Britain’s leading debt charity, the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS), has launched an online Debt Help Guide for the residents of Ceredigion.

The guide shows where to get free advice on housing, benefits and other money matters.

Ceredigion has a high percentage of its workforce employed in the public sector – a huge 42%. Many people living in this area will be worried about the possibility of a sudden dramatic loss of income.

This guide will be a useful resource for people in Ceredigion who are worried about their finances and looking for help and advice.

Dragon MOC is hosting its 6th Annual charity mini weekend starting with a Saturday run from Cardiff heading off on a scenic tour towards Aberystwyth.
Sunday promises a full-on show on the promenade, day visitors are welcome.

A question I have been asked 'Does Borth In Wales Have A Train Station'

Infact Borth does have a railway station which is managed by Arriva Trains Wales, but if your looking to buy train tickets from a ticket office you will have to look elsewhere, its always advisable to buy tickets in advance as they will work out cheaper, Aberystwyth Railway Station has a ticket office where you can purchase tickets, also their are many online providers. If your have to travel without buying a ticket in advance you can always purchase a ticket from the conductor on board the train.

It doesn’t have to be anything complicated or elaborate, our advice is keep it simple, and don’t spend much time doing it, unless you want to. When you’re done, email it to us@walesalternativefoodfestival.com before 30th September 2010. Tell us who you work for, what you do and include a picture of your office too if poss (as we’d like to see you!). We’ll print out the food pic and our visitors to Bridgend Town centre for the Feastival will select a shortlist for the panel to choose the winner.

Aberystwyth Job Centre is located in Alexandra Road opposite the main bus stop in town, the three storey building sites on the former Cambrian Foundry established by George Green in 1850, throughout its working life the foundry produced specialised equipment for the metal mining industry. Gutted by fire 1908 it never resumed production. In 1994 the last surviving foundry building was demolished.

Items include: Electrical goods from fridges to freezers will be accepted so long as they come from domestic properties, also small quantities of asbestos, paint, varnish, thinner, dry cell batteries, lead-acid batteries, fluorescent tubes and general waste from cardboard, paper, timber, garden waste including rubble.

Normally open:
Mondays to Fridays - 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
Saturdays and Sundays - 10.00 am to 3.00 pm

The Most Fantastic Surreal & Out Of This World Experience

Colourscape is a unique walk-through sculpture where you wander through interconnected chambers, experiencing the intensity and subtlety of colour which changes with your perception.
This structure `SPLIT WINGS` is made by international artists Peter Jones and Lynne Dickens who are based near Aberystwyth. The structure will be situated on ‘Chapel Court', the grassy area next to the Arts Centre.
