I’m an author and an author mentor, and this book is on my list of recommended books for authors, because it will save you many hours and much frustration with Goodreads.

I love Goodreads, but there are so many moving parts. There are also excellent free and affordable ways for an author to promote your books, but will you find them all on your own?

As with any tool, Goodreads is only effective if you know how to use it efficiently. This book helped me so much. I am so glad I bought it and implemented what I have learned.

There are 2 options for learning a new “tool”:
1. Sniff around and figure it all out on your own.
2. Ask someone who “knows the ropes” to show you around and save you hours of frustration.

I prefer #2.

Sure, anyone CAN figure out Goodreads or any other website or process on your own. But spending a few bucks to get guidance is the easiest way to know where to look and what to do quickly.

I’m an author mentor and a big fan of Tom Courson-Knowles.

Before I get into some helpful comments for a potential buyer of this book, the most important factor for me is that this is a 100% ETHICAL, above-board, customer-serving approach.

You will NOT be doing anything that would run a-foul of Amazon or readers. All the advice will let you sleep well at night knowing that all your results came from HONEST implementation of the strategies Tom recommends in this book.

One of the things I most appreciate about this book (and others by Tom) is that you get systems that help you work strategically, not tricks.

You’ll discover the ethical way to get reviews, and I can tell some of the people who have read Tom’s books, because I get a lot of review requests by authors who found me using the methods in th is book.

You’ll also gain an understanding of how to find the tags/keywords you will use for your book as well as the categories, and you’ll find out how to know hwen you need to tweak.
