In this tutorial, I will be teaching you on how to integrate Google AdSense code on blogger. It has come to my notice that many bloggers (new bloggers especially) are having problems with the implementation of Google AdSense code on their blog(s). But this tutorial is only limited to blogger platform alone and not with other blogging platforms such as WordPress, Wix, etc.

7 SIMPLE STEPS FOR INTEGRATING GOOGLE ADSENSE CODE ON BLOGGER

Step 1:

For new bloggers, in the process of applying for Google AdSense, you will be given this code to integrate on your blog. The first thing you are to do is to copy the code (by highlighting the code and copy it or by clicking on the “COPY CODE” button that is beneath the box).

Then open another tab on your computer to log in to your blogger dashboard. When you login in, you will have an image appearing like the one below.

Step 2:

Select “Theme” on your dashboard. It will then take you to the next page.

Bill to Abolish Discrimination Between HND/BSc. Passes Second Reading

The Bill for an Act to Abolish and Prohibit Dichotomy and Discrimination between First Degrees and Higher National Diploma in the same Profession/Field and related matters on Tuesday scaled second reading in the House of Representatives.

The Bill, if eventually passed into law, will end discrimination against Polytechnic graduates and remove the ceiling placed on HND holders, especially those in the public service.

The Bill, sponsored by Hon. Ali Isa J.C from Gombe State and Edward Pwajok from Plateau State, is entitled ” A Bill for an Act to abolish the dichotomy between First Degrees and Higher National Diplomas in the same profession / field and for related matters”.

According to him, those with first degree are placed on Grade Level 8, while those with HND are placed on Grade Level 6 or 7.

He said that in some organisations, degree holders were paid N100, 000 at entry level, while their counterparts with HND were paid N70, 000.

But, the lawmaker said, in other countries, technical experts were paid higher than administrators, adding that “the reverse is the case in the country’’.

Speaker Yakubu Dogara, who presided over Tuesday’s plenary, later referred the Bill to the Committee on Tertiary Institutions and Services.

NUC Approves 12 Courses in UNIABUJA

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has granted full accreditation status to 12 courses of the University of Abuja.

Director of Quality Assurance, National Universities Commission (NUC), N.B. Saliu, has disclosed that the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has gotten full accreditation for twelve courses, including Accounting, Business Administration, Arabic Studies, Theatre Arts, Christian Religious Studies, and English Language.

The other accredited courses are; History, Diplomatic Studies, Islamic Studies, Linguistics, Philosophy, History Education and Social Studies Education.

Spokesperson of the governing council of UNIABUJA, Ediga Agbo, confirming the development, saying the future of the university looked bleak when the courses were assessed by the NUC during its accreditation visit in 2016.

“The situation then looked so bleak that we wondered if there was a university.

“The Engineering students had been sent out to other universities and the medical students were on strike as they had spent 4 to 5 years without accreditation and the Council confronted these situations head-on.

“Today, the university has 53 programmes with 28 having full accreditation, 23 have interim accreditation and others have denials.

“UNIABUJA hopes to get 95 per cent of its courses approved by the NUC during the next accreditation in May.”

How to Make Money From Ebay and Amazon Without Selling products

For as long as I can remember, I have been around professional sellers on Ebay and Amazon. They have been selling 6 to 7 figures worth of items every month for the past few years.They generally purchase products from China, label them with their own brands and sell it on Amazon. Some of them now have well-established brands. I have seen them working hard, procuring, organizing, sorting, labeling and shipping stuff day-in and day-out. While I wanted to be able to have a business that makes money like they do, I could never see myself putting in 18 hours a day for my business. Call me lazy if you wish. I call work-life balance.

I was once talking with a friend (who happens to be a hardcore techy) about the possibilities with Amazon and Ebay and how my other friends were making bank. He did not believe in selling online as he was never into customer service. However, he did tell me something that changed my work-life forever after that moment. I now put in a few hours a week on a side business and make decent income without having a product of my own.

How to buy and sell without a product

I am buying and selling online, but I do not have a product. I sell about USD 3K a month. No, I am not selling a consultancy or service either. I am selling used textbooks — but I do not have to keep books with me or procure them like any other seller has to, or wait for a buyer to purchase from me. My model is as easy as 1-2-3 and it has been working great.

My process is simple:

I find a book being sold by website XYZ.
I find website ABC that is buying that book at a price higher than XYZ’s selling price.
I place an order at XYZ, get the book, and sell it to ABC.
I keep the difference.

The secret is finding books that are being bought by websites at higher prices. This is extremely tough to do if you do not have a technology aide. However, thanks to my techy friend, I was introduced to such technology — called Flippiness.

This is not a get-rich-quick scheme

Flippiness allows users to find special combinations that we call a flip. Flippiness has a free plan where you get flips that make you less than 5 bucks per flip. But if you are serious about making money this way, I recommend no less than the Gold plan, which costs 100 bucks a month.

Like any other business, you need to be careful. You need to understand that a website will only pay you if you send them a good book. No one is going to pay you what they quoted if you send them a book with any of the following flaws:

Different edition (international or an older edition)
Different cover (hardcover vs. softcover)
Poor condition (some sellers have torn books or loose leaf books)
Different ISBN (ISBN is the number that uniquely identifies books)

You will still make these mistakes knowingly or unknowingly for the first few times. You will, however, learn from your own experiences. There is a helpful community of people who reply on Flippiness. If you are a Facebook user, you can join it too and get some help when you have a question.

Is this for you?

You are the only person who can answer that. I’d recommend that you not put in $100 a month to start with. Sign up as a normal Bronze user and flip a few cheap books. Decide on how much you want to invest ($50 is good to start with), and only buy a book cheaper than that. Send the book out and see if you made any money. You will also get acquainted with the process and the amount of work it requires from you.

Once you have flipped a few books, then you can decide if you want to continue. If you feel this is for you, then you can start putting in more time and money — and reaping the benefits.

JAMB Suspends 2017 UTME Registration…Details

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday announced suspension of registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

The ongoing registration for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, has been suspended for 52 hours by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Abuja on Friday.

The Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, who made the announcement at a press briefing in Abuja, said the decision was aimed at preventing any disruption during the conduct of the UTME mock examinations scheduled for Saturday.

The examination body, which put the suspension hour between 8:00pm on April 7 (Friday) and 12:00am on April 10 (Monday), said one million candidates have registered for the exam so far.

He said candidates could also go to banks, NIPOST, Interswitch or Remita to procure PINs for registration on Monday, adding that there will be no sale of forms, registration and biometric capturing at the various centres in which the mock examinations would take place.

NO REGISTRATION SATURDAY 8TH APRIL 2017

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) wishes to again assure Nigerians especially the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) candidates and their parents that all hands are on deck to ensure the smooth conduct of this year’s UTME exercise.

We want to reiterate that the interest of the candidates is foremost to the Board and there is no need for any apprehension regarding the purchase of forms and registration for the examinations. It is our commitment as a responsive and responsible body to ensure that no willing candidate is left out and if there is a need to extend the registration deadline, the needful will be done.

Meanwhile, Saturday April 8th , 2017 has been set aside for the Mock UTME. To seamlessly achieve this, the Board has SUSPENDED all activities relating to the registration exercise in ANY CBT centre from 8pm today being Friday 7th of April, 2017 and to resume on Monday 10th of April, 2017.

This is to notify the candidates and the concerned stakeholders that there will be no sale of forms, registration and biometric capturing at the various centres in which the Mock Examinations are taking place.

This however does not preclude any candidate from going to Banks, NIPOST, interswitch or Remita to procure pins for registration on Monday. This is to prevent any disruption of the process and conduct of the mock examination.

The Mock Examinations for interested candidates taking place Saturday 8th April, 2017 is intended to familiarize our candidates with the CBT systems and generally forecast the challenges that may be faced ahead in order to proactively address them. It is just a rehearsal for us and candidates who want to experience the situation to expect during the actual examinations.

Therefore, the sale of forms, registration and biometrics at CBT Centres are to be suspended from 8:00 p.m. today till Monday, April 10, 2017. This notice is for the strict adherence of our officers and partners throughout the Federation.

While wishing the candidates and officials participating in the examination a successful mock exercise, we once again re-assure the candidates that there is no need for worry or anxiety. It’s a very important ingredient for any relationship to sustain. It helps couples to nurture the relationship and strengthen the bond.” So whoever said having more Sex with your partner means lesser cases of infidelity, made sense.

Content developer Prachi Sinha states, “I feel a major connect with my boyfriend after we make love. I just feel like being close to him. My faith in him and our relationship grows stronger.” Prachi’s boyfriend agrees, “When she told me about the 7 days a week Sex, I initially could not stop laughing. I mean, this is not the only thing we have to do. But honestly it has got us closer. I just can’t take my eyes off her even when we are moving in a crowd.”

4. Negates unwanted emotions/ Stress-reliever

Sex is not just a physical sensation but it’s comforting and relaxing. Call centre executive Neetu Sharma shares her experience, “Whenever I have a bad day at work, Sex really helps me unwind. It totally takes the stress out of my mind and makes me feel relaxed and rejuvenated.” Psychologist Reena Kapur explains why. “Sex involves a lot of deep breathing and touching and the hormones that are released during the act calm you down.”

5. Great form of exercise

Thirty minutes of Sex burns more than 85 calories. We have read it almost everywhere that Sex helps in burning calories. Confirms fitness consultant Stuti Batra, “While I do not suggest giving up work outs, doubling up the session makes you drop more weight.” While this is the most deadly mix, many girls are seriously taking to it. “It may sound a little funny, but while making love I prefer to play the dominant role. It helps me burn greater calories, leaving my guy in ecstasy,” says Payal Verma.

6. Invokes passion

Here's Why the SpaceX Launch Means We've Entered a New Era of Spaceflight

SpaceX made history last week, launching a pre-flown booster into space for the first time ever – arguably the strongest milestone yet in the company's bid to make economical, reusable rockets.

The achievement – which SpaceX chief Elon Musk hailed as a "revolution" – could come to be seen as the beginning of a new chapter in human exploration, in which rocket launches become dramatically cheaper and space becomes more accessible.

"I think it's an amazing day for space," Musk said after the launch in a video message. "It means you can fly and re-fly an orbit-class booster, which is the most expensive part of the rocket. This is going to be, hopefully, a huge revolution in spaceflight."

Reusability has long been a central component of SpaceX's vision, with the company describing the principle as "the key to making human life multi-planetary", by virtue of its ability to cut the costs associated with rocket launches.

Of course, the first step in making rockets reusable is getting them to land after they've flown – something which SpaceX appears to have gotten the hang of both on land and on floating sea platforms – although it took some highly publicised failures to perfect the technique.

Now, with last Thursday's success, one of the company's pre-flown and landed Falcon 9 booster rockets launched off for a second mission from Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

After deploying a telecommunications satellite into orbit, it then returned to Earth and made a successful landing on a drone platform floating in the Atlantic Ocean – a convincing demonstration that the end-to-end reusable rocket cycle is actually possible.

"It did this mission perfectly," Musk said. "It dropped off the second stage, came back and landed on the drone ship. Right in the bulls-eye."

Before this modern era of reusable rockets as demonstrated by SpaceX and Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin, all previous rocket launches were one-off affairs, resulting in the destruction of the rocket's booster.

Given a Falcon 9 is said to cost more than $61 million to build, the financial advantages of reusing the machinery quickly start to add up.

And when you consider that Musk has said the rockets might ultimately be re-deployed hundreds of times – potentially re-launching within 24 hours of having landed – it starts to make sense that we could be looking at a whole new kind of spaceflight here.

Not only in terms of SpaceX, either – but potentially the whole spaceflight industry. As Musk explained at a news conference after the launch and landing:

"I think, hopefully, this will inform the decisions of other space organisations. Reusability has been put forth as really too hard, or not really feasible. Now, in order to be competitive in launch costs, I think it's going to be necessary for other companies to do the same thing.
Imagine if we were an aircraft company selling aircraft that could be flown many times, and everyone else was selling aircraft that could be flown once, I mean, you know, that's not a very competitive position to be in."

In that sense, the greater significance of a moment like this isn't just that we now know reusable rockets are technologically feasible – but that they become the new norm, much like the introduction of the modern commercial airliner in the 1950s and '60s.

"I think that 50 years from now we'll look back on this day and that's say where commercial space travel began," aerospace engineer and former NASA chief technologist Bobby Braun told Eric Berger at Ars Technica.

Beyond lowering the cost and format of rocket flights across the board, the era of proven reusable, relaunchable boosters also means that, in the future, we'll be able to take off from places we've landed.

In the context of travel to other planets – with Mars as the first destination – the significance of that can't be understated for humanity's pioneering astronauts.

"No one has ever done anything like this before," SpaceX CEO Gwynne Shotwell said in a video broadcast before the launch.

"We're not [a] one-way trip to Mars, people. We want to make sure that whoever we take can come back."

Scientists Invented a Graphene-Based Sieve That Turns Seawater Into Drinking Water

Researchers have achieved a major turning point in the quest for efficient desalination by announcing the invention of a graphene-oxide membrane that sieves salt right out of seawater.

At this stage, the technique is still limited to the lab, but it's a demonstration of how we could one day quickly and easily turn one of our most abundant resources, seawater, into one of our most scarce - clean drinking water.

The team, led by Rahul Nair from the University of Manchester in the UK, has shown that the sieve can efficiently filter out salts, and now the next step is to test this against existing desalination membranes.

"Realisation of scalable membranes with uniform pore size down to atomic scale is a significant step forward and will open new possibilities for improving the efficiency of desalination technology," says Nair.

"This is the first clear-cut experiment in this regime. We also demonstrate that there are realistic possibilities to scale up the described approach and mass produce graphene-based membranes with required sieve sizes."

Graphene-oxide membranes have long been considered a promising candidate for filtration and desalination, but although many teams have developed membranes that could sieve large particles out of water, getting rid of salt requires even smaller sieves that scientists have struggled to create.

One big issue is that, when graphene-oxide membranes are immersed in water, they swell up, allowing salt particles to flow through the engorged pores.

The Manchester team overcame this by building walls of epoxy resin on either side of the graphene oxide membrane, stopping it from swelling up in water.

This allowed them to precisely control the pore size in the membrane, creating holes tiny enough to filter out all common salts from seawater.

The key to this is the fact that when common salts are dissolved in water, they form a 'shell' of water molecules around themselves.

"Water molecules can go through individually, but sodium chloride cannot. It always needs the help of the water molecules," Nair told Paul Rincon from the BBC.

"The size of the shell of water around the salt is larger than the channel size, so it cannot go through."

Not only did this leave seawater fresh to drink, it also made the water molecules flow way faster through the membrane barrier, which is perfect for use in desalination.

"When the capillary size is around one nanometre, which is very close to the size of the water molecule, those molecules form a nice interconnected arrangement like a train," Nair explained to Rincon.

"That makes the movement of water faster: if you push harder on one side, the molecules all move on the other side because of the hydrogen bonds between them. You can only get that situation if the channel size is very small."

There are already several major desalination plants around the world using polymer-based membranes to filter out salt, but the process is still largely inefficient and expensive, so finding a way to make it quicker, cheaper, and easier is a huge goal for researchers.

Thanks to climate change, seawater is something we're going to have plenty of in the future - Greenland's coastal ice caps which have already passed the point of no return are predicted to increase sea levels by around 3.8 cm (1.5 inches) by 2100, and if the entire Greenland Ice Sheet melts, future generations will be facing oceans up to 7.3 metres (24 feet) higher.

But at the same time, clean drinking water is still incredibly hard to come by in many parts of the world - the UN predicts that by 2025, 14 percent of the world's population will encounter water scarcity. And many of those countries won't be able to afford large-scale desalination plants.

The researchers are now hoping that the graphene-based sieve might be as effective as large plants on the small scale, so it's easier to roll out.

Graphene oxide is also a lot easier and cheaper to make in the lab than single-layers of graphene, which means the technology will be affordable and easy to produce.

"The selective separation of water molecules from ions by physical restriction of interlayer spacing opens the door to the synthesis of inexpensive membranes for desalination," Ram Devanathan from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, who wasn't involved in the research, wrote in an accompanyingNature News and Views article.

"The ultimate goal is to create a filtration device that will produce potable water from seawater or wastewater with minimal energy input."

He added that the next step will be to test how durable the membranes are when used over long periods of time, and how often they need to be replaced.

Reports reaching us from Makurdi, Benue State reveal some JAMB candidates at the University of Agriculture in Makurdi beat up security officials due to the frustration of registration for the examinations.

"There is chaos right now at the university of agriculture Makurdi as students who came to register for jamb out of frustration pounced on security operatives To the point of tearing their uniform" an eyetwitness that shared photos said.

According to reports, over 2,000 applicants were waiting for registration with the aid of just 4 computers. The door to the ICT room was broken by the irate applicants, according to additional information.
