It’s been said and done, we are now on the 20^th century and modern measures and methods had been created. One of these is Internet Marketing, also known as e-commerce, online marketing and web marketing.

At this point I’d like to discuss to you the advantages of Internet Marketing. I have given you the basic details, business models, effects on the industry, threats on the security and its limitations, now its times I give you its advantages.

Internet Marketing as I’ve said from my past articles is a market in the internet that provides services and products. Its advantages are that first and foremost doing business online is inexpensive compared to the ratio of cost against the reach of target audience. Almost every company can reach a wide audience if they do internet marketing with a small fraction of traditional advertising budgets. Also, the nature of the medium allows consumers to research and purchase products and services at their very own convenience.

Businesses have the edge of appealing to the customers in a way that can bring positive and quick results. The strategy and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns depend on business goals and cost-volume-profit.Internet marketers also have the advantage of measuring statistic easily. Every aspects of the internet marketing can be traced, tested and measured.

Through the accessibility of internet anybody can do transaction, the exposure, response and over all efficiency of internet media made it all seem easy to track than the traditional off media marketing. All in all, internet marketing brought convenience on both business owners and consumers. It made every transaction a “click away” process.

Security concern is very important when you do online business. It’s the thread that consumers hold on to as they do business transaction through online. The fall down on this matter is that some companies that do online business had been caught on selling or giving away important information about their clientele.

Most of these companies gave assurance on their websites that their customers’ information will remain private. With the “selling information scam” these companies are breaking their own publicize rule. Several companies that buy customer information offer option to have the customers’ information be removed on their database known as opting out. However, a lot of customers don’t know that their information is being shared and are unable to discontinue the transfer of their information involving the company. Another concern is that whether the clientele would be able to receive their purchased items.

The solutions to this security threats are the following:

• Encryption – a method that deals with security and privacy concerns. It is defined as the conversion of data in a form called a cipher. Cipher cannot be easily intercepted unless an individual is authorized by the program or company that completed the encryption. In general, the stronger the cipher, the better the data is protected, the more expensive the encryption becomes.

Another is:

• Investing in and Building Strong consumer Bands (e.g Amazon.com, eBay, and Overstock.com) – this solutions attempts to assure consumers that their transaction is free from problems because the merchants can be trusted to provide reliable products and services. Moreover, major online mechanisms (e.g credit cards, PayPal, Google Checkout, etc) provided back–end buyer protection systems to address the problems if they actually occur.

All in all internet marketing has its high in low when it comes to the security and privacy of the customers and companies.

Let’s start off on dealings –the web became the portal of these dealings, this goes with the flow of marketing too. Having this modern transaction, business communication became easier and much faster. Clients are eager and more responsive thus making internet marketing the greatest innovation of all time.

Selling – much more likely people are thanking who ever invented this kind of marketing. Through connection on the web people can do their groceries and shopping and be delivered on their door steps with no sweat and having a very tedious effort to fall in line on counters as they pay their stuffs. It became a “just a click away” duty.

Banking – it has been a heavy duty industry in my very own perception. It became one of the fastest growing activities on the internet. Through online banking, it appears that more than half of the total numbers of customers prefer this method rather than visiting bank branches. It seems that people found it very convenient and less hassle.

Music industry –one of the oldest long running industry ever existed applied modern tools of releasing new song albums and even artist. Many music aficionados are now on buying and downloading music files (e.g mp3s) and albums instead of buying a compilation of the compact disk album.

Certainly, Internet marketing really has its tsunami effect on different industries respectively.

There are several Business Models that are used:

Electronic commerce or commonly known as E-commerce is made of selling and buying products or services over electronic transaction or systems such as the Internet and other computer networks. E-commerce uses the World Wide Web as portal for business transactions. The payments are made through electronic funds transfer. If you want to know more about e-commerce, I will refer you to Amazon.com. Amazon.com is one of the largest examples of e-commerce.

E-commerce; is a kind of business method used in internet marketing that sell goods in three categories. The products were sold directly to:

• Consumers or known as business to consumers (B2C)
• Businesses or known as business to business (B2B)
• And lastly  consumers to consumers (c2c)

Moving on, I will now discuss to you the Affiliate Marketing. Affiliate Marketing is basically a method in which a business rewards one or more affiliates brought by the affiliates marketing efforts. Affiliate is a marketable entity with a relationship to a peer or a larger group of people. Examples of this are referral of others to the site and the most basic is the reward sites where users are given gifts or cash prior to the completion of an offer. This method most of the time overlaps other internet marketing methods because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. The most common methods that they use are search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, display marketing , email-marketing and the not so often times, affiliates uses orthodox techniques such as publishing reviews of products or services presented by a partner.

Affiliate Marketing has four core values:

• The merchant – known as the retailer of brand
• The network
• The publisher – know as “The Affiliate”
• And last is the customer

Let’s now jump to the Lead-based Websites. Lead-based Websites is an organization generates value by acquiring sales leads from its website. It’s less popular method that used by the internet marketers.

Finally, Local Internet Marketing is a method in which small company utilizes the internet to find and build relationships that are to be used in real-world advantage. Commonly this business model uses social media marketing, local directory listing and targeted online sales promotions as tools.

If you’re planning to establish a business through online, I suggest that you study first the kind of business that your venturing to and the business model that you’ll be using for you to be able to reach your quota and most especially your dream goal for you business.

Internet Marketing is actually and basically a market through internet. It is also known as web marketing, online marketing, e-marketing that provides products and services through internet. It has a broad scope because dealing can be done through e-mail and wireless media. Too much modernizations and shortcuts now in our society made everything seem possible and feasible, especially in the matters of marketing and commercialization. Door to door transactions and face to face dealings became obsolete practice for businessmen and women. Internet marketing became the hottest trend in our ever evolving civilization.People had the complacency that they can have anything they want in just a blink of an eye.

I am writing this article in such vigilance and justification that everything has a limitation and not all things can do you good even on online marketing.

In relation to this,here’s some cons or  negative effects of Internet Marketing from the vendors and customers point of view.

For the internet vendor’s perspective:

• Internet market is a saturated market and dealing with competitors is a roller coaster ride.
• Not every person who inquires on your site is really potential buyers.
• Most of the time they are bogus buyers who just wanted to waste your time and effort.
• Above all internet marketing lack human interaction and trust in dealer/customer relationship.

For the customer’s perspective:

• There’s no way for the customers to be able to “test” or “to try on” the product before they purchase it.
• Basically it is done through internet and the sufficiency of trust is much needed before they’d be able to release a certain amount of money.
• Lastly, customers get caught with a lot of choices and they end up buying nothing with the thought that it’s very stressing to choose.

I speak for both dealer and customer because I’d been in both roles. This article is not meant to discourage you but rather to make you aware about the cons of Internet Marketing. There is always a limitation for everything. I must agree that Internet Market made other people lives easy. But then some of the others had a fair share of failures and falling in dealing through internet market.

Let’s just say I’m a basketball type of person and not a football person given by the fact that Filipinos are really into basketball other than any other sports. Neil Leonard Dula Etheridge was born on 7th day of February 1990.He is an English–Filipino professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Fulham. He also represents the Philippines at international level.

Early Life

Etheridge birth place was in Enfield Town, in the London Borough of Enfield to an English father and a Filipina mother who is originally from Tarlac. He took up the sport of football at the age of nine and attended Court Moor School in Fleet, Hampshire where he also represented Hampshire Schools and the Aldershot & Farnborough district teams.

He began attending the Chelsea academy in 2003, where he was also teammates with  Philippine internationals James Younghusband and Phil Younghusband. He started out as a forward but eventually switched to a goalkeeper after being asked by his coach. In the year 2006, he moved to local rivals Fulham, and signed professional forms for the club.

In September 2008, Etheridge signed for Isthmian League Division One South club Leatherhead on loan for the entire 2008–09 season and made his debut on 20 September in the 2–1 home defeat to Metropolitan Police.

In September 2009, Etheridge underwent surgery on both knees. He was expected to be out for the entire 2009–10 season but returned in January 2010, eventually making nine appearances for the reserves. By the end of the season he signed a new one-year deal, keeping him at Fulham until the summer of 2011, thinking his quick recovery was the reason for his contract extension.

Etheridge received his first senior team call-up on 11 September 2010, when he was named on the substitute bench as cover for Mark Schwarzer in a home game against Wolves due to an injury to regular second choice goalkeeper David Stockdale.

Etheridge is a former England U-16 international, having featured in the Victory Shield in 2005,where England and Wales eventually shared the trophy. Despite representing England at youth level, he was still eligible to represent the Philippines through his mother.

In 2007, Etheridge received an invitation to play for the Philippines but declined the offer as he wasn’t too keen on the idea and didn’t know the language or the players. He was again invited in early 2008, this time by the new Philippine Football Federation president Jose Mari Martinez. He eventually accepted the invitation after speaking to the new manager and learning about the set up, as well as being convinced by Phil Younghusband that he’ll enjoy the experience.

Etheridge made his full international debut in the 2008 AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers playing in all three matches. He kept three clean sheets but the Philippines still failed to qualify with an inferior goal difference to group winners, Tajikistan.

He was called up again later that year for the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup qualification. In their opening match, Etheridge got his fourth successive clean sheet, as the Philippines defeated Timor-Leste 1–0. However, in their remaining three fixtures, Etheridge conceded five goals as the Philippines won another match, drew one and lost one. Similar to the Challenge Cup qualification, they would miss out on the Suzuki Cup. This time, they were level on points and goal difference but had an inferior goals scored record after finishing tied for second.
