Abijah (meaning: "My father is Jehovah"; name taken from the Bible)
Gupta (my family surname)

- Currently pursuing my Computers Systems Operations Management (CSOM) Diploma from Thompson Rivers University (TRU).
- Passionate about computers, softwares and music.
- I play the piano by ear. Will be learning sheet music reading too, soon! :)
- I try neither to be pessimistic, nor too optimistic, but more realistic.
- I love to make new friends and interact with people; get to know about their culture, beliefs and heritage.

As a Pianist

I have been practicing and playing for a couple of years now. My parents gifted me my first CASIO keyboard when I was 3 or 4 years old. Hence, the credit for my music skills goes directly to my parents who promoted it and facilitated it. Thanks Mom and Dad :)

After seeing my will to play, they got me a CASIO SA-41 keyboard, which I played for a few years, till I got the YAMAHA PSR 295 61 key portable keyboard.

The Yamaha keyboard has been a great companion for the past 6 years. Together, we have played and created magic numerous times. Now, here in TRU, I play the Grand Piano.

In October, I bought a YAMAHA PSR E423 :)

IELTS ('International English Language Testing System'), is an international standardised test of English language proficiency. It is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, the British Council and IDP Education Pty Ltd, and was established in 1989.

There are two versions of the IELTS: the Academic Version and the General Training Version

IELTS is accepted by most Australian, British, Canadian, Irish, New Zealand and South African academic institutions, over 3,000 academic institutions in the United States, and various professional organisations. It is also a requirement for immigration to Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

No minimum score is required to pass the test. An IELTS result or Test Report Form is issued to all candidates with a score from 1 (no knowledge) to 9 (expert user) and each institution sets a different threshold.

I scored an overall band score of 8.5 in my IELTS test (Academic version).

After having taught the Writing module for around 4 months, I launched my own free and full featured IELTS Writing Blog.

At the time of writing this post, I have had 17,707 page views from over 140 countries!
