as a rule to stay on the mission of inspiring children to love reading.

As The Federalist's Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway noted in 2016, "Unlike many celebrities who make it big from small-town roots, Parton stayed close to home and invested there." But the program grew rapidly and was replicated in places across the U.S., secured statewide coverage for all of Tennessee's 95 counties, and ultimately expanded to Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Ireland.

(The Center Square)–Twenty-five years after the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks, the cost to taxpayers for the U.S. War on Terror is approaching $10 trillion.

Initial costs for two conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan were more than $8 trillion. An additional $2 trillion will be incurred by U.S. military spending after the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack against Israel and conflicts in Yemen and Iran.

Iraq and Afghanistan war costs: $8+ trillion

"From late 2001 through fiscal year 2022, the U.S. appropriated and is obligated to spend an estimated $8 trillion for the post-9/11 wars – an estimated $5.8 trillion in appropriations, plus an additional minimum of $2.2 trillion for obligations to care for the veterans of these wars through the next several decades," according to an analysis of federal data published by Brown University's Watson School of International and Public Affairs.

The report breaks down spending by federal agency for the conflicts between 2001 and 2022. It includes more than $2 billion initially spent by the Department of Defense, with another $884 billion in increases. It also includes more than $189 billion spent by the State Department, more than $1.1 billion spent by the Department of Homeland Security and more than $465 billion spent on veteran care.

During the 21 years analyzed, interest on federal borrowing to fund the wars exceeded $1 billion.

Afghanistan: $2 trillion

The 20-year Afghanistan conflict cost more than $2 trillion.

On Oct. 7, 2001, the U.S. invaded Afghanistan with the stated purpose of overthrowing the Taliban and dismantling al-Queda, which took credit for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. After the U.S. fought al-Queda and the Taliban for 20 years, the Biden administration withdrew U.S. troops in August 2001. The administration left $7 billion worth of U.S. military equipment behind and turned control of the country back to the Taliban.

Iraq and Syria: more than $5 trillion

The U.S. invaded Iraq in the Second Gulf War in March 2003, initially over Iraq allegedly obtaining weapons of mass destruction. The conflict lasted until December 2011.

Fighting Marxists

After imposing sanctions on Syria in 2011 and supporting the overthrow of Syria's president Bashar Assad in 2013, the Obama administration launched airstrikes in 2014. U.S. troops have been stationed there ever since until they were pulled out in April.

According to the Brown report, the U.S. spent nearly $3 trillion on both conflicts. A Harvard Kennedy School analysis puts the total higher, noting the Iraq war cost $5 trillion.

The former Al-Qaeda leader, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, wanted by U.S. authorities with a $10 million bounty, is now Syria’s leader and was removed from a U.S. terrorist most wanted list by the Trump administration. The president invited him to the White House, praising the man who previously supported suicide bombers in Syria and Iraq who killed U.S. troops.

Lucy Komisar, the investigative journalist behind The Komisar Scoop, has scrutinized William Browder for more than two decades, beginning around 2000 when she first encountered his offshore maneuvers involving the Russian titanium firm Avisma. Her site maintains an extensive "Browder Hoax" category packed with dozens of articles, interviews, and document-backed pieces spanning from the mid-2010s through 2025, repeatedly challenging his Magnitsky narrative as a self-serving fabrication designed to shield alleged tax evasion and fraud. Komisar has publicly described herself as "Browder's leading journalist critic", publishing detailed exposés on platforms including 100Reporters and her own site while documenting court records, corporate filings, and media amplification of what she calls his "long-running deception."

The best solution I’ve been able to come up with is to have monthly open threads where anyone can ask whatever is needed (e.g., any lingering questions from the previous month) and I would make a point to always reply to them (as having them all in a single place makes it easier to get to them and also possible for others with the same question to see that answer).

Each time I do a monthly thread, I try to tag it to a topic I’ve wanted to write about but I do not quite feel is enough for its own article. In this article, I will focus on one my major frustrations with the medical system, the half a century war against salt (which began in 1977 when a Senate Committee published dietary guidelines arguing for reduced sodium consumption despite the existing evidence not supporting this). Since then, like many other bad government policies, it has developed a nearly unstoppable inertia of its own.

Note: in the recent interview I did with Pierre Kory, one of the key points I hoped to illustrate was that on highly contentious issues, middle ground positions often exist which achieve most of what both side is seeking and help everyone—but as things become increasingly politically polarized, both sides dig in and the common sense solutions fade into the background creating an irresolvable quagmire. For example, currently, there is a highly polarizing debate occurring over what should happen to a mother with postpartum depression who murdered her three children, as a large number of people are adamant the death penalty must be imposed while many others have made it clear they deeply emphasize with her stress and hence want an insanity defense to prevail. Yet, few have mentioned the violent psychosis inappropriate psychiatric medications cause (which may have played a key role here) or that much better non-pharmaceutical options exist for treating postpartum depression (e.g., decades ago William Walsh showed postpartum depression and psychosis was often caused by a copper overload that was highly responsive to treatment).

Is Salt Bad For You?

Many people you ask, particularly those in the medical field will tell you salt is bad, and one of the most common pieces of health advice given both inside and outside of medicine is to eat less salt.

Over the years, I've heard two main arguments for why salt is bad for you.

First, salt raises blood pressure, and high blood pressure is deadly, so salt is too and should be avoided.

Second, with individuals who have heart failure, eating too many salty foods will create exacerbations of their condition, and as a result, after holidays where people eat those foods (e.g., the 4th of July) more heart failure patients will be admitted to hospitals for heart failure exacerbations.

Note: excessive sodium causes these exacerbations because an excess amount of fluid accumulates in the body (e.g., because the weakened heart can't move enough blood to the kidneys to eliminate it), which then overloads other parts of the body (e.g., causing swelling and edema, which, if in the lungs, can be life threatening).

Because of these two things, many in the medical field assume that salt must be bad for you and hence strongly urge patients to avoid it (to the point you often see an elderly patient who loves her salt be aggressively pushed into abandoning it). Unfortunately, the logic behind those two arguments is much less solid than it initially appears.

Blood Pressure

Many things in medicine resulted from what approach to patient care was the most profitable, not the most helpful. In turn, since recurring revenue is a foundational principle of successful businesses, rather than cure patients, a key goal in medicine often ends up being to have as many patients as possible be on lifelong prescriptions.

In most cases, the drugs that are developed and approved have real value for specific situations, but those situations are not enough to cover the exorbitant cost it requires to get a drug to market. As a result, once drugs are approved, the industry will gradually come up with reasons to give them to more and more people (e.g., by relabeling a vast swathe of normal feeling as "depression"). As such, things quickly arrive at the point where many of the industry's customers experience significantly greater harm than benefit from the pharmaceutical (e.g., while they harm the majority of users and providing minimal benefit to most patients, SSRI antidepressants are also very helpful for a subset of people who take them).

One classic way drug markets are expanded is by creating a drug that treats a number, asserting that the number has to be within a certain range for someone to be healthy, and then once that is enshrined, narrow and narrow the acceptable range so less and less people are "healthy" and hence need the drug (e.g., this happened with cholesterol once statins were invented). Likewise, this characterizes the history of blood pressure management:

Hamilton and Lincoln Were the Bad Guys?

This is an unpopular opinion I am reluctantly coming to more and more—namely, that Hamilton and Lincoln were working for the City of London and were, in fact, bad guys, traitors to the Republic even:

Look at the actions and the structures they left standing. The official stories emphasize necessity, patriotism, and later success. The ledger of what they actually did, and what those acts produced, is different.

Hamilton's program was not abstract theory. He funded the Revolutionary and Confederation debts at (or near) par, assumed the state debts, and created a class of public creditors whose fortunes were now tied to the federal government's solvency and expansion. Speculators who had bought the paper cheap from original holders—often soldiers and farmers—were made whole. He then chartered the First Bank of the United States on the Bank of England model: privately directed, government-linked, issuer of notes, fiscal agent. He invoked implied powers to get it done. He pushed tariffs and a Report on Manufactures that treated industrial development as a national project requiring federal direction.

The immediate results were creditworthiness and liquid securities markets. Foreign capital, much of it from London and Amsterdam, flowed in. New York began its rise as a financial center. The longer results were a permanent funded national debt treated as an instrument of state power, a banking system that concentrated influence among a relatively small group of urban financiers, and a federal government with the fiscal machinery to act like a European great power. Jefferson's agrarian, state-centered republic lost the economic contest. The "national blessing" of funded debt became the template. Later central banking, from the Second Bank through the National Banking System to the Fed, sits on that foundation.

Lincoln's actions completed the shift. He used war to prevent secession and then used the war's emergency to enact the National Banking Acts. National banks were required to hold U.S. bonds as the basis for their note issue. A prohibitive tax was placed on state-bank notes. The old decentralized state-banking system was subordinated or crushed. Greenbacks introduced government-issued fiat. Protective tariffs were raised and kept high. Massive federal land grants went to railroads. An income tax and internal-revenue machinery appeared. The Southern planter class—the last major competing power base of landed wealth and state-sovereignty claims—was broken by invasion, emancipation without compensation, and Reconstruction.

What followed was not restoration of the pre-1861 compact. It was a more centralized fiscal-military state, a national currency and debt market, and financial power increasingly routed through New York. The National Banking System created a reserve hierarchy that funneled funds toward Wall Street. Panics continued (1873, 1893, 1907), but the architecture now favored national banks and federal debt. The political economy that emerged was industrial, protectionist, and credit-based. The Jeffersonian/Jacksonian alternative—limited federal power, state banking, low tariffs, agrarian weight—did not recover. By the Gilded Age the United States was operating as a Hamiltonian commercial republic. The later Federal Reserve was an evolution, not a rupture.

The City of London connection is structural, not a spy novel. The techniques Hamilton copied—funded debt, a privileged bank of issue, a market in government securities—were British. Early American credit depended on European (heavily British and Dutch) buyers. After 1865 British capital financed much of the railroad and industrial expansion that the new national system enabled. The United States adopted the playbook, scaled it, on behalf of the City of London. That is how financial systems actually own and control all: by imitation of working machinery and by capital flows, not by secret commissions.

Both men died before the full settlement was visible. Hamilton was killed in 1804 while Jeffersonians still held the presidency and the system remained contested. Lincoln was killed in 1865 as Reconstruction and the Gilded Age industrial-financial order were only beginning. Martyrdom made it easier to treat the new structures as sacred rather than as the product of specific policy choices that transferred power from states and landed interests to the federal government and its allied financiers and industrialists. Reputation campaigns built on the story of a martyred man were proliferated by British-backed publishers and press, both direct to the public and through control of schoolhouse curriculums.

The Revolution's political independence was real. The financial and federal order that replaced the old republic of relatively sovereign states was Hamiltonian, then Lincolnian. That is what the actions produced. And now our masters seek to not restore to us what our Founding Fathers gave us, but to refinance this imperial system embedded by two dead men and many others since.

And this: Stop looking at what the official histories say and start looking at what actually happened. The two are rarely the same. Our enslavement is in what happened, not in what has been written about it. PsyOps did not begin in this century or the last. They began long ago.

Editor's note: A possible theory about the alleged Burr-Hamilton duel is that it was staged. With so few witnesses, faking the event would have been straightforward: Hamilton could have been sent away in disguise to New York or London to continue working on behalf of his masters. Hamilton gets "shot" and Burr makes for a beeline to London. The historical "official" explanation for the duel is given by stating there was a "political rivalry" between Burr and Hamilton and Hamilton's "disparaging remarks about Burr." Given the broader pattern of historical fakery, it is plausible that Hamilton and his associates arranged a false duel with Burr precisely to create the appearance of Hamilton's martyrdom, rather than risk actually losing the man whose skills were essential to establishing a national bank and its mechanisms serving the City of London.

The following Unz Review article claims Alexander Hamilton was a crypto-Jew serving as an agent of the Jewish Franks dynasty (or Frankists). It argues they masterminded the American Revolution and early USA through finance, war contracting on both sides, intelligence networks, and blackmail operations involving sexual compromising (honey pots) of figures like Washington, all to create a strong central government, national bank, and philosemitic safe haven for the Jewish diaspora. It wouldn't be surprising if Hamilton was a bisexual entrapment agent: that would fit perfectly with Rothschild/Sabbatean Frankist methodology. Some Jewish women have that reputation – sleep around for power and information – so why not Jewish men? There are probably some psychic abilities that can accompany cultish promiscuity, very likely involving sex demons/egregores. Do people in sex cults have the ability to read one another's minds? Hamilton became the first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury (Sep. 11, 1789 to Jan. 31, 1795) under George Washington and oversaw the first four banks that he created.

Gamblers have made $8 million on Polymarket betting on military operations

Researchers say the win rate among 152 accounts on Polymarket is so high that they are "the most likely insiders" betting on the site.

A small number of gamblers have made $8 million placing military and defense-related bets on the Polymarket prediction site, most placed by about 150 accounts that almost always bet correctly. The researchers say they suspect the accounts are linked to military insiders who could be flagged for law enforcement as "the most likely potential insiders," researchers said in a new report.

When the most successful of those accounts bet on unlikely military events, researchers found, they won virtually every single time.

"Traders acting on specialized, non-public information possess an edge that is valuable only within a limited set of markets, and that produces win rates difficult to attribute to luck," researchers with the Anti-Corruption Data Collective said in a new report released Thursday. The researchers studied the small number of bettors who met two criteria: "The concentration of their betting within less than 100 markets and two topics, and unusual accuracy (over 75%) of their longshot bets."

The same research group published a report in April that found a high risk of insider trading on military-related Polymarkets after observing that "longshot" bets on military operations won 52% of the time, which was four times more often than other types of markets.

While 'whales' often lose, 'orcas' almost always win

The collective’s new report hones in on 152 accounts, which researchers analyzed and found certain behaviors that “support our hypothesis that they are the most likely insiders." The accounts, which researchers called "orcas" or “highly specialized, incredibly successful bettors," were compared to whales, who spend the most on a wide range of markets to "devour enormous profits," mostly at the expense of "small fish" bettors who tried their luck but end up "losing out badly to the fat larger competition.”

The collective found that half of the orca accounts made their first long-shot bet within two days of making their Polymarket account and waged higher bets more often on high-risk, low-probability markets. The 152 orca wallets placed $2 million on military longshot bets and won 97.2% of the time for $8 million, or over $52,500 per wallet.

Despite spending overall less money on bets than others, orcas still made a return of 132% compared to whales and small fish whose losses were as high as -2%. At least half of the orcas doubled their money.

$40tn debt: U.S. unhinged empire is a threat to world peace

The U.S. debt crisis is a legacy of endless war. It is also a harbinger of future wars.

The United States hit a dubious milestone this week, announcing that its national debt had exceeded $40 trillion. No other nation comes close to this level of absolute financial indebtedness.

This is not simply a matter of out-of-control financial bankruptcy. It is an ominous sign of an unhinged empire that is desperately trying to salvage its historic failure by scorched-earth tactics of endless war.

The world is being held hostage by a pathological system that is no longer tolerable for the sake of humanity, development and peace.

Perhaps of more significance than the total figure – astronomical though that is – is the accelerating pace of U.S. debt growth. Since 2016, the arrears have doubled, up from $20tn. Over the next decade, the U.S. national debt is predicted to climb to $64tn.

In the year 2000, the American account stood at a "mere" $6tn. The last quarter of a century has seen the arrears pile up from endless wars, reckless military spending, and massive tax cuts for the corporate elite. The debt has become irreversible under prevailing policies.

Servicing interest on the arrears now runs at $1tn a year and is one of the largest federal budget expenditures. This means that the United States is caught in a debt spiral from which it cannot extricate itself. It is digging a deeper and deeper hole.

There are profound implications for the United States as a society. As Robert Reich, a former Labour Secretary, noted, the servicing of runaway debt means less money for "schools, healthcare, roads and bridges and social safety nets." The grim conclusion is that social inequality in the U.S. – already at record levels – will become even more destructive. That speaks of social immiseration and collapse.

There are also far-reaching detrimental impacts on the U.S. and global economy. Even mainstream commentators warn of a historic fiscal crisis pending for the United States from soaring interest rates and hyperinflation. That, in turn, will be transmitted to the rest of the world, especially those countries with large holdings of American debt.

But the exceptional U.S. financial mess is not just a matter of economics. It is an urgent issue of global peace and security.

There are several causes of mounting American debt. However, the main driver, by far, is that nation's relentless warmongering and militarism, as economist Jeffrey Sachs and other commentators have long contended. It is systemic and chronic.

This year saw the United States celebrate its 250th anniversary since its founding as a modern state. For most of its history, about 95 per cent of the 250 years, the United States has been at war, either through conquest or subterfuge, according to its own Congressional records and eminent historians like David Vine.

No other modern nation comes close to this bellicose conduct, and that is a reason why no other nation comes close to the level of financial debt of the U.S.

In short, war and debt are closely correlated as cause and effect.

The worrying thing for the world is that as the U.S. debt spirals at an accelerating pace, the obvious implication is that conflict and wars are also increasingly manifest.

There are few people today who cannot be but concerned by the perception of intensifying tensions, violence and threats to world peace. We are living in a time when World War Three and nuclear conflagration are spoken of as an imminent possibility. While Western corporate media tend to cover up the obvious, polls show that increasing numbers of people around the world view the United States as the main threat to global peace and security.

The current wars in the Middle East and Ukraine and tensions with China all can be traced to Washington's foreign policies.

The Trump administration has bombed at least seven countries and is threatening to attack others. Just this week, Trump sounded like a Mafia don when he said he would "bomb the shit" out of Oman over some perceived grievance. The U.S. disregard for international law was always a recurring feature, albeit not a widely known one, but lately it has become blatant.

Report: Newsom's High Speed Train to Nowhere is Not Arriving Anytime Soon

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been frantically trying to restart a presidential campaign that appears moribund, with polls showing him losing in some states to figures such as Pete Buttigieg and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. In his absence, his multibillion-dollar high-speed train also seems to be going nowhere fast. A new report from the state inspector general revealed that the train will be delayed again and that the public is being kept in the dark about ongoing problems with Newsom's signature project. Oh, and one more thing: the project will run out of money by December 2027.

Benjamin Belnap's report revealed the project is again running out of money. It found missing details in the project's 2026 business plan, and concluded that the project will again be out of money by next year.

The state has already spent $18 billion, but it will need at least another $18 billion to finish the first segment. It could take roughly $200 billion more actually to complete the original San Francisco-to-Los Angeles line.

Even with billions more, the current segment will not be completed until 2034.

Voters approved a $9.95 billion bond issue in 2008 under Newsom's predecessor after absurdly low cost estimates. Newsom has been a champion of the project. Influential figures and companies stood to make a fortune, and the key was to secure a "buy-in" worth billions, so that it would become increasingly difficult to abandon the project as overruns and delays sent costs soaring.

Now the official estimate of future ridership has dropped by 25%, and it demands billions more to complete a project delayed by decades. Remember that this entire project was meant to create a rail line of only 171 miles.

One would think that the California voters would be marching to the capital with pitchforks and torches over such breathtaking incompetence and waste. However, they appear to have been conditioned to accept the lowest level of performance from their public officials.

The response of Democratic leaders is crushingly predictable: they are pledging to seek a federal bailout to cover their own incompetence. The Democratic nominee for governor, Xavier Becerra, is promising to fight to get back federal funds that were cut off by the Trump Administration. While promising to seriously review any problems in the project (as if they are not obvious), no one has been held accountable for this financial train wreck. Instead, all Democrats can do is demand that citizens around the country help bail out their boondoogle.

Yet, the Inspector General is describing a failure of leadership where no one is making any real decisions:

"Exploration of specific financing mechanisms is a positive step, but because the Authority might run out of funding as soon as December 2027, and the financing strategy the Authority uses has the potential to significantly affect the amount of interest it will need to repay, the Authority and state lawmakers have little time for delay in deciding upon a strategy and implementing it."

Belknap indicated that those in control are simply shrugging off the problem, noting that “[b]ecause the Authority has thus far not demonstrated a willingness to establish and reinforce a process that ensures accuracy and transparency in project reporting, we have directed our report recommendations to the Board.”

Extra Welfare for Britain's Polygamist Migrants

You really cannot make this stuff up. Britain does not permit people domiciled in the UK to enter into polygamous marriages, yet buried inside the government's welfare tables is an allowance for an “additional spouse” in certain polygamous marriages legally contracted overseas. For 2026–27, that additional amount under the relevant Pension Credit rules rose from £119.50 to £125.25 per week. That works out to £6,513 annually for each qualifying additional spouse living in the household.

This is precisely the sort of contradiction that destroys confidence in government. Parliament tells British citizens that one legal standard applies inside Britain, but when government encounters a marriage legally created under the laws of another country, certain parts of the welfare system can recognize additional spouses for benefit calculations. The House of Commons Library has confirmed that polygamous marriages considered valid under UK private international law can, in limited circumstances, involve means-tested benefits covering more than one spouse.

Now, before everyone runs around claiming Britain is spending billions supporting harems, that is simply not true. The Department for Work and Pensions says the latest Housing Benefit data recorded fewer than ten households identified as polygamous marriages formed abroad. Universal Credit does not recognize a polygamous household as one multi-spouse benefit unit either; generally the earliest married couple forms the couple claim while additional adults must claim separately according to their circumstances. Fine. Then why maintain a category for an additional spouse in a polygamous marriage at all?

That is the political issue the bureaucrats never understand. The outrage is not primarily about whether there are eight households, eighty households, or eight thousand households receiving this particular allowance. It is the principle that government has created one set of cultural expectations for the domestic population while accommodating another legal arrangement when imported from abroad.

Britain has spent decades telling people that mass immigration would require integration into British society. Yet integration cannot mean that British society continuously modifies itself to accommodate every institution brought into the country. At some point a nation must decide whether immigrants integrate into the country or the country integrates around the immigrants.

This becomes particularly absurd when Britain is simultaneously debating enormous reductions in welfare spending. Reform UK has proposed cutting the welfare bill by £50 billion annually. Politicians are arguing over disability benefits, long-term unemployment, housing assistance and who should qualify for taxpayer support. Working people are being told that the existing system is financially unsustainable, yet government regulations still contain explicit calculations for additional spouses in qualifying overseas polygamous marriages.

The actual expenditure may be microscopic, but politically the symbolism could hardly be worse. This is how governments lose people. They insist that ordinary taxpayers accept increasingly complicated rules while refusing to recognize how those rules look outside Whitehall. A British worker does not sit down after a ten-hour shift and read the Department for Work and Pensions' technical explanation of legacy Pension Credit arrangements. He sees that polygamy cannot legally be contracted in Britain and then discovers an official government benefit table containing the words "additional amount for additional spouse" under "polygamous marriage."

Raytheon has landed a massive $22.9 billion contract with the US military to dramatically ramp up the production of Tomahawk missiles, as US arms makers continue to cash in on the US-Israeli war against Iran.

The US fired over 1,000 Tomahawk missiles into Iran during the conflict, nearly one-third of the pre-war inventory, according to analysis from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

All available evidence suggests that Tomahawk missiles were what was used when the US bombed the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, southern Iran, an attack that killed at least 156 people, including 120 schoolchildren.

Raytheon currently produces 60 Tomahawk missiles per year, but under a new agreement with the US War Department, it plans to ramp up production to more than 1,000 per year, according to a press release from RTX Corporation, Raytheon’s parent company.

"Tomahawk is the Navy's most important strike weapon, able to target hostile forces hundreds of miles away without ever risking the lives of our sailors," said Raytheon President Phil Jasper.

"We are making significant investments in our workforce, technology, supply chain, and facilities to dramatically boost production capacity and meet surging demand," Jasper added.

The news comes after the US military awarded massive contracts to Lockheed Martin to ramp up production of air defense munitions depleted in the Iran war, including a $35 billion deal for THAAD interceptors and a $58.6 billion contract for Patriot PAC-3 interceptors.

None of this necessarily requires personal corruption from every individual involved. It requires a monetary system where money, career advancement, and public health decisions are tied incestuously together closely enough that greed does not need to be hidden. It only needs to be normalized. The Greek pharmakon, a word that meant drug, remedy, and poison all at once are contained within the ingredients of a Pentagon and Moderna planned Covid injection that has led to "premeditated murder."

FDA regulators (regulatory capture) and pharmaceutical cartels operate inside an opaque financial loop that rewards cooperation over scrutiny. About 65% of the FDA's drug review budget comes directly from industry user fees (pay offs), meaning the agency depends financially on the drug companies it is supposed to police. Roughly a quarter to over half of FDA reviewers who worked on drug approvals eventually leave for jobs at the same pharmaceutical companies (see The "Expert" From the FDA Who Sits On Pfizer's Board), and nine out of ten recent FDA commissioners have gone on to work in the industry. Research shows this pattern is not neutral: reviewers in senior positions who later move to industry tend to approve lower quality drugs while still at the agency, and companies that hire former FDA staff see higher approval rates and rising stock value as a direct result.

Faster review times, pushed along by industry funding, have been linked to more serious adverse drug reactions. The clearest individual example is Curtis Wright, the FDA reviewer who approved OxyContin in 1995 with label language downplaying its risk of misuse, and who took a $379,000 a year job at Purdue Pharma about a year after leaving the agency. On the funding side, Moderna's mRNA vaccine technology was seeded years before COVID by DARPA, the Pentagon's research arm, which gave the company its first grants in 2013 specifically to build vaccine platforms for future pandemics. That dual nature, the one who wounds is the one who can heal, is a very old Greek motif.

DARPA seeded Moderna with a $0.7 million grant in March 2013, then followed with up to $24.6 million more, years before the company had ever brought a single product to market. That money came from the Pentagon, not a health agency, funneled through a biodefense program built to counter engineered and natural threats. By 2020, HHS's BARDA had escalated that bet with up to $1.4 billion to push the same mRNA platform through emergency authorization. DARPA itself has publicly taken credit, stating on its own website that the first coronavirus vaccine to enter human trials came directly from its investment. A technology platform born inside a military research budget was sold to the public as a straightforward medical breakthrough, with little scrutiny of where the money actually started or who benefited most from how fast it moved.

It's telling how precisely today's pharmaceutical industry has recreated that old Greek arrangement, an institution that profits from both the sickness and the cure, except now the myth wears a lab coat instead of a temple robe, and the same instinct that once demanded faith in oracles now demands faith in institutional science, a pattern reaching back thousands of years long before anyone called it religion. In a recent opinion piece for The Wall Street Journal, US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention ("CDC") Principal Deputy Director Ralph Abraham argued that "framing measles as an American policy failure is inaccurate and misleading," asserting that resources including vaccines and therapeutics have been surged nationwide and that the current measles situation reflects broader global trends rather than a uniquely domestic policy breakdown.

Britain – the End of an Empire?

Andy Burnham has not maintained Keir Starmer's migrant policy in full. Instead, he has broken with his predecessor by canceling a key Starmer policy and is publicly advocating for a different approach. Burham aims for "fundamental changes" and has focused on tougher border controls while increasing support for genuine asylum seekers. The migrants in the UK receive a specific form of government support for basic living costs:, which amounts to £45 per week per person for food, clothing, and toiletries. This is often loaded onto a special debit card.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is now considering spreading the migrats all over "all parts of the country need to play their part." That means he now expects middle-class families to accept large numbers of asylum seekers so the poorest areas are no longer the only ones carrying the load.

This approach obviously does nothing to stop the root of the problem, the sheer number of migrants washing up in boats. It simply advertises better accommodation to the next wave of illegal arrivals.

In essence, Burnham's plan is about a government-led, large-scale rehousing program using dedicated sites and public management of housing stock, not a request for middle-class families to act as hosts in their own homes.

Andy Burnham named former Defense Secretary John Healey, 66, served as a junior Treasury minister between 2002 and 2007, to be his Chancellor of the Exchequer in a surprise move by the UK's new prime minister that fueled speculation about a bigger increase in military spending. Healey is a serious Neocon.

While his appointment to the second most important post in government upended expectations in Westminster. Little is known about his position on economic issues, beyond a general assessment that he represents a safe pair of hands and has advocated for more money to fund defense.

Burnham told NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that Healey's appointment was a "signal of his intent" on defense, according to a readout from his office. Healey told reporters that Burnham's government "will meet our commitments on defense to our international allies."

There does not appear to be any shift in policy with regard to geopolitics and pressing war with Russia. Our forecasts for the next two remains remain unchanged and it does not look very good for the UK with Burnham.

Accountability for the trooper, rigorous policy overhaul, full civil liability for the agency, and a massive lawsuit by this elderly couple against the state are the minimum response required when officers prioritize ending pursuits over protecting the very public they are sworn to serve.

The Arkansas State Police's reliance on high-speed PIT maneuvers increasingly resembles the heavy-handed tactics of the old trust-busters: an institution willing to swing a blunt instrument of force in the name of order, even when the collateral damage falls on ordinary citizens who had nothing to do with the original offense. This incident on I-555, of Arkansas State Police Trooper Logan Hall's decision to ram a fleeing vehicle traveling roughly 130mph sent that car into an elderly couple's SUV, flipping it and leaving two senior drivers with serious injuries, is like a strike breaker smashing heads with a blackjack. Rather than treating extreme-speed vehicle intervention as a last-resort measure with clear public-safety limits, the Arkansas agency continues to treat the ending of these types of pursuits as the overriding priority. The result is a pattern that looks less like professional policing and more like institutional force applied without sufficient regard for bystanders, eroding public trust in the very agency charged with protecting the roads.

The rise of automobiles in the 1920s and 1930s shifted many of these forces toward highway patrol, which is the image that has stuck in the public mind. Yet the underlying military culture never disappeared. Decades later the war on drugs, federal surplus military equipment programs, and post 9/11 security funding accelerated the adoption of tactical gear, specialized units, and aggressive intervention tactics such as high speed PIT maneuvers. What began as a tool for imposing statewide order during industrial conflict evolved into agencies that in some states now treat the rapid and forceful ending of pursuits as a core priority, even when that approach creates serious risks for bystanders. In January 2012, Andrew Adler, the owner and publisher of a small weekly newspaper called the Atlanta Jewish Times, sparked considerable controversy when he penned an article titled 'What Would You Do?' in which he put forth three possible responses Israel might pursue if Iran were to acquire a nuclear weapon. The first two — pre-emptive strikes on Hezbollah and Hamas and disobeying the US Secretary of Defense to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities — failed to raise any eyebrows. Adler's third suggestion, however, would result in his immediate resignation as editor and the subsequent sale of his newspaper:

"Three, give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place, and forcefully dictate that the United States policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies. Yes, you read "three" correctly. Order a hit on a president in order to preserve Israel’s existence. Think about it. If I have thought of this Tom Clancy-type scenario, don't you think that this almost unfathomable idea has been discussed in Israel's most inner circles?… You have got to believe, like I do, that all options are on the table."
Almost immediately, the article became headline news around the country forcing major Jewish organizations like the ADL and AJC to feign indignation, and within a week the US Secret Service had launched an 'investigation' into the matter while a teary-eyed Adler appeared on the Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasting network's cable TV show to disavow his column and explain that he actually held a favorable view of President Obama!

Adler's straight-talk, shocking though it may seem to some, provides crucial insight into the mentality of God's chosen people and the candor they often use when speaking amongst themselves. Killing a foreign or domestic head of state who presents a perceived obstacle to the preservation of fragile little Israel is not unknown to history, as any reader of Laurent Guyenot’s indispensable book The Unspoken Kennedy Truth or Ronen Bergman's 2018 bestseller Rise and Kill First: The Secret History of Israel's Targeted Assassinations can assure you.

A few months ago I met up for lunch with an old friend who, after years of intransigence, has finally reclaimed his mind from the Zionist propagandists and taken a deeper interest in topics like Israel/Palestine and Jewish influence in American affairs. During the course of our conversation, I casually mentioned the likelihood that Israeli leaders have considered assassinating Donald Trump for the purpose of expanding US involvement in the war with Iran. My friend, visibly stunned by the idea, asked why in the world Israel would do such a thing when Trump is by all appearances Israel's Top Goy, performing nearly every trick demanded of him by Netanyahu and the Israel Lobby. I responded that it doesn't matter what Trump does for Israel, the minute he’s deemed more valuable dead than alive the Zionists will begin workshopping a scenario in which the increasingly unpopular 'leader of the free world' can be eliminated in such a way that Iran can be blamed and the American military can be dragged deeper into the conflict upon the pretext of revenge. Indeed, Israeli intelligence has been priming the pump for an "Iranian" assassination of Trump since 2024, absurdly trying to link the events in Butler, PA and Ryan Routh’s golf course shenanigans to Tehran. I told my friend that while I believe the chances of an assassination actually happening are low, I do think it's probable the Jews will develop a plan, if they haven't already, to have in the back pocket as a last resort. Certainly, there's no shortage of historical precedent supporting the notion.

My hypothetical took on new life this past week when it was reported in the mainstream media that Israeli intelligence had alerted the US that Iranian agents were planning to shoot down Trump's plane with shoulder-fired missiles as he departed the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey on July 8. The warning was taken seriously enough that the Secret Service had Trump switch planes twice before finally leaving in the hopes of deceiving any would-be attackers. According to The Times of Israel:

"Israel told the United States about the Iranian assassination threat that prompted the US Secret Service to take President Donald Trump off Air Force One and transfer him in a catering truck to a military plane as he prepared to fly out of Turkey last month, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing an unnamed US official.

Later Tuesday, Trump confirmed that he had indeed been smuggled off Air Force One in Ankara because the Secret Service and US military told him to switch planes. Israeli intelligence indicated that Iran was plotting to use shoulder-to-air missiles to take down Trump's plane, according to the WSJ report. Senior Trump aides, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, remained on the plane despite the threat, the official said. The WSJ reported last month that Israeli intelligence had indicated a new plot was in development to assassinate the US president, but did not provide details. … Trump had flown to the NATO summit in Ankara aboard a newly-renovated Qatari-donated jet. The trip was the first international travel for the new plane, whose speedy upgrades triggered questions over its cost and security, and took place as hostilities escalated with Iran, which borders Turkey.

Before departing the Turkish capital, Trump said he would instead use an older baby blue Air Force One plane "for old time's sake" to RAF Mildenhall in Britain, while the new Qatari-gifted plane stopped at the same base so US service members stationed there could tour the aircraft. But after Trump boarded the old Air Force One in front of cameras in Ankara, he was secretly shuttled by an airport catering truck to a smaller plane, an Air Force C-32A, the Washington Post revealed Monday."

Probably not coincidentally, all of this transpired a mere day after Trump and Turkish President Recep Erdogan held a private bilateral meeting during which Trump discussed the possibility of Turkey's reentry into the F-35 Lightning II program, while also announcing his commitment to lift the CAATSA sanctions placed on Turkey by the US government seven years ago. Originally a co-producer and buyer in the fighter jet program, Turkey was removed in 2020 following its acquisition of the Russian S-400 missile defense system. Trump remarked that his administration is "certainly" considering the sale of F-35s to Turkey and openly praised Erdogan as "a great friend," telling reporters at the NATO summit: "Turkey has been much more loyal than other countries that we think would be loyal."

Vance warns of 'rising interest in socialism' in US

Republicans risk losing younger voters unless living standards improve, the vice president has said

The US Republican Party must address the economic pressures facing Americans or risk driving more young people toward socialism, Vice President J.D. Vance has said.

Vance made the remarks in an interview with Fox News on Thursday, pointing to the cost of housing and education, access to well-paid jobs, and the ability to start a family as key concerns.

"Our response to that can't just be to ignore the economic concerns that I think are feeding this rising interest in socialism," Vance said.

He pointed to what he described as trillions of dollars in new investment flowing into the US, saying it would create middle-class jobs. He also cited stabilizing housing prices and the administration’s push for lower interest rates, while acknowledging that the effects of its policies could take time to be felt.

"My warning to my fellow Republicans would be if we don't get this right, don't blame young people for being sympathetic to socialism. We've got to blame ourselves," Vance said.

He added that Republicans could not counter the trend simply by defending the free market, saying:

"You don't stop socialism by throwing slogans at people about the free market. You stop socialism by making people's lives better."

Vance's comments come ahead of November's midterm elections, with the cost of living among the main issues worrying voters. A national poll conducted by Marquette University Law School in May showed inflation and living costs were the public's top concern, cited by 37% of respondents.

Economic pressures have been compounded by higher energy costs fueled by the US-Israeli war on Iran and by Trump's tariffs, while high home prices have made homeownership more difficult to attain. The median asking price for a US home stood at $430,000 in June, according to data cited by Forbes.

The economic strain has coincided with greater openness to socialism among younger Americans. The divide has also become more visible in electoral politics, with progressive candidates making gains in Democratic primaries across the country. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, rose to prominence on an affordability-focused platform.

Even the Democrats will start to ask themselves if this is really the sort of person they want to associate with.

It could be enough to make thousands of Democrats switch their political allegiance to the Republicans.

In addition to Mr Piker, there is another individual on the left, the progressive Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed. He is the Democratic nominee in the 2026 US Senate election in Michigan.

On April 7, 2026, El-Sayed held campaign events on several university campuses in Michigan with Piker sharing the stage with him. El Sayed has drawn scrutiny for his questionable affiliations.

The facility is operated by KNDS Ammo Italy, a subsidiary of the French-German defense firm KNDS. It's the former Simmel Difesa plant. The ammunition plant produced 155mm artillery shells for Ukraine. It looks as though Ukraine's military is going to come up drastically short on 155mm artillery rounds. This plant in Italy is removed from the supply chain and the ammunition plant in Texas that turned out not to be producing anything in a $553 million scam production facility. Since 2022, suspected sabotage or explosions have struck ammunition facilities tied to Ukraine's arms supply chain across Europe: Transnistria's Cobasna depot (April–June 2022), Czechia's Poličské Strojírny plant, Bulgaria's EMCO depot near Belitsa (2024 and August 10, 2026), and Italy's KNDS plant in Colleferro (August 13, 2026), with Czech authorities formally attributing earlier 2014 Vrbětice blasts to Russia's GRU.

Needless overseas wars slaughter innocent civilians while in America we now have 10 states that allow abortion all the way up to birth; they call it 'healthcare'

Both of the two major American political parties are part of a death cult. Each worships death in their own distinct way.

The Republican Party, which I have focused on over the last 18 months only because they are the party in power, has membership rolls filled with bloodthirsty warmongers. The older Republicans especially, as a whole, will support any war that official Washington tells them needs to be fought. No questions asked.

The reason for the war doesn't have to make sense. It doesn't have to benefit America in any way. It doesn’t have to square with the facts on the ground. They will believe whatever false narrative Washington and its media lapdogs put out against the foreign boogeyman. Before you jump on me, I know there are exceptions. Not all boomers are warmongers. I myself am part of the baby boomer generation and I detest war. I believe wars should be fought for national defense of the homeland and that’s it. All else is corrupt scheming for the benefit of foreign interests and billionaires in the U.S. military-industrial-security complex.

Even the bombing of an elementary school in which 165 young girls and their teachers were killed on the first day of the Iran war, on March 1, did not move them. They have zero compassion or concern about the women, children and families killed by American and Israeli bombs. Their hearts and consciences have been seared and they are driven by a hatred for people they see as an inconvenient obstacle to a particularly ruthless brand of political Zionism. Yet, many of them call themselves Christian. [Editor's note: There is good reason to consider the US bombing of the school in Iran killing an alleged 165 students and their teachers was staged or falsified.]

But let's turn our focus now to the equally corrupt bloodlust of the Democrat liberal wing of the Washington Uniparty.

These folks rarely speak out against the endless foreign wars either, but it gets worse. They also never met a baby they didn’t think deserved to be a candidate for abortion.

This was evidenced Monday, August 10, when Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey signed a bill legalizing abortions up to birth. The signing ceremony was a joyous occasion marked by disgusting Democrat women who could not contain their jubilance. Watch them smile and clap here as the governor signs this murderous bill into law.

There are now 10 states, along with Washington, D.C., that allow abortions in all nine months of pregnancy.

They say they want more "options" to kill babies. They call it "healthcare" and "abortion care." Such clever word games.

All they need is for a doctor to say it's OK and they can abort a fully formed baby in the ninth month of pregnancy. And they celebrate. They're just "making decisions about their own bodies," they say, an argument that falls flat when you consider these are the same people who tell us we should NOT have a choice about what gets injected into our bodies, including the bodies of children and pregnant women.

Celia Farber reports in her August 11 article on fetal mRNA atrocities, including babies that literally had heart attacks in the womb after their mother was "vaccinated" against Covid.
